Eleanor: You'd only just found Rosamund. Henry: Not her so damn particularly. I found other women. Eleanor: Countless others. Henry: What's your count?

I would have gone to war with all England's might behind me, and even against England's interests, to defend you, Thomas. I would have given away my life laughingly for you. Only I loved you and you didn't love me. That's the difference.

This blue gown, designed by Margaret Furse was first worn by Siân Phillips as Gwendolen in the 1964 film Becket. It was used again in the Doctor Who serial The Crusade in the episodes The Knights of Jaffa and The Wheel of Fortune, where it was worn by Jean Marsh as Joanna.

But I cheated my way, a twofold bastard, into the ranks, and found a place among the conquerors.

Henry, for all our sakes, think of England and not of your disappointed love for this man... You have an obsession about him, which is unhealthy and unnatural... If Thomas Becket were a faithless woman, you'd behave no differently. Sweet Jesus, tear him out of your heart!
