Tale

Sans - he likes Fall okay. He’s too lazy to have a favorite season, but summer works best for him ‘cause he likes the warmth, while Fall tends to run a little chillier. Dead leaves and lots of scented candles. Yeah. Definitely likes Halloween and playing lots of pranks on not just his own friends and family but the poor, unsuspecting neighborhood (plus he gets to make extra skeleton puns).

Favorite Fall Scent: that really specific rubbery smell of Halloween costume masks

Rus - Prefers Summer to Fall but prefers Fall to Winter (it’s too hot in the summer! And everyone else gets too cold in the Winter! Ugh!!!). Loves Fall fashion though, except he almost always crops his sweaters aha… Loves Halloween though, goes super over the top with decorations and setting up traps with them for trick or treaters, also loves wearing costumes and candy so it’s just a win win win all around!! (Aside from having to deal with Sans and Toriel’s terrible Halloween puns of course).

Favorite Fall Scent: just the air in general, all crispy and earthy

Red - Oh he likes Fall. It’s cool and everything’s crunchy and dead, it’s really neat. Likes that less people are out, too, prefers it that way, might be more inclined to chill at the local park in the Fall. Halloween…he could take it or leave it, but he also likes taking advantage of playing lots of harmless tricks.

Favorite Fall Scent: Pie (literally any pie, sweet or savory, freshly baked)

Edge - Falls alright, prefers Winter just a little bit, but it’s also leagues better than Summer (too hot and sticky ough). Finds it very scenic and spends a lot of time in his garden prepping for the winter and just bc. He likes being outside! Halloween is…ugh. Not bad but keeping Red, Levi, and Vee’s “””tricks””” in check takes a lot of time and effort.

Favorite Fall Scent: would literally never admit it but he loves the scent Pumpkin Spice™️ baked goods

Blue - Falls…nice! Probably his least favorite season (he prefers Spring and Summer), but it’s alright, all things considered. Finds raking leaves tedious and annoying, but he thinks the scenery is otherwise really pretty! Loves going for jogs this time of year, at least. Halloween is a ton of fun! He loves dressing up and participating in all sorts of festive activities!

Favorite Fall Scent: Apples!!! He loves the smell of fresh apples so much

Stretch - He loves Fall, it’s his absolute favorite season (however much he wouldn’t admit it), everything from the weather to the sweets to Halloween, he loves spending time outdoors, and he loves wearing all of his comfy, baggy layers, he loves taking too many pictures of the sunset or cool leaves and drinking overly sweet coffee beverages- Fall is The Ideal time of year for him. As for Halloween specifically, costumes aren’t totally his thing, but he loves going ham with decorations and “tricking” all the neighborhood kids.

Favorite Fall Scent: Specifically a park in late Fall while drinking fresh coffee.

For Gatherine, yes!! A demon, a nasty woman!! She borders between being respectful and friendly to inappropriately violent depending on the way you treat her and stuff :3 her job is kidnapping and harvesting the entire bodies of creatures on her planet who have wasted all of their time, but she's easily enamored if you're nice, she's a little socially inept and doesn't get a lot of interaction with others bc she's nocturnal. Her workplace is a mixture of a commune and a hospital-esque building where she lives with her gf and her adopted monsters. She's very capable of being caring and responsible, she's raised her monsters, but she's super sadistic if she realizes you're terrible or trying to manipulate her into sparing you uwu

She's very strong but not very skilled at fighting, she's trained in firearms, her only other weapon is brute strength. She also has a few pocket knives :D

this is like. one of my biggest issues. im not like a shipper, never rlly have been until yj but i dont like engage in discourse bc thats stupid.

But basically? Fanon lottienat just kinda strips anything thats interesting about the ship away. and makes it like. punk x preppy. loser x popular. ive even heard black cat and golden retriever which makes me want to rip my eyes out.

