He's been subject to gossip and speculation since infancy. Elias knows better than to let the words of others cause a tailspin. Besides, Gisela adores him. She's proven as much, leaving scorched earth where her friendship with his sister once existed. So why, then, was Elias simmering with discontent? The image of his new wife and Queen in nothing but a sheer bathing dress for the eyes of another (even if that other is Alistair) replays in his head like a taunting joke. He returns from his own bath, curls slicked back and damp with a robe knotted around his abdomen. Emboldened on whisky and jealousy.

"Call me old fashioned, but..." Elias begins, finding Gisela settled on the small balcony of their modest apartment. "One would think you'd sooner bathe with your husband than his sister's faithful guard." There is enough basis in this rumor to know it to be fact. So it's not a matter of if, but a matter of why. "What game are you playing at, G? Do you mean to spur Eleanor's rage even more? Or do you just wish to make me jealous? Prove to me what I have been to busy to see?" He places both his hands on the railing, keeping Gisela's back against the cold iron. Everyone thinks it is simple; Gisela sought to seduce Elias, and Elias is but a mindless man who falls. But he knows what Gisela knows, too. Nothing about their romance is that simple. "You know I love it when you play your games." It's what made him fall for her in the first place. Being toyed with never felt so fun. "Just tell me which one you hoped to play."

Something for Michael Schumacher birthday, maybe he hate them and the Grid Kids get him something and they all thank him

It was Mick who let it slip about his fathers birthday to Azalea who was completely in the dark, when he told her that he wasn’t a fan of them, she instantly knew to go round to the Grid Kids and decide to do something to let him know how loved he was. Gisela and Elias were on cake duty, with flowers. Addy and Cairo had to get the balloons, while Jules was on present duty and Jacob had to make sure everyone who he would want there had an invitation. The Schumacher’s walked down past the yachts, he instantly knew which one he was about to get on as there was Happy Birthday Schumi balloons. And there was loads of people waiting for him, he looks at both of his kids and knew that it was Mick. He walks on with a waitress gifting them a glass of champagne each, Azalea walks over and hugs her god father, she gifts him a big kiss on his cheek. The Grid Kids all make their way over and hug him, Sebastian and Lewis both making it apparent that if he hated it they had nothing to do with it. The evening went to plan, there was many videos and photos playing in the background. Azalea makes a speech and thanks him for being in all her favourite childhood memories and thanked him for making her dreams come true. Gisela hugging him as she could see he was getting a little emotional as they all had something nice to say about him.

silence  was  the  opposite  of  what  he'd expected when he'd drew nearer to the hatzfeld apartments. he'd been forced to listen to a handful of elias and gisela's arguments simply due to how loudly the queen screeched when upset, and given the reaction in the hall, upset felt like an understatement. they must've not returned to the apartments yet. a minor disappointment. he had a few words for his brother himself. opening the door, stefan's eyes widened when he saw gisela was indeed there. brow furrowed as he scanned the room.   ❝ where's elias? ❞   he glanced around again. surely his brother wasn't hiding with his tail between his legs.

the  eldest  by  a  handful  of  months,  weston  grew  up  trying  to  be  everything  his  little  siblings  needed.  their  parents  are  twisted  but  he  would  learn  to  see  them1  through  rose-colored  glasses  instead  of  living  in  pain.  when  his  siblings  fell,  he  felt  it,  too,  &  when  they  cried,  weston  was  the  shoulder  to  lean  on.  it’s  too  much  responsibility.  his  parents  fed  and  clothed  them,  but  he  held  their  mental  health  in  his  hands  and  the  truth  is  he  was  no  better.  weston  just  got  so  good  at  hiding  behind  this  mask  that  he  couldn’t  seem  to  tell  the  difference  between  himself  &  party  favor  anymore,  and  the  fact  of  the  matter  is  that  while  weston  was  quiet  and  just  so  different  in  a  way  that  his  parents  feared  he  would  be,  he  blended  in  like  a  chameleon.  

