Okay, this is totally random and I have no freaking clue if it makes any sense, but I have a tendency to hear a phrase and then interpret it in a completely wild, usually absurd way.  (Little single-digit me used to hear the Beatles’ “A Hard Day’s Night” and think it was a song about finance since he kept singing about getting someone a loan.)  And, while I’m aware what Bobby meant by “Family don’t end in blood,” my head is trying to kill me because… literally speaking, that’s got so much meaning.
The literal interpretation of the phrase is more like “family don’t end bloody,” and that pains me because, in the end, each and every relationship the characters ever have did end in blood, both literally and in a more figurative sense.
Azazel’s motivation for stalking their family was, after all, to feed Sam his blood.  (Literal)
Mary died.  (Literal: the image of blood spattering on Sam’s forehead is a continual motif)
Jess died.  (Literal: see parenthetical about Mary)
John died.  (More figurative, since he died, but it did occur after a) Azazel yanked an unfortunate quantity of blood out of Dean and b) the season finale/car crash that ended with copious amounts of blood drenching all three.)
Ash died.  (Figurative)
Jo and Ellen died.  (Literal: the main reason Jo couldn’t move is because she was bleeding out, after all.)
Bobby died.  (Pretty literal, but definitely at least figurative)
Kevin died.  (Mostly figurative, mainly because I can’t recall if smiting leaves the eyes bloody or just burned.)
Charlie died.  (Too literal.  I hate that scene.)
Crowley died.  (Figurative, I think.)
And the few relationships that manage to survive beyond death (Sam, Dean, and Cas themselves, mainly, with some additions) are veritably drenched in blood and mostly still have their final departures be through death.
Cas’ infamous departure was mostly figurative, but it’s also literal because he leaves behind a bloody parallel to the Perdition Handprint.
Dean + rebar; need I say more?  (Literal.)
And Sam’s a different case because, for some unknown reason, he’s an exception.  I won’t dwell here.
I don’t know if this makes any sense, but I saw the phrase again recently and, for some godforsaken reason, read it the literal way, so I decided to share the pain.

5x21 freeform rambling; that old "purity" complex again...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pure = poughkeepsie
There's something jarring in Pestilence and the camera sort-of implying that Dean is driven by simple rules. Pestilence even steps on his fingers in a way similar to the image of cutting of the fingers off the Four Horsemen.
Dean is always fighting for and against becoming the "pure, good righteous soldier." (Despite the widespread applause of Dean being "a righteous man," for me RIGHTEOUS is also one of those Poughkeepsie terms, and almost never associated with good, not truly.)
Whether or not Dean succeeds in casting off the good soldier label and casting off the soothing feelings of "pure places" depends on his psychological wounds of the moment, really.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And yet...despite AIMING for the cold perfection of angels and Purgatory, he can't help but embody humanity.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dean is fallible. He's wrong. He's weak.
He's violent and hypocritical at turns throughout the duration of the series, taking hard lines against loved ones: locking them away for their own good/detox, and hard stances against only the demons they choose to trust. Then getting mad when they later do the same to him. (Yes, even Sam in season 8-10; when you get down to it objectively, he's doing to Dean as Dean and Bobby did to him. Helping his family as he learned from his family helping him.)
As audience, we get really mad at Sam, because we just "trust Dean's judgment" more than we do Sam's. Uncomfortably though, the bones of it--that is, the structural components are indeed Sam going through the same motions of "not trusting your monster friend even though he/she saved your life and earned your trust in The War (hi Ruby)" AND "locking you up/detoxing you for your own good." That's just skeletal. IMHO, Dean made his own bed a little bit here, TBH.
In season 15, he even says: "I'm working with a demon. Again. You'd think I'd learn." (It's frustrating to watch him not learn. And yet, he's blown up over Sam and Cas repeatedly for doing the same thing. It's Different (TM) when it's Dean choosing to trust demons. It’s Different when Dean is the one running away/abandoning the Cause.
Dean's demons are lovable and trustworthy (even when they ofc they aren't; we see Crowley kill a crowd of innocent queer lovers as late as season 11, just to make a phone call; we see him let Lucifer out for the sole purpose of having a personal WMD).
Anyway, Dean is messy. He's human. He makes the wrong choices as often as any of the other characters. And he can be righteously self-destructive about it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The "testing" characters like Pestilence, Lucifer want to tempt our mains to fall into despair and hopelessness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But some of us keep the hope burning, even when the character has messed up really, really bad and made a bunch of wrong choices. And that's what I like the best!
I feel like Cas embodies this resilience so well!
Dean does keep trying. So does the rest of TFW.

PART I
Five weeks ago
John had grown tired of Sam’s constant complaining about finishing his sophomore year in one place, so he found a case out west and left his sons in this backwater town. The little money he’d left was running out, and when Dean couldn’t hustle anymore, he took a job at a local garage.
It wasn’t long after another problem arose.
Dean ran out of suppressants in one of the few states requiring a doctor's prescription. He was unsuccessful in obtaining them through less-than-legal channels. Out of options, Dean made sure his brother had everything needed for a few days before taking off to find someone to sink his knot into. He was chatting up a pretty brunette Beta in one of the low-end bars when their irate Alpha showed, and a rut-induced fight ensued.
When the local sheriff showed up at the ER, a doctor informed him the Alpha had died from exsanguination by canine perforation of the carotid artery. Dean, because he was now in full rut, was on IV sedatives, and the sheriff ordered him handcuffed to the hospital bed and posted a twenty-four-hour guard so he couldn’t escape. When Sam could not reach their dad, he called Bobby Singer, even though they were forbidden to contact the Beta after their Alpha fell out with the grumpy hunter.
The young Alphas' words spilled out in a jumble of profuse apologies and explanations, making Bobby’s temper flare. He always considered the brothers to be his kids, and upon hearing Dean’s going to jail and Sam was in North Dakota’s CYF custody, he wanted another shot at the elder Winchester with something more potent than rock salt. Reassuring Sam he’d be there by nightfall, Bobby pulled out his hunter contacts and started dialing, asking everyone in the vicinity to track John down ASAP.
When hitting town, Bobby’s first stop was the CYF holding facility. He presented the fake documentation verifying he was the brother's blood uncle and allowed temporary custody of Sam. Then, to find out what was happening with Dean, they headed to the police station, where Bobby flashed his FBI credentials to the officer in charge, whose response was that information would only be released when his Alpha arrived. He wasn’t allowed visitors except the public defender assigned to the case but slipped them a paper saying that Dean was charged with voluntary manslaughter.
Unable to do anything else and unwilling to sit around the rental while waiting for their pack Alpha, Sam went to the local library to research the state’s laws on his brother's case. At the same time, Bobby interviewed the witnesses from the bar that night, ensuring no unnatural forces seeking revenge against John had a hand in Dean's predicament.
Several days later, John rolled into town and went directly to the police station, where they informed him of the situation and then allowed a brief visit with his eldest. His fuming turned into a boiling rage as he walked towards the interrogation room. Out of all the shit Dean had done over the years, this proved what John always considered his subordinate offspring to be, a worthless fuck-up who was only good at taking orders, and John no longer wanted to deal with him.
Entering the interrogation room, he sees Dean seated at the table, tethered to it by his shackled ankles. The ruddy cast in John’s eyes that'd begun when Caleb found him envelopes his irises, and Dean suddenly found himself airborne, legs flailing as far as the chain aloud, kicks over the chair, then is slammed onto the table, the back of his head impacts the table with a sicking crack, trapped under the weight of his Alpha, his dad, whose hands that used to carry him as a young pup now are wrapped around his throat strangulating him.
Dean flashed back to the night his dad laid baby Sammy in his arms and ordered take your brother outside as fast as you can! And not look back! Over the next sixteen years, John’s mantra, watch out for Sammy, was burned into his psyche, but before he’d even been born, Dean already knew Sam was his in every sense of the word. He was about to lose consciousness when the door burst open, and three deputies barreled and tasered John, shocking the raging Alpha into unconsciousness.
Sam maneuvers around the chaos, drops to his knees next to Dean on the floor and rolls him onto his back, helplessly watches him gasping for air between bluish lips. Sam can sense that dark, angry thing that’s always there, slithering through his veins at the finger-shaped bruising developing around his brother’s neck makes his canines elongate and releases a bloodcurdling wrawl.
Silence fills the air except for Dean’s rasping breath as he watches his brother slowly stand up, appearing confused as to why everything is tinted a strange color. Sam, scanning the room with his glowing, extraordinary shade of red eyes, finally landed on John, feeling the deep-seat anger that while Dean’s lower status didn’t interfere with hunting, it’d never allow him to stand up to their Alpha about to explode.
 “Son, don’t.”
Sam finds Bobby’s voice absurdly loud and agitating but heeds the Beta’s advice as the deputies drag the eldest Winchester out of the room.
Tumblr media
Twenty-seven days later
At Dean Winchester's arraignment, the assistant DA said that due to the extenuating circumstances, him being on the cusp of a rut, and the Beta’s signed confession of deception in retribution for their deceased Alpha purchasing a House O, their office was willing to offer a plea deal. The Public Defender asked for a brief recess to discuss the terms when John stood up and said, “Your honor, there’s no need for a recess. I accept the deal.”
The court clerk read the agreement out loud for the record.
“Alpha John Winchester agrees to procure an Omega for the defendant, Subordinate Alpha Dean Winchester, within ten days from this date and time, and will present them before this court with the proper documentation. If he fails, the defendant will serve the mandatory five-year imprisonment per the state law of North Dakota. At that time, Alpha Winchester must also surrender custody of his other minor Alpha son, Samuel Winchester, who will be taken to foster care and placed in a court-sanctioned home until he is of age.”

T-Minus forty hours
Shouting and loud banging at the far end of the warehouse drew the attention of several patrons and suddenly stopped just as it started.
“Dean, go wait by the entrance.”
“What?” Dean snapped without thinking, and John grabbed his leather jacket collar, “Don’t you take that tone with me, boy,” he snarled in a low voice. “I’m having to clean up your fucking mess so your brother doesn’t end up in the system.”  Dean submissively replied, ”Yes, sir,” and walked away with Sam automatically following.
“No, Sam, you’re staying with me.”
Dean felt terrible for getting his brother mixed up in his mistake, noticing after they’d entered the warehouse, Sam kept trying to hide his natural, recently presented Alpha reaction to the scent of the O’s under his too-short hoodie, now forced by their Alpha to stay in the thick of it, so to speak. He watched Sam reluctantly fell behind his elder. “Let's get down to brass tacks, shall we?” The dealer gestures around. “Is there a specific type your son prefers?”
“Dean's preference of type doesn’t matter, but I want one under eighteen.”

