I think cause I’m so stressed w school but still want to post I’m finally gonna focus on all the reqs in my inbox instead of my own brain thinking of fic ideas cause it’s so fried rn lol (watch me not follow through w this later on 🧍‍♀️) also just let me ramble for a bit this isn’t rly important but it’s just my thoughts as an author here on the blr.
(long rly pointless ramble abt requests and inboxes and blogs and writing etc etc under the cut if my thoughts don’t make sense at all it’s cause it’s 2 am shush)
like I love requests so much I love sharing brainrot and being able to write a fic for someone and making them happy w my writing it’s the whole reason I started writing in the first place. but I just love my own brain and the fics that I come up with on my own as well and I think it’s rly important for writers to consistently write things that their own brain thought of and write them just because they want to. I’ve seen writers put sm pressure on themselves to complete requests and I totally understand that but I kinda hate how they even feel that pressure in the first place bcuz it takes away the joy of writing and you find yourself unable to even think of what to write anymore cause it’s become associated with the stress of “getting it done” like some sort of school assignment. requests can be such a blessing and a way to connect a fandom more and build a community and even a little family within a blog but it can also be so stressful. feeling bad that you’ve taken too long to finish a request, having anons harass you in your inbox for not writing their request “quickly enough”, and the general entitlement ppl have adopted when they’re literally asking— ASKING someone else to do something FOR THEM. I don’t experience this too often and I don’t want any of the people who have sent me requests to feel bad for sending them in, trust me I LOVE the requests. but I do wonder sometimes if ppl on my blog wonder why I take so long to finish requests and why I never close them either lmao. cause it is quite different from all my moots’ blogs and majority of blogs on tumblr that I’ve seen… and I just think I always want to have that option for readers to spill their thoughts into a request without the pressure or expectation that it’s going to be answered quickly. closing and opening inboxes is an amazing way to work through requests systematically and consistently while also not getting bogged down by too many. and I think readers probably like that system(?) cause it’s a higher chance of their request getting done quickly! (and to those readers who send out the same request to a bunch of different authors idk WHY you do this idc if it’s just bcuz you wanted to see how we would all interpret it differently, honestly fuck you. bcuz it just feels so empty and pointless like you don’t actually care abt us as authors and our writing but just want to see how fast an author can get your idea written and posted. it’s like you’re using us as machines and testing who will be the fastest and who will stay on the loading screen the longest. it’s so disappointing tbh. and maybe this is also why i enjoy writing for lesser known groups bcuz when I get a request it’s so precious to me i know that the reader sent it in bcuz they actually like my writing and know I’ll be able to write for a group that they love that not many other ppl write for. despite the fact that I won’t get more than 10-30 notes for a fic from a nugu group doesn’t mean that it is less rewarding.)
but then again I’ve also seen readers ignore the authors rules stating that requests are closed or get mad that they are and it’s just… sigh… we are literally writing for free for your enjoyment, we spend hundreds of hours writing these fics whether they are “good” or “bad” they still take time and effort and love and a whole lot of brainpower and googling of synonyms and staring blankly at the two sentences you’ve written before switching tabs and procrastinating for 2 hours only to come back and finish in one flurry of motivation lmao. but for me having my inbox always open and welcome for requests feels like it’s actively counteracting the expectations for writers to pump out fics like some sort of machine to feed their audience while only getting blank likes as a return (this is truly JUST my thoughts and how I view it I’m not trying to say how I do things is better or how others work their blog is wrong or anything like that. if ur a writer and u rly focus on getting ur requests done lowkey I admire u cause I do still feel some guilt looking at requests I have sitting in my inbox from like last year although I am happy and content w my system and feel that it does put the focus on me and my creativity and less on the pressure to take others ideas and make a fic for them with the side effects of time pressure and guilt for not following through if that makes sense.) all that rambling is to say that now that brain is so focused on tasks that are much more important and I have less time to think of silly little delusions, having these requests sitting in my inbox waiting for me is rly nice :) and I’m rly excited to complete more of them cause most of you have given me rly rly amazing fic ideas <3

