while Branch would obviously be number 1 who do you think is the second most messed up character in terms of backstory and things they went through?

JD? forced into parent Role as a teen stressed to the point he ran out on his family and was so messed up by it he didn't form social connections and lived away from society for over two decades with only an animal for company.

Bridget? served as a maid ever since she was a toddler living in unhappiness along with the Rest of Bergenkind and is very likely an orphan with no family.

given she lived in her work place ever since she was a kid and no parents or family were ever seen in the first film or at her wedding in TBT. also this is just a little theory but she seemed very easily sympathetic to Branch after he told everyone his backstory joining in on the song and the hug after he opened up. and the way she sang the lyrics total eclipse of the heart seemed well very heartfelt to me making me think maybe she lost her parents as well and could relate. tho that's just a little theory on my part.

plus she was mistreated by Chef in present day tho that didn't last very long.

Viva? grew up in the Troll Tree was separated from her dad during the escape we can assume she was only a teenager or possibly even younger at the time.

and she was forced to help fight off Bergens while she and the others made their escape then as Princess she was likely thrown into the leader ship Role straight away.

no doubt Hella stressful especially for a kid and especially when building a new community from scratch basically. plus she was separated from her dad and sister for many years which clearly had an effect and she was shown having the same fear of the outside world and the Bergens for those 20+ years that Branch had.

Floyd? likely made to play mediator during his brothers many arguments growing up and had to witness them all fall apart eventually.

and later on went to be kidnapped and held in a tiny bottle with nothing to do for over 2 months and was tortured to the point he eventually died and was just barely revived.

Bruce and Clay? I'm gonna say an easy hell no frankly they had things easy peasy compared to everyone else in their family and most other characters.

Poppy? again an easy hell nah lol she's been through some stuff in the first couple of films but nothing super traumatic tbh certainly nothing that seems to have actually left a permanent mark on her world view and personality.

IDK what do you think in regards to who the second most Tragic character is?

aka who would be best for me to imagine up short scenarios of Branch and them relating over their pasts? lol that's all this has really been about just wanting my boy Branch to have someone to relate to properly. 😂😂😂😂

Clay X Wife! Reader

"We call them meat circles." Clay greeted his brothers dramatically. Their brothers and Poppy greeted him in varying ways before he continued to pinch and baby-talk Branch, ignoring his pleas to call him "Big Branch" or just "Branch."

A voice called out, "Clay, darling, if you want to talk to an actual baby...yours are right here." The group turned to see a light-pink-haired Troll, wearing a dress with a similar design to Clay, walking over with 2 peach color haired Tollings, one sleeping who had mini wrist bands and a diaper and one awake, a yellow pacifier in her mouth, with a couple of flowers placed in her hair and a diaper.

"Melody! Hey, sweetheart, you're finally awake!" Turning to the woman as he took the baby, his eyes softened even more, "Hey (Y/N), how was your nap? You feeling better, baby?"

(Y/N) smiled, adjusting her son slightly. "Yeah, I feel like that fog in my brain is lifted, like I can think clearer. But enough about me, who are the new Trolls?"

"Oh, yeah! Everyone, this is my wonderful wife, (Y/N), and mother of our twins, Melody and Lallo! Baby, these are my brothers, John Dory, Spruce, who goes by Bruce now, and Bit-I mean Branch. That's Poppy, Branch's girlfriend---and wait a second, where's Floyd?" Clay asked, looking for his slightly younger brother.

After explaining why they were there, Bruce spoke up. "Wait, I just realized, you're a dad, too Clay!" He laughed excitedly. Clay grinned from where they were tickling Melody. "Yeah, man! These two are only a few weeks old, but they are amazing! I wouldn't change anything for them."

Melody then started to pull on her father's wild green locks. "Ow! Mel-Mel! Let go! (Y/N), get your demon child!" "Mm-no." snorted (Y/N), as she then gave Clay their son who'd woken up wanting to play with his sister and father. "You traitor!" cried Clay, fighting his grin yelping again when one of the twins grabbed his hair and pulled hard.

