Legend says that for a brief period of time, Penny had a TV at the Hard Deck.
She installed it because Sarah suggested it as Admiral Tom Kazansky was going to appear at Congress and they were going to televise the intervention.
It was very convenient because Mav was gone with Ice and the Dagger Squad was left behind sad. They were hoping to support his new dad, but the Navy need them in Miramar. And, somehow, Warlock convinced Cyclone to give them some time off to follow Icemans intervention.
So, the Dagger Squad found themselves w Solomon and Beau (bc they were out in the wild and not at work) watching how the congress “worked” and admiring the pose and grace of their Admiral.
Until...
Well, it wasn't exactly Bradley's fault, and neither was Jake’s. But one thing led to another and there was some competition involved and some backhanded comments about some members of Congress and...
They took a shot every time that:
Any member of congress asked a stupid question
Iceman made any person rethink what they were going to say with just a glare
Make someone stutter, etc
There were more rules but thirty minutes in they had to amend the list as they were getting too wasted and Cyclone was threatening to fight personally anyone who dared to disrespect his Admiral.
By the time the intervention finished, Penny had cut them the alcohol and she was threatening to ban the entrance to her local. Cyclone had to take care of the bill. Warlock tried to charm Penny to get them of the hook and the daggers...
They never had a clear idea of how they managed to get back to their accommodations. But Amelia got richer that day, taking advantage of her new driver's licence and Bradley’s Bronco to drive off the affected aviators.
The TV disappeared after that and nobody questioned it.

what if there was a shot of slider looking at mav at ices funeral that lingered a little too long and after mav learns he's no longer teaching the daggers he goes to ices grave to tell him but he can't get it out he just falls to his knees at ices headstone and slider comes up behind him and he puts his hand on mavs shoulder before mav stands up and slider pulls him in for a hug and puts his hand on the back of mavs head pulling him in as close as he can and mav tells slider he can't do this without ice he's never going to fly again and slider tells him thats bullshit mav is the one to decide when he's done not him not ice not cyclone not anyone and he's the only way these kids are gonna survive the mission

I still think the DLCs should have focused on the 3 main characters from the main game and not introduced any new characters unless they're supporting characters
Frickin' . . . Ogerpon's story is custom-made for them to all relate to. And the theme with masks and such . . . look at them. Look, here's Penny, literally hides behind the persona Cassiopea, Arven who puts up a prickly tsundere front, autistic Nemona doing the thing that is literally called masking,
Every single one of them understanding being an 'outsider' and a 'weirdo' in their own particular way, and you're trying to tell me the DLC wasn't for them?

this is a bit of an ask inspired by another ask (and also ridiculously silly) but what’s the boys’ relationship with penny like in the future?? i loved the little snippet of her at bradley’s wedding and ice trying to figure out if she’s a threat or not (and then maverick coming back from dancing and saying he couldn’t stop gushing over ice….ugh!!!) but do they become good solid friends? I like the idea of them expanding their circle now that they can trust more people…even if one of those people are one of maverick’s exes
additionally: do her and ice ever talk about their shared experiences (not sex, ice would probably keel over and die, but just…having a relationship with mav)? the thought of penny cornering him is ridiculously funny to me. or maybe they never reach that point of comfort 🤷♀️ i just need to know if she ever takes them both sailing and ice gets a chance to laugh at mav on a boat
[also, in all sincerity, I have an unhealthy amount of things to say about this series and I’m a bit sad it’s over, but I love everything you’ve done <3 I could compliment it for days on end and probably never run out of things to say]
ice to Penny at mav’s birthday party sometime over the last five years: Hey! Good to see you again :) thanks for coming …
Penny, apropos of nothing: so.,. weve never talked one-on-one… but. You and i have both been inside Pete Mitchell at some point ?

I feel like SV girlies haven't seriously considered "codependent mutually obsessive JuliNemo" yet and that's a shame, really. I've seen a lot of wholesome ChampionRank (really cute but a rehash of every wholesome yuri I've ever seen, not much original content here and that's okay) and one-sided obsessive yandere!Nemona ChampionRank (REALLY do not like the villainization of Nemona's neurodivergence but eh, you can do whatever you want forever) but not as much "these two get on like a house on fire. and boy, it's dry season" ChampionRank.
Where is "battle-hungry socially starved trainwrecks who have no one but each other" JuliNemo. Where is "oh god these two exacerbate each others issues into the stratosphere and this can only end in disaster but I can't look away" JuliNemo. Where is "bringing out the worst in each other and scaring the hoes" JuliNemo. Where is "you two are perfect for each other. Never change, just never involve anyone else in any of this" JuliNemo. There's so much potential here. Toxic codependent yuri save me

open to: anyone!
verse: fantasy/period
plot: the princess (or governor's daughter) has made a happen of sneaking out at night to the village below. tonight, she tries out the tavern. that's it, that's the plot.
"well...this is definitely not champagne," she mutters, her face twisting in disgust. "and people come here to drink this...willingly?" the young woman stares at the dark brown ale in her cup in confusion.

So I just made a terrible discovery 🙂 you know how the gist of Death Magic in particular is "take something away (usually the self) to give something back (usually for others). we'll have you ever considered:
Malorn Ashthorn: sacrifices his emotional/mental health to give to and nurture others (Ghoul, Vampire, Wraith, Sacrifice, etc.)*
Malistaire, Morganthe, and Duncan Grimwater: sacrifices their emotional/mental health to harm/hinder others (Feint, Doom and Gloom, etc.)
*(i know 3 out of 4 of the spells listed harm the enemy rather than the self, but it still kinda works trust me bro)