Baffled that I actually saw people shitting on TDIM for not having a twist
Like- the way people shit on MoM and LH for having twists but then hate TDIM for.... not having a twist....
and these people got mad at UD before for the whole Josh being the psycho twist and therefore like Ashley and Sam not actually being in danger in those scenes... and then they'll get mad at TDIM for not having a twist and the characters actually being in danger in the traps
Do we want twists or no twists where is the consistency

it wasn't a hate speech, I wrote about it, I'm sorry that something offended you.
ok, I'm bad at writing. try again. short version - why of all social things its a transgender people? you write (I wrote same) you have no self-interest other than equality. You write about Ukraine one time, you write about Israel one time. You know what I mean?
I mean, you like Taylor - you post about Taylor a lot. You post cute gay couple a lot - because you love it. And from social - you post a lot about trans. Only trans you post a lot.. More than about women rights or bisexual people. Why? :-) You are a woman, you are young, you have your own life, friends. Why you dont speak about this.
I'm asking this because I don't know any trans people in real life (like you as I know) other than tiktok, yt. but I know people of all orientations. my governem doesnt have enough money for education and medicine. I mean that everyone simply has problems. but you write about them. I don't have a problem with them, and neither do you.
I just don’t understand why so many posts on tumblr about trans rights, especially from people who are not in the trans community at all. So yeah, the short question - why trans?
(you don't have to reblog at all about anything, but you reglog about trans. and yeah, if its a post about hp you only write on tags jkr on negative part)
hi! sorry it took me a moment to get to this, and sorry that i misunderstood your ask in the first place. it's a valid question, truly, though i'm not sure i alone am able to give you a full answer for it.
there's definitely a number of reasons as to why trans issues seem to be disproportionately represented on my blog and many others, some of those reasons are personal and some of them sociopolitical.
the first and maybe most obvious personal reason is the simple one of queer solidarity. i'm bi, i've dated women, and that makes me part of a larger group that is as diverse and colorful as it is littered with a history of prosecution. trans people are very much a part of that collective, and i want them to feel as supported as they have made me feel when i've met them at gsas and pride events and fandom spaces. while i don't relate to their issues exactly, their overall struggle against the cis heterosexual matrix still connects with me. we're all under one umbrella.
also (and maybe this is where a bit of the sociopolitics comes in) trans people are one of the most immediately and publicly threatened groups within the lgbtq+. while so many other sexualities and identities are obviously affected by current events and politics, the queer hate spread in right-wing politics these days is specifically anti-trans. i'm half american and have grown up in western europe, and the impact of this hate mongering is felt in my own communities. while i know most about us and some uk anti-trans politics, i know the sentiment is more widespread than just those places. it feels like one of the most urgent queer issues right now.
and because i am queer and because i am western, the algorithm and the news and the people i follow on social media are posting about this anti-trans rhetoric. i don't think i ever deliberately seek out trans supportive content, but it's what i see on my feed/dash, so that's what i reblog. if i saw as much disability support or ukraine support, etc., i would reblog that too.
sure, there are things that i don't reblog that i maybe should, but again, i'm not here to be an activist and i don't like reblogging content about issues i'm not fully sure/educated about. the palestine/israel issue, for instance, is so much more complex than 'trans people deserve to exist', so i'm not as comfortable hitting a quick reblog. not because i don't care about it or because it's not on my mind, but because it's not as black and white and i don't feel like a worthy informant. i talk to my friends and my parents about it, but i don't need my incomplete opinions to be posted publicly online.
and i know i keep saying this, but i'll say it again: i am not here to be an activist. there is a definitely a conversation to be had here, and maybe i should be doing more, but i also resent being made to feel like i have to weigh in on every world issue because my silly little blog about queer tv shows and taylor swift has 1k followers. i reblog what resonates with me, i reblog what i understand. i want this blog to be a happy place.

i think karen's first major break through with her trauma came with when frank ruined his own case and got sent to prison. in 2.09 she says that the solving of the case - not the winning of it, finding the truth - was, at first, about saving nelson and murdock. i think when elison pushed her to continue doing what she was passionate about despite the demise of nelson and murdock was when she started healing because when she was back home, despite wanting to go to school and major in literature she could never leave. sure, her father was more than enthusiastic for her to go to college but in reality, he had a huge ego and thought he could run the diner even though it was karen who really knew how to manage everything so him being oblivious to how much she was in charge kept her in place there, kept her from moving forward. then, in season 2 karen probably felt the same at first. she probably felt as if her keeping nelson and murdock together would do the same thing to her until elison said, "yeah, sure the case is closed. frank castle is in prison. but this thing isn't over yet." she realized there was life beyond taking the responsibility to keep plastering bandages over something obviously broken because of something that wasn't her fault and couldn't control (nelson and murdock breaking up because of matt's bas habits and the diner's business getting worse because of her mother's death).