Viva and (Y/N) giggled, before finally giving mercy to the CPA. They each took a twin and turned to the group to give Clay a chance to compose themself.

(Y/N) knew it would bother Clay if he didn't try to help his brothers, but she didn't want them in danger.

Clay gave the sleeping twins a kiss on the head before pressing his forehead against hers, cupping her cheek, and wiping away a few tears. "Promise you'll be safe and come home, okay? These babies are too young to be without their dad. And I don't want to be a widow."

Laughing softly, Clay whispered, "I promise," before pressing a kiss to her lips, and let her rush off to stall Viva.

Bruce pat his brother's shoulder and led them to Rhonda. "Don't worry, buddy. We'll get you back to your wife and kids."

After freeing Clay and the others freed Floyd, they came to rest at Putt Putt village and picking up (Y/N) and the twins.

Everyone getting along so well, and Bruce offering advice for those first time parent jitters, he could see written all over both of the younger couple's face.

(Y/N) being the most supportive wife,and getting along splendidly with Bruce's wife, Brandi.

The two having a bi monthly moms date, having a monthly girls' night, with Poppy, Viva, Bridget.

Every month, (Y/N) takes her daughter Melody and Brandi brings her daughters for a mommy daughter cousins sisters in law date.

(Y/N) being the Putt-Putt troll preschool teacher, having her kids in class when they're old enough.

Melody and Lallo are both names after music(Melody being the melody of a song, and Lallo means lullaby in Spanish.)

I headcanon that the Putt Putt trolls' two main languages are English and Spanish.

WHO PUT ALL THIS ANGST NEXT TO MY SILLY COMICS?!

Okay to whoever said that Willow never had a daughter is totally wrong because Viva is totally adopted in her mind (she’s actually Willow’s goddaughter but she will fight Peppy for her in a second).In this comic Floyd is still an egg that’s why Viva said 4 kids instead of 5. I actually made this comics with totally different characters on a different scenario (I was going to introduce a new parent character) but I didn’t like how it turned out so I made it from the beginning but with Viva. ( i found Viva’s obsession for planning Poppy’s wedding so funny for no reason and that gave me the idea)

I’m still deciding If I should show more of Rowan and Willow when they met or wait a little longer and show it after showing how they got taken??? I don’t know Maybe a comic about the present? I’m still deciding, comics are taking longer because I’m also on other projects so I don’t have a lot of time.

John Dory Boyfriend Headcannons

*John Dory and y'all met during his brozone days, you were in a band that frequently opened for them. You both met during an afterparty and you hit it off.

*John Dory and you would constantly spend time after shows, you got closer to his brothers during this time as well and became like a big sister to baby Branch. However, as much as you cared about John Dory you never wanted to take your relationship to the next level for fear of crazy fans.

*Your relationship came to a head after the big brozone concert where John had wanted to perfect the perfect family harmony, you didn't hear from him after the show so you went back to his family's pod to discover they had all quit the band and left baby branch alone.

*Feeling angered and Sad at JD's disappearance and leaving his brother behind you decided to help Rosiepuff take care of Baby Branch. After Rosiepuff's death, you however became like a parent to to branch.

*In the years that followed Branch had grown out of his shell and met his bff now girlfriend Poppy who helped him become a better person. You couldn't be more proud of him but where did this leave you? You spent so long taking care of him what were you going to do now?

*These feelings continued to build but you pushed it down with hobbies, these feelings exploded however on the day of Bridget and Gristle's wedding an unexpected guest appeared.

*JD was back and you were pissed not only for leaving you without a single word but only now showing up when he needed something from his brother.

"Y/N, I'm sorry...I was so young and angry I didn't give anything else a second thought but I have never stopped loving you."

*You didn't accept his apology and wanted nothing more to do with him but when Branch had agreed to go on the rescue mission to save Floyd you immediately wanted to go feeling that motherly instinct to protect Branch Arrise again. Also, you could take care of cute little Tiny diamond who had managed to sneak his way on Rhonda so this was a win-win for you.

