I’ve already gotten questionable messages and asks with rather immature vocabulary involved so it’s water off my shoulders. The fact that so many people already love the character interpretation and the ship and love the blog and are finding comfort and new friends here is what matters- not what some choice people have to say about fictional women in love.

And just as a side note, (remember that I’m blocked so all I know is what I’ve been told)- I don’t appreciate the RL Team shooting down the passion of the fandom and the free will to interpret and make things different. I understand there are suspicious people online, but part of the reason why RE8 blew up the way it did was because the VA’s and team were so supportive and soaked in new ideas, memes- even joining and encouraging- and making a community that felt like every voice was heard.

RL being such a passion project where the team has an entire document for the lore is amazing and impressive- absolutely- but the fandom will die if they don’t allow people to take that story and have their own fun with it. That’s the fun of a fandom, how you stay passionate about something, and how you connect with others.

People are already taking parts of Paradoxical and screenshotted them as meme templates! K2 and I have fun with the story, and I’ve watched people connect over trivial things- from everyone fighting over Bela- to folks in my dm’s. What matters is that yall here supporting me are having fun, rekindling your love for these games and characters, and finding a place to nurture that love in a safe and healthy way. Hate is trivial when compared to that, at least I think so<3

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FAMILY WITH MOTHER, FATHER, SON AND DAUGHTER — how many people are in your oc's immediate family? how many people are in your oc's extended family? do they have aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc? who in their family are they closest with? are they close with their birth family, or do they have a found family?

the hawke clan has dwindled and died over the years, and not much is left of the family. for the longest time fran's only living relatives were her younger brother carver, uncle gamlen, and a few distant cousins somewhere in ferelden. as a child, fran was always closest with her mother, leandra; her relationship with the twins was difficult, more a rivalry than anything, and her relationship with her father even moreso. even in the end, she resented malcolm.

fenris joins the family by marriage some years later, and fran has a close knit found family to make up for the blood relatives she's lost over the years, even if the kirkwall crew do eventually scatter. by the time of veilguard though, carver and fenris are the only living members from fran's immediate family, what with gamlen having died of the bottle, fran presumed dead in the fade, and any distant relatives or friends lost in the chaos of thedas.

fran is renowned for her poker face, and her ability to remain composed in even the most dire of situations. she still gets stressed, but she's got so used to putting up walls or facades of composure that it's almost second nature for her now. only those very close to her will ever really see her truly fall apart from the stress, and even then people like fenris can probably count on one or two hands the amount of times that's happened.

yes! she especially loves baking, but is also a decent cook thanks to leandra teaching her young. it's relaxing, and lets her switch her thoughts off for a little while.

fran has always been a little materialistic, and thought things like wealth, power, the estate, her crown, etc., were the most important to her. deep down, at the heart of it, it's the people that matter most. fenris, her mother and varric are definitely her most important; carver and bela are close runners up.

hmm. she is quite cunning, has a flair for the dramatic, and can be a bit apathetic at times (albeit unintentionally).

Bottom Hawke enjoyers unite!!!! I just think it's especially funny considering theyre quote unquote the leader of the group, so thinking of them as actually losers who are just winging it makes me so happy.

My Hawke is mostly a purple/sarcastic hawke. She's mostly quite laid back and easygoing because she's allergic to taking things seriously and/or confronting her issues, which bites her in the ass as the story progresses. She'd rather die than let people know she has feelings other than funny one-liners. She's loud and rash, but somehow things keep working out for her... Until they dont. They really come crashing down. Behind her chronic class clown facade is someone with a very set personal moral code. She genuinely cares for her friends and has a surprisingly high EQ, which is why the kirkwall gang hasnt devolved into beating each other senseless. At first glance she seems flaky and unreliable, but she's relentless when it comes to that she thinks as her responsibilities: her family, her friends, and for some fucking reason the city of Kirkwall (she really, really wishes she hadnt gotten attached god fucking damnit, its a dumpster but its HER dumpster). Those are the only three subjects you'll see her getting serious about. Other than that she values freedom quite highly and doesn't really care about the big picture or politics. She's more of a small-scale, act local kind of gal.