And its not even accurate to their characterization? at all? like youre flanderizing them but like..... not even their main traits. like ive seen people say "precrash lottie would be like charlotte from status update (curse that movie btw. the things i do for u courtney eaton) which is just. like not at all.

first off lottie is not popular. yeah, shes rich, but shes clearly somewhat of a loner (WHICH PARALLELS NAT?? WHICH MAKES IT MORE INTERESTING???) even courtney has said this in interviews. she feels ostracized, and a lot of it can be traced back to the flashback scenes we see, esp those about her relationship w her parents and her supposed mental illness. the 90s, especially the 90s in a high pressure rich family, was NOT a good place to have schizophrenia (and yeah theres the "she wasnt actually mentally ill" argument but that changes nothing because atp in the story her whole family and probably herself believed she was.

Then we have the nat characterization. The fanon "grumpy" to fanon lotties "sunshine". guys canonically nat smiles more than lottie. girlie was always grinning while lottie was experiencing the horrors all of s1. ofc they both went THROUGH it but that specific stereotype pissed me off sm i had to address it.

also, nat gets shown a lot as masc?? which is a fine headcanon but like for her style like the whole punk thing? she acc dresses relatively femininely.those are little irks abt nat but they bother me idc. too tired to write more on this rn but feel free to ask!

so basically taking this stuff into account - fanon lottienat uses a gross mischaracterization of both characters, especially lottie (also that suspiciously align w stereotypes HMMMMM) to literally make the ship more boring. You are making it a stupid and lame trope. You literally have these two insanely complex characters who mirror each other. Theyre not opposites attract, they are the same character in different skins. They're both loners, one because of her punk/rebel nature and nasty rumors, the other because of her mental illness and lack of closeness to people. Theyre both loners because of their social status and their fucked up home life. Theyre both providers - nat the hunter, bringer of physical and real food like the deer. Lottie the prophet, bringer of hope and, through the teams eyes, the birds, the bear, etc. Lottie who begs to be a martyr but is denied nat who runs from it but shoulders it anyways. They're both bleeding hearts they both give soul to the team and are some of the most genuine characters but they present it so differently.

The fact that the majority of content grossly mischaracterizes them and is the widely accepted fanon just.. sucks tbh. and the fact that people get so up in arms about them, and literally attack fans of other characters (lottielee fans... travis fans....) for no reason?? all these other characters do is contribute to what makes lottienat such a compelling and fucked up and interesting ship. i love them so much but lwk most of yall are insane and dont even appreciate them for what they really are.

in the wings- yahaba’s literally always on the bench but kyoutani’s the one who gets the opportunity to play. yk, essentially the crux of their fight, so song title fits. more importantly though, the song is about trying to be people you’re not, and yahaba is Very Obviously trying to be oikawa 2.0, so he’s essentially waiting on the bench/wings of his own mind (and we only see the real him come out in moments like the confrontation)

touch starved- i saw someone put two best friends by bb been on a kyouhaba playlist once but lets be real. the REAL bb bean kyouhaba song is touch starved !!!! “fever got me aching” on ao3 REALLY sold me on this cuz yeah it makes sense. we don’t really see people touch kyoutani. when yahaba does so fearlessly, that’s bound to do SOMETHING weird to his brain right?? from “wait i thought this guy was some shallow idiot” to “wait he’s not scared of me” to “wait he’s being as violent with me as i am with everyone” to “wait he’s actually TOUCHING me?????” it just makes sense.

hits different: ‘you were the one that I loved, don't need another metaphor, it's simple enough’. muse a and muse b were everything, their first real love and now that they’ve broken up neither of them are dealing with it like they should. i just want to see messy exes who truly adored each other, getting drunk on the weekends and showing up at doorsteps, not dealing with jealousy, always ending up tangled together even when it just makes everything worse. just angst and pining and desperation.

glitch: muse a and muse b are insanely different, so people are constantly shocked when they find out they’ve been friends for a long time. no one who imagine that’s not all they are, because they’ve been friends with benefits for a long time now, self-sabotaging their own relationships at times and swearing it’s just some fun until they find someone permanent. but of course feelings start to get involved and neither of them is willing to admit it because that would just fuck up what they have, right?

the last great american dynasty: this is the entire vibe. basically muse a is a wild girl, she’s always down to any last minute plans and her life is a constant party. muse b on the other hand carries with all their families expectations, they’re expected to behave, don’t get their name on the magazines and eventually take over their parents role (bonus points for royalty but honestly any old money kinda business works perfectly). of course, muse a turns muse b’s world upside down. i wanna see them sneaking around trying to avoid rumors and muse a taking muse b to every party they shouldn’t be at, and muse b just throwing around their money and being happy and just letting go for the first time in their life.