*Getting in Rhonda, y'all set off to find Spruce and came across Vacay Isle; where a spruce turned Bruce now worked with his wife and family. After some convincing you guys managed to get Bruce to come along but not before performing to show/prove to his kids that yes, he was in a band.

*During the performance you were glad to see how happy Branch was with his brothers again and when he pulled Poppy on stage, John Dory pulled you up on stage as well where y'all performed the last verse of the song.

"I forgot how fun it was to perform with everyone... especially you <3."

*Okay, JD still has the band charm you see; but it will not work on you you tell yourself no matter how much you blush.

*Moving on with Bruce, you were well on your way to collect Clay and on the way over you were finally civil enough that you and JD could have a talk about what the two of you had been doing the last 15+ years. You told John all about how you cared for Branch at that time (which John thanked you for) and John Dory talked about his time hiking the Neverglade trail.

"Sounds...interesting to say the least, you'll have to bring me on your next adventure JD." you said smiling resting a hand on his.

*You had finally reached Clay after Branch's brilliant yet gross plan to have Rhonda track Clay with his old Funder Underwear.

*Arriving at the abandoned gold course you meet Clay and Viva the leader of the putt-putt trolls and as it would turn out Poppy's long-lost sister.

*After Viva and Poppy went off to reconnect, Clay informed you of her tragic backstory on how she was separated from King Peppy and Poppy during the night of the troll escape. Clay also let you know that Viva is very protective over the trolls she protects here so unfortunately you would have to leave Poppy behind if you all wanted to get a move on to get to MT. Rageous.

*Unfortunately, Viva did discover y'all as you were about to leave and shut the gates effectively trapping you inside. You were however able to escape with Poppy due to Clay opening the gate again but left behind a broken-hearted Viva.

*Now you were on you were way to Mt. Rageous and the gang + poppy decided to have a little practice session which in your opinion was going very well until John Dory stopped it claiming it wasn't perfect enough. Feeling frustrated everyone lashed out and him especially Branch who was disappointed when he learned that his brothers planned to split up once again after they saved Floyd. He stormed out of Rhonda with a distraught Poppy following behind him

*You were incredibly angry not Just at John Dory this time but at the rest of them, how could they be so insensitive towards their little brother.

"You know what John Dory, you have hurt your little brother and me for the last time. You better hope when we get to MT. Rageous that he is okay 'cause I will end you!" And with that, you stormed off towards the back of Rhonda.

*And you stayed at the back of Rhonda till MT. Rageous where you were kidnapped by Velvet and Veneer. Velvet and Veneer had no use for you so they threw you for draining purposes but Velvet thought it might be cute to use you as a little good luck charm and captured you in one of her diamond earrings. Poppy and Branch confronted the two of them at the entrance to the rage dome and outed them as liars/frauds which prompted their roadshow in their car.

*Horrified you watched the brothers get drained as Branch, Poppy, and Tiny Diamond raced to save you on the MT. Rageous freeway. They eventually got aided by Bridget, Gristle, and Viva and managed to corner the Popstars on a boat.

*The fight was tough and they managed to free John Dory, Clay, Bruce, and You but not Floyd. And in one last attempt, the seven of you performed hoping to achieve the perfect family harmony. It worked and you were able to save Floyd at last, shattering the diamond prisons that trapped both you and the brothers.

"John Dory...getting kidnapped made me realize that I have never stopped loving you no matter how big-headed and stupid you are. The time we spent together these last few days has made me realize that you are still the silly goofy boy I fell in love with all those years ago." You said smiling.

"I love you too, Y/N!" he shouted with a grin pulling you into a kiss.

Feral Brozone au

They never lived in the tree. Their parent(s?) Escaped while JD was really little and Spruce was still an egg, so only JD has very vague memories of the rest of the pop trolls. They live out in the wild, starting out at just hard-core survivalists like canon JD. But after the passing of their parent(s) for whatever reason, critter attack or accident idk, they slowly get more and more wild. Especially Branch, who never even got to meet their parents. JD doesn't really know what he's doing, raising kids, and only has what little he picked up from his parents or the critters around them to go by. So he turns their makeshift pod into a giant nest they all sleep together in, he turns to more physical affection and they all begin speaking less. Why use unnecessary words when they understand each other just fine?

