NeoEarth Bestiary Log 2: Soulshifters
Commonly described as monstrosities, Soulshifters are a complex, sapient and extremely rare species, possessing divine powers derived from their connections to a collective celestial body(aka, a constellation).
Although not entirely exclusive to Neo-Earth, Soulshifters have confirmed responsibility in reshaping the planet, terraforming it to their liking and ultimately turning it into their home. In spite of their pursuit of a semi-nomadic lifestyle, they consider Neo-Earth to be their safe haven and will always return to it upon completion of their journey. Because of this active choice on their part, this earns them classification as a Neo-Earth species.
There are only two known Soulshifters in existence due to their birth being under a unique set of circumstances impossible to replicate unless the qualifications are not met exactly or extremely closely, making them extremely elusive. Not only that, but that makes this document just as rare, as it may be one of the few that goes into detail regarding this species. Anyone going over this document would do well to do so very carefully. (OOC: Soulshifters are a closed species for this reason. Unless the qualifications for a Soulshifter to be born are met or very closely met it is impossible to recreate the steps needed for another pair to canonically be born.)
The two Soulshifters are said to have initially been one entity created by two celestial bodies that previously governed the primordial space-time continuum with the intent of mass dethronement and destruction of several powerful races including their own kind. This entity's powers are described to be tied and made through a large amount of stars spanning across the Cosmic Expanse to form a superconstellation said to only be visible at the end of the universe, able to harness the powers of chaos and order in a bid to dethrone the King of Everything. In past theory the existence of such an entity was considered a impossibility, yet this entity debunked this theory with its birth and thrived only to be ostracized as an abomination too powerful to claim its right to live.
This was before the entity eventually discovered its deicidal existence and fled from its creators before understandably beginning a rampage through Universe 333 via child-like tantrum, ravaging several planets over the course of many eons until it was eventually cornered and presumably defeated. In an act of pity for the unfortunate entity the King of Everything salvaged its soul before splitting it into two separate halves and letting the magic that filled the entity's being take on new form. With the two entities born anew from the physical embodiment of divinity, magic, and soul, they were returned to their original creators for a second chance. Having no true form or identity would allow these two entities to pave their own individual paths, thus creating the Red and Blue Soulshifters.
As the name implies, Soulshifters are a type of shapeshifter. They are monoped, with a look and feel similar to a cool slime on a surface level. However, taking in anything for a prolonged time period will actually cause the object or part to take on a lot of heat, as if it were dipped into magma. When their form is not being held properly, it can be reflected in the way that puddles formed of their physical essence bubble similarly to hot tar.
In the core of their chests is an object called a Soul Heart that acts as a Soulshifter's life source. Sitting on the surface of the "skin" makes the Soul Heart the most vulnerable part of its optionally amorphous body, as it takes effort to withdraw it temporarily under the surface for protection. The outside texture of the Soul Heart is comparable to that of the smooth but firm cookie of a macaron, while the interior remains unknown. In between the cracks on a Soul Heart offers an alternative textile experience in the form of a thick, protective rubbery membrane similar to what can be found in a chicken egg, but naturally much less fragile by comparison. It can be assumed that the inside of the Soul Heart is liquideous in nature, as it can bleed out a glowing magic substance described as "liquid sun", similar to plasma. During shifting the Soul Heart takes no change, remaining the same in appearance and only shrinking or growing in proportion to the form taken. When separated from the more goopy body, the Soul Heart seems to possess four thin tendrils on each corner. The implication here is that these tendrils keep the Soul Heart attached to the body in normal circumstances.
In several aspects such as personality, palette, and even powers, the two halves of the original entity directly oppose one another while simultaneously presenting the grounds for them to get along as they cover each other's weaknesses, increasing their odds of survival. Whether the cause is trauma bonding or something else entirely is unknown, but our studies have observed significant distress, mood swings, and drastic changes in behavior and health whenever the two are separated for too long.
Their powers also seem to contrast from their natures and elements, making them incredibly contradictory to even themselves. Suffering appears to have been a key part in both their initial creation and in their way of life, only numbed upon the onset of madness. Trauma can cause cracking in the Soul Hearts of either or both entities, granting an increased output in power at the cost of greater vulnerability.
They possess a unique shapeshifting ability that only seems to work when they have come into contact with any species with a biological genetic code(with some exceptions), allowing them to use that code as a template map for taking on a different form. Further limitations observed include the inability to change their preset color palettes(cold patterns for Blue, warm for red) and occasional inability to alter size. When changing into a new form for the first time multiple factors can subconsciously determine the appearance such as preferences, familiarity, desires…even stress factors could play a part in this, and make the resulting form bigger for protection as a result. The appearance is set in stone after the first shift and cannot be changed unless the form taken is detached from and recycled. It is worth mentioning that on their own, Soulshifters do not originally possess their own unique genetic codes until it is created when they take on a new form where it is applicable.
Studies show that Soulshifters have a drawback to their shifting in which they cannot do so within water, as their bodies begin to melt away from their Soul Hearts, leaving that to sink while the essence that made up their bodies stays afloat on the surface similarly to oil.
While it is impossible to separate their magic and divinity from them as they are the living embodiments of said magic and divinity, it has been proven that their forms can be separated from them. The bodies left behind will feel hollow, distant, and soulless as a result of the separation process. The form will eventually die if not reunited with its Soul Heart or given a new soul of its own. If a Soulshifter doesn't like a particular form it can forcefully separate and consume the form in question to recycle it, create a new form, and start anew. Their Soul Hearts can also be attached to another individual, slowly eating it alive and taking over their body in a similar fashion to a parasite, ultimately claiming the body as their own if desired once all traces of the previous soul are consumed. It is possible for them to live within the soul of another person without causing harm, though this is usually for safety reasons (Overseer Note: We were not given clarification as to whose safety would be secured in this scenario, but based on what little context clues we were given, we can assume that its the Soulshifter).
It is possible to create a false soul by transferring the consciousness and fragment of a Soul Heart into a premade form with no soul of its own, but should the consciousness is removed from the form and returned to the main Soul Heart, it can (not always) create something known as a Faux Soulshifter. Alternatively, increased exposure to or ingestion of the magic substances generated by a Soulshifter also have the chance of creating a Faux Soulshifter (Overseer Note: consider the creation of a seperate document discussing Faux Soulshifters for further clarification).
If a Soulshifter dies they can reconsistute within varying periods of time depending on the severity and speed of their death. This period of time can range anywhere from as little as a few minutes to as long as a few years. During this time their consciousness and spirit returns to the astral bodies they are tied to in order to recover, resting until they regain the energy to reform. The only way to ensure permadeath in the Soulshifters is if both are killed at the same time with no desire to continue living. This is said to have dire consequences as this will trigger universal heat death throughout the Cosmic Expanse, with time and space ripping itself apart as the constellations that make up the original entity burn up and explode simultaneously until nothing remains. Because of this their survival must be guaranteed.
Thankfully there is a surprisingly simple way to ensure this through feeding them material objects with high energy output. Materials such as uranium and plutonium, as well as substances rich in minerals and/or magic, make excellent fuel to keep the flame from their stars burning for much longer. A theory suggests that locating the individual stars and using our solar absorption generators to drain them of energy has a chance of stopping the heat death, but it's not advised we actually try to test this. Nonetheless, they would still live on as gods dying only if they lose worship or be forgotten to time. Thankfully, their efforts have ensured no shortage of it due to their categorization as primordial mad gods.
Unlike their other forms their default appearances were created through a special method, forming giant cocoons from an unidentified substance over their Soul Hearts and attaching themselves to a wall for support before undergoing a form of metamorphosis using a combination of DNA to create a body of their liking. The outcome tends to be random and time consuming as it not only takes several tries to form a suitable body, but the Soulshifters must work from the ground up instead of working off a preexisting biological code. Any bodies deemed failures are shortly detached from and either consumed or salvaged for future use. Theoretically, this cocoon method could be used to give birth to entirely new and unique creatures assuming a soul is implemented. Because Soulshifters do not possess a unique genetic code by default, these new creatures could not be considered offspring by blood relation and thus a mutual agreement for a parent-child relationship must be made instead.
Under normal circumstance, certain injuries and bodily modifications made to specific forms and their default are temporary. However it is still possible for those injuries and modifications to become permanent if neither are handled accordingly or they do not shift after a certain period of time. It is found that permanent injuries and modifications made to some forms do not carry over to the others.
While they mostly tend to differ in powersets, there are abilities that are either shared or function similarly such as a form of teleportation and a vocal attack charged by radiant energy.
Soulshifter Blue
Soulshifter Blue responds best to the name Geragera Guffaw and is classified as a god of chaos, often considered the more malevolent of the two in spite of a celestial nature and more passive abilities such as illusions, charms and healing. His true body is pitch black in color with small, light blue spots dappled throughout that glimmer against the dark of his skin not unlike stars. He sports a serpentine face shape with symmetrical light blue and white triangular teeth. His Soul Heart appears to be a pale off white, almost slate color with a radiant white interior, with his magic reflecting accordingly.
Alongside his other passive abilities previously described, Geragera is able to displace time around him, appearing to move faster. This is because he simply slows down time as opposed to just stopping it outright. Using this same ability he can self-duplicate by displacing himself within the created time shift to effectively create false versions of himself. He despises being kept in one place and doesn't do well with sitting still, which makes sense for his somatic casting method that incorporates movement and even dance for spellcasting.
Geragera enjoys taking forms that are small and unassuming in appearance as they make him easy to underestimate, equating him to an eldritch horror in the form of an endearing creature. His forms also follow a cool color palette, primarily but not limited to greens, cyans and blues as well as falling towards darker greyscale colors. His most identifying features throughout most of his forms are his glaringly bright blue eyes and speckles. Geragera's possesses the unique capability to take on mechanoid forms due to an inclination towards technology and machines.
Observations from creatures that do not consume stars as part of their regular diet have found that the essence from Geragera's true Soulshifter form has a poor flavor akin to the common glowstick, with a burning chemical mouth sensation to match. Thanks to Geragera, we have discovered that Soulshifters are able to produce a type of roaring sound, and that his is a rather horrid mix of screeching metal and nauseating static.
Soulshifter Red
Soulshifter Red responds to Ruckis Kingstarr and is classified specifically as a Goddess of Control. She is often described as the more benevolent of the two despite an Infernal nature, a greater affinity for fire and destructive terraforming powers. Her body is a stark white color with faint splotches of tiny red dots all over her body that makes it look as red tinged as her teeth, which are cartoonishly straight and blackened. Her head shape appears canid or equine in nature, with hair reaching far down her back like a fur mane. An internal glowing red magic core under a black outer exterior gives the impression of red hot magma glowing beneath the dark cooling lava thanks to the cracks on the surface of Ruckis' Soul Heart.
In spite of her destructive powers, Ruckis can create new life with just as much ease and bend molecules to her will, from changing the molecular structure of an object and turning it into something different by bending light, sound and even force to generate highly convincing illusions within any given space. True to her name, Ruckis is loud and proud and hates to be silenced, fitting for her preference to use verbal casting. In some, if not most cases, singing is used to as her casting method.
Her true form possesses ear-like appendages that simultaneously look a little like horns, with the left having a permanent nick that follows her throughout her forms one way or another. It's likely that this is an incurable magic scar leftover from a physical altercation with her mother many eons ago. Her forms tend to be larger for safety in strength, making her a damage sponge. Her palette tends to color warm colors primarily but not limited to reds, oranges and yellows paired with lighter greyscale colors. Her red piercing eyes follow most other forms. Her default is a curious exception to the rule, with blue and green heterochromia in the eyes intended to hide her true identity. She is able to take on plush or toon forms because of an extensive love and knowledge of artwork and music.