Season 1, Episode 21 - Salvation
Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
Third Person POV
The silence was deafening as Sam drove down the interstate to Kansas. They decided to take F/N back to Kansas and give him a proper send off. His body was wrapped in a white blanket in the backseat of the Impala. Dean was behind him on Y/N's bike. Her arms wrapped around him tightly, her helmet covered head buried into the croak of his back. She was in no condition to drive at this very moment. The boys had to be strong for Y/N's sake right now, but seeing her so broken.
It tore into their souls. They lost a father figure themselves, but y/n lost her last bit of blood family. 'Family don't end in blood' as Bobby always said, but it still hurts like hell to lose those you care about. As much as Y/N and her father argued, she loved her dad. He was everything to her, a place in her heart no man could fulfill.
________________________________
Lawrence, Kansas
Y/N stood infront of the Hunter's Funeral Pyre, her eyes swollen and red, her face blank. A half drunk bottle of Jack in one hand and a almost burnt out cigarette butt in the other. She has cried her eyes out already, she felt drained as she watched her fathers body, wrapped in a white sheet on the pyer in flames. She left empty on the inside, constantly telling herself it should've been her on that pyre and not her dad.
She hadn't noticed when an unfamiliar van parked behind them. "Dad" Dean says in relief when he sees his father jump out of the van f/n loaned him for emergencies. Sam and Dean give their dad a quick hug, "How's she doing?" He asks his sons, concerned about Y/N. They look back at her with pity etched on their faces.
She was lost in her own thoughts, still not aware of John's presence. "She hasn't said a word since we left, Dad. Sam and I had to strap her in and everything. I rode her bike back and we took all the weapons from F/N's truck but abandoned it" Dean tells him, his voice broken. Seeing Y/N so pained yet so emotionless was heartbreaking for him. Not only losing a father figure but also the woman he loves looks like she's on the brink of insanity.
"She tossed that vampire through the air and made those car windows shatter with just her scream, Dad." Sam whispers to him. "You sure it was her?" John asks for confirmation. They both nod in unison. They shared a silent look, contemplating whether or not to tell their dad what they saw in her eyes when she shattered those windows with her mind.
"What is it boys?" John asks them when he noticed the look his sons shared. "Her eyes. They um...they turned...." Sam whispers, trailing off. "They turned what?" John asks him. "They turned white" Dean informs him. John nods, already having a mind of what's happening. "You're not concerned?" Dean asks him, surprised that John didn't have much of a reaction.
"It's typical for psychics' eyes to turn white when using an immense amount of power. It seems as though the trauma from...." John tears up a bit, taking a deep breath, "The trauma from F/N's death activated her powers. It's rare but not unlikely" He informs his sons who are astounded. Y/N is a full blown psychic now, they have no idea what her powers would be like. And neither does she.
"Is it true? Is the Colt real?" John asks them. They both nod, "Yeah. F/N used a bullet to kill the vampire that was going to kill Y/N. It's in the car" Dean tell him. John nods, stepping forward to walk closer to Y/N who's still stood infront of her fathers burning corpse on the pyer. "Hey sweetheart." He says gently, Y/N turns around eyes wide. "John" She croaks, tears again begin to well up in her eyes.
She flicks the cigarette butt to the side, John wraps his arms around her shoulder, pulling her in to a hug. "I'm so sorry about your father, y/n/n" John says genuinely, his chin resting at the top of Y/N's head, allowing his tears flow as he takes in the burning pyer with his fallen friend. A man he trusted with his life, a man he raised his children with side by side when their wives were taken from them.
A man he was proud to call his best friend and hunting partner, dare say, his brother. Now reduced to ash. "It's my fault" She drops her head, now sobbing again. "It's not your fault, Princess" Dean walks closer to her. Y/N breaks the hug with John, "You can't convince me otherwise charming" She says dryly sniffling, handing John the bottle of Jack. Dean pulls her in for a hug, she doesn't shrug him off this time.
She wraps his arms around her shoulders as John walks back to Sam who's leaning on the Impala, tears in his eyes. "He died protecting me, Dean. If Luther had just killed me first he wouldn't be-" She rambles but Dean cuts her off. "If you finish that sentence I swear Y/N...." He clenches his jaw. She sighs, sobbing. "Blaming yourself will send you down a deep rabbit hole, princess. We're here for you. And we'll never leave you...I'll never leave you" Dean promises her sincerely, tucking a stand of her messed up hair behind her eyes.
"Please don't" She pleads sniffling, her heart aching. Deans heart pangs painfully at her tone, she sounded absolutely broken. "Your father died getting that Colt, we have it now. And we're gonna get the thing that killed our moms. In honor of F/N. It's what he would want and you know it. We're stronger as a family, together. We'll get the son of a bitch" Dean assured her softly.
She looks back at the pyre, the heat from the flames gushing over her face. "Hey..." Dean uses his pointer finger to turn her face back to look at him. "I pinky promise" He gives her a small smile, putting up his pinky finger. She chokes back a sob, chuckling weakly. She puts her pinky finger up. "Pinky promise" She croaks, smiling tearfully as she locks her pinky with his.
Sam and John, who are leaning against the Impala, hands in their pockets. They tearfully smile as they look on at the two locking their pinkies together. John takes a swig of the whiskey before handing it to Sam, who accepts, taking a swig also.
________________________________
Sam, Dean, Y/N and John are now in a motel.
Their motel room was swarming with all of the information of the supernatural John and F/N had collected over the years. Papers stapled and tapes to the wall, John sat at the table while Sam and Dean sat on the bed. Y/N by the window, smoking again. Her expression blank, staring out the window. She nurses a glass of whiskey as she takes a drag.
"Here's to F/N L/N, a damn amazing hunter, a kick ass player of pool and poker, a father, a man I'm proud to have called my best friend. He didn't die in vain, he will be avenged" John and the kids toast to the life of f/n. They look up to the sky, "This one's for you buddy" John says heartedly. Tears in all of their eyes as they throw their heads back, gulping down the last of the Jack, her father's favorite.
Y/N grimaced harshly from the burn of the brown liquid. "So, this is it. This is everything I know" John begins, gesturing to all the information he had stuck to the walls. "Look kids, our whole lives we've been searching for this demon, right? Not a trace, just nothing" He adds. "Until about a year ago. For the first time, I picked up a trail" He explains.
"That's when you took off, then f/n found you and you guys conspired" Dean says. John nods. "The demon must have come out of hiding or hibernation" John suggest. "So, what's this trail you found?" Dean asks him. "Starts in Arizona, then New Jersey, California. Houses burned down to the ground. It's going after families, just like it went after all of us" John explains.
"Families with infants?" Sam asks. "Yeah" John nods. "The night of the kids 6-month birthday" He adds, this catches y/n's attention. "We were six months old those nights?" Y/N asks him in a croaky tone, finally speaking up. "Exactly 6 months" John sighs nodding. "So basically, this demon is going after these kids for some reason" Sam says. "Same way it came for us" Y/N scoffs, flicking her cigarette out the window.
"So Moms death, Mrs. L/N....Jessica. It's all because of us?" Sam says in disbelief. "We don't know that, guys" Dean says. "Oh, really? Because I'd say we're pretty damn sure, Dean!" Y/N snaps, raising her voice that cracks from her sore throat. "For the last time, what happened to Mom and Jess is not your fault, Sam!" Dean stresses. "And what happened to your mom and dad, isn't yours either, y/n" Dean tries to assure her but she rolls her eyes.
Shaking her head, "Yeah you're right, it's not our fault but it's our problem!" Sam defends, raising his voice. "No it's not both your problems, it's our problem!" Dean raises his voice. "Okay. That's enough" John cuts into their argument, he stands up from his chair. They all subside the argument, sighing.
"So why is it doing it? What does it want?" Sam asks him as Dean moves to where John was sitting. "Look, I wish I had more answers. I do. We've always been step behind it" John says a bit frustrated. "Look, I've never gotten there in time to save..." He trails off, it's painful enough to talk about Mary and now F/N's death was so fresh.
Silence fell in the room, "So how do we find it before it hits again?" Dean asks quietly. "There are signs." John answers, turning to his elder son. "Look. It took us a while to see the pattern but in the days before these fires, signs crop up in an area" He begins to explain. "Cattle deaths, temperature fluctuations, electrical storms" John lists off.
Dean looks up in realization when his father lists off the signs. "And then, I went back and checks, and..." John trails off. "These things happened in right here Lawrence" Dean points out. John nods. "A week before your mother and m/n died" He confirms. The three young hunters share a look before John turns to Sam. "And in Palo Alto....before Jessica" John says lowly, Sam's eyes filling with tears.
"And these signs, they're starting again" He tells them. "Where?" Y/N asks John. "Salvation, Iowa" John responds.
________________________________
Salvation, Iowa
The Impala, Harley and Ford Ranger drove past the sign leading into Salvation, Iowa. Sam in the Impala, John in the Ford Ranger and Y/N with Dean on the Harley. He refused to leave her side, she said she was okay to ride but he still didn't want to leave her to ride alone. Y/N and Sam notice John swerve into a track on the side of the highway, they're confused but follow him in.
John jumps out of his Ranger frustrated, "Goddamn it! Son of a bitch!" John punches the van. "What is it?" Dean asks him confused and concerned as he and Y/N take off their helmets. "We just got a call from Caleb" John tells him as Sam jumps out of the Impala. "Is he okay?" Sam asks him concerned. "He's fine. Jim Murphy's dead" John informs them, his tone angry. "Pastor Jim?" Sam asks him in shock, tilting his head.
John nods. "How?" Y/N asks. "Throat was slashed. He bled out" John looks down, still in shock that he not only lost his best friend but another one of his longest friends. The three young hunters are grief stricken, "Caleb said they found traces of sulfur at Jim's place." John adds. "A demon.." Dean says.
A look on his father face makes him raise his eyebrows. "THE demon?" Y/N asks shocked. "I don't know. Could be he just got- He just got careless, he slipped up. Maybe the demon knows we're getting close" John shakes his head in disbelief. "What do you wanna do?" Dean asks him firmly. "Now we act like every second counts" John responds.
"There's two hospitals and a health center in this county. We split up, and we cover more ground. I want records, I want a list of every infant that's gonna be 6 months old in the next week" John orders. "John, that's could be dozens of kids." Y/N exaggerates. "How the hell are we gonna know which ones the right one?" Sam questions his father in agreement to Y/N's point.
"We'll check them all, that's how" John answers firmly. "You two got any other idea?" John asks them in a hard tone. Sam and Y/N share a look, "No, sir" They respond in unison. They all turn to jump back on their vehicles, John stops and stares down for a second, Dean notices this. "Dad?" He calls out for his father in concern. "Yeah?" John responds turning back.
"It's F/N and now it's Jim" John says in a tearful tone. "You know..I can't" He looks up, tears welling in his eyes. "Yeah. Me neither" Y/N agrees in a croaky tone. John gives her a sympathetic look. "This ends now. I'm ending it. I don't care what it takes" John says firmly. Opening the door to the Impala, he jumps in.
Sam follows behind as Y/N and Dean hop back on Quinn. John starts the ignition, driving out. Y/N places her helmet on, Dean doing the same. He wraps his arms tightly around Y/N's waist. She dismounts her bike, the roar of her engine filling the quiet area. Riding out behind John.
Sam and Y/N are now at the Salvation Medical Center, looking over birth certificates after posing as officers. "Here you go, officers". A nurse approaches them, handing them another file of birth certificates. "Thank you" Sam thanks her. "You're welcome" The nurse smiles before walking off.
As Sam and Y/N walk out of the hospital to meet John and Dean. Their heads begin to pound, the familiar feeling of a building pressure in their heads. Flashes of a vision as they hold their foreheads in pain.
A lit lamp.
A dangling toy clown.
A woman in a white night gown and her baby, she's rocking her baby to sleep. A smile on her face.
She rests her baby down in her crib. Before giving her baby a kiss.
The sound of a train whistle blowing draws the mothers attention outside.
She walks downstairs to look out the window.
She then makes her way back up to her babys nursery, the sound of a music box playing.
When they open back their eyes, gasping from the pain. "Did you just.." Y/N asks him. Sam nods breathing heavily. "A train" Sam says. "Holy shit." Y/N gasps, she digs into Sam's bag and takes out a map. Shakily opening it, they both look for a train line on the map. "That's not too far from here" Sam points out. They share a look before following the map.
A couple blocks over, they run through a park. The pressure in their heads building up again. They hold their heads in pain, as a vision comes flashing again.
The woman opens her baby's nursery to see a strange hooded figure leaning over her baby's crib.
Sam and Y/N open their eyes again, walking a bit forwards. "You okay, Sammy?" Y/N asks him concerned. Sam seemed to be in more pain than her, "Yeah, I'm okay" He nods shakily. Her eyes flicker behind Sam, her mouth agape when she notices the house. "What is i-..." Sam asks her concerned, he turns around. His statement cutting short when he sees the house behind him.
The window identical to the one from the vision they both had. They look over to the sidewalk to see the same woman from their visions, walking with a umbrella over her head pushing a stroller. They share a look, "We gotta go talk to her" Sam says. "We can't just approach her Sam. It'll seem weird" Y/N says exasperated.
"We don't have a choice. Follow my lead" He grumbles. Y/N huffs, shaking her head. She obliged, following Sams leads. "Hi, here. Let me hold that. You look like you don't need that anymore" Sam says politely. Gently helping her hold the stroller. The woman smiles gratefully. "Hi. Thanks" She says sweetly. Closing her umbrella.
"She's beautiful. Is she yours?" Y/N asks her, smiling down at the baby. "Yeah" The woman responds smiling. "Oh wow. Hi" Sam waves at the baby smiling. "Oh. I'm sorry. We're rude. I'm Y/N and my fiancé Sam. We just moved in up the block" Y/N apologizes, putting her hand out to shake the woman's.
Sam raises his eyebrow at her lie but goes with it. "Oh hey, I'm Monica and this is Rosie" The woman politely introduces herself and her daughter. "Rosie? Hi Rosie" Y/N smiles, waving at the little baby. "So welcome to the neighborhood. It's good to have new couples in the neighborhood." Monica smiles. "Thank you" Sam says gratefully.
"She's such a good baby" Sam compliments Rosie. Monica smiles "I know. She- I mean, she never cries. She just stares at everybody. Sometimes she looks at you and I swear it's-" Monica chuckles. "It's like she's reading your mind" She says ironically. The two hunters share a look.
"What about you, Monica? Have you lived here long?" Y/N asks curiously. "Oh, my husband and I, we bought our place just before Rosie was born." Monica tells them, pointing to the house they saw in their vision. "And how old is Rosie?" Sam asks. "She's 6 months today" Monica says proudly.
Their faces drop, "She's big, right? Growing like a weed. I'm sure you guys can't wait to have your own" Monica says, she notices the sad look on Sam and Y/N's faces when she says this. "Oh gosh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to assume-" Monica apologizes profusely, assuming Sam and Y/N are having trouble procreating. "No! It's fine, we just uh...we-" Sam says awkwardly, internally grimacing at the thought.
"Just take care of yourself, okay?" Y/N says sweetly. "Yeah. You too, guys. We'll see you around" Monica says politely, pushing her stroller towards her house. "Yeah, definitely" Sam says, looking down. They both move across the street to hear a car honk. "Oh, there's Daddy" Monica says in a baby voice to her daughter.
A red SUV pulls into their driveway and a tall man exits, giving Monica a kiss. The two look on but are cut off when the pain in their heads hit again, a vision flashing again.
The music box in the Rosie's nursery is playing, a clown with other ornaments hanging above the baby's crib.
The music suddenly stops and the toys begin to move. A figure approaches the crib as Monica walks in.
She gasps when she sees the strange man in her room. "What are you-" She yells but is thrown into the wall by a force.
Monica grunts and screams as she's slid up the wall and onto the ceiling. "Rosie!" She screams, crying on the ceiling above Rosie's crib.
A familiar wound appears in her stomach, blood dripping down down into her crib.
Monica then bursts into flames, screaming as she burns on the ceiling.