Fast forward, we're gonna pretend Viva never got separated from Poppy, and she kinda takes Branch's place in the first (possibly second) movie. She's more paranoid because she came terrifyingly close to being taken, and is traumatized. Her colors are dulled, but not gray. So qhen all the other trolls go gray in the pot, Viva is the only one with a bit of color left. So she cheers Poppy up, and then regains her full color.

After maybe the second movie, when they're exploring the other Troll Genres, they stumble across Feral Brozone. They never actually became a band, so no one knows their names but them. Poppy befriends Branch pretty quickly, and after much coercion and building trust they convince the brothers to come to Pop Village. Peppy recognized JD just enough to know who his parent(s) was, but that's it. Poppy and Viva help them adjust to society, but also start picking up some habits. Like more physical closeness, making a nest in their pod to sleep in, maybe some acapella too lmao. The boys didn't have instruments, but JD loved singing so he started vocalizing the instrumentals for his brothers to learn. I dunno.

I'm bored at work and Trolls still has a death grip on my life.

How does flux get along with the other brozone bros(plus viva and poppy)?

John Dory: flux would initially have mixed feelings about this guy. he’d know of all Floyd’s brothers before he meets them bc Floyd would’ve told him, and from what he’s heard of JD…his feelings towards him are not necessarily great. So when he meets JD, he’d be like. Hm. You’re….at least trying to be a better person so I guess we can be chill. Def think JD also made a comment about how now he has two brothers with giant partners and flux would be like mind ya business

Bruce: he’d probs like Bruce the second best out of the brothers (first best is branch lmao). hed think he was chill, they’d def get high together lmao he’d think it’s cool that he’s also in a size difference relationship so him and Brandy would bond over that lol flux also loves kids so he’d love having a bunch of nephews and niece to play with 🥺

Clay: Flux would think Clay is intimidating but cool cuz the guy is really smart about legal stuff. He’d joke about clay doing taxes for him. He’d admit to Clay that he hasn’t read a book in 15 years.

Branch: flux’s favorite bro!!! obviously biased because Floyd would have gone on and on about his baby brother.. he’d know Floyd really wants to make it up to branch so after the events of the movie flux and Floyd would stay in pop village for a while. Flux would have his RV on the outskirts of the village and he’d hang with branch and Floyd together most days, so he’d get the closest with branch out of all the brothers.

Viva: he’d think she’s cool!! he’d wanna make music with her cuz he’d like her voice. they probably wouldn’t interact too often tho!

Poppy: flux would grow to love poppy but initially be unsettled by how nice she is. He’s not used to people just genuinely being nice so he’d be like. Is she real. She’s so sweet. Wtf. She would be the one to convince him to try and see his parents again who he hasn’t seen in 15 years.

So guess who watched Trolls 3 today~

Ngl, based on the trailers I had really low expectations for this movie, and it was really only after watching some TikToks with the villain song in them that I decided to give it a chance, and I'm so glad I did. 3 is by far my favourite of the entire series. Was not expecting to love Viva, but she was fantastic and I wish we had more screen time with her!

While I'm not entirely sure how I will/would integrate her into the Rough and Fluff AU, I decided to make a design for her anyways, complete with some little headcanons/additions. (Click the image for better quality)

More spoilery/AU discussions and 4th movie predictions below!

Okay okay, movie discussion first:

-I fucking LOVE the Putt Putt Trolls. Its so satisfying seeing how the trauma from the bergens being more fleshed out, and it makes perfect sense that they are as fearful as they are. I'm actually surprised there wasn't more pushback when Viva stopped them from executing Bridget and Gristle.

-(How did they escape actually? The tunnels collapsed, but were there other tunnels? Or did they have a different way out? How did so many, including the eldest heir to the throne, get left behind? Why did Peppy not get BOTH his daughter's immediately?)