Humanity's Hope D-Sides concept.
Hey everyone! So one day while I was looking at fanmade FNF D-Sides stuff, I had the thought to do a D-Sides version of the Humanity's Hope AU for fun. (Some links for those unaware of what the AU is)
It was pretty hard to do this concept, since Maria is the main villain in D-Sides Sonic. But I had an idea on how I could make it work while still somewhat following D-Sides Sonic's lore.
Here it is:
"Years ago on a space station known as the Space Colony ARK. There lived a young girl named Maria Robotnik and her cousin Ivo Robotnik. Their grandfather, Gerald Robotnik, had suddenly dissapeared one day, leaving them all alone by themselves.
One day, Maria was wandering around the ARK and came across Gerald's lab, curious, Maria checked around the place to see what he had built before his dissapearence. One of the inventions would catch her attention, some sort of platform with a keypad and a power switch. Turning it on, she fiddled around with it, accidently hitting a button and getting zapped, knocking her out cold.
When she awoke, she found herself lying on the ground, and face to face with a purple hedgehog, kneeling down and looking at her. This was Sonic The Hedgehog, the guardian of the Master Emerald. Something that Maria saw behind him, it was a georgious-looking gem. But Maria noticed something... strange, about it.
While Sonic was confused, Maria could swear that she was hearing a faint voice calling out to her from within the emerald, and so she placed her hand onto it. This action caused lots of energy from the Master Emerald to flow within her, causing her to collapse.
Getting back up on her feet, Maria wasn't even sure what happened. Unsure what else to do, Maria set off to explore her surroundings.
Eventually Maria would find some sort of camp run by two robots with (fake) mustashes named Prisbot and Cylbot. It was there where someone would suddenly greet her, the spirit of an echidna girl named Tikal.
Tikal would tell her that the power she gave her could actually transform her into a magical girl by pointing up to the sky and saying the phrase "Magical Maria, powerup!" It worked! And everyone was amazed by it.
Maria spent the next few days getting taught how to use her newfound powers, after everything was done, Maria returned to Angel Island and showed Sonic these powers too.
Maria would then live a peaceful life with her new purple friend, but this peace was soon shattered once someone dicided to steal the Master Emerald for infinite power. And Maria was shocked to see who it was...
It was... an older version of her...?
Maria knew what she had to do, and raced after this "impostor" to get the Master Emerald back, Sonic had some trouble due to his shoes becoming heavy from being far away from the emerald, but eventually his shoes malfunctioned and unlocked permanently, allowing him to run as fast as Maria and to finally be able to explore the land. Eventually, Maria defeated the "imposter" and brought the Master Emerald back.
Little did young Maria know that this "faker" really was the real deal from the future, and that her older self would harness a bit of the Master Emerald energy, allowing her to become a Dark Magical Girl and fight her younger self so that she can have the Master Emerald all for herself. And thus, the story would begin..."
And there you have it! Obviously I didn't touch on the other Magical Girls and the storyline with the plague created by D-Gerald (NIDS), the Chaos Emeralds, D-Shadow, and D-Ivo. But those ideas are still in this version of the AU.
One thing that I should tell you all is that some of the companions are changed here. Young D-Maria has Sonic, D-Helen now has Claws, D-Sara has Cream, and Older D-Maria has Shadow and Fang/Nack. (And yes, Older D-Maria's role is a fusion of Eggman and Eggette's roles in the OG AU.)
I also imagined that Young D-Maria looks like the regular D-Side Classic Maria design, but without the Eggman infuences. A mix of the normal and D-Side designs if you will. (But I'm unsure what Hope, Sara, Helen and Frances' D-Side designs will look like yet. I could ask Deacon, but I don't want to bother him.)
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this concept, and if you have any questions, whether it'd be lore, or ideas for the D-Side versions of the characters mentioned above (trust me, I don't have any ideas right now for the rest of 'em apart from Sage and maybe Elise). Let me know!

My Digital Grimoire: Spellwork under the Beaver Moon
While I am keeping a physical journal where I'm writing everything down during the process of the spell, I also wanted to go ahead and make a digital copy in case anything happens to the journal. For posterity or whatever. So here we go, my first entry into my digital grimoire.
This spell has to do with my current situation at work: I am unhappy in my current work environment, and I am waiting to be relocated... but I decided to try my hand at giving the process a little boost and hopefully speed things up with some help from the Beaver Moon! I call this the "Get Me Out Of Here!" spell.
Tumblr media
"Get Me Out Of Here!" Spell
Intention: Speed up my relocation process at work
Medium: A green candle I chose green as the color correspondence as it is the color most commonly associated with money and career magic in my culture.
Anointment: Peppermint oil Peppermint has many magical properties and correspondences, but in this working, I am specifically calling upon its ability to attract prosperity in matters of money as well as its calming nature to imbue myself with patience.
Ingredients:
Ginger: Strength and speed, self-confidence and success
Basil: Move forward with positivity, attract money and success
Cinnamon: Fiery energy to "light the fire" under the situation and speed things up
Cayenne pepper: Same function as cinnamon but turbo charged on the speed, also repels negativity (note to self: this will be a good ingredient for some Fiery Wall of Protection oil!)
Dried aloe leaf: Protecting myself from being "burned" by the fiery ingredients, create peace and patience in the situation, and also bring success
I wanted to incorporate ingredients that have correspondences to success-- especially in matters of money because this spell pertains to a job situation. I incorporated lunar timing as an "ingredient" of sorts for this spell. I performed it on the night of the Beaver Moon in Gemini (Nov 27 2023) in order to harness the energy of the beavers (hard work, diligence, and transformation) as well as the sign of Gemini (communication, adaptation, and versatility). I also imbued this spell with the element of fire-- not only in the choice of the candle magic medium but also in several of the ingredients-- in order to kickstart the momentum.
Energetic Amplifiers:
The Chariot: This is the tarot card to represent momentum, change, or relocation.
Green Aventurine: Very often used in money and job spells! Associated with prosperity and success.
Sigil Work: I crafted a chaos magic sigil to be charged and activated by being set aflame by the candle. (I won't be showing the sigil or divulging what the power phrase was because a sigil is highly personal and must be created by the practitioner themself. If you choose to use this spell, by all means create your own-- or forgo the sigil entirely if sigil work is not your jam!)
Methodology:
Cast a circle and ground yourself within your sacred space
Light incense and white tea light candles for protection while working
Create and prepare the sigil (I drew my prototypes in my journal before settling on the final design, then I drew the sigil on a small piece of paper to be burned in a later step)
Bless and dress the candle!
Light the candle while speaking aloud these affirmations: "I am happy at my new location. I am thriving in this new environment. I am happy at work. So mote it be."
Burn the sigil to charge & activate it with the candle's flame
Let the candle burn and work its magic! Visualize the desired outcome!
Perform some divination to check for any possible obstacles that might crop up (I used my Moonology oracle deck for this as well as evaluated the candle's flame while it was burning and the way the wax melted during the spell)
Cleanse yourself and your space, close your circle, thank the elements, etc.
???
Profit!
Divination:
I did a very simple 3 card pull for the divination aspect of this working. The first card represents the current status of the situation. The second card represents any potential obstacle I might face. The third card represents the outcome!
First Card: Void-of-Course Moon
The current status is stagnant. Nothing has happened yet, and the whole process is beholden to the red tape of policy. Nothing is moving... yet.
Second Card: New Moon in Scorpio
A phoenix rises from the ashes. Scorpio energy is all about death and rebirth, new beginnings, and reinventing oneself. It also endures hardship. The situation may actually get worse before it gets better or there may be a setback or some kind. However, the intention of this entire spell working is in part an attempt to counteract any setbacks.
Third Card: Third Quarter Moon
An attitude adjustment on my part is definitely needed. Admittedly, I have had quite a negative attitude about my job for some time now due to being in a toxic work environment. In order to get through this situation with grace and professionalism, I need to surrender the negativity and just try to have patience. The change is coming, and I have to do my part to ensure it is a positive change.
Candle Flame & Wax:
While the spell was burning, the candle's flame was tall and bright and burned extremely steady. The air in the room was still, so the flame stood proud and tall and burned without issue, indicating that the spell had a strong and pure energy. The wax was burning cleanly and evenly. However, at a certain point, my home's central air kicked on and created a strong current in the room that affected the candle for a short time and caused the flame to blow toward one side and melt the wax unevenly. I decided to incorporate that into the reading of the candle wax anyway, and this resulted in a large dripping pattern down one side of the candle. It gave me the impression that some kind of "unexpected side effect" may also come about during the course of this situation. Only hindsight may tell me if that was relevant or if it was just a result of some wind in the room, lol.
Closing Thoughts:
I am still a beginner witch, so it will be interesting to look back on this spell after my relocation is finalized and I've settled in to my new routine to reflect on the efforts I put in here! I'll be sure to update this once that comes to pass.
If anyone reading this is also in a toxic work environment and is waiting on a transfer, either to a new location or department within the same company or a transition to a completely new job, and you feel that the vibes of this spell resonates with you, please let me know if you give it a try yourself! Feel free to adapt any aspect of it to suit your own preferences and practice as well. :)
Blessed be!