After their visions returned, Sam and Y/N met back up in the motel room with John and Dean. Now explaining it, they're basically getting chewed out. "A vision?" John is in disbelief. "Yes" Sam and Y/N answer, sat by the table, groaning in pain as they rub their heads.
Dean and John were sat on the bed. "We saw the demon burning a woman on the ceiling" Sam says. "Right. And you think it's gonna happen to this you guys met woman because...?" He asks them. "Because these things happen exactly the way we see them" Y/N responds. Dean gets up, walking over to the fridge. "Yeah, they started out as nightmares. Then they started happening when they were awake" Dean explains.
"Yeah. It's like— I don't know. It's like the closer we get to anything involving the demon....the stronger the vision gets" Sam says, the two younger hunters still holding their heads in pain as Dean pours them some coffee. "Alright, when were you gonna tell me about this?" John asks a bit angry. They all turn to him.
"We didn't know what it meant" Dean puts it simply. "Alright, something like this starts happening to your brother and y/n, you pick up the phone and you call me" John states firmly. Y/N's eye twitches angrily towards John at his tone while Sam shakes his head annoyed. Dean places the coffee next to Sam, handing Y/N hers. "Call you? Are you kidding me?" Dean scoffs in disbelief at the irony, walking closer to his father as the agitation builds.
"Dad, I called you from Lawrence. Alright? Sam called you and I called f/n when y/n was dying!" Dean exclaims angrily. "I mean, getting you on the phone. I got a better chance at winning the lottery" Dean further retaliates. John looks down in shame, nodding his head at the fact his son was right. "You're right" John admits.
They were all surprised when those words came out of his mouth. "Although, I'm not real crazy about this new tone of yours, you're right. I'm sorry" John apologizes. "Look, guys, visions or now visions, the fact is, we know the demon is coming tonight. And this family's gonna go through the same hell we all went through" Y/N chimes in, stating the fact of the matter.
"No, they're not. No one is, every again" John says determined. Sam phone rings, he answers it. Putting it to his ear. "Hello?" He answers. "Sam?" A familiar woman's voice chimes over the phone in an excited tone. "Who is this?" He cocks his eyebrows. "Think real hard. It'll come to you" She smirks over the phone. Realization dawns on him, shock taking over. "Meg" he says in recognition.
Dean and Y/N's ears perk up at that name. Their gazes snapping to Sam. He turns to Dean and Y/N as John gets up from the bed. "Last time I saw you, you fell out of a window" Sam states. "Yeah, thanks to your bitch of a friend. That really hurt my feelings, by the way" Meg responds snarkily. "Just your feelings? That was a seven story drop." Sam scoffs. "Let me speak to your dad" Meg demands
He looks over at John nervously. "My dad? I don't know where he is" Sam lies quickly. "It's time for the grownups to talk, Sam. Let me speak to him now" She further demands. John puts his hand out for Sam to give him the phone. He hesitantly does so, Dean and Y/N look on, not knowing what to say or do. "This is John" John presses the phone to his ear.
"Howdy, John. I'm Meg. I'm a friend of your boys and their bitch" Meg introduces herself. "I'm also the one who watched Jim Murphy choke on his own blood" She smirks. John heart drops, "Still there, John boy?" She says in a mocking tone. "I'm here" He answers gruffly. "Well, that was yesterday. Today, I'm in Lincoln....visiting another old friend of yours and f/n" She tells him, looking down at Caleb who's tied to a chair in a basement, gagged.
"He wants to say hi" She pulls the bandana she gagged him with off of his mouth, putting the phone to his mouth. "John, whatever they do, don't give-" He goes to warn John but she pulls the phone away, "Caleb?" John gasps. "Caleb. You listen to me. He's got nothing to do with anything. You let him go" He demands. "We know you have the Colt, John" Meg says.
"I don't know what you're talking about" John denies. "Oh, okay. So listen to this" Meg smirks, wielding her knife, she slits Caleb's throat. John hears him gasping, gargling om his blood. "Caleb? Caleb?!" He calls out worried. "You hear that? That's the sound of your friend dying. Now let's try this again" Meg says menacingly, tears welling up in John's eyes.
"We know you have the gun, John. We know F/N found it and is dead. Word travels fast. So as far as we're concerned, f/n declared war and now you're in charge commander. This is what war looks like. It has casualties" She smirks. "I'm gonna kill you. You know that?" John growls angrily. Meg chuckles arrogantly. "Oh, John, please. Mind your blood pressure" She retorts dryly as John wipes his tears away.
"So this is the thing: We're gonna keep doing what we're doing. And your friends, anyone who's ever helped you and F/N, gave you shelter, anyone you ever loved. They'll all die unless you give us that gun" Meg threatens. John doesn't answer, the three young hunters looking on in concern. "I'm waiting, Johnny. Better answer before the buzzer" Meg says mockingly. "Okay" He responds quietly.
"Sorry. I didn't quite get that" Meg smirks. "I said, okay. I'll bring you the Colt" He says firmly. The boys and Y/N looks at him in disbelief. Y/N specifically getting angry. "There's a warehouse in Lincoln on the corner of Wabash and Lake. You're gonna meet me there" She orders him. He looks over at the younger hunters, only to be met with Y/N's furious look.
"It's gonna take me about a day's drive to get there." He tells Meg. "That's impossible. I can't get there in time and I can't just carry a gun on a plane" John scoffs. "Oh, then I guess your friends die, don't they?" Meg says ironically. "If you do decide to make it, come alone" She orders, hanging up. John then takes the phone off his ear, turning back to them.
"Are you kidding me?!" Y/N yells at John pissed. "Calm down, I think she's a demon" John says calmly, this makes Y/N's eye twitch more. "You think she's a demon?" Sam asks, "Either that or she's possessed by one. Doesn't really matter. I'm going to Lincoln" John says firmly. "Oh you've gotta be fucking with me" Y/N scoffs, chuckling humorlessly. The boys look over at her worried, "Excuse me?" John says baffled.
"I don't have a choice, y/n. If I don't go, a lot of people are going to die. Our friends die!" John says defensively. "MY FATHER DIED GETTING THAT GUN! He laid in my hands bleeding and took his last damn breath! The demon is coming for Monica and her family tonight. That gun is all we got, you can't just hand it over!" Y/N grits her teeth, eyes wide in anger. Tears streaming down her face.
Sympathy etched on all of their faces at her out burst. "Who said anything about handing it over sweetheart?" John says calmly, her anger diminishing a bit. "Besides us and a couples of vampires, no one's really seen the gun. No one knows what it looks like" John states. "So what, you're just gonna pick up a ringer at a pawnshop?" Dean scoffs. "Antique store" John responds.
They look at him in disbelief. "You're gonna hand Meg a fake gun and hope she doesn't notice?" Dean asks. "Look, as long as it's close, she should be able to tell the difference" John states. "Yeah but for how long? What happens when she figures it out?" Y/N asks. "I just- I just need to buy a few hours, that's all" John reasons. "You mean for me, Dean and y/n" Sam says in realization.
John doesn't answer, "You want us to stay here...and kill this demon by ourselves?" Sam says as Dean and Y/N look between him and John. "No, Sam. I wanna stop losing people we love. I want you to go to school, I want Dean and Y/N to have a home" John croaks, turning away so they don't see him crying. "I want my best friend back.....I want Mary and m/n alive" He sobs lightly, putting his hand over his face.
Their hearts panged hearing John sob. He turns back to them, his face stained with tears. "I just- I just want this to be over" He sniffles. Sam, Dean and Y/N share a painful look.
________________________________
It's the middle of the day. Sam, John and Dean are parked below the train tracks, rummaging through Dean cars anything John could use against demons. Most items were found from F/N's truck. The engine of Y/N's bike roar draws their attention to behind them. She swerves it, putting it in park. She turns the ignition off, then taking off her helmet. She then swings her leg off her bike before mounting her bike.
"Did you get it?" John asks her as she walks towards them. She nods, taking the paper bag with a gun inside from out of the inside of her jacket. She hands it to John. "You know this is a trap, don't you?" Dean tells him father as he takes the gun out of the bag, it was almost identical to the Colt. "That's why Meg wants you to come alone" Dean further states.
"I can handle her. I got a whole arsenal loaded" John states smirking cockily. "Holy water, Mandaic amulets-" He lists off but Dean cuts him off. "Dad" John looks up. "What?" He asks. "Promise me something" Dean says. "What's that?" John questions. "This thing goes south, just get the hell out. Don't get yourself killed, alright. You're no good to us dead" Dean pleads.
John looks down nodding. "Same goes for you" He responds smiling a bit. "Alright, listen to me." He begins, pulling the Colt out from his pocket. "They made the bullets special for this Colt. There's only four of them left and without them, this gun is useless" John explains to them. "You make every shot count" He orders them. "Yes, sir" The three young hunters respond in unison firmly.
"I've been waiting a long time for this fight. Now it's here, I'm not gonna be in it. And neither is f/n. It's up to you kids now" John says sadly, y/n looks down painfully at the mention of her father. "It's your fight. You guys finish this. You finish what we started. You understand?" John says firmly. They all nod.
Dean still looking unsure about the whole thing. John then hands the Colt to his elder son. "We'll see you soon, John" Y/N says to him. He turns to her and smiles, "I'll see you kids later" He pats Y/N and Sam on their shoulders. Walking over to the van. He opens the door and jumps in. Starting the ignition, he drives off.
Sam, Dean and Y/N look on as he drives away. "Later" Dean finally says. His mind still telling him that John shouldn't have gone.
________________________________
John pulls into the location Meg gave him, taking off his headlights. He jumps out of the van, the gun in his hand that he was gonna pass off as the Colt. He picks it in his pant and pulls out the holy water and Mandaic amulets from his pocket. Gripping them, he sticks them back in. Now walking towards the warehouse.
Meanwhile. Back in Iowa. Sam, Dean and Y/N are outside of Monica's house in the Impala. Y/N having left her bike at the motel. "Maybe we could tell them there's a gas leak. Might get them out of the house for a few hours" Sam suggests. "Yeah, and how many times has that actually worked for us?" Y/N scoffs ironically. "Yeah" Sam sighs in agreement.
"Could always tell them the truth" Sam shrugs. The three of them look at each other in silence before bursting out laughing. "Nahhh" Dean and Y/N laugh. "No I know I know I Just-" Sam laughs. "With what's coming for these people..." Sam sighs. "Guys, we only got one move and you know it. We gotta wait for that demon to show itself and then...we get it before it gets them" Dean says firmly.
"I wonder how dad is doing" Sam thinks out loud. "I'd feel a lot better is we were there backing him up" Dean sighs. "I'd feel a lot better if he were here backing us up" Y/N chuckles humorlessly. The boys nod at her statement, now looking back at Monica on the window.
Back in Lincoln, Meg enters the warehouse while John creeps around the side. Climbing up a shaft. He opens a tank with water that connects to the warehouse pipes, he begins praying in Latin, holding up the Mandaic amulet. After finishing the incantation, he drops the Amulet in.
Back in Iowa, "This is weird" Y/N says as they stalk Monica's house. Dean turns to her, "What?" He asks her. "After all these years, we're finally here" She says. "It doesn't seem real" Sam adds in agreement. In the back of deans mind, he agrees but they've gotta stay strong. "We just gotta keep our head and do our job, like always" He says. "Yeah, but this isn't like always" Sam further states. Dean turns back to them before saying, "True" He sighs.
"Guys, uh....I wanna thank you two" Sam says genuinely. They look at him confused, "For what?" Dean asks. "For everything" Sam smiles tearfully. "You two have always had my back, you know? Even when I couldn't count on anyways, I could always count on either of you. And now..." Sam says sincerely, trailing on. "I don't know, I just wanted to let you guys know that. Just in case" He finishes.
Y/N's eyebrow raises at the last part while Dean scoffs. "Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Are you kidding me?" Dean scoffs. "What?" Sam asks confused. "Don't say 'Just in case something happens to you'. We don't wanna hear that fucking speech man" Y/N says annoyed. "Nobody's dying tonight. Not us, not that family. Nobody!" Dean says in a hard tone.
"Except that demon. That evil son of a bitch ain't getting any older than tonight. You understand me?" Dean adds firmly, determination in his voice. Tension thick in the air. Sam and Y/N nod as they look back at the house.
Back in Lincoln. John appears behind Meg. She turns her head when she hears his footsteps. "John. You made it" She smiles darkly. "Too bad really. I was hoping to kill more of your friends" She smirks, her tone menacing. "Sorry to disappoint" John responds in a dry tone. "I can see where your boys get their good looks" Meg says in a flirtatious voice.
"Though I must admit, considering what they say about you, I thought you'd be taller." She mocks. John just stares at her, not answering. "Well, aren't you the chatty one" She says sarcastically. "Shame I never got to meet F/N, I'm sure he was just as yummy" Meg chuckles darkly hoping to take a bite at his grief, John narrows his eyes at her angrily. "You keep his name out of your filthy mouth" He growls angrily.
"There's the Winchester in you. You sound like Dean" She snaps back laughing. "You wanna get to business" She says, walking closer to him. "Fine. Why don't you hand over the gun" She puts her hand out for it. "If I give you the gun. How do I get out of here?" John says plainly. "Well if you're as good as they say you are, I'm sure you'll figure something out" Meh smirks. "Maybe I'll just shoot you" John says dryly.
"You wanna shoot me, baby? Go ahead, it won't end anything" Meg responds in a coy tone. "There's more where I came from." She says firmly. A man approaches from the dark behind her, "Who the hells that?" John asks. "He's not nearly as much fun as I am, I can tell you that. So I suggest you give us the gun" She smirks, demanding the Colt.
John smirks, looking at the man and back to Meg. "Now!" Meg demands, getting irritated she raises her voice. Putting her hand out. John hands her the gun, she examines it a bit and then turns back to John. "This is the Colt?" She cocks her eyebrow. John nods in confirmation. She hands it to her friend, "What do you think?" She asks him.
The man takes it, then looks back at John with a blank stare. He cocks it and in a swift motion. He aims it at Meg and shoots her. John begins to internally panic as she gasps in shock and pain. "You shot me!" She yells. "I can't believe you just shot me!" Meg further screams. "It's a fake!" The man yells before tossing the gun aside. Identifying it as a fake.
They glare at John who looks between the two of them nervously, both demons moving menacingly closer to him. "You're dead, John. Your boys and y/n are dead" Meg grits her teeth angrily. "I've never used the gun. How could I have known it wouldn't work" John lies fluidly. "I'm so not in the mood for this. I've just been shot!" Meg bellows.
"Well, then I guess you're lucky the hun wasn't real" John snaps back. Meg chuckles darkly, "That's funny, John. We're gonna strip the skin from your bones, but that was funny" She smirks, walking closer as John backs up. That's when steam starts hissing from the outside, drawing Megs attention away from John. He then makes a break for it, locking a door behind him.
He jumps down from the side he crept up to the warehouse, running down the hall. John then turns on a pipe that's attached to the tank he throw the amulet in. The water spraying, coating the floor as it runs down the drainage. Meg and the man look at each other while John has a smirk on his face. The man then steps onto the water, only for the water to burn through his shoes. He groans painfully, falling back toward Meg.
They look at John in shock. "Holy water, John. Real cute" Meg snarks. John's smile widens, strolling away from the two demons who're stuck.
________________________________
Back in Iowa, Dean tries calling his father. Huffing when he doesn't pick it, "Dads not answering" Dean huffs, flipping the phone shut. They look back at the window of Monica's house, "Maybe Meg was late. Maybe the cell receptions bad" Sam suggests. "Yeah, well..." Dean sighs, shaking his head.
The radio then begins to ring a static like noise, this makes Y/N's head snap towards it. "Fellas, wait..." She says, turning the radio up. They look curiously, "Listen" She whispers, raising it louder. The wind outside begins to accelerate as the radio booms a voice mutter, sounding almost like a man. The leaves outside blowing towards the house. The lights inside and outside of the house flickering.
They call share a terrified look, "It's coming" Sam gasps. They all immediately jump out of the Impala, running towards Monica's house.
Back in Lincoln. John finally reaches his van, stopping in his tracks when he sees the tires have been slashed. "Damn it!" He huffs. Checking his phone, only to have no cell reception. "You gotta be kidding me!" He groans in frustration, running out into the street.
Back in Iowa. Dean opens the door to Monica house after Y/N quickly picked the lock. The quietly enter as Dean closes the door behind him. They slowly walk in but then, "Get out of my house!!" Monica's husband screams, swinging a bat at Dean, who quickly dodges, making the bat swing against a lamp, smashing it into pieces.
Dean grabs the bat and slams the man into the wall. "No! Please! Please!" Sam and Y/N plead with him to listen. "Be quiet and listen to me. We're trying to help you" Dean tries to explain to the man, having him up against the wall with the bat to his neck. "Charlie?!" Monica calls out for her husband from upstairs.
"Okay?" Dean pleads as Charlie breathes heavily. "Everything okay down there?!" Monica asks from upstairs. "Monica, get the baby!" Charlie screams to warn Monica. "No!" Y/N yells. "Don't go in the nursery!" Sam screams. "You stay away from her!" Charlie screams trying to push Dean off but he punches him, knocking Charlie out instantly.
Sam and Y/N made a break for the stairs as Monica opens the nursery door to see a strange man leaning over Rosie's crib. "What are you—?" She gasps terrified, only to be slammed against the wall by a force and slid up the wall onto the ceiling. They run into the room, Y/N with the Colt in her hands.
"Rosie!" Monica screams tearfullly for her daughter. Sam and Y/N are now toe to toe with the demon who turns to them, glowing his yellow eyes. They're terrified but Y/N raises the Colt and shoots instantly, only to miss because the demon had disappeared in a ball of smoke. Monica screams when she falls from the wall infront of Sam and Y/N.
"Where the hell did he go?!" Sam yells shocked. "My baby!" Monica screams, "No, hey. Wait!" Sam and Y/N try to stop her from going over to Rosie's crib. "No!! My baby!!" Monica's cries. Dean emerges through the door, "Get her out of here. I got it. Take her and go!" Dean orders them loudly. They drag Monica out of the room as Dean wraps Rosie up.
After taking her out of the crib and running back downstairs, the crib almost immediately bursts into flames. "Deans got her!" Y/N assures her.
Meanwhile, back in Lincoln. John runs around the side of the building to get some cell reception. He pulls out his phone and begins dialing. Only to be thrown into the wall by a sudden force. "Aah!!" He grunts in pain, groaning from the force crushing him. The man from earlier with Meg, emerges from the dark as the force drags him up the wall. John grunts in pain as the man walks closer to him. A dark smirk on his face.
Back in Iowa. They all run downstairs, Dean with Rosie in his hands. The house in flames. All coughing from the smoke. "You get away from my family!" Charlie, who was outside, yelled at the three hunters, going to attack them.
"No, Charlie, don't. They saved us!" Monica stops him from attacking. "I mean, they saved us" She chokes a sob, putting out her hands so Dean could hand her Rosie. She takes her baby crying, going over to her husband. "Thank you" She thanks them tearfully. They look on at the house, Y/N's eyes widen when the the figure of a man appears in the nursery window that's in flames.
"It's still in there" She growls, ready to run back in but Sam and Dean stop her, holding her back. "Y/N. Y/N! No!" Sam yells as they hold her back to push her towards the Impala. "Sam! Dean! Let me go, it's still in there!!!" She screams, trying to break out of their holds. "Its burning to the ground! It's suicide!!" Dean shouts. "I don't care!" She screams.
"Well I do!" He bellows, her heart dropping. Y/N calms down a bit as Sam and Dean turn back to the house. Their eyes landing in the shadow of the man, it then disappears in the fire. Y/N clenches her jaw angrily as they look on at the house engulfed in flames, burning to the ground.
________________________________
Now back at their motel room, Dean is trying to get a hold onto John. "Come on, Dad. Answer your phone, damn it!" Dean grumbles exasperated as Sam sits on the bed fuming, his head buried in his hands while Y/N sits on the window still, her face blank as she stares out the window. Her jaw clenching. Dean hangs up the phone after not getting onto John.
"Something's wrong" He says to Sam and Y/N. Sam nor Y/N answer, he looks up from his phone turns to them. "You two hear me? Something's happened" Dean states again. "If you had just let me go in there...I could have ended all this" Y/N's tone is low, shaking her head is frustration as she takes a drag from her cigarette.
Dean moves closer to her, his face contorted with disbelief just like Sam's. "Y/N, the only thing you were gonna end was your life" Sam scoffs. Y/N's gaze snaps to him, "You don't know that" She says firmly, blowing out the smoke. "So, what, you're just willing to sacrifice yourself, is that it?" Dean says irritated.
Her eyes wide with determination, she gets up from the window still, walking up to Dean. "Yeah. Yeah. You're damn right I am" She says firmly. Dean is stunned by this, "Yeah well that's not gonna happen. Not as long as we're around" Sam responds in the same tone. "What the hell are you two talking about? We've been searching for this demon our whole lives! It's the only thing we've ever cared about!" She argues, pacing the room.
"Y/N, I wanna waste it. I do. Okay? But it's not worth dying over!" Dean further argues. "What?" She says in disbelief looking over at Sam. "I mean it. If hunting this demon means you getting yourself killed, then I hope we never find the damn thing!" He adds angrily, his heart pumping out of his chest.
"That thing killed Sam's girlfriend. It killed my mom and yours. It's the reason my dad is dead!" Y/N defends. "Y/N....please" Sam says softly, pleading with her. "We'll get it" He assures her, tears in his eyes. She huffs, taking a drag of her cigarette. "Look, Sam said once and you agreed. That no matter what we do, they're gone. And they're never coming back" Dean tries to reason with her.
Her eyes widen with anger, a laugh rolling out of her tongue. She chuckles humorlessly, strolling back over to the window as the boys look at her in confusion. She takes a drag of her cigarette again before crushing it in the ashtray. She turns back to Dean, her shoulder shaking as she laughs, tears still in her eyes. A look on her face that they've never seen before and to be quite frank, it scared them.
"You son of a bitch" She chuckles dryly. Her face then contorting into anger before swiftly grabbing him by his collar and slamming him into the wall roughly. "You don't say that! Not you!" She growls enraged. Sam shoots up from the bed but Dean puts his hand up, stopping him. Indicting he's fine. "Not after all this. Don't you say that!" She breathes heavily, her entire body shaking from the rage and grief.
"Princess, look...I am so sorry about your father. I really am" Dean says sincerely, his tone breaking, still up against the wall. Tears well up in y/n's eyes again. "But the four of us....that's all we have" Dean voice wavers. "That's all I have" He adds, tears welling up in his eyes also as Y/N grips his collar tightly, shaking her head angrily.
"Sometimes I feel like I'm barely holding it together, babe" He admits tearfully. This makes her feel terribly guilty. She huffs, tears falling down her cheeks. Her heart aching as she shakes her head. Her grip loosens on his collar. "Without you, Sam or Dad. I..." Dean stops when she fixes his collar back, patting his chest, "Fuck. I'm so selfish" She wipes her tears, walks back to grab her phone.
"John...he should've called by now. Try him again" She sniffles, trying to calm herself down. She hands Dean her phone, he takes it and dials Johns number. Y/N sinks in the bed next to Sam as Dean puts the phone to his ear, "You kids really screwed up this time" Meg answers smirking. Deans face drops, looking over to Sam and Y/N.
Y/N sat on the bed next to Sam, her head bowed as he rubs her back comfortingly. "Where is he?" Dean clenches his jaw. His tone makes Sam hand holt from rubbing Y/N's back, the two younger hunters looking up at him in concern. "You're never gonna see your father again..." Meg says menacingly. Both Sam and Y/N's face and heart drop when they see Deans fearful expression.
To Be Continued...