he  was  class  president  &  prom  royal.  that’s  the  way  it’s  always  been.  but  all  the  academic  strivings  and  kodak  ready  smiles  in  the  world  can’t  hide  the  fact  that  weston  was  no  better.  the  older  he  got,  the  more  they  could  see.  his  grandmother,  first.  then  his  little  brother’s  best  friend.  his  first  love.  everything  he  tried  to  hide  sits  in  his  lap  &  wes  tried  to  wrestle  it  into  submission  and  but  sometimes  it  won.  they  know  him  but  he  doesn’t.  his  eyes  flashed  golden  sometimes  when  he’s  mad  enough  that  he  remembers  that  he’s  the  one  who  put  the  burn  stains  on  the  wood  floors  of  his  family’s  old  home,  but  he’s  more  human  than  anyone  can  ever  even  imagine.  

he  was  angry  in  a  way  they  couldn’t  be.  he  liked  classical  music  at  prolific  volumes  and  he  liked  driving  his  car  too  fast  and  wes  liked  making  people  regret  believing  in  him.  his  mother  scoffs.  says  he’s  just  like  his  grandmother  who  she  moved  countries  to  get  away  from,  who  drank  vodka  like  orange  juice,  who  never  could  stand  the  way  her  daughter  liked  to  lie  to  herself.  his  father  glances  away.  asks  weston  to  please  turn  that  down,  or  please  show  your  ‘  friend  ‘  out,  or  to  please  stop  ruining  dinner.  when  he’s  home  alone  again  at  age  eighteen  wes  makes  them  regret  treating  him  like  this.  and  when  he’s  nineteen  when  they  leave  the  keys  to  the  porsche  in  his  eyesight.  and  when  he’s  twenty-one  and  him  and  jaime  can’t  even  make  it  up  the  steps  to  the  front  door  because  you’re  so  wasted  new  years  eve.  wes  can  be  angry  and  vicious  and  that  made  him  really  fucking  happy  in  a  way  that  nothing  else  does.

but,  when  his  father  passes,  reality  grips  wes  with  a  frightening  stillness.  while  his  siblings  are  inducted  into  the  family  business  and  take  the  helm  of  the  restaurant,  wes  packed  his  life  away  into  cardboard  boxes  and  leaves  washington  for  the  first  time  in  his  life.  his  first  taste  of  true  freedom.  freedom,  as  it  turned  out,  felt  an  awful  lot  like  being  confined  as  well,  as  weston  shackled  himself  to  shitty  jobs  to  keep  a  steady  flow  of  money  coming  in,  living  in  leaky  flats  with  shitty  roommates  and  eating  a  lot  of  humble  pie  as  he  figured  himself  out.  eventually,  he  finds  his  own  current  and  instead  of  cleaning  dishes,  he  prods  the  idea  that  had  always  lingered  in  the  back  of  his  mind:  culinary  school.  he’d  never  been  the  best  cook,  jaime  had  bested  him  at  that,  but  it  was  something  weston  could  apply  himself  to,  so  he  latched  on.

for  the  first  time  in  many,  many  years,  weston  allows  himself  to  follow  through  and  with  this  new  career  set  into  motion,  he  took  the  plunge  and  quit  his  day-job  the  moment  that  first  soux  chef  check  landed  in  his  palms.  he  spends  the  next  few  years  embracing  this  one  true  freedom  —  falling  in  love  with  girl  who  he  didn’t  deserve  once,  twice,  maybe  three  times,  studying  things  that  truly  enthralled  him,  and  establishing  himself  in  the  culinary  field.  swiftly  rising  from  soux  to  executive  chef,  his  name  becoming  synonymous  with  splashy  ‘chefs  to  watch  for’  writeups  and  running  a  world  class  line  staff.  though,  weston  stills  for  just  a  moment  long  enough  for  life  to  pass  him  by  at  a  frightening  pace.  within  the  span  of  a  few  months  he  was  awarded  the  james  beard  foundation  award  and  in  the  same  span,  lost  his  younger  and  only  brother,  jaime.  as  it  turns  out,  old  habits  thought  to  be  deaded  a  decade  ago  have  an  odd  habit  of  rearing  their  heads  when  least  needed  and  so  the  cycle  reinvents  itself  and  lurches  onward.  

