idk how I didn’t think of this sooner, but play fights with the other melusines!

They come at legacy with a buncha things that won’t even scratch his armor but he plays along, faking noises of pain and defeat as we’re snickering in the back.

If we join in the fun or defend our moth is up to you >:3

all the Melusine have to keep their fighting skills up to check!!

you're actually the one who initiates such activities- unintentionally, however- idly practicing your weapon stances with a stick against Foul Legacy's leg. he taught you them for self-defense, as only the Abyss knows the names of everyone who wants to harm you- one day he'll get a small sword made specifically for you. for now you just smack his armor with your stick, form almost perfect as he watches and purrs approvingly. a pair of eyes peeks around the corner, a sibling's antennae twitching curiously for a moment before they suddenly charge at your monstrous friend, a stick of their own held high above their head! they whack his knees fiercely- well, somewhat fiercely. they know you're just training. right on cue Foul Legacy yelps in mock-pain, claws clutching the spot they hit with an affronted gasp. you and your sibling cheer, and Legacy has to suppress a happy rumble

it becomes an ordinary occurrence, for him to be suddenly swarmed by little Melusine holding sticks and coral branches, a flower or two, Mamere with her paintbrush. more often than not you're somewhere in the crowd, your own stick dusted with gold pigment as you practice the sword forms he taught you and that you in turn taught a few of your siblings. Legacy lets out some playfully pained noises, dropping to his knees and pressing a hand to his forehead in defeat as the Melusine all clap and congratulate each other for felling an Abyssal beast. you crawl into Legacy's arms once they're all gone, looking up at him cheerfully, and he grumbles in contentment, brushing off the dusty marks left behind on his armor and lightly bonking his forehead against yours with a toothy, fanged grin

- Sorry to the non-shippers out there ^^; You can skip this one!

Had this laying around finished for a fat minute.

I planned to post it with a sequel to the "No One Ever" fic, but sometimes motivation and willpower konks out for a few months and you just have to succumb to the dark side :D I do plan on writing again sometime! It would actually provide the full context since this scene is based on my idea for it.

Figured I'd just post this now; my art style changes so often :')