Recent high school graduates Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak have been friends since childhood, and dating in secret for a little over a year. But their relationship has an expiration date: Cas is leaving town, and Dean… well, Dean isn’t. Not with his dad breathing down his neck and a family business to run.
For their final date, Dean takes Cas to the old skating rink where they used to spend time as kids. What Dean doesn’t know is that when the rink closed down, something else took up residence there. And it won’t let them go without a fight. Link to Fic || Link to Art
The (After) Life of the Party || Rated M
story by @thebatmandiaries with art by @milfycas
After a fight with Sam one night, Dean wakes up in a world he is unfamiliar with. This world only has one rule: kill or be killed. Clutch || Rated M
story by @dogfishmonger with art by @dolgoyangi
Dean is a normal, stable man in his 20s: He has a job. He has a boyfriend of three years, even if they're on the rocks. He has a little brother in pre-law. There are, simultaneously, things in his upbringing that he simply isn't supposed to question: His father's unexplained, undefined trips out of state. His mother's death. The body he once found in the basement. When Sam runs off in search of answers, Dean and Cas head east to find him. But after catching up with him, something's... different. Wrong. Dean and Cas are at odds—again—with Dean believing that Sam could be in danger, and Cas suspicious that Sam is the danger. Returning to normalcy will involve more digging into forbidden territory than Dean was ever prepared for. In the end, he doesn't even know if it was worth it. They're left with just as many questions as answers, and the answers they do have are ugly, insidious things, glistening oil-spill black and undulating. Link to Fic || Link to Art
The Void Within || Rated E
story by @preetkiran1016 with art by @sketcheun
Dean's still getting used to the ache of loss and grief burning a hole into his chest. Still not used to the empty space where his brothers used to be. His life is a day to day drudgery, the eternal crawl, and since Cas broke up with him, he's not quite sure what he's got left to stick around for. When Jack and Claire go missing, well, he can't just sit back and watch. Digging deeper, Dean finds himself caught in the middle of a complicated web he can't hope to begin to untangle. Missing Kids, Doomsday Cults, and the sudden return of Castiel in his life have Dean spiraling, even with his trusted Service Dog, Miracle, by his side. But the one question remains, above all others- Who were the Men of Letters, and what were they doing in Lawrence? Dean doesn't think he's going to like the answer. Link to Fic || Link to Art