POWERS.
Death Embodiment: Death embodies decay and can possess the soul of a living being. Often taking the form of a woman, Death can manipulate reality, time, and space, and came into existence at the same time as Entropy, Eternity, and Infinity. Immortals are immune to Death's ability. She's Omnipresent as she can appear anywhere within universe and may even be able to travel to other universes.
Magic: In her human witch form as Rio Vidal, she is considered a powerful sorceress, called the (first) Green Witch. Some examples of her magic powers include:
Elemental Magic: Vidal has the powers to control the earth elements. She has the ability to conjure and even control the weather in her battles.
Aerokinesis: She can generate mini tornadoes that she can bend and twist at will.
Chlorokinesis: She can generate, create and project several different types of plant life; for example, she is able to create vines to attack her enemies.
Pyrokinesis: She can generate heat and manipulate green fire.
Telekinesis: Vidal has been shown moving objects and people with non-physical magical force.
Healing: She possesses the ability to rapidly heal others from any physical injury.
Flight: She can fly using Witch Broom or levitate on air without broom.
Mage Physiology: Vidal is a witch, a race of human-like beings that are born with the ability to harness Magic.
Witchcraft: As a witch, Vidal have access to a specific kind of magic exclusive to witches known as Witchcraft, the ability to tap into this universe's infinite store of ambient magical energy and manipulate these to a variety of effects. A skill derived from three major sources: personal powers of the mind/soul/body, powers gained by tapping the universe's ambient magical energy and employing it for specific effects and finally, powers gained through the tapping of extra-dimensional energy by invoking entities or objects of power existing in mystical dimensions tangential to her own. The latter means of power is usually gained by the recitation of incantations.
Earth Magic: As a green witch, Vidal has the innate ability to use Earth Magic, however, her power level far surpasses that of any green warlock/witch, since she is the first Green Witch who was gifted this magic from the Elder Goddess Gaea herself, which grants her a power level equivalent to that of the Scarlet Witch, who manipulates Chaos Magic originating from the Elder God Chthon. She can shape and manipulate this magic for different effects, such as forming tangible constructs of energy or cast spells without incantation. Her magic is primarily composed of green energy mixed with darker green and black hues.
Psionics: Simillar to Maximoff, Vidal also display a wide array of psionic powers before fully awakening the potential of her magic. As the Green Witch, Vidal's psionic powers grew to became extremly potent and strong, rivalling with the Scarlet Witch.
Psychic Energy Manipulation: Vidal can project energy blasts, streams, waves and bolts of her own psionic and telekinetic energy, allowing her to strike, push, pull or blow away her targets, potentially exerting enough force to destroy them. This energy manifests in any shape or form, outlining her telekinetic spheres of influence, as the energy is visible in a greenish color.
Telekinesis: Vidal has the ability to move, levitate and otherwise manipulate objects using her psionic energy in a remote manner without the need for her energy to first be projected from her hands. Vidal utilized between power to trap Vertigo in the air as well as send her flying away.
Telepathy: Vidal demonstrated the power to mentally interact with other living beings, allowing her to read their thoughts, emotions, desires, etc. With this, Vidal managed to enter Agatha Harkness's mind by detecting the Scarlet Witch's spell, which was suppressing her consciousness and trapping her in an illusion while forcing her to remain with Agnes' personality in the outside world.
Empathy: Vidal demonstrated the power to mentally interact with other living beings' emotions. Vidal was able to understand the true reason behind Agatha Harkness's evil, as well as detect the hostile, dangerous and brutal intentions of Salem's Seven.
Psychic Shield: Vidal demonstrates great resistance to psychic powers, so abilities such as telepathy, mental manipulation, etc. are not fully efficient. Thanks to this, Vidal was quickly able to perceive and overcome Vertigo's attemps to mind control her, despite having pretended to be controlled so she could later turn on her, as well as preventing her from seeing through her disguise.
Illusion Manipulation: Vidal can cast very life-like illusions, as she demonstrated by casting a very effective illusion on herself that was realistic enough to trick an experienced witch like Agatha Harkness. She used this to enter the fake reality created by the Scarlet Witch's spell, being able to manipulate the illusions in a limited degree.
Elemental Manipulation: As the Green Witch, Vidal is connected to earth and nature along with its elements, giving her control over them.
Fire Manipulation: Vidal can create, shape and manipulate the element of fire. When taking Nicholas Scratch's soul to the afterlife, Vidal lit a torch with green fire so that she would be visible to him.
Plant Manipulation: Vidal can create, shape, and manipulate plants, mainly multicellular organisms, including wood, vines, plants, moss, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, roots, fruits and flowers. Vidal can create vines to snare her enemies, as she did to Agatha Harkness.
Reality Warping: As the Green Witch, Vidal has the ability to bend reality to her will in a similar way to the Scarlet Witch.
Magic Negation: As the Green Witch, Vidal has the ability to neutralize other forms of magic, she does this by forcing magic to operate within the limits of the natural order and laws of the universe, effectively neutralizing them completely, as according to Agatha Harkness, the essence of magic involves violating the laws of nature. Vidal was able to neutralize Vertigo's magic when fighting her, thous turning her powerless. Despite being able to directly negate the Scarlet Witch's spell, she just chosed to weaken it enough for Agatha to be able to become aware of the illusions and start to actively resist the mind control, this is shown when in other occasions Vidal was able to effortlessly negate the Scarlet Witch's spells.
Healing: As the Green Witch, Vidal has the ability to heal others wounds and illness. Vidal could have healed her son's illness but chose not to do it, as it would go against the "natural course of things".
Cosmic Empowerment: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal was imbued with a fraction of Death's cosmic power, amplifying her innate power and unlocking new abilities related to death, decay, the dead and the afterlife.
Death Embodiment: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal is the personification of death and decay within her domain, which is: All living beings born or raised within Earth's sphere of influence, literally and symbolically.
Longevity: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal had her aging totally interrupted, can live far beyond a normal human lifespan, having survived for more than 30,000 years.
Nigh-Invulnerability: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal has the cosmic protection of Death, allowing her to not suffer any kind of injury.
Afterlife Manipulation: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal have absolute power and authority over the afterlife planes destined for all sapient beings within her domain.
Afterlife Transport: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal has the duty of guiding and transporting the souls of the dead from the physical plane to the afterlife.
Space-Time Manipulation: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal can manipulate, bend, distort, control, and fold the space-time continuum within her domain. Usually, Vidal uses it to stop time while reaping and guiding the souls of the dead to the afterlife, and to those observing outside, it seems like as it happened in a fraction of seconds, no matter how much time it actually took.
Soul Manipulation: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal can manipulate souls and use it to various purposes.
Resurrection: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal can return beings from the dead, though she rarely does so, as it would disturb the natural order she oversees. Vidal was able to restore Lilia Calderu back from the dead at Jennifer Kale's request.
Cosmic Awareness: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal can perceive cosmic changes and anomalies, such as the presence of interdimensional beings or ruptures in space-time that could threaten the planet.
Necroscience: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal has a great knowledge, knowing all that has, would and will happen, specially when it comes to near-death and death experiences.
Death Sense: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal can sense the coming of death, determining when someone is dead or dying or if others have died in a specific location.
Necropresence: As the Reaper of Earth, Vidal can manifest herself anywhere at any point in space and time, primarily when Earth-origin being has died or anywhere their death is a possibility, regardless of if it is or not on Earth.

Monk: Warrior of the Elements (Formerly way of the Four Elements) (5.5e)
Warriors of the Elements tap into the power of the Elemental Planes. Harnessing their supernatural focus, these Monks momentarily tame the energy of the Elemental Chaos to empower themselves in and out of battle.
Level 3 Elemental Attunement: At the start of your turn, you can expend 1 Focus Point to imbue yourself with elemental energy. The energy lasts for 10 minutes or until you are Incapacitated. You gain the following benefits while this feature is active.
Reach: When you make an Unarmed Strike, your reach is 10 feet greater than normal, as elemental energy extends from you.
Elemental Strikes: Whenever you hit with your Unarmed Strike, you can cause it to deal your choice of Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder damage rather than its normal damage type. When you deal one of these types with it, you can also force the target to make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, you can move the target up to 10 feet toward or away from you, as elemental energy swirls around it.
Level 3 Manipulate Elements: You know the spell Elementalism. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for it. (Spell is described at the end)
Level 6 Elemental Burst: As a Magic action, you can expend 2 Focus Points to cause elemental energy to burst in a 20-foot-radius Sphere centered on a point within 120 feet of yourself. Choose a damage type: Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder.
Each creature in the Sphere must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes damage of the chosen type equal to three rolls of your Martial Arts die. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage.
Level 11 Stride of the Elements: While Elemental Attunement is active, you also have a Fly Speed and a Swim Speed equal to your Speed.
Level 17 Elemental Epitome: While Elemental Attunement is active, you also gain the following benefits.
Damage Resistance: You gain Resistance to one of the following damage types of your choice: Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder. At the start of each of your turns, you can change this choice.
Destructive Stride: When you use Step of the Wind, your Speed increases by 20 feet until the end of the turn. For that duration, any creature of your choice takes damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die when you enter a space within 5 feet of it. The damage type is your choice of Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder. A creature can take this damage only once per turn.
Empowered Strikes: Once on each of your turns, you can deal extra damage to a target equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die when you hit it with an Unarmed Strike. The extra damage is the same type dealt by that strike.
Elementalism is a Transmutation Cantrip for Druid Sorcerer and Wizard. Casting Time is 1 action Range is 30 feet Requires a Verbal and Somatic Component and Duration is Instantaneous.
You exert control over the elements, creating one of the following effects within range.
Beckon Air: You create a breeze strong enough to ripple cloth, stir dust, rustle leaves, and close open doors and shutters, all in a 5-foot Cube. Doors and shutters being held open by someone or something aren’t affected.
Beckon Earth: You create a thin shroud of dust or sand that covers surfaces in a 5-foot-square area, or you cause a single word to appear in your handwriting in a patch of dirt or sand.
Beckon Fire: You create a thin cloud of harmless embers and colored, scented smoke in a 5-foot Cube. You choose the color and scent, and the embers can light candles, torches, or lamps in that area. The smoke’s scent lingers for 1 minute.
Beckon Water: You create a spray of cool mist that lightly dampens creatures and objects in a 5-foot Cube. Alternatively, you create 1 cup of clean water either in an open container or on a surface, and the water evaporates in 1 minute.
Sculpt Element: You cause dirt, sand, fire, smoke, mist, or water that can fit in a 1-foot Cube to assume a crude shape (such as that of a creature) for 1 hour.