(link fs!)
YO???????? but the fact that u can't even see the semen...... where my resin artists at😩
tbh tho.... how would you even bring that up? show him the video and then look at him all "🥺?" tell him very matter-of-factly??? ...surprise him LOL?
plus.......... would he even say yes??? part of me thinks he would just sigh and let things happen (meaning if you took care of the ... collecting. aka: handjob.)
but uhhhhh...... i'm also laughing thinking about having to convince him. the first time you ask, he walks away. then you just start bringing up every time u see him; before you go to sleep, in the shower... over text.
you like... give him a goodbye kiss as he leaves for work, all, "and think about what i said, okay?"
and he drives to work looking exactly like this because he knows he's gonna give in to you eventually (or this is what he looks like after when ur waving a little testtube around with his jizz in it)

Also, I'm kinda laughing thinking about:
"katsuki, i need your dick"
and he thinks you mean it... normally, so he's just like fiddling w/ his belt buckle as if to say yes. THEN...
"i need you to cum in this cup for me"
and he's just deadass freezing and staring at you like😶😶😶
you could probably honestly chase him around after this too lmaooooo jsfhfkasdfna.

Hi! Random question lol but I would love to know your thought on this. the ceo of you tube recently put out a article basically saying that he believes YouTube creators should be recognized for their work in the same awards shows that traditional tv creators/actors are acknowledged . Do you agree ?
Hey! Mm, it's kind of a funny one, because I'd argue that some YouTube works already are eligible for award shows and do get nominations. The most obvious one is, of course, documentaries being eligible in the Documentary Short category at the Oscars, and here in Australia, Online / Webseries is a category at our AFI/AACTA Awards, which is our most major awarding body for Film and TV.
The thing about awards eligibility for most of these things is that you either a) have to have screened at a festival (particularly for the Oscar shorts categories, there are festivals all over the world that basically put you into the pool for nomination. Here in Australia, most of our major film festivals such as Melbourne International Film Festival are Oscar qualifiers, but even some of our smaller ones such as St Kilda Short Film Festival are too) or b) have to have screened in a certain way within a certain period of time. Again, for the Oscars, feature films have to have had a theatrical release, which is why you see Netflix doing those short windows for movies they want to put into the running, or for things like the Emmys, shows have to have aired a percentage of episodes via cable or 'invitation-only websites' (aka your major streamers) within a certain window.
Most of the documentary shorts will end up primarily for YouTube, but they're usually a production of a legitimate news outlet which is held to legitimate industry standards i.e. last year, two of the nominees were Island in Between which had been made by The New York Times, and Barber of Little Rock which had been produced by The New Yorker, both for their YouTube channels (and both are worth the watch!).
But yes, the nature of them being legitimate news outlets with real, and guild/union-supported productions, is that there's professional oversight that meets an industry standard that has been agreed upon.
The problem with a blanket statement like that one from the YouTube CEO is that it sounds a lot simpler than it is. YouTube is not a traditional network or even a streamer in the way something like Netflix or Disney+ is. Hell, I wouldn't even actually say it's a streamer at all - it's a social media platform built on the back of user-generated content. The nature of that is that yeah, you'll get some great, professional stuff on there, and that stuff can be recognised in myriad ways, but YouTube as a platform also exists almost entirely outside of a heavily unionised industry (as we were reminded last year with the strikes) that relies on professional agreements to ensure the survival of the industry and the safety of its workers.
YouTube is not itself bound to any of that, which leaves room for exploitation, a dilution of professional standards if not a complete rejection of them, no award rates or minimum wage, and no safety oversight. It doesn't democratise the industry, or who gets to tell stories, it demolishes job security and worker safety.
Again - YouTube is a social media platform where people can upload stuff, it's not a professional industry in and of itself in the same way that film and TV are. As a result, the conduct and standards of a production relies on individual creators, and there's no uniform agreement in the same way that there is in guild-backed productions like there is in film and TV. That's not to say film and TV are perfect industries - they're obviously not - but the nature of award shows like the Emmys and the Oscars and all the guild awards is that its celebrating professional productions that meet certain standards that have all been agreed upon by the unions.
If YouTube wants blanket eligibility for these sorts of things (and again, I'd argue that some of the shows on their platform are already eligible) they'd have to completely rethink their model and start treating their users as workers, which would include actually paying them and having like, an ounce of accountability for the on-set standards of what's uploaded, which I highly doubt will ever happen.

Just a little thought tonight ♡
Thinkin’ about Diavolo and how he loves fucking you in front of the big gold mirror in his bedroom, one of his hands tangled in your hair and the other holds onto your hip, his nails just barely digging into your skin, keeping you in place while he fucks you from behind.
His eyes almost look like they’re glowing as they lock onto the reflection, both of your bodies covered in a layer of sweat, and he can see all the marks he left on you earlier. Fuck, it feels like he’s getting harder just looking at the reflection of you below him.
Diavolo who grabs your face and makes you watch in the mirror, because he loves the way you squirm and cry for him, for more, for whatever he’ll give you and how your sweet moans seem to echo in the large room, it makes him want to fill you with his cum over and over again….