At the mercy of the darkness around them, Dean and Castiel must face a creature of immeasurable strength and insatiable hunger, with light as their only salvation. The Elevator Game || Rated E
story by @motherofdragonflies with art by @xfancyfranart
The game is simple. Get in an elevator, and follow the rules. If you follow them correctly, the elevator will rise and when the doors open, they will open onto a world that is not your own. When his brother goes missing after investigating the death of a teenage girl in a hotel in St. Louis, Dean Winchester is dismayed to discover it involved an internet legend called “the Elevator Game”. He’s even more dismayed when Castiel—who walked away weeks ago and hasn’t been returning Dean’s calls—shows up, also looking for Sam. Dean doesn’t want to work with Castiel, and Castiel doesn’t seem thrilled about working with him, either. Can they put their differences aside when they discover that Sam disappeared after playing the Elevator Game? Will Dean and Castiel play the game and travel to the Other World themselves? Will they find Sam before it's too late? The choice, dear reader, is yours. You are in control of the story. But choose wisely, for once you play the Elevator Game, things may never be the same again. Link to Fic || Link to Art

At first, Castiel gets under Dean's skin, but they soon develop a friendship within the isolated house they're living in. Despite how haunted he is by his past, or how Castiel seems able to read his mind, Dean feels drawn to him and can't help but take things further. Rough Trade || Rated E
story by @squirrelofcelestialintent with art by @alicetallula
Dean is used to doing what he has to in order to get by, especially whenever his tough, temperamental father kicks him out during one of his rages. Even if it means getting on his knees for a little extra cash. He can take care of himself. He always knew the dangers of a trick going sideways, and he accepted it. What he didn’t expect was for someone to burst out of the darkness and save his sorry ass. Least of all a weird, nerdy little dude who seems to have just as many secrets as Dean and doesn’t know how to use a vending machine. Dean has street smarts and Castiel has (a little) cash. They’re both headed for the west coast to find their families. Teaming up seems like a safe bet. But the more time Dean spends with Cas, the weirder he seems. And the more he suspects that what he saw Cas do to his attacker on the day that he saved him - the terrible, inhuman thing - wasn’t a trauma induced hallucination after all. Screw it. With someone on their tail, Dean’s going to find out who his real enemies are soon enough. Link to Fic || Link to Art

Idjiots (sam x male reader)

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The store was a busy place, it was full of human people. People who had blood running through their veins without a care in the world. Humans who had a family to get home to take care of. Human, that's all you could smell. It filled rooms wherever you went.
After years or practice you could control yourself in a room full of people. However that doesn't stop the smell from circling you. You had being working on self control for years now. With the help of your father...well with whom you considered your father.
Grabbing some fruits and some more vegetables after getting the basic things someone would get at the store you paid with the money you had brought with you and started heading home.
Once you exited the store the smell of the world was now around you. No longer were the strong temptations around you. Carrying the five bags you had in your arms you passed through people on the sidewalk and crossed the streets.
When you arrived home you hadn't been paying attention to if anyone had been there since its usually just you and your dad. You cant tell just anyone that Bobby Singer is your dad given his history and your own. Opening the door you start talking as you head straight to the kitchen. "so they didn't have everything that you needed on your list but i got other things that should work instead"
The three men who were sitting with Bobby all looked over at you before the oldest spoke up. "who the hell are you?" Turning around as you place down your bags onto the counter you look over at him. "I'm y/n and who the hell are you?"
" Im dean" after hearing his name you were finally able to put a face to the name. Bobby had told you stories about them and how they wouldn't take to kindly to you if they found out your a vampire. So he had said if you ever met them that you would have to get them to like you first before telling them.
Reaching for your items you begin putting them away as you speak. "well I pictured you to be very different. From all the stories I was told" Bobby knew what you were doing. He had told you about how Dean had a big Ego.
"Am i not living up to the idea you had of me?" he asked as you finished putting everything away and walked into the room with them. You looked at him and looked at Sam momentarily "I pictured you more attractive...and taller but I guess I was thinking of the wrong brother"
Sam looked up at you while Dean Smirked a little bit. "Well not all of us can have good taste" Which ended up with dean getting punched in the shoulder by Sam. "what did you say your name was again?"
"His name is y/n and he is my son..i guess you could say" Bobby answered "its a long story" Sam looked at him and shrugged "We've got time"
As you sat down Bobby began to tell them the story of how you two met and everything. Leaving out the part of you being a vampire. He always told you that if you ever wanted someone to know, you should tell them. Not him.
Once the story is finished you all talk for a while about their current hunt and some other things. And before you know it, its late and everyone is getting tired. "you guys can stay a few nights. So you don't have to worry about a hotel or anything while you hunt"
-----
Early in the morning you were sitting at your desk drawing. However the sounds of snoring were filling your ears since you could hear everything with your vampire abilities.
The sun had started to rise which caused you to finally look at the clock seeing its 7:00. You sigh and get up from your seat heading downstairs to see Sam passed out on the couch looking extremely uncomfortable. He got the choice of the couch since Dean and him played rock paper scissors and lost.
Feeling sorry for him you walked over and knelt down beside him and run your hand up and down his arm lightly. "Sam, wake up." Soon enough his eyes open and he looks at you "sorry you just looked very uncomfortable." taking your hand off him you stand up. "I'm going to make breakfast for everyone. Why don't you just go take my room in the meantime"
He slowly wakes up and sits up on the couch running his hand through his hair. "no no I need to get up. I'm usually up by now." Laughing a little as you walk to the kitchen "Must have had a long night then. You and Dean did drink a bit last night"
You were met with silence as you got out some eggs, bread, bacon and potatoes. Thinking that Sam went to your room to lay down you started to play some music, making sure to keep it at a low volume.
When you started to cook you hear footsteps behind you and its Sam beginning to scramble the eggs. He must have felt your eyes on him cause he smiled a little "I wanted to help. You made us dinner last night its the least I can do" You smiled softly as you continued to cook "thank you Sam"
---
As you guys cook you hum along to the music that plays. Sam remains quiet, just listening to the food cook and your humming. However when Paramore comes on you begin go sing a little louder. Still remaining at a quiet tone since everyone is still asleep.
"I should be over all the butterflies, but I'm into you. I'm into you" You sing as you plate food for you and Sam.
"And baby even on our worst nights I'm into you, Let them wonder how we got so far" Sam joins in causing you to look at him and continue.
Let them wonder how we got this far, cause I don't even need to wonder at all" you sing and then you both sing the next line simultaneously. "after all this time I'm still into you"
You both continue to sing as you finish the food. Only stopping when you hear deans voice "okay you two love birds. I smelled food, didnt know a concert was available too" Turning around you see Dean grabbing a plate while your dad looks at you shaking his head chuckling to himself.
-----
The week goes by pretty fast. Too fast for your liking. You and Sam had gotten extremely close over the week along with everyone else. Your dad seemed happier when they were home, it was obvious to you but not to everyone else.
You were always super observant over peoples attitudes and feelings. However what you weren't observant of was Sam's feelings for you.
Since day one you had found Sam attractive, the fact that he was tall also didn't help at all. You and Sam watched movies together in your room at night when everyone was asleep. Made breakfast for everyone since the day you guys got caught singing.
Sam also couldn't help but start to like you too. First impressions are everything to him and you gave him a hell of an impression. When you joked with Dean the first time you guys met. Then how you were so caring towards everyone you cared for and yes that included him and Dean.
You two were oblivious even though you both flirted with each other all the time. However who wasn't oblivious to all of this was Dean and Bobby. They planned on doing something about it because they were tired of seeing the back and forth shit.
----
On the last day they were going to be there it was a sunny day after raining for days. You felt yourself grow sad and slightly moody the longer the day went on. Sam and Dean were out catching the monster/s while you had stayed behind since they didn't need extra help.
Your dad is sitting on the couch drinking a beer when you sigh and grab a water bottle before walking into the living room. Bobby was reading his journal when you grab his beer and replace it with a water. "hey what the hell?" he says as you roll your eyes "Your liver has to be shit by now. With how often you drink."
He sit on the couch looking over at you now glaring at you. "listen just because you are upset over dean and your precious Sam are leaving today doesn't mean you get to take my beer!"
His tone wasn't actually upset he was just trying to get a reaction out of you and you knew that. So now you glare at him "just drink the damn water Bobby. Please" you say and he sighs before taking a drink of his water and continuing his reading.
A few hours go by and you had been keeping yourself busy not wanting to stop moving because you know if you did then you would think about how Sam is going to leave for who knows how long.
You were currently cleaning the kitchen making it spotless when the door opens the guys come back. When they come in they see Bobby drinking water causing dean to speak "I didn't know you knew what water was Bobby"
Bobby looks over and shrugs "y/n over there is in one of his moods. He hasn't stopped moving since you guys left" Dean knew why that was but Sam was to busy walking over to you and grabbed your arms lightly stopping you from cleaning the counters which were already clean "y/n slow down. There is nothing to clean"
Stopping your movements you look over at Sam and place down the rag onto the counter and let out a breath you hadn't known you were holding. "I'm sorry" you say as Sam pulls you close to him and he rests his head on top of yours. "its okay. No one is mad." he pulls away and gives you a small smile before Dean places his hand on Sam's shoulder "okay Sammy lets go grab our things and put them in the car"
Sam goes to the extra room and gets everything. While you go to the living room waiting to tell the both of them goodbye. Bobby ends up walking over to you "Tell the guy how you feel son." you shake your head "no there is no point. We never know how long they will be gone for. Or if they will even come back and we both know you wont let me go with them because of my...condition"
Bobby is silent especially when the both of them come down with their bags. He does go help Dean carry the stuff leaving Sam and you by the door.
Looking up at Sam you nod "well looks like its goodbye for now huh?" Sam nods and looks down at you "You know ill be back. Cant stay away from Bobby for long. ya know?" His words cause you to chuckle "oh yes sure. Bobby is always such a joy to be around"
Sam looks around and notices Dean give him a look encouraging him to do something. So he takes places his hand on your shoulder "look I will call you every day. Hell id invite you to come along but Bobby would probably have some words to say about that one. But i dont want to leave till I do something"
"do what" you ask as he brings his hands to the sides of your face pulling you into a kiss. He leans down quiet a bit as you wrap your arms around his waist.
When the both of you pull away you're both smiling like kids at a candy factory. You place your hand on his chest "I might just have to sneak away and come join you guys on your adventure"
Sam laughs and you both look over at Bobby when he whistles for everyone's attention. He holds out a bag and its the same one you had in your room. "well what are you waiting for Idjiots. Better leave before I change my mind"
Sam who was holding onto your hand walks with you to your dad and you hug him. He pats your head "be safe alright."
"yes ill be safe and blah blah blah. As long as you promise me one thing?" he looks at you with a questionable look "alright what do I have to promise to"
"drink more water, try to be a bit more healthy. Trust me i will know if you don't" he rolls his eyes "alright. Now you boys better get going"
The three of you nod and say quick goodbye and you say a quiet "i love you" to your dad before getting into the car in the backseat as the two boys sit in the front and start driving off.