In the distant future, the universe is divided into sectors governed by the Conclave of Sorcerers, each one overseen by a master practitioner of the mystic arts. In Sector Nine, High Sorceress Valeria, with her ability to manipulate dimensional energies, stands as the protector and guardian. Her most recent challenge emerges when a mysterious cosmic anomaly threatens to destabilize reality itself.
Edward D. Easton, a renowned scientist specializing in quantum mechanics and dimensional theory, stumbles upon an ancient artifact emitting strange, pulsating energies. Unaware of its true nature, he inadvertently triggers a sequence that amplifies the anomaly's effect, causing disruptions across multiple dimensions.
As reality begins to unravel, Valeria senses the disturbances and traces their source back to Easton. Realizing the potential for catastrophe, she seeks him out, finding him bewildered by the chaos unleashed by his discovery. Together, they decipher the artifact's ancient inscriptions, which hint at a forgotten civilization adept in both science and magic, whose technology could either seal the rifts or expand them irreparably.
Their quest leads them to the lost archives of the Arak Horizon, a space station abandoned on the edge of a collapsing star. Inside, they face trials that test their combined skills of magic and logic, pushing both Valeria's mystical abilities and Easton's scientific knowledge to their limits.
As they journey deeper into the Horizon, they uncover a plot by a faction within the Conclave that seeks to harness the artifact's power for their own nefarious purposes. Valeria and Easton must navigate the treacherous political waters of the Conclave, outwit their adversaries, and repair the fabric of reality before it fractures beyond repair.
In a climactic confrontation, Valeria uses the artifact, channelling her immense powers through it while Easton calibrates the device's quantum frequencies. Together, they restore balance to the universe, sealing the rifts. The ordeal not only forges a deep bond between the sorceress and the scientist but also reshapes the understanding of magic and science as interconnected forces.
Their success leads to the formation of a new division within the Conclave, dedicated to the exploration and integration of ancient technologies and mystic arts, with Valeria and Easton at its helm. Together, they embark on new adventures, guarding the delicate balance of the universe, now more aware of the thin line between chaos and order.

On the planet Sonic and co. inhabit, there are two primary sources of energy: Life & Chaos.
Life Energy is the heartbeat of their world — the source of all, one that can be found in every living being (both flora and fauna). It’s the very essence of the planet itself, comparable to aether or the lifestream in Final Fantasy. Naturally occuring, vital, and poisonous in excess.* ①
While Life Energy is more something you feel rather than see, it has some instances of manifestation: the aurora borealis, bioluminescent waters, and light rays being some. With the correct technology, this energy can be condescended into a physical form, which is the green liquid seen in Lost World. Despite it’s volatile nature in this state, it can be used to power machines, tech, and even people — at a cost.
The most well-documented examples of physical manifestation of Life Energy are the Chaos Emeralds: the result of energy coagulating over many, many years. While it’s been theorized that there may have been more emeralds in early history, there are now only seven, not including the Master Emerald. As for why the planet stopped producing them, no one knows.
The deities of their world, Dark* ② and Light Gaia, are made of Life Energy.
This is why Chip’s powers, such as the protective shield around Sonic, and Dark Gaia’s blood, are all green.
After the Time of Awakening comes to a close, the two rejoin at the world’s core and become whole again — Gaia, a singular entity: their Planet Egg.
During the very first sundering of the planet, the Chaos Emeralds were thrown into the cosmos as the earth cracked apart. They drifted into space, lost for a millenia, before falling into the hands of The Ancients. The emeralds were a great boon to them, and through their studies, became the first to utilize Chaos Energy to power their technology.
Chaos Energy is the magic force of Life Energy. It’s mystical and difficult to predict; thoughts to will, energy to power — “power enriched by the heart.” Because the Chaos Emeralds are a direct result of the planet, inside them, they carry it’s memories. These are traces of endless history and information, constantly flowing and rearranging; the very thing that inspired the Ancients to create Cyberspace. This knowledge not only connects the user to the emerald, but allows them to tap into it’s power.
While everyone on their planet is made up of Life Energy, not all can use the emeralds to harness Chaos Energy. Only those with a strong chaos affinity (chaos sensitive?) can. Sonic, as an example, was able to teleport with the fake emerald* ③ in Sonic Adventure 2 thanks to his chaos affinity. Like any other magic, this is a skill that can be practiced… if you have an emerald. * ④
Because Chaos Energy is magic influenced by the user’s emotions, there are three types: Negative, Neutral, and Positive. All have different outcomes, ergo, different kinds of powers. While anyone with a chaos affinity can use all three, some may lean closer to one side than the other.
After the remaining Ancients migrated to Angel Island, they were around for the next Time of Awakening and aided Light Gaia in it’s quest to fix the planet. They wrote the Gaia Manuscripts, and built the world’s first Gaia Temples; buildings based on their own, past experiences harnassing the emeralds’ power.
As thanks for their help, Light Gaia revealed the true nature of the Master Emerald; a host. Directly linked with Gaia inside the planet’s core, it’s vaguely sentient, and the most powerful gem on Earth — even surpassing that of the Chaos Emeralds with it’s ability to perform incredible miracles, such a warping reality itself, or raising an entire island into the sky.
①. Chaos Radiation is what happens when you get too much of a good thing. In excess, both Life and Chaos Energy can make you quite sick. What starts off as nausea and unease can eventually lead to full cell degradation. Fortunately, the latter takes some time… like, a few thousand years kind of time. Unless you're playing god or very unlucky lol.
②. Dark Gaia Energy is not a seperate source of energy, but is actually Negative Chaos Energy.
③. Fake emeralds are similar to Chaos Drives. Condensed. Chaos emeralds are the natural version, and chaos drives/fake emeralds are the man-made option.
④. In the case of Shadow, he does not need an emerald to access basic Chaos Energy due to the nature of his creation. Gerald’s use of Chaos Drives gave Shadow a natural reservoir of Chaos Energy — basically, making him his own Chaos Drive. An emerald makes it so he can use stronger abilities.

WHAT IS THE MOST KNOWN MYTH
I'm gonna kiss you hard on the mouth thank you for the ask
OKAY most known myth in Felidæ (country that the first two books focuses on) would probably be the story of the first Enchantress- at least the watered down version taught to children to encourage them to worship the Enchantress and monarchy as one. In Araness (location of the 3rd book and country where Alex's mother is from and where their sister lived prior to the events of book 1) it would be the story of Melusine, the water goddess they worship with the highest divinity besides the Creator.
The myth of the Enchantress (watered down version) goes as such: when the wasteland of eastern Felidæ first began to deteriorate into what it was, small villages that used to farm the land were the first to succumb to famine and disease. As the Disease spread across the land, the people of Felidæ began to panic. They searched for any way to cut themselves off from the "infected" land, but nothing could stop it from spreading. After a couple years of this, a young girl of the age of 13 came to visit. She was a scholar from Araness, who had spent her childhood learning to harness magic. Her magic was wild and unruly, much like the power of the goddess Melusine. She had come to Felidæ in hopes to find something to help her harness it. While she was traveling by caravan to the furthest surviving eastern city, Tabithia, she was thrown into the wilderness by a storm caused by the ever-expanding disease, along with the other cargo it had been pulling. Hidden in that cargo had been a kitten, shivering and crying for help. She felt sympathy for the kitten and carried it with her as she followed the road to Tabithia on foot. Just as she reached the outskirts of the city, the storm started to get worse. Sand and flames and pathogens swirled in the air, raging towards the helpless city. The kitten was torn from the girl into the storm and she ran after it. She instinctively used her magic to protect the cat, and the sheer force of the spell she used seeped into the very spirit of the land, quieting the anger of the spirits who had caused the Disease and all that came with it. The citizens of Tabithia had seen what happened and brought the girl and her kitten to the King, saying she needed to be recognized for her heroic deeds. The King agreed and offered her a position as his advisor, thus creating the position of Enchantress. Ever since the Enchantress has been the main advisor to the crown in honor of the girl who saved Felidæ from destruction.
The story of Melusine is my favorite. When the world was first created, the Creator had meant for it to be a haven of her own, away from the chaos of her family of Gods. She'd made it the perfect paradise for herself, with huge open space and no one she had to share it with. However, she soon find herself becoming lonely. She had trapped herself in a prison without the ones she loved, somewhere nothing could ever reach her. She shed a tear, and when that tear hit the earth of the planet, the first ocean was created. Water rushed around the earth, and infused with the essence of the Creator, life sprang in its wake. Beautiful, luscious plants grew where water touched the earth, and animals formed of the salt in the water. The final thing water created as it rushed around the rocky planet was a waterfall. The water rushed into a pool, crystal clear and reflective. In that reflection a Goddess was born. The first Goddess and daughter of the Creator, the water spirit, Melusine. Melusine, being born of sadness, was a lonesome and depressed spirit. Even though all creatures were made of her waters, they all returned to such when they died. This saddened the Goddess. So she roams the earth, sobbing at the thought that even though she was the harbinger of the beginning of all life, she was doomed to be their end as well.