At first Isabela and her get along like a house on fire; they love partying, they love drinking, Isabela finds Hawke's smartass attitude hilarious and Hawke finds really attractive how Isabela can steal shit without being found out. The problems start when Hawke's sense of responsibility and morals start to show up. It's not like Hawke has any issue with Isabela doing whatever she wants, she's a "live and let live" kind of person, but,,, even if Hawke presents herself as an unrepentant clown, she's anything but. She wants to help to a self-sacrificing degree, refuses to engage with her own needs and has little sense of self-preservation. She's careless yet also keeps prioritizing everyone else before herself, which infuriates Isabela. They begin a situationship which is supposed to be purely physical, but Hawke gets attached yet refuses to admit it, even to herself; Isabela finds Hawke's newfound moral righteousness grating and makes her feel judged for her choices. Basically miscommunications galore. They have a big fight where neither of them actually listen to each other and refuse to be emotionally vulnerable.

And yet both of them come back for the other in their time of need, regardless and even in spite of their positions because no matter what they actively choose to love each other,, does that make sense? After the second act both of them decide their relationship is worth the trouble of,, working through their issues together and trying to better themselves. As everything around Hawke and Kirkwall start crashing down their relationship becomes their solace. It's hard, and they fuck up a lot, but they choose to make it work and actively care for their relationship.

Yeah but anyways, my Hawke is also a bumbling idiot with enough charisma to compensate it. She has fucked before but blushes like a maiden the second she sees Isabela's ankle. She's the "me and the bad bitch i pulled with my whimsical rizz" meme. Isabela is like hawke no and shes like hawke YESSSSS she's a golden retriever. if i had to choose a character she's most similar to it'd be gideon i guess.

It only took one time of flying into a spider web in her swarm form and seeing the monstrosity come towards her- by far larger than her little fly- with fangs like blades and venomous eyes, for her to be utterly terrified and traumatized

She follows you to see the thing, and when she sees it sit on your bed, she nearly pukes

Why must it be so gross looking? She feels the memory of her flies being eaten by the spider that day come up again, and it makes her skin crawl

“Cool”, she comments, rather forced

She adores your smile when you grin at her. That’s so odd! Normally people are scared!

Then, you ask a question that makes her eyes, even her lazy one, widen

“Would you like to hold my baby?”, you ask, the monstrosity already climbing in your outstretched hand

Cassandra immediately backs up, eyes wide

When you take a step forward, she backs up, one hand outstretched and clutching her sickle

“I really don’t think that’s-“

Cassandra’s cut off as she feels her other hand come in contact with something soft

Upon looking down and seeing thin webs around her fingertips, she screams

So loud, you’d think she was pierced by an icepick

So loud, foolish maidens think the big, bad, sadistic Cassandra Dimitrescu has been slain

Immediately, she flaps her hand, screaming and shrieking, dropping her sickle and running out your room (she will deny any fear later on)

“MOTHER!”

Oh, she loves you so much!

Nothing could ever come between you two!

Does she want to see your room? Of course! She’s so exci-

Daniela is as quiet as you have never experienced her as she walks into your room

She shivers and trembles for a moment, immediately clinging onto your arm

“Do you not clean?”, she asks, carefully

Your laughter confuses her

Upon hearing you have a pet spider, she actually yelps and jumps into your arms

She doesn’t want to touch the floor- what if it’s crawling on there?!

“Dani?”

“Where is it?!”

The fly mutant feels entirely too trapped in a room like this, spiderwebs capable of retraining her precious flies all around, the eight legged monster lurking somewhere

You chuckle at her dramatics, and explain your pet is sweet, and tame. Only eats small insects, not Daniela’s big flies

She doesn’t buy it. Not a bit of it!

“It’s a predator!”, she shrieks. You can’t help but laugh at her

Isn’t Daniela, too?

The tall woman doesn’t listen. She just clings to you tighter

“Would you like to leave?”

“Yes please”

She won’t mind you having a spider

As long as she is never actively reminded of it

Oh man let's see. Off the top of my head-- Dawn Summers, because I think a) giving Buffy more family and b) having a teenager who got to act more like a teenager was an important contrast to the scoobies who were 40 years old at the age of 17

Bela Talbot, as I've discussed at length before but will always do so again because Crowley didn't have anything she didn't have first

Daisy Johnson, who isn't as unpopular as she used to be but I loved her from day one because the audience came in high off avengers and there's this girl who's like "doesn't this seem kind of suss" and then threw a gun in a man's face and jumped off a balcony into a swimming pool and I fell in love instantly. (Correction: I actually loved her from "you can't trace us, you can't find us... oh hi guys, what's up?")