I SWEAR TO GOD! They need to take shots of holy water everytime they see each other! Bring back Cristo, this is ridiculous. But Meg's back! Bobby, sadly got possessed, but he resisted cus they were gonna make him hurt one of his boys 😭😭😭 John could never. This poor Nick dude is going through it, but he is funny. 'Ok Satan 🙄 tell me to quit drinking before bed' 'if it's all the same to you I'd like to wake up now' 'why the hell would I do something like that'. Dean is the vessel for Michael. All but two Angels are massive dicks. But guess who's back to save the boys? Castiel, being a bad ass and....carving things into the boys ribs.
AHHHHH BOBBY REASSURING SAM THAT IT WAS THE DEMON THAT TOLD HIM TO LOSE HIS NUMBER 😭😭😭 CUS BOBBY BELIEVES FAMILY IS FAMILY NO MATTER WHAT AND IT DON'T END IN BLOOD. But Dean doesn't think he can trust Sam anymore cus he took a demon's side over his brothers 😭😭😭

Imagine being Sam's twin with abilities of your own: Pt. 4
Tumblr media
"Another nightmare?"
"I don't wanna talk about it." Every agonizing second of it. Every claw mark inside you, tearing you to shreds. Sam didn't remember dying. Those moments you bled out were burned into your memory. Sometimes, you wondered if she left something in you. If there was something still torn up, carved into you. You wondered if you came back wrong. You could feel it in your back, your spinal chord. She'd toyed with it, plucked it from you and snapped it into pieces. You can still taste the blood in your mouth, choking on it. Every night since you've died, you die and die and die again. Every time you close your eyes, you relive that day. You and Andy and Ava. In that room. In that house. And every fucking time, every time, you end up dead. No matter what you do or say or think. It's inevitable. You wake up gasping for air. You wake up grasping for him.
"Do you wanna talk about Andy?" Sam saw the way you were over his body. The crying. The way you held him. That day, the way you looked at one another, constantly stealing glances and sharing jokes. There was more going on than they expected. When he told Dean, he couldn't believe it. You haven't brought him up, though. You haven't said a word about that day. He figured it was better to talk about it than bottle it up inside. You accused him of being a hypocrite. He shut down when Jess died. Why couldn't you? You said that Andy meant nothing, desperate to end the conversation from either one of them. Whatever you had or did or wanted, it was nothing. It killed you to say that, knowing somewhere he could hear you, but it was easier than facing it. It was easier than reminding yourself about the phone calls you used to have, the way he grabbed your hand, and how set he was on protecting you.
"Please, Sammy." You beg but don't have the energy to finish. He starts to say something else but decides to drop it. He knows he should keep asking and keep pushing, but he doesn't. You finally had your family back. The two of you are waiting in the car while Dean got to have a little fun. One year, that's how long he got for both of your lives. One year for Sam to figure out how to make it stop, to save him. He didn't want to waste it fighting with you. Dying did something to you, though. It made you colder. Harder. Quieter.
"Sometimes dead is better." You say finally, your head pressed against the window. You draw little circles into the condensation. A silence settles over the impala. Pet Sematary. You never thought you'd have anything in common with that stupid cat. You weren't mad at Dean for bringing you back. You were his kids, his twins, after all. His goal in life was to protect you. The two of you dying on the same day? That was just bad luck. But a very small piece of you, too small to name, wishes he hadn't. That piece wonders about the peace you felt after the agony. It wishes you could feel it again, if only for a few seconds.
It wishes he'd let you rest.
Bobby said you were grieving, yourself and Andy, caught in the depression stage. You thought it was bullshit. Sam wasn't so skeptical. He was so grateful to be alive, he couldn't believe what you were saying. Maybe they needed to get you help, real help. Maybe you needed to talk to someone. Dean was busy living his life to the fullest, but you? It's like you wanted to stay dead. It didn't make any sense to him.

I think dean in that world just would enjoy variety, and is used to eating different things since I believe he lived in the city
Context
Hmm... but Dean Smith isn't consuming a variety of foods?
He opens the episode talking on the phone about having not been in the gym in a long time and feeling flabby. He ends up getting the recipe for a juice cleanse meant to help you lose weight:
DEAN Oh I hear you. No, I haven't been to the gym in ages. Carrying a little bloat around myself. It's a sedentary lifestyle, my man, no two ways. —All right, tell me one more time. You said lemon and—what was it? Cayenne and maple syrup, are you serious? How much did you lose?
He later indicates to Sam that he's on a juice cleanse:
DEAN It's the Master Cleanse. You tried it? Phenomenal. Detoxes you like nobody's business.
Sam comes to his house and he tells him he's thrown out all the carbs in the house:
SAM Yeah. I could use a beer. DEAN Oh, sorry, man. I'm on the Cleanse. I got rid of all the carbs in the house.
So he isn't eating a variety—he's eating "healthy". I don't know—I think it means something, though I'm not totally married to the "cleansing sin" idea, I think there's some suggestive evidence for it.
Another idea is that it could be totally Zachariah's influence—assigning "Sam" traits to Dean as another intended jab to reinforce Sam's belief that Dean is being assigned traits and roles that should be his.
Another idea, connected to the guilt idea, is that it just represents Dean's desire to distance himself from who he is, his family, and his history. Dean's relationship with greasy food and the comfort he receives from it is deeply connected to his upbringing imo. In this reality, he's also given the father he always wanted as his biological father (Bobby) and Sam is not his sibling—Jo is, and Ellen is his mom. He's freed from his ties to Sam and John. I think the hints of insecurity about his body lend to a different reading though.
One could also say Dean Smith's interest in dieting perhaps represents Dean's desire for a long life outside of the context of hunting, in contrast to 4.12 "Criss Angel Is A Douchebag":
DEAN Man...hope I die before I get old. Whole thing seems brutal, don't it? SAM You think we will? DEAN What? SAM Die before we get old. DEAN Haven't we both already? SAM You know what I mean, Dean. I mean, do you think we'll still be chasing demons when we're 60? DEAN No, I think we'll be dead...for good. What? You want to end up like -- Like travis? Huh? Or Gordon, maybe? SAM There's Bobby. DEAN Oh, yeah, there's a poster child for growing old gracefully. SAM Maybe we'll be different, Dean. DEAN What kind of Kool-Aid you drinking, man? Sammy, it ends bloody or sad. That's just the life.
What Dean says in 4.12 (and what Sam does in response—go back to drinking demon blood) is about Dean (at this point in his life) feeling trapped in hunting, and wanting to die young because he doesn't want the pain he's feeling to go on forever as he gets sadder and sadder. But when he's out of the hunting life and away from the John -> Sam dynamic, he's interested in cultivating a healthier lifestyle (based on his understanding of health—these juice cleanses are nonsense imo) so he can live a long, healthy life.
Ultimately though, I think to me so far, the guilt angle/desire to be cleansed of sin seems to fit the best.