On this most Star Wars of days, I feel compelled to disgorge my Jedi Thoughts, which have been building inside of me for a couple of years now, ever since I rewatched the whole series.
Now, all this is, I believe, explicitly anti-canonical. From what I understand, the history of the Jedi is pretty thoroughly explored and explained in various bits of current canon, and none of it looks like this, but this is my an extrapolation based on back-engineering what is presented in the core films, which I find very compelling. So:
THE FORCE: First up, my idea of the force. I personally see it as a flow of energy, constantly in motion. A river made up from billions interconnected currents of change and destiny. This flow is about both life and death, pain and joy, and too much of one without the other will cause the flow to stagnate. It has no actual moral core, and resists both the shackles of an oppressive dystopia, but also the crystalline stillness of a utopia. It is strongest in places like Endor or Tatooine, where life is hard and somewhat lawless, and is, in many ways, an anarchistic force that resists rigid order.
LIGHT SIDE/DARK SIDE: I see the light/dark side dichotomy as one that rests on how one uses the force. The light side is about moving with the force, following and channelling its flow, while the dark side is about harnessing it and making the force bend to your will. While there is technically nothing inherently evil about the dark side, violently making the very essence of life bend to your will is addictive, and obviously makes you far more comfortable with doing similar things to people. The light side is also more subtle, as in my interpretation of the Jedi mind trick, for instance, it is about guiding the force in someone towards a conclusion that they were already considering. The force choke, however, is always going to be dark side (even though it's actually no more harmful than chopping someone with a lightsaber) because the force is never naturally going to harm someone directly, so you are always wrenching it into a shape you want it.
EARLY JEDI: So, I don't see the force as having a conscious will, but it has a shape and a direction, and part of that is creating people to regulate itself. To deal with blockages or stagnation, and keep the force flowing. Like a massive magic pipe system instinctively birthing its own plumbers. This is what the early Jedi were. They almost certainly had basically no formal idea of their purpose, but would be guided by visions and the flow of the force, trusting that their path would lead them where they needed to be and surrendering themselves to it. I imagine a proto-Jedi as a vagabond figure of both hope and terror. If your planet is under a brutal fascist regime, one might turn up and fight their leader to the death, but a continent might burn in the process and they would do nothing to help rebuild in the ensuing chaos that followed. The flow of the Force, of life and death, was restored, and they were drifting onwards.
ATTACHMENTS: Now, a key part of fully surrendering yourself to the Force as the early Jedi would do is accepting death, including your own and that of those you care for. When the force moves towards your end you can have no hesitation in accepting it. Because of this, early Jedi avoided attachments as a natural extension of their actions and philosophy. A leaf cannot blow in the wind if it is still attached to the branch. Unfortunately in the later, more formal, Jedi order, this became codified into a forceable rejection of any feelings at all, as well as a contradiction, since you were meant to be part of the galactic community as (let’s be real) space cops, but also have no connection to it.
PADAWANS: One of the things about the Jedi order of the Republic that strikes me as a real holdover from the old ways is the padawan system. The one-on-one apprenticeship doesn't make much sense with the centralised temple and training school, but it makes absolute sense as part of the drifter Jedi way. You blow with the force, and when it guides a force-sensitive youth in your path, you take them with you. They leave their family (likely dead because the force be like that) and travel with you, learning the ways of a Jedi and eventually setting out on their own. Maybe when you die. And the cycle continues.
THE JEDI ORDER: Now, if you've been following my logic thus far, you can probably immediately see the original sin of the Jedi order that has an official role within the Galactic Republic. Not only do they ally themselves with a bureaucratic mega-government, but they begin to calcify and become static and stagnant. By the time of the prequels, they are actively gathering all the force-sensitive children in the galaxy to them as a matter of course. Now the rich, flowing tapestry of the force is all being deliberately directed through a single temple on Coruscant. The Jedi, who once worked to maintain the flow of the force and destroy what blocked it, have now become the biggest blockage there has ever been. And eventually the force does the only thing it can - it destroys them.
QUI-GON JINN: To my mind, Qui-Gon Jinn is the one Jedi from the Republic Era that is closest to the old ways. In fact, given that the council sees him as something of a radical, we might extrapolate he is one of the last proponents of it as a proper school of thought within the order. Watch how he interacts with people on Tatooine - he rarely pushes anything, always gently pressing to find out what direction the force wants him to go (I can't buy the hyperdrive? Ok, so what instead? Something to do with the boy? A pod race? Alright then.) Dude is constantly "Yes, and"ing the eternal flow of life energy. I guess my point is that he, like all the old Jedi, is basically an RPG PROTAGONIST!
Boom! That's my secret thesis! That the old Jedi operated like a fucking Fallout PC: constantly exploring dialogue trees and their locations, looking for the critical path the force (writer) has laid out for them. The force is, conveniently, also the flow of narrative.
Anyway, those are my thoughts on the force and the old Jedi. Thanks for reading this whole damn essay. I just really needed to get them out of my head.
BONUS THOUGHTS - DJ: Hey, remember Benicio Del Toro's character in The Last Jedi? I bet you didn't know his name was actually "DJ". Anyway, he is to my mind the closest we ever see to what an old Jedi might have looked like, which makes absolute sense in the Empire, where a powerful force sensitive might have grown up with no training or knowledge of what they were - just an instinctive sense of things working out when they "go with the flow". He wanders breezily through the world, always turning up at just the right time, holding no allegiance to anything or anyone, betraying his new friends when it seemed necessary in such a way that it (accidentally) leads to the resolution of several major storylines.
"They blow you up today, you blow them up tomorrow." (Finn) "You're wrong." "Maybe."
To me, this is such astounding force energy. I firmly believe DJ to be the most powerful Jedi that ever wasn't.

00. how it all began
Chapter Index & Synopsis
warning: will contain spoilers from the jjk manga and the latest mcu shows (particularly wandavision and loki, as well as doctor strange in the multiverse of madness). once again, this will contain heavy spoilers—you have been warned. otherwise, enjoy you meeting and babying lil' yuuji! also, you'll be addressed as "wanda" and "wanda maximoff" for the first scene; you'll know why later. 😉
[EDIT] 6/17/2022, 6:11AM: Edited a few parts at the beginning after the events of Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness!

