Sorry that gave me imagery of having to push someone’s eyeball to make them go to sleep
Well, it's an unconventional method but 100% effective if you push hard enough

twirls asks you about your cccc aus happily :D /nfta
gasp :D makes happy critter noises boy where do i begin agdfygddfbk I'll talk about the main three we're working on writing right now, and the two new music ones we're working on <mostly for art reasons>. We have many others <like Clone AU, DHARNTZ, etc> but probably wont talk abt those unless directly asked atp bcs not our main focus SORRY FOR THE RAMBLE but omg we love our aus and ahdijfghjf
The first 3 are fanfictions AND art, the last 2 are pretty much just art unless we get ideas for short fics
Snow White, Rose Red AU:
When Apollo was young, the Prince, his best friend was Artemis. They would play together and run around the castle. Heart was the son of one of the servants. Atlas, Apollo's older brother, acted as a "temporary King" and sent Heart away, for reasons Apollo was never explained or could understand. Years later/present, Apollo is the King. He's cold, calculated and closed off. He lets nobody in. Atlas functions by his side, his advisor. A letter arrives. Another Kingdom, Calamity, is declaring war. Once the two meet on the battlefield, who does Apollo see? But his long gone best friend, leading the rival army. That's all I'll sum up of that one, I don't want to spoil the entire fic! But! That's been our au precious baby brainchild for almost two years now <scary> It's very much a tragedy. We keep procrastinating drawing art for it, but I need a new piece to start so maybe I'll do this
The World I Built For You AU:
Heart and Soul? They don't listen to Mind. They certainly hear him, but do they take him seriously? Mind doesn't think so. Not enough, anyway. They don't give him attention. Heart's crying gets all of it. At least, that's how Mind feels. He sneaks into Soul's room one night and, after stealing the trident, captures Soul and Heart. He turns them into harddrives and plugs them into his computer. When the two wake up, they're in a flat, 3D video game world. Flat green grass, flat blue sky, and nothing around beyond the large window to Mind's bedroom <wreck-it-ralph style>. Overtime, Mind begins to add more things as he gets more merciful, notably the ice cream parlour - their first building. It's just as 2D and flat, but it has couches and ice cream. Though not real, it helps mentally. Maybe enough to try getting out.
Everlapping Subliminally AU:
Each time the loop repeats itself, Whole forgets the album that was made once they've moved on from it, memories completely wiping of the events of them. All he has is these weird CDs and LP's that keep showing up with his name on them, with songs he doesn't remember ever writing. They inspire him each time to write a new album, restarting the loops. And, once he finds himself coming to for his last song, when he goes to publish his albums, he realises how similar and weird they feel. But he doesn't know why. Never knowing why. But Soul knows. Soul knows exactly how many times they've done this. How many times he's been forced. to suffer. at the hands. of a merciless God he calls a Whole. He doesn't want them to repeat. And if his constant attempts at appeasing Harmonia have never worked, maybe he can force it. He knows Harmonia listens to the music. He knows it must mean he finds joy in it. He begins to leave subliminal messages in the songs, the records, for Whole. Messages to torment him. Haunt him. Make him STOP. Whole, of course, doesn't understand what's going on when he begins to have horrific nightmares and hallucinations of the version of him from the album covers.
Alternatively: The AU we want to use our painting skills to paint blank/scrap records and cds for
Tombsonas AU: <JashSonas AU?>
Inspired by The Living Tombstone. We created this literally a week ago, compared to these being 2 years, 1 year and 1 year respectively. So, there's not much The rundown, to quote the TLT wiki but inserted: JashSonas exist outside of time and space. They are unable to have free will as a result of experiencing time non-linearly, and rely on obtaining that ability through possession of a human host. This possession results in something that is neither two beings within one body nor is it one being taking the body of another: a fusion. Due to the fact JashSonas have no free will on their own, what makes a JashSona find a host is simply fate. Because of this, JashSonas have multiple hosts throughout time.
Oh, yeah, and they form a band.