and  it’s  like  being  guilty  for  a  crime  he  hadn’t  committed  because  while  weston  was  innocent  in  the  larger  scheme  of  things,  he  cannot  help  but  to  think  that  it  should  have  been  him.  if  anyone  could  bare  the  weight  of  the  world,  let  alone  keep  the  family  business  afloat,  it  could  have  been  weston.  not  jaime.  jaime  should  have  been  the  one  living  his  life,  and  instead  he  took  his  father’s  place  while  wes  indulged  in  god  knows  who  or  what  for  the  past  decade.  for  now,  weston  is  back  in  town,  picking  up  where  jaime  left  off:  cooking  up  good  food,  repaying  back  a  debt  he  didn’t  take  out,  and  trying  his  very  best  not  to  think  of  all  the  unpleasant  things.

Edelgard and Her Siblings Headcanons:

Have some fun (and no angsty) headcanons about Edelgard’s relationship with her (now deceased) siblings! (There are no canon names for the siblings).

Even as a child Edelgard was one of the smaller siblings.

Suffice to say the taller siblings always poked fun at her height. The eldest would rest their elbow on her head.

The older sisters loved doing Edelgard’s hair! It was they who introduced the ribbons.

The name El came from the younger siblings, who as babies had problems pronouncing Edelgard’s name.

Edelgard was a mature child who broke the fights between her younger siblings.

“Looks like we have another mum in the family!”-Helmut, an older sibling, teasing her. “Mumelgard! Mumelgard!”-Gisela, youngest, chanting.

The eldest brothers taught Edelgard how to use an axe. They got a scolding from their father for having Edelgard swing an axe around.

The older siblings get super protective if anyone is flirting with their younger siblings. 

Edelgard wears every trinket, flower crown and jewellery made by her siblings with pride.

Each sibling role-played as the emperor with the others having to follow every wish.

Gisela ordered a mountain of sweets for her. Those who complied were rewarded some sweets.

Edelgard loved piggy-back rides because it made her feel taller.

Whenever an older sibling was crushing on someone the youngest, including Edelgard, teased them to no end. 

“Hey Edelgard!”-Elias, eldest sibling. “Yes?”-Edelgard. “Edelgard!”-Elias. “What!?”-Edelgard. “I love you <3!”-Elias giving her a kiss.

 Some of the siblings broke into some closest to wear some extravagant clothes.

There was an incident of the younger siblings stacking themselves atop each other to look like an adult in a cloak to attend a meeting.

Edelgard used to argue with her siblings as to whose turn it is to look after the royal dogs and cats.

The first time Edelgard tried to drink tea a sibling of hers purposely hit the bottom of the mug to shoot the liquid at her face. They burst out laughing.

Any one of her siblings stuck in a tree? Edelgard will climb to take them out.

Some nights when Edelgard and the younger siblings go to bed they are ambushed with pillows by the older ones.

Edelgard received a lot of head pats from all her siblings.

Somewhere between the death of his father, his ascent to the throne, and Germany's crippling debt... Elias Hatzfeld had gone and gotten himself married. In another time, in another circumstance - it would be an all-consuming reality. The bleeding heart, romantic King of Germany finally finding his Queen. A labor of politics and commitment that would earn his wife all of Elias' efforts. But Gisela Von Galen, no Gisela Hatzfeld, faced no such luck. Instead, she picks him up when he's half a man. Grief-stricken and distracted. And though those early days of grief are gone, the weight of it remains. The end result? A new marriage with nothing to show for, but two wayward souls with matching rings.