"... I have nothing left here."
That was what you'd told Stephen and Loki after you three finished restoring the Sacred Timeline and putting back He Who Remains back in his rightful place (which was overseeing the Time Variance Association).
Reversing the many multiversal rifts was no easy feat—the three of you had to traverse countless universes (that was not an exaggeration, I tell you) because of the infinite branches that had split off due to Sylvie's actions. There were also a number of multiversal incursions as a result of... well, what happened to you with the Darkhold along with everything else with Sylvie. To protect the Multiverse, you, the Master of the Mystic Arts, and the God of Mischief had gone through infinite dimensions in space and time, harnessing your still-growing powers and new magical knowledge in fighting demonic hordes, nightmarish monsters, and evil variants of yourselves, while at the same time evading the terrifying Kang the Conqueror(s) and other dangerous enemies.
Needless to say, you needed a vacation and some therapy. Strange had disclosed that although only a second had passed in the original timeline, your traveling adventures throughout the multiverse and its infinite dimensions were equal to millennia worth of time (how crazy was that). God, you felt as ancient as the Ancient One now. Being constantly in on-and-off, piled-up grief must have stressed you out too much.
"Where will you go, Wanda?" Stephen inquired, allowing the bright golden portal to the New York Sanctum to close. You sat on the huge staircase in the center of the main room, resting your elbows on your bent knees.
"... I've got a few ideas," you muttered. "To run away and isolate myself again, find peace, and live out the rest of my miserable life 'til the day I die. What I did to Westview... to you and that child, America... my happier self and her children... plus those from that other world's Illuminati..." You felt disgusted with yourself as you recalled your actions. You couldn't bear to look at your companions in the eye as you sighed. "It's unforgivable. And I am a monster now after everything, aren't I?"
The two male sorcerers frowned at your response. "Wanda..." Stephen trailed off.
"Hey." Loki sat beside you, patting your shoulder. He was very different from how Thor used to describe him to you in your time in the Avengers (probably because he wasn't the Loki that died from Thanos snapping his neck). This Loki was... nicer and more mature; far less of an evil subjugator than how you thought he would be. Still a killer, but... better? He was very paranoid when you and Strange first met him, given how his significant other female variant Sylvie had unleashed chaos, but now he seemed calmer. And he'd told you about how he'd lost (or would lose) his mother, too.
The two of you bonded over that.
"A suggestion, sorcerer to sorcerer and Nexus being to Nexus being? And, uh... ex-murderer to uh, ex-murderer? If that helps?" Loki offered. You nodded, somewhat chuckling at that last remark. The Asgardian god grinned. "Go to one of those universes that don't have the Time Variance Association in them. And live freely, being good, this time."
It was weird to hear that from the God of Mischief (out of all people), but you smiled. "I'll be good this time, I just... need to sort myself out, first." You turned to Dr. Strange, who had been watching you two closely. "I'm... sorry. Really, really sorry. For all the trouble and pain I've caused... especially to you, Stephen. I know it's not an excuse, but I just wanted them back. Every single one of them. Even just one of them. But I know now that I can't and probably never will."
The former neurosurgeon sighed, knowing who you were referring to. He sat down beside you and Loki. Anyone could tell that being the Sorcerer Supreme was exhausting, even if he just recently got promoted to that title. "You had your reasons, Wanda. I cannot blame you for your grief. I may not agree with some of the things you've done, but I can understand why you did it. And the Darkhold was corrupting you, too, so the blame isn't 100% on you. Loki and I can't defeat you, but we are glad that you joined our side in fixing this mess." He tilted his head. "I am curious, though, where do you plan on going after this?"
You waved your hand, allowing the magical crimson mist to show the men beside you images of galaxies, "Well, while we were traveling, I've found a few universes that actually don't have parallel versions of me or my family." You paused. "Actually, these universes don't have parallel versions of most people in this planet. At least, no variants of anyone we know, too. No Avengers. No Illuminati. No Doctor Strange or Loki. No Sorcerer Supreme. No Scarlet Witch. No Infinity Stones! Not even a Kang the Conqueror or a TVA!"
Loki and Stephen blinked owlishly at you. "... Well, that's new."
"One of those universes have man-eating giants, so I'm not going there," you muttered, scrolling through the galaxies like they were a shopping catalogue. "I checked another universe—apparently they have ninjas and aliens there. Still a no from me... there's also another universe with pirates, then another with grim reapers, then also a universe with more aliens, a dragon, and mystical orange balls that are like their Infinity Stones..."
The two sorcerers just stared at you as you rambled on.
"... Oh, there's also a universe with mages like us, but they have things called guilds and I'm not quite sure what to make of that. Even their continents are strange," you mumbled.
"You did your research." Loki leaned back, arms behind his head, impressed. "Well, are you going to go there, then? Since they've got magic?"
You scrunched your nose up, "Hmm, no. Not there. I actually had my eye on this one—it's nearly exactly like ours in terms of technology, history, geography. Strangely no Sokovia or Wakanda, though, but that's okay. And it's in the 21st century, too... but like, 2012 or something! So I don't need to adjust too much with their timeline, thankfully. It seems so perfectly normal compared to the other universes. A great place to settle down in, right?"
"Riiiiight... a place where it's 2012 all over again..." Loki drawled, raising a brow at you (the year was significant to him after all—ahem, New York, ahem—it seemed like a lifetime ago). Then, he shrugged. "Well, as long as you're finally happy and knowing what we've been through—what we've all been through—I'm not opposed to you getting your peace."
For once, you were optimistic in your life. Retirement sounded like an awesome idea!
"Uh," the Master of the Mystic Arts cleared his throat. "Just please promise me that you won't create another Westview Anomaly or another Multiverse of Madness."
You nodded, complying to his terms and conditions, "Okay. I promise."
"And if possible, you stay in that universe so we know where to find you." Stephen scratched his cheek. "Wanda, I know this is being demanding, but—"
Getting what he was implying, you stopped him with a raised hand and gave him a tired smile, "New Sorcerer Supreme duties. Yeah, I understand. I'm still a threat to your realm—"
"—No offense," he quickly supplied, almost guilty.
Shaking your head, you said, "None taken. Don't worry, I'll stay in that universe. You'll be able to contact me anytime if you need me... and hopefully only if very necessary. But I doubt another multiversal disturbance will come again in our time, not so soon after we fixed it."
"Only call in case of emergencies," Loki turned to Stephen. "Note that down."
The ex-doctor rolled his eyes, "Already did. Photographic memory, remember?"
The God of Mischief scoffed.
You grinned at their antics, "You know, I never thought I'd say this but I'll miss you two and our adventures together. It's been fun, fighting demons and nightmares and our eviler parallel selves while stabilizing the multiverse. I've learned a couple new tricks from you two."
"... Don't know if that's good or bad but you're welcome," Strange replied with the teeniest hint of a nostalgic smile.
"Enjoy your retirement, Wanda," Loki bid you goodbye. "I still hope that one day this magic trio shall reunite once more to destroy the forces of darkness."
"Do you need anything before you go?" Dr. Strange asked. You hummed, pondering.
"... Got any suggestions for a new name for my new life?"
Loki and Dr. Strange shared a look before Strange spoke, "Depends on where you're going and who you want to be."
ᗢ▪︎ᗢ
And that was how you ended up becoming Y/N L/N (first name courtesy of Loki and surname courtesy of Stephen), a retired sixty-to-seventy-something-year-old shopowner in the Tokyo of a planet called Earth-JJK. Why was it called like that (and why was it still 2012)? You had no idea, but you didn't mind. After all, you'd gone to alternate realms in the multiverse wherein the dinosaurs still existed or when everything was just like Star Wars. Now, all you cared about was this world was a wonderful place to retire in and that it was perfectly normal compared to your home universe.
Here, there were no superheroes, no supervillains, no Infinity Stones, no Darkhold, and no alternate versions of the people you loved. Sure, Nicki Minaj still existed here blasting Starships on the radio while Psy's Gangnam Style played on repeat in nightclubs, but you didn't exactly see the Avengers fighting off aliens in Manhattan, did you? No Ultron. No Thanos. No extinction of half the universe.
So here you were with a fresh start, promising to—as muuuuch as possible—no longer use your magic in this perfectly normal world. Perfectly normal.
Or so you thought.
Turns out, this place wasn't so normal after all.
How'd you know? Well, it was kind of obvious when you started seeing weird little beasties everywhere. Sometimes, they were very tiny ones that were perched on people's bodies. The smallest creature you'd seen was the size of a ping-pong ball (it looked like a stick hanging on someone's back; you nearly mistook it for a weird keychain).
At least you hadn't seen anything equivalent to Lovecraftian eldritch horror or a demonic creature in the Dark Dimension. Yeah, like those you used when you were under the Darkhold's influence. Seriously, after summoning the huge Shuma-Gorath—who was all icky, slimy tentacles, prehistoric atrociousness, and disgusting dark energy—and battling the forbidding Chthon, you don't think anything would faze you anymore.
Certainly not the mediocre little monsters of this world. Anyhow, if they didn't bother you, you wouldn't bother them.
They never did.
To be honest, the subordinate bugaboos actually seemed scared of you (why else would they cower behind their human hosts or run back into their dark corners and alleys if you looked them in the eye). Well, as long as they didn't pester you, you'd leave them be. You didn't want anything to do with them.
But as a precaution and a contingency plan, you set up an invisible mini-Hex around your shop—complete with protective runes and a spell that would make anyone who entered the shop feel safe and relaxed. Wonderful for the atmosphere of the bakery-café you were investing on.
Aside from that? Everything seemed nice. It wasn't all bad being an old woman! You chose to reside in the Japan of this current world because it had the highest proportion of elderly citizens. It was very modern, too (although, not yet at the level of Stark's technology or Wakanda's advancements). Still, you loved how cultural and traditional it also was—only the heavens know how many pictures you'd taken while walking around. Your children, in that brief time during the Hex, had expressed their wishes to visit Japan and Korea back when they were still alive (you guessed it was from all those anime and Korean dramas they told you about).
In a way, by being here, you were somehow honoring your sons in their deaths (and at soooome point, you might also have gotten pulled into watching anime, Asian dramas, and lots of Asian variety shows in your frequent bouts of self-isolation). What? You were depressed and bored! If you weren't out causing chaos, you did try to do normal human things. One of them was crying over Asian dramas, especially those which were family-centered and melodramatic.
Moreover, mastering the languages were no problem to you (you did it in one week through astral projecting—you cheater). The humble bakery-café you conjured up was great, too. It didn't look out of place, and you personally made pretty damn good food from your days being a housewife (even if it was during your false reality).
Thus, for the next couple of months, you dived into learning how to manage your business and making it flourish.
All was good.