People ask me sometimes how I'm so confident that we can beat climate change.
There are a lot of reasons, but here's a major one: it would take a really, really long time for Earth to genuinely become uninhabitable for humans.
Humans have, throughout history, carved out a living for themselves in some of the most harsh, uninhabitable corners of the world. The Arctic Circle. The Sahara. The peaks of the Himalayas. The densest, most tropical regions of the Amazon Rainforest. The Australian Outback. etc. etc.
Frankly, if there had been a land bridge to Antarctica, I'm pretty sure we would have been living there for thousands of years, too. And in fact, there are humans living in Antarctica now, albeit not permanently.
And now, we're not even facing down apocalypse, anymore. Here's a 2022 quote from the author of The Uninhabitable Earth, David Wallace-Wells, a leader on climate change and the furthest thing from a climate optimist:
"The most terrifying predictions [have been] made improbable by decarbonization and the most hopeful ones practically foreclosed by tragic delay. The window of possible climate futures is narrowing, and as a result, we are getting a clearer sense of what’s to come: a new world, full of disruption but also billions of people, well past climate normal and yet mercifully short of true climate apocalypse. Over the last several months, I’ve had dozens of conversations — with climate scientists and economists and policymakers, advocates and activists and novelists and philosophers — about that new world and the ways we might conceptualize it. Perhaps the most capacious and galvanizing account is one I heard from Kate Marvel of NASA, a lead chapter author on the fifth National Climate Assessment: “The world will be what we make it.”" -David Wallace-Wells for the New York Times, October 26, 2022
If we can adapt to some of the harshest climates on the planet - if we could adapt to them thousands of years ago, without any hint of modern technology - then I have every faith that we can adjust to the world that is coming.
What matters now is how fast we can change, because there is a wide, wide gap between "climate apocalypse" and "no harm done." We've already passed no harm done; the climate disasters are here, and they've been here. People have died from climate disasters already, especially in the Global South, and that will keep happening.
But as long as we stay alive - as long as we keep each other alive - we will have centuries to fix the effects of climate change, as much as we possibly can.
And looking at how far we've come in the past two decades alone - in the past five years alone - I genuinely think it is inevitable that we will overcome climate change.
So, we're going to survive climate change, as a species.
What matters now is making sure that every possible individual human survives climate change as well.
What matters now is cutting emissions and reinventing the world as quickly as we possibly can.
What matters now is saving every life and livelihood and way of life that we possibly can.

idk if this is accurate but i’ve felt like in previous seasons riz & gorgug have been one of the inter-bad kids dynamics we’ve seen the least of & this season has been so great in that aspect. gorgug having helped make some of riz’s magic gear. riz helping gorgug with his studies. the shared birthday party. gorgug’s gift to riz being something he himself made to protect riz. riz’s gift to gorgug being something he illegally grabbed to protect gorgug. gorgug who utilizes rage to put his body on the line for his friends & riz who will take deep levels of mental stress for his friends. even though it was within the context of a joke, riz calling gorgug an “absolute sweetie.” like yea they might not be in a band together or both part of a presidential campaign team or owlbears teammates, but they’d go to war for each other, because they’re best friends.
#riz gukgak#gorgug thistlespring#fantasy high#dimension 20#fantasy high junior year#fhjy#fhjy spoilers#these kids are all so self-sacrificing but i do think riz gorgug are the most clear (& juxtaposed) self-sacrificers#riz will mentally tear himself to pieces and get lost in cases and take on ungodly levels of stress for those he loves#gorgug will use himself as a human shield. he will take hit after hit if it means his friends are okay.#and they’d both do the other thing too. riz would let himself get hit for gorgug. gorgug would pull all nighters & take stress for riz.#even if mechanically they can’t or it wouldn’t make sense. they would if they could.#also#the starstruck barry mechanic of being a guard is so gorgug. it’s soooo gorgug like that’s literally him#anyways love this tall green guy & this short green guy so much#especially because gorgug is tall & considered intimidating but protective in a deeply kind way#while riz is short & underestimated but protective in a deeply vicious way (affectionate)#i hope this makes sense but i think riz is primarily ‘i would kill for you’ & gorgug is primarily ‘i would die for you’ maybe#this does not mean gorgug would not kill for riz or riz would not die for gorgug. they both would.#but those are the primary ways their love manifests due to the nature of their strengths/personalities. To Me#idk this is all just me saying stuff when i should be sleeping 😭#sorry if i missed a riz gorgug moment in the main post btw i’m tired