It is put to the test tonight. Between the gross display of apathy and his constant fretting on financials, Elias has barely looked at his new wife. Though if history is enough to go on, she's a marvel in an ever-fashionable dress he couldn't afford. After the first hour passes by, Elias finally returns to her side. A sip of whiskey in hand, burning through his own bitterness. "Good evening." It's awfully perfunctory, yet it's all he can manage in a state of distraction. Peering up from his glass, his eyes catch hers, only to immediately glance away. "Have you had a chance to dance yet?" It's a thoughtless question, and perhaps if he committed more thought, he'd realize the answer would be no. After all, he is her husband.

The last time she saw Princess Eleanor was before the wedding, before the crown came on her head, just after the king had passed away. It betrayed her upbringing to throw away Eleanor's prospect at becoming queen at the drop of a hat, accepting a proposal with a prince she'd so fondly admired from afar, to put the final nail in her coffin. It was never supposed to be this way, based on their conversations as young girls. I could never betray you by being interested in Elias. Yet there they stood, at a wake that felt more like a birthday festivity, Gisela with a ring on her finger and a crown on her head, both of whom belonged to Elias Hatzfeld. "Ella..." an old name shared between friends who had, possibly, gotten too close, "I'm so sorry..." there was a sympathetic look in her eye, one that begged far much more than the loss of a father that seemingly her youngest brothers didn't care about, and so she straightened her back, "about the old king... he was so sweet and wonderful to me in his final days... this whole party feels so out of place for it."

Elias and Gisela are having a rough patch. They clearly are in love but Elias wants to go public and official but Gisela is afraid of the media might affect their relationship having seen how it effected her brother and sister’s love life. She is scared that she might lose Elias while Elias wants to show the world that he has the most beautiful girlfriend and doesn’t want to hide her or his affection for her. Maybe they argue BUT NOT break up but needed to cool off.

‘I don’t understand why you don’t want to go public. We’ve been dating for a year now and you make me happy, and I don’t understand why we are hiding?’ Elias says. They were on the jet flying to the next GP. They had took a photo together which he wanted to post but Gisela wasn’t really up for it and said maybe put it on the private account. ‘You make me happy too’ she said softly as she reaches her arm out to squeeze his hand. ‘What then? I’m not good enough’. All of Gisela’s life she saw how outside people can ruin good things, they wiggle their way through any cracks and ruin something good. Her parents told her that, many occasions they nearly split up, she watched Azalea and Cairo both find it difficult reading about themselves online. She adored Elias and she knew he was the one for her but it scared her to her core that things might stop being perfect between them. She tries to reason with him but he wasn’t having any of it and claimed that obviously he wasn’t enough for her. He makes his teammates mum swap seats with him and they both ignore each other for the rest of the flight. It wasn’t until they touched down, and Elias talks to Jules and Gisela cries to Cairo, they both come together. ‘I just don’t want to hide my affection for you’ he says hugging her. ‘I want to be able to run to you straight after the race and kiss you, and tell you I love you’ he says gently stroking her face. They smile at each other, he promises her that nothing and no one can get in the way of them, he wouldn’t ever let that happen.

Naisten vitosellla mentiin lujaa. LeKi:n Sanni Alatalo vetää kintereillään Hämeenlinnan Hiihtoseuran Anni Kainulainen.

Hakkarin kansallisissa vapaan tyylin tykkilumihiihdoissa lauantaina 2. joulukuuta 1 400 metrin latu oli hyvässä kunnossa. LeKi hiihdon kisoissa oli 165 hiihtäjää, lekiläisiä heistä lähes 30.

SM-tasolla kärkijoukkoon kuuluvat Hämeenlinnan Hiihtoseuran Maija Hakala ja nuorempi haastaja Anni Kainulainen olivat vetopäällä. Hakala voitti Kainulaisen puolella minuutilla. Ski Jyväskylän Emma Hämäläinen jäi puolestaan Kainulaisesta puolisen minuuttia.

LeKi:n Sanni Alatalo hiihti hyvin jääden kolmosesta vain 4,6 sekuntia. 20-vuotiaissa hallinnut Viialan Klaara Leponiemi olisi ollut yleisessä sarjassa viides. 5. heti Sanni Alatalon jälkeen.