Dimensional Shift - Chapter 7 S4E3-6
Story Summary: Maria was just a regular girl, worked at a gas station, wrote fanfic, and loved Supernatural. She even created her own supernatural creature for her writings. When the aurora borealis comes to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, one Halloween night, everything changes for her in ways she never expected. Will she be able to navigate this new world she's thrown into?
Word Count: 3688
Please don't take my work. I'll post warnings for each chapter. Will eventually be 18+!
Warnings: Angst, some Fluff/Comfort, Alcoholism.
----------------------------------------- Chapter 7 - S4E3-E6
(Sep. 20/08 - Oct. 28/08)
Maria stayed out of the next case, knowing that this would be when Castiel would come to Dean in his dreams and then send him back in time to see what happened between his mother and the yellow-eyed demon Azazel.
After which Dean would be confronting Sam about being on demon blood and working with Ruby. Then they’d have a Rurguru case, which was when Sam would choose to stop drinking the demon blood all on his own. She also had no desire to watch Dean flirt shamelessly with the waitress when they’d deal with the shapeshifter at the Oktoberfest.
She told the boys to be safe and that they could handle it, but if they needed anything, she and Bobby were there and only a phone call away. After the boys left, Maria filled Bobby in, swearing him to secrecy because, in her words, “This needed to happen a specific way.” Bobby wasn’t happy about it, but he agreed.
“Kid, they should know more than what you’ve told ‘em,” Bobby sighed after she explained some things.
“I can’t risk changing too much, though. I know they both miss her, and I don’t know another way to bring her back,” Maria practically mumbled.
“But do they really need to go through all that crap?” he asked, not completely sure how it all fit together.
She sighed, staring at the coffee table, “Over the time that passes, the two of them learn things on their own and it helps their bond eventually get stronger. Those two would do anything for each other. Even Cas ends up being family, but he does some stupid shit too.”
Bobby sipped his whiskey as he eyed Maria momentarily, concern etched into the lines of his weathered face, “How are you holding up?”
She shifted in her seat, her gaze flickering to the floor before meeting Bobby’s eyes, “Honestly, it’s both weird and cool, being here. I fell in love with all of the show's characters. It’s why I wrote fanfic. I just never thought I’d actually end up here,” she chuckled dryly, a hint of vulnerability in her voice.
He leaned back in his chair, studying her with a mix of sympathy and understanding, “Just know, I still see you like my daughter. You can talk to me about anything,” he tried to reassure her.
“I know, and I appreciate it. I just don’t know how to act around the boys sometimes,” Maria sighed.
Bobby chuckled, “Well, the you from here has had a crush on Dean since she was about thirteen. Swore me to secrecy back then. I’m gonna guess you probably have more than a crush.”
Her cheeks warmed as a deep blush appeared, and she was thankful neither of the brothers was there, “Yeah, that would go over really well. The girl from another dimension is in love with what used to be a fictional character in her world,” she said fairly sarcastically, then sighed and looked back down at the table. “He’d laugh at me.”
Bobby sighed, not quite sure how to say what he was thinking about, “You could always just be blunt about it. Don’t live with regrets, kid.”
She knew exactly what he meant. Bobby had regrets, most of them having to do with his deceased wife and choosing never to have kids himself. He’d broken her heart and then had to kill her three days later due to her getting possessed by a demon. She debated telling him he should get an anti-possession tattoo, but that would have changed far too much.
“Dean isn’t the kind to settle down, Bobby. He likes his “freedom”,” she replied, rolling her eyes and putting the word freedom in air quotes.
He eyed you for a minute before he continued, “He may be an idjit, but he has a good heart. I think he might surprise you if you were honest with him.” After sipping his whiskey, he realized something, “Is that why you didn’t go with them?”
She shifted in her seat uncomfortably, avoiding eye contact with him, “You try to watch someone you love flirt with every girl but you. Can we talk about something else, please?”
Bobby sighed, deciding he’d try to figure out a way to help her, but kept that to himself for now. “Then, while you’re here and not on a case with those two, you’ll train. That way, I don’t have to worry ‘bout you so much when you do go out with them.”
“Thanks,” she replied, giving him a thankful smile.
During that month, she spent a lot of time practicing movements, using her Touched abilities to get the hang of them better. It was the training she needed to reacquaint herself with what the character from her fanfic had been doing since her powers manifested. One thing she was having the hardest time with was feeling so alone.
She was a fangirl and had been for over a year, and now she was in her favorite show with a fictional character she’d gone and fallen in love with. She also figured this entire situation had to be weird for all three of them.
When she slept, memories of “her past here” played through her mind, and she began missing the man who was her father here. She also got memories of the times she had hung out with the brothers, Bobby, and even with John.
Bobby made sure to reacquaint her with how to shoot a gun. Her body knew what it was doing, but she had to grasp the feeling of it when she pulled the trigger. Each gun felt different. She didn’t want to be afraid of them, so she managed to stay serious while Bobby taught her.
Castiel couldn’t infiltrate Maria’s dreams due to her being a Touched and having the protection of Bastet by a birthmark or, more, a brand of a small, one-inch black cat mark on the back of her left shoulder. Most monsters couldn’t use their energy powers on her due to that. It did depend on how powerful they were. Of course, she wasn’t invulnerable.
When Dean got Ghost Sickness, Sam called Bobby in for some help, so Maria tagged along. She stayed in the motel room with Dean while Bobby went to help Sam. Dean didn’t have long left, a couple of hours if he was lucky, and the hallucinations were bad at this point. Maria did her best to keep him distracted but couldn’t when the sheriff showed up, worse off than Dean was.
Maria’s blood could only heal so much, and this was not one of those things. Even though she tried, cutting her finger and dripping blood into Dean’s wound that he had scratched into his arm, sadly, it had no effect. All she could do was hold him as he held his chest, gripping where his heart was. She knew he wasn’t meant to die here, but being a part of this was hard for her, far harder than watching it on the show.
“Bobby and Sam will fix this, I promise,” she tried to tell him, even if he was in too much pain to hear her.
Then, out of the blue, he was fine, and Maria let out a sigh of relief. The blood she had dripped into his wound now healed his injuries fairly quickly. Dean looked up at her, slightly confused as to why she was holding him. He got to his feet and then helped Maria to hers.
“Thanks for trying at least,” he told her with that smile smirk of his.
“What kind of friend would I be if I didn’t at least try?” she replied, smiling more with one side of her lips than the other, not quite a smirk though.
This was the first time the two of them had been alone since she had arrived in their world. Dean was relaxed as he headed over to the fridge, grabbing himself a beer and chuckling slightly. Maria, on the other hand, felt nervous and anxious around him. Keeping her composure took quite a lot, but Dean noticed the smile she couldn’t completely hide, as well as the emotions in her eyes.
“Well, I appreciate it,” he finally told her before he took a drink.
She fidgeted with the hem of her shirt as she went over and sat on the edge of the bed. Her nerves felt as though they were on edge. Maria knew there was more to Dean than just his outer appearance. But dear God, that outer appearance was something she’d fantasized over on numerous occasions.
He was the epitome of rugged charm. With broad shoulders and a sturdy build, he exuded an aura of strength and confidence that drew people in effortlessly. Along his chiseled jawline was two-day-old scruff since he hadn’t bothered to shave, accentuating his rugged good looks. Then, there were his piercing green eyes. They held a hint of mischief, always ready with a smirk or a cocky grin that sent hearts racing.
Dean had the most expressive eyebrows that could convey a range of emotions, from determination to vulnerability. He moved with a relaxed, self-assured swagger, every step exuding a magnetic charisma that made it impossible not to be captivated by. From his leather jacket from his father to the worn-out boots, he was the embodiment of any girl's wet dream.
“Want a beer, Sweetheart,” he asked, that damned smirk plastered on his lips again.
“I’d say sure, but beer doesn’t do anything. It’d kinda be a waste to drink it,” she chuckled, hoping he hadn’t noticed the blush that had crept into her cheeks. She also hoped he hadn’t caught her staring at him, again.
He chuckled, “I’d offer you whiskey, but I don’t have any here. We can get some at the store down the block if you want.”
She tilted her head slightly, wondering if he had something else on his mind, but was too nervous to ask at the moment. “It’s okay. I’m pretty sure Bobby and Sam will be back soon.”
Dean leaned against the counter, sipping his beer, occasionally looking over at her, but hadn’t said anything. She could tell he was in his head, lost in his thoughts while still paying attention to everything. It was moments like this that his personality captivated her. He had the kindest heart and the sharpest tongue that cut with a pain that was capable of pushing someone away forever. Just as their eyes locked, Sam walked through the motel room door.
“You two okay?” he asked, concerned for his brother still.
“Yup. Hunky-dory,” Dean replied, sporting that playful smirk of his again.
Then, the three of them drove back out to the factory. Maria had been lost in her thoughts on the drive. Dean kept glancing at her in the rearview mirror, which his brother did notice, but neither of them said anything to her. They met back up with Bobby, and after Dean parked, he pulled four beers out of the green cooler, but Bobby declined. Maria leaned on the trunk of the Impala, thinking about the events that were about to play out soon when Sam pulled her from her thoughts.
“So, Maria, you comin' with us, or heading back with Bobby?” Sam asked, glancing over at her.
“I could do either, but it’d probably be more fun going with the two of you,” she chuckled playfully.
Dean raised an eyebrow, as did Bobby, “Bobby can’t be that boring,” Dean stated, that smile smirk on his face again, which made Maria roll her eyes, but in a playful way.
“Well, if I’m gonna be here, in this world, I might as well get to hunting,” she told him.
The week she’d spent at Bobby’s while Dean and Sam were working out their issues, she had begun practicing with her abilities, feeling how her body had moved. It was almost muscle memory for her, which she found only slightly odd.
She had also been having more dreams that consisted of memories of her life in this world, things that her character may have dreamt about in her fanfic. Maria was done questioning going back or even attempting to find a way back.
She’d already decided she was going to stay, and no one was going to change her mind on the matter. This whole thing reminded her of a few different anime shows she had watched where a player got sucked into the game they had been playing.
Maria’s words made Dean chuckle, “Alright, Sweetheart, but you’re in the back seat.”
She rolled her eyes before grabbing her bag from Bobby’s back seat and putting it in the Impala’s trunk. Then she hugged Bobby, promising to check in with him while she was out with the boys. Maria had gotten better about Dean’s scent not affecting her as badly as it had in the beginning.
Her main reason for going with them was because she wanted to see the angels, knowing they were going to show up. She’d already told Bobby about the seals that were being broken, telling him what books were going to be the most helpful. Maria had also gotten more confident over that week, smiling as she walked over to Dean and Sam.
“Ready when you two are,” she told them with a smile before climbing in the back seat of the Impala, getting comfortable in the middle.
Dean, Sam, and Bobby looked at each other, all exchanging looks while signing to each other.
Bobby: Keep an eye on her. I don’t know if she’s really ready for this yet.
Sam: We will, and we know. She seems eager, though.
Bobby: She’s been training the whole time the two of you were gone.
Dean: Really?
Bobby: Yeah, really. Just watch her. I worry.
Dean: She’s family Bobby, and our old Maria was a damn good hunter. We’ll keep an eye on her, we promise.
Sam: Yeah, Bobby, we promise.
They said their farewells before Bobby got in his car and drove off. Sam and Dean exchanged another look before they got in the Impala. She knew they had just over a week before Sam would find the next case. This was one of those timeframes the show hadn’t added for the fans to watch. She was curious as to what the two would end up doing.
She stared out the window at first, just watching the scenery pass by while Dean drove. Her mind wandered again, thinking about the future events and how pissed he was going to end up being with her.
“So, since you know the future, Sweetheart, what’s our next case?” Dean teased her playfully, glancing at her in the rearview mirror.
Maria rolled her eyes, “You’ve got roughly ten days before the next one comes up.”
“Didn’t answer my question,” he sighed.
She clenched her jaw, still looking out the window, “It’s in Red Wing, Minnesota, okay? But nothing is gonna show up for a case till around the twenty-ninth.”
Sometimes, she hated her memory. She’d done so much research in her world on locations that weren’t easily found when it came to towns that weren’t listed on regular fan sites. This had been one of those that took far more research than she was willing to admit, putting together bits and pieces of information and asking numerous other fans on several chat sites.
“See, that wasn’t so hard, was it?” Dean smirked, feeling accomplished that he got something out of her.
“So, what are we gonna do for just over a week?” Sam thought out loud.
They normally didn’t have time to themselves, and now they knew they had a week off of hunting monsters or dealing with a case. Maria was pretty sure what Dean would want to do, and she didn’t want to think about it.
“Well, I say we go find a nice small town near there, get a couple motel rooms, and relax,” Dean said happily.
As long as my room is on the other side of the building entirely, Maria thought to herself.
“Sure. It’s been a long while since we’ve had time to relax and do nothing,” Sam chuckled, looking forward to it now, too.
The drive wasn’t horribly long, just under half a day, but they got in sometime near three in the morning. When the brothers went in to get a couple of rooms, she followed them after grabbing her bag. Dean wanted her room next to theirs, but she asked for one as far away from theirs as possible, making sure it had two beds. She had a feeling Sam wasn’t going to want to spend much time in the room with Dean or would end up getting kicked out due to Dean needing some private time.
“What was that all about, Sweetheart?” Dean asked, trying to catch up with her, “Don’t want to share a room with me now?”
She rolled her eyes, “I know what “relaxing” means to you, and I’d prefer not to hear it.”
He smirked, which Sam saw, and he shook his head, knowing his brother was an idiot, having no clue why she really didn’t want to be near his room.
“Oh, and Sam, you’re welcome to bunk in my room, when Dean picks brings a chick back,” she added, making her way to her room on the far side of the motel building.
“Thanks,” Sam chuckled as he and Dean headed to their room.
Maria locked her door behind her before tossing her bag on the bed, grabbing some fresh clothes, and taking a shower. It wasn’t the best water pressure, but it did the job. She threw her hair up in a ponytail and went to the closest corner store, purchasing five bottles of whiskey. Her excuse to the cashier was that she was hosting a party, which he bought.
She hadn’t planned on drinking that night. She just wanted it on hand for the next day. So, when she got back, she tucked it away and out of sight, then crawled into bed. Her dreams were again of memories of this world and her character's past, things she’d never added to her fanfic.
It was a long week for her, and she mostly hid from Dean more than anything. Sam spent several nights out of the week in her room on the other bed, as Dean had done exactly what she knew he would.
“How long are you gonna not tell him how you feel?” Sam asked on the next to last day.
“He’d laugh at me, Sam. I mean, seriously. A girl from a world where he’s just a fictional character, and my dumb ass had to go and fall in love with him,” she retorted with a humorless chuckle.
“He might take it as a compliment?” he replied, raising an eyebrow
“He’s also not the settling down type. He likes his freedom. Then there's the way he always worries about losing those he cares about most. That somehow being close to him puts them in danger,” she sighed, then groaned, “He’s so stupid in that though. Any person he’s helped is in danger if a monster wanted to get to him.”
“Looks like you know him pretty well,” Sam chuckled, realizing that just because she looked like “their” Maria, she was very different, in all the best ways.
She rubbed her face with her hands, mildly frustrated, “He’d think it was creepy. I could probably tell him what he was thinking most of the time.”
“Not sure I’d want to know what he was thinking most of the time,” he laughed.
“Sometimes I wish I didn’t know,” she sighed.
The alcohol was long gone at this point, and she knew they’d be heading out the following day for the next case. She again offered the other bed to Sam for the night in case Dean picked up yet another girl at the bar he’d been spending far too much time in, at least in her opinion. He did take her up on that offer when he saw Dean’s car gone, yet again, around dinner time.
Maria and Sam had pizza for dinner while watching a movie when they heard the Impala pull up at the motel. She didn’t even need to look out the window to know he had another girl with him. She could hear the woman giggling after the car doors closed.
“You’re only torturing yourself,” Sam sighed, hating seeing her sad like she was now.
“Not like I can just turn off my hearing,” she grumbled, turning up the TV.
She barely slept that night, unable to get him out of her head, so the following day, she looked as tired as she felt when she and Sam joined Dean at the Impala. Dean just watched her, attempting to read her expression, body language, and what she wasn’t saying.
“Never saw you at the bar. You into Sam now?” Dean asked, leaning against the driver’s door.
“He’s like a brother to me, and I’m not into family like that,” she snapped, not looking at him.
“Geeze, Sweetheart. Sounds like you just need to get laid,” he teased.
“Dude? Seriously?” Sam questioned him from the opposite side of the car.
“What?” he asked, acting innocent before sliding into the driver’s seat.
Maria ignored him on the drive, sitting behind Sam and keeping her gaze out the window. She was still fighting with herself on how to handle future events and deal with the man she loved, having no clue how she felt toward him. Knowing him the way she did, she knew how he was going to react to numerous things, especially since if she shared the information, he’d stop it. Her only thought was that she wanted the brothers to have their mom in their life again, and one family dinner that they never got. The one day where their dad got pulled from the past, but that was a great many years from now.

