Here are the tricky dialogue comic bits for my Chai-tentatively-joins-Vandelay AU -- there are so many speech bubbles in these images. The rest under the read more is focussed on filling in a few of the gaps I haven't covered yet, solely Chai and Kale stuff.

To preface, I apologise for the absolutely stupid and cliche pages - that are supposed to be pivotal for these two - I decided to draw lower down this post. It would not leave my mind and so I had to manifest it.

While this has some linearity between pages I did leave a couple gaps because I didn't want to iron out the dialogue or events (I've been thinking about this almost exclusively for a year but I'm still not sure what to go with) and I've already drawn these two too many times during this drawn-out, self-inflicted, errr, thing. Still shaky on drawing stuff from the game events proper, doesn't sit right with me but nothing really changes (not sure really) because of the motivations of the main characters.

Something that partly influenced this batch was this one yt comment that said that In A Blink's lyrics / vampire theming weren't supposed to be homoerotic and were just about capitalism, and I thought "why not both?". Anyway, thanks for reading.

It’s a sharp, sweet pain, one that shoots up his nerves and lands right between his legs. His teeth clink together in his haste to stifle a gasp, but Benn smiles anyway, slow and knowing. “So, lad. Got anything to ask me?” “Yeah,” Ace snaps, “can you shut up?” This, he effects himself: he slides off the table into Benn’s lap until they’re close enough to taste the wine on one another’s breaths, then he gets his hand around the back of Benn’s neck and, using the leverage, kisses him just like he would any other guy, any other time. But it turns out that Benn kisses with all the precision that he shoots with; that his hair is softer than imagined; and that red wine tastes so much sweeter in his mouth than it ever did in Ace’s. Fuck, Ace can even say that he likes the taste of it when it’s served like this, complemented by the shape of Benn’s mouth, the movements of his tongue, the heat of his large hands as they settle on his hips…

Hi there. I got married yesterday.

The ceremony was very intimate - eleven people in all, including my now-husband and I. My 14 y/o sister was my MOH and my 12 y/o brother (who turns 13 today, actually) walked me down the aisle.

These are a few slightly edited photographs from the photographer, as we had a much larger reception afterwards and wanted a couple of shots to show people, but it really was a fabulous day, and so many people celebrated with us. It really was incredible.
