Belly dancer reader got me thinking about König with an Arab Engel who is hypervocal about how much she likes him, Arabic has some intense terms of endearment so her telling him تقبرني which basically means "bury me in a grave because I don't want to live without you" or calling him habib albi (love of my heart). making him an absolute FEAST for breakfast because what do you mean you just want a sandwich? you are getting at LEAST 5 different plates to choose from plus some nice tea while they listen to Fairuz ✨

I like to think he would LOVE how possessive Arab women can get, man can't compliment a woman without getting side eyed by his girl and scolded when they're in the car and gets the full sass "go sit on her lap then, since you want to act like a little boy 🙄" we're hella physical too so he should expect a slap on the arm or to be bitten on the cheek as warning lol.

Oh, my good golly gosh, y’all! After seeing some of her stupendous art floating about the Tumblrverse, I knew I just had to commission something from the truly talented @bunnelbie. Once again she has rendered me speechless! I got a little self-indulgent with my request and looking at the finished product is like seeing one of my ultimate dreams come true. To the brilliant artist, the words “thank you” don’t seem like enough for all the joy you’ve brought to me.

tell me about your favorite word in portugese!!!

OH! I CAN DO THAT :D so i have i would say two favorite words, it's hard to choose any favorite word in any language because every language is so extensive and there are so many possibilities and interpretations but two of my favorite words in portuguese are cafuné and basically any form of apaixonar and its derivatives, like apaixonada, apaixonante, etc etc.

i feel like "cafuné" is one you hear often when people make posts about words in other languages, but it's truly such a lovely word <33 it's a word dedicated to the specific kind of caressing of someone else's head, like when you lay on your parent's lap and they massage your head? that's cafuné. not only is it a delightful word it's about a delightful action, there's nothing better than some cafuné! :] it comes from quimbundo, a language spoken in angola!

and my other favorite word is any form of "apaixonar" basically :] that's a verb that means "to fall in love" as are all of its sisters; "apaixonada" means being in love, "apaixonante" is uhm.. hard to explain but it's like, captivating, something or someone that makes you fall in love constantly. it's also FAR from being only used in romantic contexts which makes it all the better for me :D and it's just such a lovely word, i love the way it sounds ...

also together with this specific bit, about the non-romantic but still lovey side, is "namorando", dating, when talking about something, not someone. it's not something i've ever seen in english, i think, but for example, say i really really like a dress, i can say "eu estou namorando aquele vestido" - "i am dating that dress" to mean i really like it \nd want it. i think it's so fun and i love using it, but i'm pretty sure it doesn't exist in english lol

I am sat here, at... Just gone 5am... feeling all tired and stressed because I've got so much going on both in relation to university over the coming weeks (with my last deadline for this year being 10th/11th December) so I'm not sure how frequently I'm going to be able to actually write or anything in the meantime!

And, in the realisation that yesterday was Wednesday, I'm going to share what may possibly be my last WIP until after uni has died down for the year 💛 I'll obviously be on here still, just not so much on a creative capacity.

I'm not sure if I've posted this snippet before, no doubt I probably have, but pfft. Too tired to check. Wanna share it anyway. I've been sitting on it for a while, but nonetheless I love it (even if this version has been edited a teensy little bit to remove references to a future plot point for The Perfect Storm!)

“It looks wonderful out here tonight...” Elyse whispered, hands gripping onto the wooden railing of the balcony as she stared up at the skies with awe across her features. “I spent most of my life hearing from my mother just how beautiful the Skyrim night sky was. I’ve lived here for about four years now, and every time I look up at night and there are no clouds, it’s just as incredible as the first time I saw it.”

Balgruuf nodded at her observation, though in all fairness, he was looking at a different sight entirely. He was too busy looking at her... The way in which her hair had fallen loose from behind the ear closest to him, which had him wanting to tuck it back to where it had been. The sparkle in her eyes as she took in the sight of the aurora. The slight flush across her cheeks from the wine.

Divines, she was... Beautiful. Moreso than the night sky. And just looking at her as she was made him feel... something. Something he hadn’t felt in a long time.

Elyse let out a quiet sigh, then slowly moved to lean against him. It took him aback for a moment, though it didn’t take him long to move his arm to behind her back.

He could envision spending the rest if his life like this. With her.

He also couldn’t help but move his other hand just to tuck that stay strand of hair back to behind her ear before long, though his hand lingered as she turned to look at him. Knuckles lightly brushed against the skin of her cheek, trailed across her jaw, and even with that slight motion, he could feel the warmth radiating off her. He didn’t notice her own hand reach up to his until their fingers touched, but rather than pull him away, she took his hand into her own.

There were far too many words which he wanted to say. Needed to. But little noise came from him as he opened his mouth – all he managed was a whisper of her name.

In an action which was perhaps more succinct than his attempt at vocalising his thoughts and emotions, he tilted his head down so that their foreheads were touching, lips barely an inch apart as the hand which was being held by hers broke free from her warmth and came to rest on her waist. She was the one who closed the distance though, the faintest taste of the wine from earlier lingering on her lips.