-On the topic of Viva; notice how her ears are lower/sharper than Poppy's? I think that's typically a more masculine trait (not 100% bc we see some male trolls with softer/rounder ears) so uh yeah MTF Viva real suck my entire nards

-Fuck King Peppy. This guy gets worse every movie. He is the Dumbledoor/Sensi Wu of Trolls. Mans cannot just give Poppy relevant information to save his LIFE. I can understand not telling Poppy immediately, the grief of loosing his eldest daughter would understandably make that hard, but its been over 20 years now, and she deserved to know.

-Also, fuck most of Branch's brothers! I'm glad JD went back eventually (when exactly he did isn't clear, but sometime between the night of the escape and the first movie) but if he assumed Branch had died, why not try and contact his other siblings to tell them? Clay I can kinda understand with him not wanting to venture out beyond the mini golf area and leave the trolls he was helping to protect, but the rest of them? Not one of them tried to go back for their baby brother? Not even Floyd? When Trollstice was a thing?? Branch shoulda thrown hands fr.

-Rhonda the armadillo bus thing was hella cute and I want a plushie.

-I. Do not really like Crimp

-Velvet and Veneer slayed sooooooo hard. I hope Veneer makes a comeback.

-I also hope we see more of the other troll tribes again.

-The music for this movie was absolutely fire and I NEED a full cover of Sweet Dreams

-I wish the Grandma's death was touched on more than once for like .5 seconds. Like, come on guys, your brother just revealed a major trauma, and that your GRANDMA died!! For christ sake, maybe go apologize for fighting?? maybe go comfort him????

Movie numero 4 predictions:

-Broppy marriage. Branch fr said "Lets get married" by accident HES THINKING ABOUT IT

-Either Poppy/Viva get their mom back, or Branch gets one/both of his parents. Dreamworks will pull some bullshit out of their ass and say that uhm actually they escaped like years before the others did and have been, idk, trapped in the shadow realm or something.

-We see Chef/Creek again. Creek redemption ark would go crazy hard IF DONE RIGHT and I want to see that fear of some monster trying to eat all your friends come back again

-Broppy kid reveal at the end of the movie. Unbelievable amounts of Plush Toy Marketing and terrible spin offs ensue.

-I just want to see more Trollstice era stuff plz dreamworks

-We get a Sound of Silence reprise

-Branch/his brothers are revealed to be a hybrid/some kind of special troll. I am TELLING YOU this guy adapted to different kinds of music like it was NOTHING, something Poppy and the others struggled with. Hes got something in him I SWEAR

-Tiny diamond is, once again, part of the main supporting characters

Au shiz:

-If Viva IS put in, its going to most likely be during the sequel. Peppy is already going to be dragged through the mud, might have him mention something about a lost sibling near the end of the OG fic, and since the Pop trolls will be looking for a new home, maybe they'll run into her

-Branch's brothers will not be making an appearance. They simply dont fit into the narrative. I may do an alternate au with them included but who knows.

-Mildly considering making Tiny Diamond a Greek kid. (Guy x Creek) would make for some interesting angst.

some trolls band together theories/notes!! (contains some spoilers for the new trailer!!!)

In the first movie, Creek had chartreuse pants. In the second movie, Hickory had chartreuse skin. They both betrayed a loved one for a leader type person. In this movie, the characters who have chartreuse hair include Clay, Velvet, and Veneer. I can't wait to see if Clay follows the pattern, especially since he seems to be with Viva in the trailer.

The Putt-Putt trolls all seem to be monochrome, besides Clay and Viva. While it would make sense that Clay doesn't share the same color scheme as them, I'm curious about Viva... especially considering Poppy IS monochrome, being pink all over. Give her some properly crazy hair like Viva, and she would fit right in. Poppy also was the main demonstration of camouflage in the first movie, having her hair look like grass and moss to hide from Chef! I really hope they bring that aspect back more, especially since the Putt-Putt trolls at least seem to hide themselves shape wise as golf balls.