illicit affairs: ‘look at this godforsaken mess that you made me, you showed me colors you know I can't see with anyone else’ if you ask me, there’s nothing like a good infidelity plot. the plot could begin when the affair is brand new or when it’s been going on for some time but every time muse a tries to break it, muse b just gets them right back on the palm of their hand. i want to see the heartbreak of desperately wishing for someone who can never be yours and having to settle with anything they can offer. bonus points if muse a is somehow related or has a relationship with muse b's partner, it can be siblings, best friends, anything, it's just way more sad that way and i love angst.

Can I just ask why people see the need to view the Uchiha as a completely different race to the rest of Konoha? Like, comparing them to poc and saying that it's the same situation???

And don't get me wrong, I personally think the Uchiha are rly cool and Def should've been treated better, but the thing is, they also did some dumb shit to get themselves penalized. (Am I using that correctly???)

Like.. The Uchiha police force was confirmed and said to have been corrupted. (if u wanna play the Uchiha as POC, then maybe look at the fact that they're also police who r corrupted, like actual police who r corrupted, obv not all but u get my point right?)

I can't remember who said this, (if ur the one who made this point originally, pls comment on this post so I can properly give credit pls and ty) but the Uchiha and Senju were clans that are essentially the same, the main difference being appearance and also the fact that Uchihas have the Sharingan while the Senju and other clans don't.

For eg: The Uchiha have a more homogenized black hair, pale skin, and dark coloured eyes, while Senju appearances have more varieties (from what I can tell)Indra and Ashura Otsutsuki were BROTHERS.

They're not different races. If you asked me, I'd probably say that a good chunk of currently active shinobi clans are probably indirect descendants of Ashura or Indra. (Most likely Ashura since the it would give other clans a chance to develop their own signature jutsu)

Also, it's really insulting to compare an anime situation where the author just kinda bs and brought in characters who's only role was to move the plot forward, to real life problems that POC experience. (I am not a person of colour, but I am someone who has been made fun of being Asian, [that's not important rn])

Adjusting your skirts, you try not to fidget. You’ve been told to wait outside, as one of the prince’s men would be getting you, yet your hands itch to explore, to familiarize yourself with the rooms around you.

Prince Diavolo’s new endeavor is ambitious, almost naively so, but when the letter arrived informing you that your application had been accepted for the diplomacy program, you had been pleased, because, well, how could you not? It was a matter of dimensional importance, and for you to be the one at its helm… well, you never were one to shy away from arduous tasks, even if they meant you’d be embarking on a journey to stay in the Devildom, a neighboring realm that had begun to take new direction under the prince as the Demon King’s health began to weaken.

You hadn’t yet had the chance to meet Prince Diavolo, who had not only come up with the idea for the diplomacy program but also had put it all together, doing most of the work himself, something other royalty could never do, as their fear of getting their hands dirty limited them in many ways. While your first missive had come from the prince himself, the rest had been written by a duke rumored to be the prince’s second in command: Duke Lucifer of Lamentation. The letters that you’ve exchanged with him have been something you’ve looked forward to every morning, as he was very good at addressing all of your concerns, helping make what seemed to be a dream into your reality. 

Much of the information about this program is still a mystery, which, to your grudging admittance, makes sense. The last thing any of you involved want is a breach of information. Trust is thin enough already between the realms, hence the need for the program, and such a scandal would only make it worse, or even cripple the program badly enough to cause a delay. 

To your understanding, with what information you had received, the prince’s goal is the unification of the three realms, which for so long have been at odds. Your kingdom was never quite as involved as the other two, but still, the middle dimension is no small deal. Many think the prince insane, but you – and those you’d spoken to before making your decision – had all agreed it was possible Prince Diavolo is truly onto something. He is known as something of a visionary, after all.

The large stone door opens with barely a whisper, drawing you out of your thoughts, and you stand, curtsying.