"Waaaaaah!" the ten-year-old gasped, exiting the bullet train while tugging his grandfather. "So this is Tokyo, grandpa? It's huuuuge!"
"Yes, Yuuji," he chuckled at the wonder in his grandson's eyes. "This is Tokyo. Come on, let's have a look around. What do you want for your birthday lunch?"
"Hmm..."
It was a fairly calm day in your shop today. Even rush hour wasn't such a rush! By 6PM, you were behind the counter reading a book about serial killers when the bell to the entrance door rang.
Chime!
You perked up and stood up from you seat, automatically giving the customer a warm smile. "Hello, welcome to Charmed Coffee & Confectionaries! How may I help you today?"
"Ah, good afternoon. Well..." the elderly man began hesitantly, looking through the selection of colorful treats on the display.
"I'd like a birthday cake!" a small voice declared from below you. Blinking, you moved your gaze down, seeing a head of... bright pink hair? Well, that was something you didn't see everyday. You knelt down at the grinning little boy, smiling.
For a moment, you could see your late son Tommy with how energetic he was. Tommy was always so hyperactive and impulsive when he was alive—being gifted with the power of super speed only exacerbated it (or was it the other way around?). Breaking the sound barrier was as easy as breathing for him!
"Hey, little guy," you greeted. The kid pouted (how adorable).
"I'm not little," he mumbled. "I'm ten years old now!" He cutely held up all his fingers to you.
You giggled, "Okay then, big guy. I'm Y/N, the owner of this shop. What's your name?"
The boy glanced at his grandfather, who only nodded at him and encouraged him to go on. The child turned back to you with a huge smile and held his short arm towards you, "I'm Yuuji. Itadori Yuuji!"
Mirroring his smile, you shook his hand firmly, surprised to feel that his grip was quite strong for someone so small. "Nice to meet you, Yuuji-kun! What would you like for today?"
He ran towards the glass display, in awe at all the pastries shown. "There's so many I can't choose!"
"He usually likes anything with rice toppings more than dessert," his grandfather cut in. "But Yuuji pulled me into this shop for some reason. It's the first time I've seen him so excited to see candy and baked goods."
"But grandpa, all of them look so good! I've never seen sweet stuff that look so nice!" Yuuji excitedly pointed at a yellow cupcake. "Look, jii-chan! It looks like popcorn! That's so coooool!"
"Oh, it does, actually!" Itadori Wasuke commented, squinting at the cupcake and looking at you. "You are very talented at your craft, Y/N-san."
You only bowed graciously, "Thank you, sir. I take much pride in it!"
"Ooooh, grandpa! Grandpa! Can we get that superhero cake? Pleaaaase?" Yuuji begged with wide, puppy-dog eyes. His grandfather (and you on the side) fell victim to it.
Wasuke sighed, taking out his wallet, "How much is it?"
You told him the price for the specially-designed cake (which clearly made him pale), but then you added, "Though, since it's Yuuji-kun's birthday, I can give a 50% discount! I just need some proof and you're good to go."
The promo was a blatant lie, but the pink-haired boy was just so cute you couldn't resist. Also, there was also something about him—his aura—that stood out to you. You couldn't put your finger on it, but you had a gut feeling this kid was special. Glancing at the chocolate superhero cake you made, you briefly remembered your years as an Avenger. Those were the days.
"Really!?" Wasuke and Yuuji exclaimed at the same time.
"Hear that, jii-chan? There's a discount because I'm the birthday boy!" Yuuji jumped around the shop. "Yay! Yay! Yay!"
Wasuke handed you the payment, thankful that his grandson's spirit wasn't broken because of the pricey cake.
"Just give me a few minutes to pack it up for you, alright?" you said to the duo, returning behind the counter to process the order then place the cake in your nice, custom-made packaging. When you were done, you gave the fancy black-and-red box to Yuuji.
"There you go, birthday boy!" you smiled, hands on your hips. "Enjoy!"
"Thanks, Y/N-san!" Yuuji peeked into the box.
"Thank you so much," Wasuke added, a hand on his happy grandson's shoulder. "Now we have to go, Yuuji. We can't miss the last train back to Sendai. We've spent too much time sightseeing here in Tokyo."
You blinked, "Oh, you two have come all the way here from Miyagi Prefecture?"
"Heh," Wasuke chuckled, ruffling Yuuji's hair. "My grandson here has been pestering me for months that he wanted this trip to be his birthday gift."
"Oh my! This is also your first time in Tokyo, then?" you asked Yuuji, who nodded quickly in response.
"Yup!"
Getting an idea, a smile crept up your lips again, "Well, why don't I make it more memorable for you then? You said you liked rice toppings, right?"
The moment you said that, a certain meal popped up in the child's head. Easily reading his mind, you placed your hands behind your back and discreetly used your magic to conjure up a rice bowl of pork cutlets—the very same katsudon he was thinking about just now. You revealed your hands and the paper cup you were now holding (the two people in front of you nearly had their eyes bulge out in shock).
"Holy crap..." Wasuke muttered.
The show only made Yuuji geek out even more, "Whoaaaaaaa! Whoa, whoa, whoa! How'd you do that?"
You winked, "Magic!"
Okay, you may have made a promise to not use your magic that much anymore but gosh, this kid just made you want to squish his chubby, baby fat cheeks.
"Oooooooooh!" Yuuji gasped as his granddad took the box of cake from him so that he could take the rice bowl from you. "Can we come back here again when we go to Tokyo, grandpa?"
"Sure, kid. But we gotta go now."
"Aww..."
You patted the boy's head, "Don't be sad, big guy. It's your birthday! I promise I'll show you more magic tricks when you come back, 'mkay? And maybe next time you can stay here longer in the shop to eat! I do serve actual meals aside from baked goodies here, after all."
"... Okay!" Yuuji nodded, the fire in his eyes returning. He smelled the aromatic rice bowl in his hands. "I can't wait to eat this!"
You saw the grandfather-son pair out of the shop, waving at them, "Have a nice day! And a safe trip!"
The ten-year-old waving at you made you melt. Although there wasn't a day you didn't think about your deceased family, seeing that pink-haired little boy made the memories you carried a little better.
Again, all was good.
ᗢ▪︎ᗢ
After that, Yuuji and his grandfather became very frequent customers of your bakery-café (well, as frequent as they could while being from another prefecture of Japan that was almost three hours away from Tokyo by train). Regardless, you looked forward to their bimonthly slash trimonthly visits to the shop.
With every visit, you made sure to show Yuuji a magic trick (the lil' guy really did think you were a magician before owning the shop—if only he knew) and that he would leave with a smile on his face.
For five years, you watched Yuuji grow from a babyfaced child to a muscular teenager who was even taller than you. You wondered if it would feel the same way if your sons also got the chance to grow up to that age. It's likely Billy and Tommy would have eventually towered over you, too.
God, did you miss your sons. Even after half a decade in this new universe, you don't think you got over the second time you had to let them go.
Today was another day at Charmed Coffee & Confectionaries. There were no customers in the bakery-café, so you spent your time cleaning around—sweeping the floors and wiping the tables. Right before closing time, the bell rung.
Chime!
You turned around, about to welcome the customer with your typical greeting, when you heard sniffling.
It was your favorite pink-haired boy.
"... Yuuji?" you asked, setting down the broom with a very concerned look on your aged face. "Hey, big guy, what's got you so blue? Why are you here so late?"
"I'm... s-sorry," he hiccupped, moving closer to you. "I... I d-didn't know... where e-else to go."
"Why? What's wrong, dearie? Are you hurt?" you almost interrogated, going into protective mom (grandma?) mode. Did someone lay a hand him? This kid looked like he could defend himself but if someone dared to hurt him, you wouldn't hesitate to magic them into a—
"Jii-chan... he... he..." Yuuji couldn't find the right words to say it. Gulping down the lump in his throat, he wiped the tears that were beginning to dribble down his cheeks.
"Hey, hey, shhhh," you assured the boy, allowing him to sit down on one of the chairs. You held his hand (he gripped it tighter; man, was this kid strong). "Take your time, Yuuji-kun. I'm here for you. Just try to breathe first, alright?"
The fourteen-almost-fifteen-year-old nodded fervently, "O-Okay."
"Follow after me, okay? Breathe in. Breathe out," you gently instructed. He followed, breathing deeply. "Inhale, exhale. There, there. You're doing great, hun."
Secretly using your magic, you made a glass of water appear out of nowhere and into your hands (Yuuji was too busy trying to blow his nose into a tissue). You handed the cup to him.
"T-Thanks, Y/N-san," he blubbered, quickly slugging down the ice cold liquid. How he didn't get brain freeze, you had no idea.
"Now, are you ready to share whatever's got you so glum?" you softly inquired. You could easily read his mind to know, but you had your boundaries when using that ability. Of course you wouldn't use it on a child who wasn't ready to share his personal feelings! "Do you want to talk about it, sweetie?"
"Y-Yeah," Yuuji sighed out, attempting to make himself calm down. "My grandpa... he's... t-the doctors say he's sick a-and that... and that it's terminal. They say... he's g-got only... maybe a couple m-months left... a-and I... I don't know—" He began sobbing again. Frowning, you moved your chair beside him and embraced the boy.
"Oh, dear." This was bad news.
It was in these moments that you wished you had your late husband's wisdom. Vision, although synthezoid and not exactly human, possessed such a great understanding of human emotions—perhaps far better than humans themselves. If you were chaos, he was order.
Funny how your robot soulmate was the most human person you ever knew. He had the mind of a philosopher, but also the heart of a saint.
Looking down at the crying boy in your arms, your heart clenched painfully. Now it was your time to impart some of the wisdom that Vision had handed down to you. And all that loss in your life must have prepared you for this exact moment.
"Yuuji," you started, stroking his soft hair. "Do you want me to talk or do you just want me to hold you?"
"H-Hold, please," he stuttered.
"Okay," you responded. The talk could come next time, then. "I'll hold you as long as you want."
You weren't sure how many minutes had passed—maybe an hour or so had passed—but when Yuuji stopped bawling, he finally told you what he was so sad about. "Do you think... I'll be okay alone?"
My, did your entire being just break at his words.
"Yuuji, sweetheart," you hugged him, wanting to give him all the warmth and support you could. "You're not alone."
"But... I don't have a dad... or a mom," he weakly protested. "And granddad's going to... to leave me, too. He... He's already in the hospital, so that means—"
You pulled back, your eyes mirroring his. What used to have so much innocence and happiness was filled with so much hopelessness and sorrow.
Just like how yours used to be right before the bombing of your civilian apartment in Sokovia.
At ten years old, you believed that it was all a bad dream and that like a sitcom, everything would have a happy ending. You were just a naïve little girl back then who didn't understand.
As much as you hated it, Yuuji, too, would have to mature too young so as to be able to deal with a parental loss as great as this.
This bundle of joy didn't deserve this pain.
"Yuuji, no. No. You're not alone. Don't you ever, ever think that," you chided as you shook your head, cupping his cheeks soothingly. "I know you may not feel that way right now, but you're not alone. Remember that. I'm sure you have friends back there in Sendai City. Your neighbors, too. You're a sweet boy, Yuuji-kun." You smiled at him, holding back your own tears. "And hey, I'm here for you. If you need anything, let me know and don't be shy to ask. I'm with you, alright, hun? Here, I'll even give you my personal phone number."
You rushed to the counter and scribbled down your contact details on a piece of old receipt before handing it to him.
"I'll come visit you and Wasuke-san soon, if you won't mind. Your grandpa isn't allergic to anything, is he? I'll bring flowers and baked goodies, too," you sincerely said to the seated young man, who was trying to not cry again at your kind gesture.
"T-Thank y-you," he sniveled.
You placed two firm hands on his shoulders. "Yuuji, listen to me. You're strong. So, so, very strong. I know you can get through this. But if it's getting too difficult, just know that I'm one call away. I want to help you in any way I can, you know that, right?"
Yuuji nodded, "Uh-huh."
"Good." You gave him another hug, patting his back. "Now what would you like to eat? Do you want a rice bowl?"
"But, I only have enough money for the train and—"
"It's on me, Yuuji-kun," you insisted. "I'm not taking no for an answer, dear. You're going to be full of food whether you like it or not the moment you leave my shop."
"... I'd..." Yuuji swallowed, drying his face. "... I'd like a gyudon... if it's not too much trouble..."
"Alright, coming right up!" The usual merry tone in your voice returned. "I'm giving you some marshmallow hot chocolate, too!"
Yuuji didn't tell you that from that point on, you had ultimately become the mother figure in his life. Who cares if you were like sixty or seventy-something? You were practically his mom now, always going out of her way to take care of him, making sure he was feeding himself and resting enough while also visiting his grandfather in Sugisawa Hospital. Hell, you were the first person he called when his grandfather passed away.
Little did he know that he wouldn't be the only person getting attached to you later on.
Especially not after he swallowed the finger of the King of Curses and changed his life forever.