Viva asked specifically if Poppy's father was King Peppy. I'm curious why Peppy wouldn't have mentioned Viva at all, because while he is the type to hide or ignore upsetting information, he also cares deeply about his subjects, refusing to leave them behind. He even was very careful about his daughter Poppy in the process of saving his citizens. I theorize that either Viva is lying to Poppy, or she is a half sister, one that either Peppy didn't know about or was switched at birth with Poppy.

Another thing to note: while Viva looks remarkably like Poppy, practically her twin, she doesn't share ANY colors with her father, wheras Poppy shares her hair color with him. Tiny is practically a copy of his own father, and Branch shares his skin color with each of his brothers. Now, they don't share appearance so much with their grandmother, Rosiepuff, except that John Dory perhaps shares her hair color somewhat. However, that has another generation (the parent(s) of the BroZone) to explain differences of color and appearance. Why does Viva look the way she does?

While Velvet and Veneer somewhat fit within the aesthetic of their toony/alien subjects, I think their appearances are being influenced by Floyd's essence, and we'll see a transformation back if they are without it for a period of time.

I'm so curious about Spruce's family, especially his kids. I theorize that the vacation island residents we see are at least some related to him! I also think it would be a neat gag if some of them were in his hair, or he was carrying an egg.

I wonder what the brother's opinions of Branch being with Poppy will be. Will they acknowledge it, or will Branch be spending part of the movie convincing them that yes, this is a real, solid relationship? Especially since boy bands are often known for being forced to maintain the illusion of being "available" for fans, and thus being banned from certain relationships, at least publicly? I'm also thinking about this in the fact that Spruce is married and has given his brothers niblings.

Spruce is definitely gonna yell at JD for dragging Tiny along and not actually protecting him properly like a proper child, and then Tiny is gonna be annoyed that Spruce IS treating him like one lol

Sadly, I'm not sure we're going to be seeing much of the bergens in this movie :( They're just not very present or available in the trailers so far. I do love seeing them again though!!

So a while ago (like before Trolls 3 was even announced), I created my own AU for what a third part would be like. And it’s crazy, because the idea I had also included a troll named Viva, a long-lost sibling, crazy troll hair, crochet, etc. I decided to share some stuff about it before the Band Together movie comes out!

Above is an edit on who my new troll would be. I’m lazy and am probably never going to update her clothing so it’s the same as canon Viva’s.

Originally my new troll (nicknamed Vi) was going to be Poppy’s sister. Here’s her original design:

Orange skin for Peppy, purple hair for their mom (who had pink skin and purple hair, the skin color passed down to Poppy). I wanted Poppy’s mom and Poppy’s sister to have similar names, like how Poppy and Peppy do. Their mom was named Viva, short for vivacious, which basically means happy (but in women). And her sister’s name was Vi, short for violet. When the Poppy was still an egg and the tree was first taken by the Bergens, there was an escape plan prior to the movie. That’s why the tunnels were already there. Viva, who held VI’s egg, got separated by fallen rubble after the Bergens tried to shovel up the escaping trolls, and they were presumed dead.

Cue the events of the first movie, the trolls and Bergens come together, and the second movie with the rest of the music trolls happen.

Then, twenty-five years thought to be dead, when a mysterious troll arrives in Pop village.

This is where I decided to change Vi’s character and design a bit. Here’s her final color look:

I changed Vi to Branch’s old friend. I kept the prior escape attempt, but this time, like, three-year-old Vi (not Poppy’s sister anymore) saved Branch’s mom with her hair in that hair-turns-into-protective-spheres-around-the-troll way. Also, in this one, the old Bergens were using blowtorches instead of shovels.

Vi and Branch’s parents, alongside half of the trolls, were considered dead and charbroiled. That’s why Branch was raised by his grandma and took it so hard when she died, thinking now his entire family was lost to the Bergens.

First movie, second movie, enter Vi again.

I wanted something different than what we’ve seen before. Trolls rely on their hair a lot, for stairs, rope, protection. But Vi’s hair was singed short after little her saved Branch’s mom from a blowtorch. She’s had to rely on her wit and ingenuity to survive this long. I originally designed something close to canon Viva’s cape, but bigger and with a hood, so Vi could still camouflage herself pretending to be a little tuft of grass when she huddled up and pulled the hood over her singed hair.