“Lady F/N L/N, I presume?” A finely-dressed gentleman asks, bowing. You straighten with a nod. “I am Barbatos, Prince Diavolo’s attendant. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. The prince has asked for you to be brought in, as long as you’re ready.”

“Of course,” you say with ease. If you were ready. How odd, for the prince to defer to you and your readiness. “And it’s my pleasure, really.”

Barbatos leads you through big doors and down the shrouded hall. The room you step into is magnificent, with flickering chandeliers, gothic arches, and stained glass depicting a beautiful maiden with an outpouring of white light surrounding her. You curtsy once more, keeping your eyes down.

“Come now,” Prince Diavolo says warmly, his honeyed voice sliding over you. “We do not stand on ceremony here.”

Obediently, you rise, though you’re hesitant. The prince stares down at you, but where any other royalty may have been cold or trying to inspire fear, or perhaps even awe, he looked almost excited, bearing an odd resemblance to the pup that played in the servant gardens of your old manor.

“It’s an honor to meet you, my lord,” you say, voice carrying through the open room. “As it is to have been graced with the chance to take part in this program.” You knew some about demons, as your education had been very thorough, especially once you'd agreed to the exchange, but books on them were sparse in your realm, and, you guessed, noting the lack of bloodstains and eaten souls, out of date.

Prince Diavolo waves his hand, golden jewelry glittering. “The honor is mine. I’m sure you must be very tired from your journey over, so I will try to keep this brief. Welcome to the Devildom. Currently, we’re in the Royal Academy of Diavolo, our most prestigious institution, also known as RAD, where you will soon be attending. The other three chosen for the program, who you will meet soon, will be joining you here as well. This room is the council room, where many meetings are held. I lead this council, meaning I am often dreadfully busy.” He gives a little laugh, but you remain silent, not wanting to offend. “Due to this, I shall now introduce you to His Grace, Duke Lucifer of Lamentation, also known as the Avatar of Pride. He handles much of the work around here and I’m sure this kingdom would be falling down around my ears without him.”

“Flattery will get you nowhere, my lord,” the duke says, and you turn your eyes to him. He is dressed finely as well, the very definition of propriety, with fine dark hair and eyes. “Lady F/N, I offer a most heartfelt welcome.”

You curtsy again. “It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Your Grace,” you say honestly. “Thank you for your prompt and thorough replies to my letters. They did much to put me at ease.”

The duke smiles, but it does not reach his eyes. “I’m glad. I too am quite busy, but shall always be available for you and any questions you may have. In the meantime, my younger brother, Lord Mammon, will be looking after you. He has been tasked with keeping you informed and safe, so please don’t hesitate to ask him for help.” The duke pauses. “He is the Avatar of Greed, and well… you will see for yourself in just a moment. I do hope you’re not a lady with delicate sensibilities.”

His remark, while strange, seems rhetorical, so you parse over the new information given to you while Lord Mammon is retrieved.

“In the meantime,” Duke Lucifer continues, “let me introduce to you some of my other brothers. Here is Lord Satan and Asmodeus, fourth and fifth eldest respectively.”

You all do introductions, and once more you are stuck by the unique looks of them both. So far, none of them have exactly looked alike, but they are all similar in their stunning beauty and piercing gazes.

“It’s delightful to finally put a face to your name, my lady,” Asmodeus purrs, tawny eyes sharp. “I am the Avatar of Lust.”

“The Avatar of Lust?” It is almost refreshing to meet such strange individuals. Your world has such strict, stuffy morals but this at least promised something new and interesting.

Asmodeus laughs, a tinkling sound. “That’s right! The title is a pretty accurate description, if I do say so myself. I suppose a little demonstration of my power can’t hurt, now can it? Would you please gaze into my eyes for a moment?” What he was asking was incredibly improper, but when in Rome… “That’s good,” he says. “I won’t hurt you. Come a little closer, don’t be shy.”

You raise your eyebrows, not enough to be impolite, but enough so that you can convey your skepticism. Asmodeus pauses, a delightful furrow appearing between his brows.

“Now this is odd,” he says. “Lucifer, are you sure there’s a soul in this human?”

The duke sighs. “Yes, assuming Beel hasn’t devoured it already.”