spn aus you say..... (please tell everything I am begging)
GIGGLING LIKE AN IDIOT!!!!! OKAY!!!!! warning this is a really long post kgjhjkgrjkd.
i've got 11 so far, but two of em (rvbnatural and spidernatural) barely have anything. rvbnatural is spn guys in the red vs. blue universe with dean, sam, and my oc jaime being a part of a special elite military project, similar to project freelancer in rvb. it's in the 2550s so it's set in same time frame as the halo games do. spidernatural is the spn guys in some sort of spiderverse, idk if it's like itsv/atsv or what, but it WAS inspired by atsv coming out. azazel is a spider demon guy wanting to take over the world with spider demon kids. he gives baby sam some spider demon blood and then little dean comes in and tries to protect him and he ends up bitten. both of them end up with spider powers and are spider-men.
but then i've got more in-depth aus! my most recent one is a modern au where jaime's family and dean's were next door neighbors for about their whole lives. jaime had to witness john abusing and neglecting his kids, and eventually he just decided he wasn't fucking having it anymore. he tricks john into coming into the woods and beats him to death with his baseball bat. garth is there and he helps bury the body.
john's sudden disappearance gets chalked up to be him going missing, sam and dean (and maybe adam, idk if he's gonna be here yet or not) go to live with bobby, and jaime thinks his problems are over. he and garth never speak of it again.
UNTIL several years later when some kids were digging around in the woods and they dug up john's body. it was obvious that john was murdered, his case is reopened. jaime becomes the main suspect. cas is going to be his defense lawyer.
there's my farmer au. sam and dean were born and raised on the winchester farm, being basically the only ones who worked there outside of their father. sam eventually goes to college, and john has to hire a farmhand. dunno who it is yet, but a few years later, that farmhand quit right before harvest time, so now it's just him and dean. he orders dean to make ads and put them up so that they can get a new farmhand.
enter jaime, who has just moved to their area of texas. he's never been living out of his guardians' house and though he thought moving across the state to be on his own was a good idea, he's sort of scrambling because he didn't have a real plan. he sees the ad and though he's never done farm work before, he has done manual labor and he figures he can pick up on this stuff fairly well.
plus, in exchange for working, he also gets to live in the farmhouse on the property, and he doesn't have to pay for food or rent (though he DOES get less pay due to this). he figures this is a pretty good deal, and ends up going to apply for the job. he gets it, despite the fact john doesn't like that he's kind of scrawny. (he reflects that dean's always been on the leaner side and he gets the job done "okay", and this is also the best he's got, so he has to go with it).
jaime and dean quickly become best friends--they're working together side-by-side almost all day, almost every day. come harvest time, dean and jaime are tasked with selling their crop at the farmer's market.
enter cas, the youngest of a wealthy family who has always been big buyers in the winchester crop. cas and dean have had fleeting encounters and both have a crush on each other tbh. jaime sees cas for the first time when cas comes to their stall on his first day at the farmer's market and definitely understands where dean was coming from.
next i've got my modern au that's got dean as a famous music artist. tbh i don't have so much for this one, but basically, dean is a music artist and he's been hitting a writer's block (or whatever you call it for songwriting) but something makes him remember his high school best friends/crushes (jaime and cas) and he ends up writing a song about them. and he doesn't use any pronouns in the song referring to them, and TECHNICALLY both "jaime" and "cas" can be considered gender neutral, so while the song is a huge hit once he releases it, there's also lots of discussion/controversy about it because "okay so are these two people girls or guys??? or one's a girl and one's a guy???" but it's funny because it's none of the above, jaime and cas are both non-binary. but anyways both jaime and cas end up hearing it on the radio and they're both like "oh my fuck he remembers me…"
and they've been living their separate lives far away from each other for many years but now they all begin reminiscing their high school "friendship" (they were all extremely gay for each other) and debate whether to try contacting each other again. i mean, dean wrote a song about them and it became a big hit and is currently being played all across the country right now. it would kinda make sense to do so. and they're all kinda missing each other, which they dismiss as nostalgia but it's really a lot more than that.
so jaime and cas find each other and then decide to attend to dean's next concert, bc he's on tour rn. they somehow get dean to notice them in the crowd (jaime's gonna do smth stupid prolly) and dean sees them and is SO HAPPY and he puts his whole pussy into that concert. and then they reunite and are all super happy to see each other again. and they can't just ignore dean's confession in the song.... they all end up getting together again, it's good.
next my merfolk au!!! MY FAVORITE HEHEHE!!! jaime and cas are two merpeople who live on the coast, next to an older fisherman's cabin owned by bobby. i'm not sure if in this au, merpeople are social beings in the way they live in pods or not, but either way, cas and jaime are rejected by basically anyone (cas is too weird, jaime is too aggressive (protective of cas!!!)) other than gabriel, who is cas' guardian, and then jaime's once he comes around (jaime's parents died, jaime ran (swam) away from the rest of his family and got lost, then found by cas).
dean has been visiting bobby's place since he was a little kid, and the first time jaime and cas saw him, they were instantly fascinated. they'd never seen a human their age before. jaime wanted to introduce themselves to dean but cas was shy and not ready so jaime was cool with that. they stuck to hanging out with bobby when sam and dean weren't there.
fast forward 15-20 some years. jaime gets captured by fishermen and sold to a freak show. cas comes up on land disguised as a human and begs dean for help (bobby's in town rn). it takes a while but with sam's help they're able to locate and rescue jaime. by this time, dean knows about cas and jaime being merpeople, and he's definitely awestruck by them when he sees them both in trueform. and they're both fascinated by him, which he finds embarrassing, because he doesn't believe beings so magnificent should find him, a measly human, fascinating.
then there's my dystopian/post-apocalypse au!!! cas lives in a glass-encased bunker that's been the "one safe place" since earth's nuclear fallout nearly 100 years before. dean and jaime are two people living outside the bunker, otherwise known as purgatory. jaime and dean have been best friends their whole lives and have gone through literally everything together--losing their parents, raising their little siblings (in jaime's case, cousin, but jackie has always been more like a sister to jaime rather than a cousin).
jaime, dean, sam, and jackie all go out searching for the bunker, wanting to see the real thing. they've heard stories about it, and the oldest people they've met remember being rejected from entering the bunker during the fallout due to the bunker being "too full". it takes years, but they do find it. cas sees them, and cas, who has been obsessed with learning all he can about purgatory for basically his whole life, is bursting with excitement about finding people on the outside.
chuck, cas' dad and the president of all the people in the bunker, is just SO MAD that his son found the outsiders before his people did. because see, ever since the higher-ups of the bunker realized there was still people surviving outside, they began to capture them, bring them secretly to secret labs, and basically experiment on them to find out how they can survive outside the bunker until they die. chuck did not stop this tradition when he became president and found out about all this.
so basically, chuck tries to find an excuse to get these four outsiders to "disappear" so that he can get them to his private labs to experiment on. there's a problem, because cas is attached to them, to two in particular really. and cas doesn't know about what chuck's doing--if he did, he wouldn't stand for it. so chuck has to try to do all he wants while keeping it hidden from cas. it doesn't end up working btw.
i've got my hunter!jaime au, which is basically what jaime's life would've been like if he'd grown up knowing about the supernatural. there is SO MUCH i have for it, i cannot put it all here, but i CAN make separate posts about it if you want me to!!!
i've got two soulmate aus--a soulmate tattoo au and a soulmate journal au. in the soulmate tat one, it's a lot like your usual au with this trope--you've got your soulmate's name tattooed to you somewhere. but sometimes, people are born with more than one name on them, or none at all, and those with more than one are mostly shunned by society, while those with none are pitied. jaime, cas, and dean all have two, ofc, and grow up with different reactions to it--jaime gets it an accepting family, though they're a little misguided in their support ("he's confused, but he's got the spirit" sort of deal). cas' is an outcast at school for it, and half his brothers despise him for it while the other half do their best to make sure he knows he's not alone. then dean gets the shittiest bit, with his godawful father hating him and definitely mistreating him for this. i'm using this au to be a thing in support of polyamorous and ace individuals, and i just hope i can do good with my representation.
then with the soulmate journal au, every baby has a journal pop up when they're born that they can use to communicate with their soulmate/s. jaime and cas talk with each other for several years and think only they are each other's soulmates, but dean is also their soulmate--john just confiscated his journal after mary died and never let him get a hold of it. however, jaime and cas fill up their initial journal and another one appears for each of them, and that ALSO makes another one appear to dean. he gets to write to his soulmates for the first time and it's a big whirlwind for him bc woah, finally, he gets to talk to them!!! but then again, the only examples of soulmates he's seen is his dad and the awful way he handled mary's death, so dean's not the fondest of the idea. he has to keep his journal hidden so no one ever finds it and takes away what becomes one of the only highlights in his life.
finally, my last one!!! this is just a regular modern au. jaime moves into a new town and tries to fit in. he gets a job at cas' bakery, and he meets dean at the mechanics shop, and they all fall in love :] it's very nice and sweet.
I'M SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG!!! this was a lot to type out 😭😭😭

Sioux Falls High School
Sam and Ellie's junior year of high school
"You know there are rumors about Ellie going around. About how she is not only easy on the eyes. I mean if the girl wasn’t on the rag I would have had my time with her."
Sam Winchester's jaw flexed in anger, as he pulled his backpack out of his gym locker, some of the football players were talking about Ellie Scott, the girl that should be considered his sister, she was the daughter of his mother's best friend, and also in the care of Bobby Singer, who knew not only his father but Ellie's as well.
They were being raised to be family, they certainly fought like siblings, mostly after Dean stopped by for a visit when John wasn't keeping him busy on hunts.
And Dean spent more time with Ellie than him or vice versa, they fought constantly about it.
Both thought they were entitled to the time with him.
Him more than her because they were actually blood-related, and Ellie thought she was entitled to it because she knew that she was going to be Dean’s at the end of the day.
But maybe it was jealousy, but he couldn't understand why he was so jealous about it.
Was it the way Dean's face lit up when he saw Ellie coming down the stairs or climbing out of the car when he beat them home?
Or was it the quiet sighs, moans, grunts, and groans coming from behind Ellie’s closed bedroom door?
Maybe it was because he wished that he was the one that he was with her, having sex with her, sleeping in the same bed with her. And he knew that he shouldn't feel that way because of her being a family friend.
A girl that he was meant to see as a sister.
And who even said that she thought of him like that too?
"Dude, Sam, you got to tell us, what is the deal between you and Ellie?" One of the guys, Tim, asked, he had been one of the few boys brave enough to ask her out asked. "Nothing, she is just a family friend." He returned, 'Her mom was best friends with mine." Tim glanced at the other two boys and smirked "I mean if I grew up with a girl like that, I would take full advantage of it."
An unfamiliar course of anger went through him, he was used to Dean being the one that would get pissed on Ellie's behalf, but never him. "Don't talk about her like that man." He warned, "She is a sweet girl."
"Yeah, a sweet easy girl.'
"How would you know? From what I heard, she wouldn't let you go all the way?" Sam smirked, he had been the one that had been home when Ellie came storming into the house from her date with Tim, angry. More angry he had ever seen her and that was including when her maternal grandparents dumped her off at Bobby’s house without so much of a goodbye.
And he had heard all about it. “Ha, you have no idea what you are talking about.” Tim laughed nervously. “I don’t? Who do you think she talked to when you dropped her off? Me.” He returned as he hoisted his backpack up on his shoulder. “SAMMY!” Her voice called from the entranceway for the men’s locker room, “C’mon! Bobby is gonna be pissed if we are late, again.” The taller Winchester brother smirked and jerked the bag up one more time, “Coming Elle.”
“Not worth it Tim.” One of the boys said clapping his hand on Tim’s shoulder, ‘I have heard stories about what Sam’s brother Dean,” His older brother went to school with the older Winchester brother before he dropped out of school, “You think Sam’s reaction was bad, Dean’s would have been worst. I am surprised that she even agreed to go out with you in the first place. My brother.” The boy paused when they all heard Ellie’s laughter coming from the entranceway, followed by a “Sam! Put me down!”, “Went to school with Dean, there are two things in the world that he loves more than his car, and that’s his brother and Ellie.”
Tim coughed trying to get rid of the sudden lump of fear that formed in his throat, “Ain’t scared of no one.”
**
“You okay Sam?” Ellie Scott questioned as he pulled open the truck door for her. “Fine.” “Don’t bullshit a bullshitter, what’s wrong?” He huffed as she climbed into the cab and settled into the middle of the bench seat. Her normal spot. “Nothin’,” “Let me guess then.’ She tapped her finger against her chin, “Tim said something about me being easy.’ His hand froze, keys halfway to the ignition. “Yeah, some of the girls were repeating them to me. They all seem to think that not only do I sleep with Dean but with you.” Sam covered up his surprise that she knew quickly, “What did you tell them?” “To shove up their scrawny asses. My relationships outside of school is none of their business. And if anyone is easy, it’s Brooke.”
Brooke was one of the girls on the cheer team that hated Ellie and always went out of her way to bully her. Ellie wasn’t like the rest of them, she was an orphan living with a family friend who owned a scrap yard and was known to be the town weirdo. And even the girl herself was weird, carrying a small pocket knife in her back jeans pocket and a flask of holy water. That wasn’t even going into the fact that she spoke Latin. Who knew Latin now a days?
“You know Dean.’ Sam started, glancing at her. “And Brooke, yeah.” She reached her fingers up and played with the end of her braid, “That’s why Dean hasn’t been back yet, and the verbal spat, I was just in.” “Why didn’t you start with that?” She shrugged her shoulders, “Already have Dean fighting my battles for me and I know you, Sammy, you would have jumped right in with it.” He went to volunteer that he wouldn’t have been but she was right, he would have rushed to her defense like he promised Dean he would. “Honestly, they are just words. They don’t know the truth and I am okay with that.”
