Speaking personally, I don't think rigging matches is practical for the most in the modern era in Galar - I don't think the Leaders they have would go with it, you know?

But we do know it was canonically floated as an option under a prior Chairman to Mustard (which is why he quit the league entirely), so it definately has been suggested even if it was a long time ago now.

In that regard, I think its fairly rare in practice to be proven/actually pulled off but the accusations come up frequently because it generates clicks/sells newspapers. Perhaps more in the minor league, where there's slightly less oversight in the yearly gym cycle?

See the thing with D's Vampire-like Catholic guilt is that its not even a religious thing. Its legit him just being terrified of his inner beast, all his accumulated desires bubbling to the surface and consuming him--and whoever is with him. Like this man is so used to filling up on blood supplements or blood bags and if there is a chance he'll have unfettered access to warm human blood; especially willingly given could drive him mad if not careful. He doesn't allow himself to get sexual (When it comes to regular mortals) for that reason too, he might chomp you during the act whilst still railing ya. Not to mention this man's ridiculous vampire strength could possibly break you (again if normal mortal). If he impregnates a human woman, there's also a large possibility she may not survive. This man KNOWS he is timebomb and is trying his best not to be triggered into detonating. What a fun existence D has.