A new demon steps forward, tall and broad. His shock of orange hair only reinforces your earlier thoughts about them not looking similar. “I haven’t eaten anything,” he grumbles, his voice deep and low. With a jolt you remember they're talking about your soul. “But I am hungry.”

“This is Lord Beelzebub, the sixth eldest,” Duke Lucifer introduces. “He’s the Avatar of Gluttony and has a penchant for eating human souls, so I suggest watching yourself around him.”

“How do you do,” you murmur politely, choosing to ignore the duke’s words. Apparently, the books had been correct on some topics.

“I have more brothers,” the duke continues, “but you’ll have time to meet them later on. In the meantime, Lord Mammon will take care of you, as I said before.”

You turn, following his gaze, and see a new face, just as handsome and striking as the rest. Unfair demon genetics, you suppose.

“Do I really have to take care of this human?” Lord Mammon asks, not even sparing you a glance. You’re a bit taken aback by his rough attitude; so far the rest of them, even Lord Beelzebub had been perfectly polite. “Is there not anyone else in this damn dimension that could?”

The duke’s tone was as sharp as a whip. “You will do as I’ve instructed and you will be polite about it. I will not have you raking our name through the mud more than you already have. Prince Diavolo is counting on me to make this program a success and I will not have you spoil it. Do you understand?”

You shoot a quick look to the prince and Barbatos, who merely look used to this sort of quarrel. Prince Diavolo meets your eyes, and hurriedly, you turn your gaze down and away.

Lord Mammon eventually agrees to look after you, though not without a fair bit of grumbling and complaining. You wonder about a chaperone, then stop yourself. If there is an Avatar of Lust, then surely they did not bother with such useless things. And really, this only allows you more freedom to do as you please.

Not that you’d be getting up to anything, you just longed for freedom. Too often you’d been forced to stay in your room, or in the manor while the men were free to do as they wished. Despite knowing it was the way things were done, you chafed under such restrictions, undoubtedly one of the reasons you’d agreed to the diplomacy program.

“Lady F/N,” Prince Diavolo says seriously, taking over once more. “This program to unite our three dimensions may seem fanciful, but truly I hope we’re able to one day make peace with one another. Humans, angels, demons… I believe we can all coexist peacefully. I pray that you understand the gravity of this as well as the magnitude of the sacrifice that you have made, I am, and forever will be, in your debt, and I ask that you do everything in your power to ensure this program is a success. If things proceed as I hope they will, you will be among the first to lead us into a new, better future.”

“I really am honored to be here,” you say again. “This diplomacy program is bold, but I will try my hardest to adhere to my role and complete my duties. I thank you for this opportunity and plan to serve you as I would the queen back home, my lord.”

“That is a relief,” he says, eyeing you shrewdly. You had not expected him to make such a declaration, meaning you did not have a response prepared ahead of time, but you hope your words would ring true in the coming year.

It feels like no time as all passes before you’re alone with Lord Mammon, walking quickly to keep up with him. He navigates the maze-like halls of the Academy with ease, and you wonder how long it’s going to take you to learn your way at all.

“Lord Mammon,” you begin, and he shoots you a near-murderous look.

“Let’s get one thing straight,” he barks. “I don’t like you, nor do I respect you. This whole program is utterly ridiculous and I fear Prince Diavolo is a fool for suggesting such a thing. You’re just a lowly human, got that? You’ll always be nothing, especially to me, The Great Mammon.”

If he was looking for tears or offense, you were afraid that is not what he’d receive. You’d been playing the court since you were young, so these insults were nothing new to you. Actually, it was almost a relief for him to underestimate you because of your status as a human, and not a woman. Men were so dreadfully pigheaded sometimes, and you were sick and tired of having to play the good girl card, only smiling demurely instead of sharing your mind as you wished.

“Not going to say anything?” Lord Mammon snorts, and you cock your head at him.

“My apologies, Lord Mammon,” you say, “for I had not realized you were done speaking. I’m afraid I wasn’t listening all that closely.” Lord Mammon gapes at you, but you’re not finished. “Furthermore, I don’t know what the women down here are like, but I assure you, a few brash curse words and scowls thrown my way is not enough to scare me.”

