He does! Lore dump below the cut:

Torin was born outside of the Lands Between. His parents died when he was young, so he was taken in by the church and raised on the teachings of the Two Fingers. He manages to live a decent life into young adulthood before he's seriously wounded when the church is raided by enemies of the Two Fingers and the Golden Order. Although the initial wound doesn't kill him, he lingers painfully for days before finally succumbing to infection. He's resurrected by grace and the church immediately begins training him to be a confessor. After a few years in training, the church sends him to the Lands Between to hunt down those who have strayed from grace.

Nowadays, he prefers not to speak of his old life as his faith in the Golden Order and the Two Fingers has become a bitter memory.

Small opportunity to info-dump about my persona/oc?? 👀👀

Yay! Okay! So!

I created this persona/oc to represent me (for the most part) but they're also part of the apocalypse timeline. Their name is Acey, but Ace works as well. They are actually mute, so they use a notebook to communicate and draw. They are also fluent in morse code and sometimes use it to communicate with mostly Leo, Casey, and Donnie, since I theorize that those three would know it best.

Speaking of Donnie, Acey's headphones have also been upgraded by Donnie. So, no, Acey isn't listening to music. Their headphones help them to receive better signals from their external world, along with some other enhancements that Donnie oh so generously included.

They are also supposed to be near Casey's age, so like 14-16. And in this doodle, Casey is holding their weapon, which is just a baseball bat w/ barbed wire and nails on the end.

They also have two friends, Wren and Crow, who they hang out with more than Casey Jr. So, essentially...Acey, Wren, and Crow are like a ragtag team of kids in the apocalypse. They are all part of the resistance, but aren't really like...monitored by the resistance or a very essential part of it either.

ashtray used to just be some guy!! his name was elias and he grew up with a little brother called seth who he loves more than life itself. their parents were pretty uncaring and neglectful so from very early on it became his responsibility to take care of seth (he is autistic. and also just. littol). as soon as he could he dropped out of school to work and provide for his little brother. by that point he had pretty much given up on his future and just focussed on making sure seth could lead a better life than elias ever would. he never signed up to be a pet and he never would have. instead he got kidnapped one day just for his looks. i don't think his parents even noticed, nor would they care.

@piniatafullofblood tagging you because i accidentally made you insane and i think this will worsen it :D elias would be horrified at all of ashtray's scars. but i think the thing that horrifies him the most is how passive and accepting ashtray is of everything. elias has always fought back, against his parents and life and especially against those who were mean to his brother. he'd hope he'd be defiant. but ashtray is anything but. ashtray is a stranger in a body he barely recognises.

hi! sorry if this is too vague, I was just wondering how you find the sources you use? Im interested in reading up on muppet history but I have no idea where to start (aside from the links you use as sources on your posts ofc). I was just wondering, do you just watch a segment of the show and get curious about something and look it up? What is your process?

Not too vague at all!! I love this question!

There are several books on the subject, but not many from scholarly press, but even if they are popular press, they are still interesting and good reads!

I also like looking at Henson archive posts, like the Jim Henson's Red Book posts on Henson.com. Big fan of archivist Karen Falk's work with the Henson company. Also oral history interviews on The Television Academy Foundation from cast and crew are very insightful. The oral history with Joan Ganz Cooney, although 4 hours long is very good!

But yeah, sometimes I do just go "oh I wonder about XYZ" and just start looking in various directions.