Miesten kympillä vei odotetusti voiton Vantaan Hiihtoseuran Mikko Kuusela, mutta Pyhäjärven Pohdin Vilho Moilanen ahdisti seitsemän sekunnin erolla.

Kakkossijoja lankesi lekiläisille nuorille ja varttuneille miehille useampiakin. Ainoan sarjavoiton otti ensimmäistä kertaa LeKi:n väreissä kilpaillut M40:n Markus Välimäki, joka olisi ollut yleisessä sarjassa kolmonen.

(Post-Verdant Wind) As Edelgard dies, thinking how she will see her siblings, she sees ten familiar faces in the afterlife.

On her knees bleeding to death Edelgard does not look like the menacing emperor people make her out to be. 

Her crown is destroyed, leaving her white hair to cascade against her back. Her cloak and dress is stained dark red from her blood, resembling a series of wine spills. Away from her, her mighty Hero’s Relic is shattered. Lilac eyes blink blearily towards Claude and the Professor as the two approach her with weapons raised. She sees their looks of pity; she doesn’t deserve their remorse. No one should mourn for her, for she has done terrible things. Nor does she have the right to be spared because she it too stubborn; thence, continue her ambitions. Even with nothing left: her friends are dead and her empire in ruins she would still continue.

At least she will die by the hands of Claude and the professor, two people whose goals are not too dissimilar from hers. Perhaps they can change Fódlan for the better, and even take down those creatures in the shadows. The thought brings a wistful smile to her face. She stares at them with her resolve crumbling to reveal a haunted woman burdened by the past and the person she has become.

“I will... finally get to see my siblings again...” Edelgard murmurs with tears running down her face for the first time in years.

Perhaps they’ll despise her. Perhaps they’ll disown her for all she has done. Perhaps she deserves it. Nonetheless she will see them. With that said the Professor raises their sword and brings it down. Blackout.

White eyelashes flutter as Edelgard wakes up.

Her hand instantly comes to run across her scalp and face where the sword had cleaved it. Intact. Looking down she notices that her clothing lacks holes and the bloody stains are gone. Everything around her is blank, like a canvas that needs to be filled in with colour. Is this the afterlife? Where is everyone? Is this her personal afterlife? That would explain a lot; who would wish to meet her after everything she has done...?

“El?”

That voice startles Edelgard to her core.

Somehow, even dead, her breath hitches as she shakily exhales. 

“Hey, isn’t that sis?”

Another familiar voice. Edelgard is whimpering and hissing in a breath. Her ears ring and her teeth clatter. It can’t be. It just can’t be...! They wouldn’t-they scan’t possibly be glad to see her. Is she being condemned by some entity tormenting her with her siblings’ voices?

Someone tugs at her dress. It nearly makes Edelgard jump out of her skin as she looks down. Once more she is speechless. Before her is the youngest sibling, Gisela, with that wide toothy grin and iconic pigtails, the very same sibling who called her ‘Mumelgard’ and followed her around. Shakily Edelgard gets on her knees to cup her youngest sister’s face to see if this is indeed Gisela. Those dimples and freckles... it is her. The little girl then cups Edelgard’s cheeks and beams at her.

“El! It’s you! El, El, El!” She cheers as she jumps up and down.  

More people call out and when Edelgard lifts up her head she sees nine other people approach. Tears run down her eyes as she recognises every single face before her. Elias, the eldest, smiling proudly as he walks over; Agatha, making a jest about how Edelgard’s hair is now longer than hers; Emmet, the second youngest, dashing up to her... Before she could process everything everyone crowded around her, uttering how much she has grown, how beautiful she has become, how strong she is (‘she’s more muscle-y than you, Axel!’) and so forth. More tears kept going down Edelgard’s face as she broke into an ugly cry. 

This is too much. This is everything.

Somehow everyone manages a group hug, and Edelgard smiles as she cries out, “I missed you all...”