This time, Lord Mammon is calculating, his blue eyes examining yours. Whatever he finds in there makes him curse once more, starting to walk again. It’s only then, when he does, that you realize that sometime during your debate you’d slowed to a stop.

“Regardless,” Lord Mammon spits, “don’t go on assuming you and I will be friends or anything of the like. I’m only taking care of you because Lucifer decreed.”

“Does the duke often order you around?” you ask, and Lord Mammon eyes you suspiciously, most likely trying to discern what your goal of asking is.

“Quite often,” Lord Mammon eventually admits. “He thinks himself better than the rest of us simply because he’s the oldest. It’s infuriating.”

personally i'm a biiiig rabbit vibes fan, my favorite one is just. large. i got it from lovehoney, if you're european i generally recommend it they're p high quality, and more importantly they're transparent abt their reviews! i mean i think they exist in the us too but i can't vouch for their quality there lol. (best one is from the fifty shades of grey series but it's. so goddamn expensive. but also so strong it'll blow your clit right off like if you can afford to do this one big purchase and you like rabbits i def recommend it)

grain is a salmonling (i KNOWW that salmonlings canonically r just fish guys but shhhhh :P). he was a "wild" salmonling before being kidnapped by octolings for experiments. they specifically wanted to see what salmonlings rlly were and if they could weaponise them for the war and battling etc. he managed to escape alongside an octoling, pearl, and they began living on the surface w/ everyone. grian went on to form a idol duo with an inkling, scar, and the rest was history.

mumbo is an octoling who lived underground and worked as a technician and inventor for all their weapons and machinery. he was rlly good at it too, and thus a treasured part of the team. however, he was part of the group that tried to catch grian & pearl when they made their escape and was inspired by their escape and wanted to see the surface too. so he vanished in the middle of the night and managed to escape to the surface. there he found grian again and became their stage technician for their shows n stuff

Sam holds the glass tightly and searches Gabriel’s face. There’s something mischievous about the crinkles around his eyes and the sharp line of his mouth, but he’s easy to talk to and unjudgmental of anything that he has seen or that Sam has said so far (lots to judge in a gathering of hunters, for a guy wearing a silk waistcoat). He makes Sam feel like he’s in on a joke, even when there’s no joke to be in on. That kind of reminds him of Dean, and it sets Sam at ease.

A Feeling Like You’ve Been Here Before by @majorenglishesquire is languid in the best way, like being half-asleep on a humid summer afternoon. really captures the aimlessness of their states at the time and does some interesting emotional exploration. 15k, rated E

humm, this is a hard one. I suppose my recent smolaw series, Bitten by the Cold? i was counting my kudos to hits ratio the other day and they were some of the highest, as well as easily getting to the top contenders for my most comments received. it's... much more than I anticipated lol? especially bc i think it's a relatively rare ship, i wasnt expecting to get enjoyers crawling out of the woodwork haha

the opposite of amnesia (a juno steel fic). its very dear to me personally and i remember having so much fun writing it, and getting kinda experimental with it. I was kind of disappointed with the response (or lack of it really), although i recognise said experimental shit may have turned people away.

I'm gonna go with Across Dawns because frosted over is original work. bc in the world that our heroic muses get teleported to, they experience fluctuations in their strengths and abilities, like glitches in the spiderve.rse.

so wanda COULD use her powers to nat 20 a battle, but she can't use her powers again for like. idk. three campaign days afterwards.

in the world that they get taken to, it's v much the kinda medieval fantasy magical world we know and love, but the events revolving around the multiverse are causing this world (which is at the heart of the multiverse so like, if it gets destroyed, bye bye multiverse) to experience multiversal anomalies.

villains and events and just all sorts of not good shit is happening, and the only way for our muses to get home is by solving and repairing the damages.

however, time is of the essence. and there are many villains in the multiverse who will benefit greatly from the devolution of the multiverse, and who will stop at nothing to keep our muses from rescuing the multiverse.

basically, we use the dice a LOT, we improvise our butts off, maybe we do it once a week via disco or video call or smth?? hmu if ur interested or have any questions/ideas!