The plot of the third movie would be, basically, Vi arrives in Pop Village and says she needs Poppy’s help. The Lost Pop Trolls have been in hiding all this time, first from the Bergens, second from the Hard Rock Trolls, but now the threat is over and Vi can talk to Queen Poppy.

There’s something brewing in the troll kingdoms. It’s called the Colorless, and it’s sucking out all emotion from Trolls and Bergens alike. And no song can bring it back.

It started in Pop City, where Vi was from. Their queen, Viva (Branch’s mom) has it, and the only cure is something called the Heartsong flower. She came to ask for Poppy’s help, and then saw Branch.

Another thing I wanted to be different was Poppy and Branch’s dynamic. Don’t get me wrong, I ADORE the sunshine/ grumpy ship. But what I won’t like is seeing the man completely WHIPPED and the woman acting like she could care less, especially if they’re supposed to be in a relationship. And let’s be honest, Poppy could treat Branch a little better.

(All we got when Branch got rock-zombified was a “branch!” and WE KNOW Beanch would’ve been screaming Poppy’s name if the roles were swapped)

In this movie I wanted Poppy to be the jealous one. Branch and Vi would bond through their protectiveness (I assume Vi would be a sort of guard for Pop City), their ingenuity (Vi crafts stuff to help her get around without hair, such as a grappling hook or stuff. Branch uses Gary— I want to see his boy introduced into movie canon— and Poppy can get jealous over that).

Anyways, Poppy’s at first SO WELCOMING of Vi and convinces a wary Branch to join her on their quest to find the Heartsong flower. Branch is distrusting at first, as the last new troll to enter Pop Village was Barb and she almost caused the end of all music, but on the adventure he and Vi bond over old childhood memories and Vi telling Branch about his mom.

POPPY gets jealous, and this time COMMUNICATES to Branch when he asks how she feels because they’re a HEALTHY couple who loves each other (they’re totally dating btw I’ve been waiting TWO MOVIES AND TWO TV SERIES FOR THEM TO DATE)

The movie would be about Branch, Poppy, and Vi going on a quest to find the Heartsong flower, which was actually in season by the Northern Troll Tree. Aka where the Old Bergens lived.

(After the first escape attempt with half the trolls pressured dead, the Bergens kicked out those appointed with protecting the Troll Tree, like they did to Chef during the second attempt. The Old Bergens moved up north, where they started a new tree and fed on any stray troll crazy enough to wander up there.)

I guess the moral of the story can be that even though someone is from an older generation, it doesn’t mean they’re incapable of understanding equality is still needed. I’d like it if it could be perceived as an LGBTQ metaphor, like just how people are old doesn’t mean they can’t get that everyone can live in harmony, harmony, harmonyyyyyyyy

At the end Ofc I want a Broppy proposal. You know that scrapped song at the end of Frozen II where Kristoff fumbled through his proposal and Anna ends up proposing to him? Yeah that’s what I want

(And maybe we see Vi at the end talking to DJ Suki or whatever saying dinner would be nice OK I’M PROJECTING I JUST WANT SOME GAY AND THE TROLLS ARE FMNCKNG RAINBOW)

Though that could turn off a lot of adult audiences (old Bergens lmao) so maybe just some quiet background stuff hard to catch, like Gwen’s “Protect Trans Kids” flag in AtSv.

okay so for one I think theyd be excited like REALLY excited but at the same time terrified, ESPECIALLY branch, Poppys freaking out too but she keeps it more internal and tries to be more optimistic about it even if deep down shes rightfully kind of nervous

I think theyd wait a while and make the announcement a big event, I can imagine their friends and family being really supportive, I think in particular bruce, floyd, jd, clay, viva and guy would take it upon themselves to make sure the two are prepared for the big responsibility ahead of them, what with them being related to them or in guy (and bruces) case being parents themselves

i can imagine them accidentally scaring the two as well “babies need a lot of time, youre not gonna have as much time to yourselves anymore, theyre loud and needy and cost a ton, you also cant always guess what kind of person theyll grow into!” that kind of stuff, they dont mean to freak them out! Theyre just rightfully trying to look out for the two!