Author's Note: Being someone who had to mature young to take care of her younger siblings when her parents weren't around, I already felt sorry for Yuuji in Episode 1. Man, his grandfather—his only caretaker—died when he was fifteen. Fifteen! Damn, I really want to give him a hug, the poor guy. And after what happened in the manga? I'm willing to take this boy on trip away from Shibuya! Even Japan! 🙇‍♀️😭
Anyways, hearts, comments, interactions, and constructive criticism are very much appreciated! If you wanna be tagged in the upcoming chapters, feel free to message me or comment. See you in the next chapter! 💗

Vilgefortz
Chest 1: Vilgefortz did not need absolute power to be corrupted absolutely. Indeed, the mere pursuit of such a thing was more than enough to warp him beyond redemption. For reasons unknown, and driven by an unwavering desire to achieve his soaring ambitions, Vilgefortz sought to elevate himself to a god-like status, and was utterly consumed by this vision. To do this, he was convinced that he needed the Elder Blood, which just so happened to flow through the veins of a certain ashen-haired Child Surprise. Unfortunately for the megalomaniacal mage, the descendant of Lara Dorren had an entourage of formidable and ruthlessly loyal allies, and Vilgefortz met his grim fate at the end of a witcher’s sword.
Chest 2: Vilgefortz had never truly felt empathy. To him, it was a concept as alien as the most distant stars in the night sky. He had, however, perceived it in others, and saw clearly its significance within a social context. Reflecting upon the importance of such a skill, he concluded it would be beneficial for him to harness the power of empathy, so he may use it to his advantage. Thus, he studied it, closely observing how compassion and sympathy were used to form relations, bolster friendships, and—most importantly to the mage—how they could be used to manipulate others. He mimicked what he saw, practiced his performance, and perfected his routine. Soon enough, he could maneuver the emotions of others as fluidly as he could wield a staff or shape the element of fire. As if simply pulling at the strings of a marionette, he turned his acquaintances into obedient puppets. Tethered to their master by an unwavering loyalty, many of his underlings were compelled to commit atrocious acts on Vilgefortz’s behalf, with some even willingly sacrificing themselves to further the mage’s cause.
Chest 3: During his long stint as a mercenary, Vilgefortz traveled to the far corners of the world, assimilating the ways of various cultures and mastering an array of exotic weaponry—including his favorite of all: the quarterstaff. A formidable fighter in his own right, the mercenary’s capabilities only flourished as he was indoctrinated in the ways of magic. Drawing upon the elemental planes, he would imbue his staff with the power of chaos. With a quick flick of the wrist, his weapon would hit with the full force of a battering ram, while remaining as light as a wisp of smoke. Moreover, he would use magic to achieve near-perfect precision and to hone his reflexes to split-second reactions. With this in mind, one should take pity upon all the fools who were unfortunate enough to challenge Vilgefortz in hand-to-hand combat, for the outcome of the bout would have surely been determined long before the first—and often last—blow of the mage’s staff landed.
Scroll 1: Vilgefortz of Roggeveen was an exceptionally powerful mage, a veteran of the Battle of Sodden Hill, and a member of the Chapter of Wizards—at least, until its dissolution in the bloody aftermath of the Thanedd Coup, of which he was a prime instigator.
Scroll 2: Strikingly handsome, devilishly intelligent, and skilled beyond his years, Vilgefortz commanded the admiration and respect of all those who knew him. It’s no surprise that many of his peers were envious of his fortunate position, yet, for him, these attributes were not nearly enough to sate his lofty aspirations. He wanted far, far more.
Scroll 3: Indeed, Vilgefortz was a vehemently ambitious man; his actions largely dictated by an unrelenting drive to become the most powerful being in the world—and perhaps across all space and time, if one could even fathom such an authority.
Scroll 4: In order to pursue this all-consuming desire, the mage made a pact with the Nilfgaardian Emperor, promptly betrayed his countrymen and kin, and slaughtered all those who dared halt his progress. Alas, Vilgefortz made one too many enemies on the path towards ultimate power and his past sins soon caught up with him.

CHAOS WALKING POSTER (revamped)
In a new universe that was never meant to harness Ripley Maximoff, she had learned from Agatha Harkness that she—along with her sister Wanda—are beings that are capable of Chaos Magic; a mythical power that was thought to be non-existent by even the Sorcerer Supreme himself. Trying to blend in to get some semblance of a normal life on Earth 19999 while figuring out a way back to her own timeline, the young woman learns of there having been a variant of Steve Rogers that passed the mantle of being Captain America to another. This is what ultimately sets Ripley on her course of partnering up with Sam Wilson and coming in contact with a familiar face that had belonged on her Earth of 616, exploring the extents of her limitless, godly-like cosmic abilities.
But when Doctor Strange uses his magic to manipulate time and space at will with a forbidden spell that is considered dangerous and incidentally opened the door to many dimensions, Ripley must help him restore a world where everything’s changing. Seeking help from ally Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, and Wanda, they learn that a terrible threat looms over humanity and the entire universe, and even more surprising, the greatest threat in the universe looks exactly like Doctor Strange . . .

Witcher reader x Loki
Part two
pt.1
Tumblr media
Through their bickering, it was decided to take shifts throughout the night to keep watch. Loki had the first night shift keeping guard as his oaf of a brother slept loudly. Loki poked at the fire with a stick as he frowned with an elbow on his knee, and chin in hand. The orange fiery glow on his face made (Name) wonder what was going on in the complex mind of his. She was on the ground by now but stayed in the shadows as she got closer, she noticed their clothing to be strange, they wore armor but did not look like knights. Loki stopped his poking, staying completely still as if listening and sensing her presence around them. He called forth “Who goes there?” The silence was all she gave him. She watched him more intently and was shocked to see a flash of green came from his hand and daggers now appeared in his hands as he turned towards her proximity. She tilted her head in the shadow watching as he came close, his daggers at the ready, her eyes snapped to the blonde male who was still loudly sleeping with his snoring drifting through the wind. “I said who goes there? Show yourself” Loki called with more authority Stepping out she held her hands up watching him with her golden eyes. The young man was shocked but regained composure and glared at her pointing one dagger in her face as he talked “Why are you lurking about in the shadows?” he glared “Just traveling past, thought you were Knights...clearly not” she lied “So you are...sorcerers?” “Only I…” he said with his guard up “and do not lie to me you quim” “Quim? I would watch your tongue boy” she growled “with an attitude like that I wouldn’t be surprised to see your body in the middle of a lake with your head on a spike” “Charmed” he hissed out behind clenched teeth. The two in a stare-off with burning glares. A few moments later Loki lowered his arm and squinted his eyes at her for a moment “You boys aren’t from here” she commented, staying near the bushes. Loki shrugged his shoulders before a quick side glance at his older brother. Turning his attention to her yet again he noticed her unusual appearance, despite her young figure her hair was as white as Odin’s, her eyes gold as the fire, her skin strikingly pale. (Name) cleared her throat getting the man’s attention “We are from distant lands… we are seeking a witch, known as the White Wolf of Riva” Loki spoke with a bothered sigh “Riva? That town is no longer around, it was burnt down to ruins” (Name) expressed “what you look for isn’t a witch but a Witcher, correct?” “Same differences” Loki glared “Nowhere near” she corrected him “witches are healers, typically wise women. A Witcher was once-normal humans who were mutated by a combination of science and magic, which made them mutants; they are able to take potions that are toxic for normal people, they heal fast, high endurance, stamina and much more” “I appreciate the lesson, however, I don’t have time for nonsense. Where do I find this Mutant?” “Why do you seek for a monster hunter?” she asked “None of your concern. Just tell me where this thing is” he growled out. (Name) could feel his frustration and reached for a dagger feeling chaos seep out of him. Loki glared at her action and used an energy blast at her hand dropping her dagger “Well I overstayed my welcome” she hissed “why do you need a monster hunter when you are more than capable of doing it yourself” Loki glared at her but held back as what she said caught him a little off guard. (Name) stayed put and watched him carefully “What do you mean by that?” he asked “You are something different… you harness so much chaos. You could easily get rid of whatever monster that is terrorizing your town… why need a witcher?” she asked “....My father- My king’s order was to find (Name), the White Wolf of Riva. The thing that is terrorizing our people is something of this world, Our magic does not have an effect on it” he explained before raising his dagger at her again with a glare “so let me say this again, darling. Where is (Name) the Witcher of Riva”
There was silence between the two as the chilling air bit at their skin. She smirked as she stared at the strange mage, it was only then when a laugh left her soft lips when Loki pieced together what was going on. A little annoyed by being outsmarted he lowered his dagger and bee-lined to his brother and rather forcefully kicked him, startling the blonde man awake as grabbed his hammer “What is it?” spoke the startled blonde “....I found the witch..er” Loki added with an annoyed frown. Thor saw the woman and gave a large smile as he approached her, this took her by surprise as he came up to her hugging her. She was frozen then sudden friendly and warm greeting feeling so alien to her left her paralyzed in his hold. This reaction did not go unnoticed by the god of mischief “By Odin’s beard! We have found you Lady (Name) of Rivia” beamed the blonde “I am Thor Odinson, son of the Alfather, Odin” “...” “We have come to retrieve you to Asgard to deal with a beastly creature, by the request of our father.” he put her down with his arm around her shoulder in a friendly manner “Alright brother take us home, Mother will be pleased we arrived early” Loki replied shortly with a no causing Thor to question his brother with slight annoyance in his tone “What do you mean, no?” “...I can’t-” Loki was interrupted “What on earth do you mean you can’t!” barked out Thor “Whatever your Father had done to get us here used my magic as a safe vessel to get us here unharmed. So I’m currently drained at the moment, if I take all three of us back now it would be suicide!” snapped the younger male “We have the best healers of all the nine realms, you’ll be fine Loki” Thor glared “I never took you as a coward” They glared at one another with such rage that made (Name) uncomfortable feeling the energy of chaos coming off of the two men but mostly coming out from Loki “And I never took you to be someone who wanted me dead so badly” Loki hissed out “Ok boys. Let’s all calm down” she said walking to the space between the two “If you are saying you are from another world that it would be best to give Loki time to regain strength to make the journey back. But I suggest we leave now. The woods are not a place to rest especially when winter is coming” “And the closest down?” Thor asked (Name) while packing things up and getting their horses ready “At least a day or two rides. Vizima, is the capital of Temeria. It sits picturesquely on the shore of Lake Vizima in the valley of the Ismena River.” (Name) explained “Told you” Loki muttered as he fixed up his horse which earned him a glare from his brother “I’m sorry to say lady (Name) but we do not have an extra horse. If you like you may travel with me on my horse” Thor spoke with a smile while Loki rolled his eyes “Charmed but no thank you, I have my own ride,” she said turning away “I’ll go with her...we can't afford losing her” Loki spoke as he followed (Name) which she didn't mind