I think with time and support from each other, the two can power through and make wonderful parents. They made peace with the bergens, saved music and took down two giant superstars who were torturing floyd, I believe in them 🥹🥹🥹🥹

in terms of future story concepts which idea do you think has more potential Poppy and Viva's mom? or Bro zone's parents?

since their both things the fandom often talks about either by just wanting them mentioned so we finally have answers or by actually having them make an appearance and be central to the plot of a future film.

and I can't imagine a future film doing both since that would be way too similar to TBT cramming in new siblings for Both Branch and Poppy in 1 film thus making for a cluttered film that didn't have time for everyone.

so yeah assuming either of these ideas do become plot points in the future which one would you prefer? and what kinda thing would you like them to do with the characters?

in terms of Bro zones parents I've said before but I like the idea of them being dead beats who left when when Branch was either a baby or an egg.

and even when they were around they were crappy parents either neglectful or emotional abusive maybe they forced the kids to be the perfect band Mistreating them in the process hence where JD got that whole attitude from.

and in present day they could maybe come back asking for help from their sons which could cause a bit of drama among the family since Branch could be willing to give them a second chance and want to get to know them. meanwhile the older bros don't want anything to do with them and don't even want to help them out which Branch could see as hypocritical given what the brothers did and the fact he gave them another chance.

I wouldn't want this to be yet another rushed forgiveness story tho so I'd have the brothers begrudgingly agree to help have the parents slowly worm their way in with their kids over the film.

especially Branch given he was too young to remember anything about them but in the end the parents haven't at all changed and once they get what they needed with the help of their sons they betray them and leave them trapped.

and here the bros all finally have a proper conversation about everything Branch maybe says he was just desperate for their family to be complete and normal.

and that he just wanted parents in his life for the first time since he was a little kid just like his Brothers did.

tho this could lead to JD Bruce and Clay and Floyd to a lesser extent finally being fully honest about why they didn't want them back in their lives.

revealing to Branch that everything wasn't as story book perfect in their family before he was born as he seemed to think.

and their parents were always selfish and cruel maybe they actually forced them to start the band simply so they could profit off of them and as I said they were the ones who originally pushed for perfection.

emotionally abusing their kids in the process and eventually after they did leave when Branch was born JD could remark in a guilty way that he followed in their footsteps since it was what he thought he had to do to make their family work.

I like the idea of Brozone's parents being used to show a sorta generational trauma sorta thing with JD and I like the idea of the Bros being given a bit more damage to be honest lol.

it helps to explain their reasons for leaving a little better after they saw JD become like their parents used to be and it gives them some trauma of their own to relate to Branch over.

personally that's how I'd use Bro zone's parents as I feel it'd be pretty silly to have yet another film just about reconnecting with dead beat family members who still get portrayed as decent people despite being selfish and crappy.

frankly the Trolls Team just aren't very good at writing those kinda stories.

anyway as for the idea of Poppy and Viva's mother I'm honestly less filled with ideas personally I don't see her as a story concept having as much potential as Brozone's parents.

maybe if she were used it could be in a similar way she left when Poppy was only a baby and Viva was younger and comes back asking for help while claiming to want her daughters back in her life.

she could turn out to be a villain later on who doesn't give a stuff about her family even after all this time and ultimately she's the main villain of the film.

I just feel less inspired by her because overall the Poppy family dynamic is pretty trouble free even tho Viva and Poppy deffo should have issues with Peppy.

while I'd argue having another movie just about reconnecting and forgiving dead beat family members would be kinda annoying.

it is a possibility that that could be the case and maybe the mother is just made someone who Ran away from responsibility but is back and genuine about wanting another shot.

only thing that would interest me in this idea is maybe giving Poppy some angst out of it tho that would also have to include Viva as well.😅😅😅😅

tho given how Poppy was a baby during the escape and she didn't even remember her own sister the idea of her remembering her own mom wouldn't really make any sense annoyingly.