Harmonia in this AU is very much inspired by Zero_One. He lives within the music, possessing a depressed human musician as a host. He's a singer/composer/producer. "What I Want" is a Whole song Soul's pretty inspired by Rust, possessing a mask instead of humans. Any tragedy/comedy mask can become Soul. Singer. Mind's inspired by Tesla, his host's find instructions on how to construct and create their transformation in a book. Any book can turn into it. He plays the bass. "Zero One" is a Mind song Heart...................................... imi working on it ahfdihfd. guitar tho
Ghost <Band> AU:
GHOST. GHOUUUULLLLLLLLL but them souls mask has 3 horns, Earth Ghoul minds has a gear-ish design around the horns, Water Ghoul hearts has heart-ish details around the horns, Air Ghoul Papa Nia the true fire ghoul was the darrel we made along the way
sorry for the ramble but houadfhiadsh yeah
if you wanna ask any follow-ups about either of them, fluttering eyelashes /silly

Stray speedrun tips/steps for the bigger areas
Just the minimum necessary steps to do in some of the more non-linear parts, where it’s easy to get overwhelmed. !THIS ASSUMES YOU HAVE ALREADY PLAYED THE GAME ONCE AND KNOW THE PLOT, BTW!
(Loading times and pausing doesn’t count, but the dialogue and unskippable cutscenes do (as well as restarting checkpoints). Spam the next/end buttons when you can and always run when possible)
When reaching the Slums and after talking to the guardian:
* You don’t need any cans, don’t waste time locating them.
* Go to the roof to locate the 3 Outsider apartments (where the notebooks are)
* On your way, startle the guys to drop the paint can on the ground. (you don’t need to pick the detergent yet, but you can do that now if you want)
* Hit the 3 apartments in whichever order...
- Clementine’s book is easiest, it’s just next to the computer.
- Doc’s (in the library) is in a safe hidden behind a stack of books that you jump on to topple over. The keys to the safe are close by with a note attached.
- Zbaltazar ’s apartment is reach from above, get on top it and disable the fan to drop down into it. The notebook is hidden in one of the box stacks, so just jump on them to knock them over and reveal it. Exit by scratching/pulling the curtain.
* Go up to Momo with all 3 notebooks to get the transceiver and progress straight away.
The Slums 2nd visit:
*Don’t run too far ahead when following Momo, he’ll pause his already slow walk if he can’t find you.
* In Seamus’ apartment give him Doc’s notebook (Momo just gave you).
* Locate the keypad hidden behind one of the small paintings reachable when on the counter. The code is always 2511.
* Jump onto highest shelf on the left and knock down the box to reveal the Broken Tracker.
* When you receive the tracker run outside to get the detergent (if you didn’t already) and trade it for the Cables.
* Give the Cables to Grandma to get the Poncho.
* Scratch on Elliot’s door to be let in and find him upstairs.
* Give him the Poncho and then the Tracker.
* Bring the Fixed Tracker back to Seamus in his apartment.
* Follow Seamus (again, don’t run too far ahead) to progress.
(The Antvillage doesn’t require sidequests except ascending to the top, speaking to Zbaltazar on the way.)
Midtown quests:
* Run straight to Clementine’s apartment, top floor.
* Show her the photo of her friends.
* Talk to her again (in the other room) to get a note for Blazer (guy with bomber jacket and gold chains)
* On your way back, knock the cameras down. All 3 are accessible from the same (middle) floor.
* Pickup the music tape from the now grateful dancers.
* Run to the bar and into the back room to knock the crate onto the sleeping worker.
* (while the worker takes his sweet time getting back to work) Run to the clothing store and insert the tape.
* Grab the vest while the owner is distracted.
* Run back to the worker waiting by the hat-store and jump in the box (and wait for the slacker to come carry you inside).
* Steal the hardhat in the window and open the latch to the side to escape.
* Run toward the NECO factory (check the road-sign logos if unsure of direction) to find Blazer (guy reading newspaper)
* Give him Clem’s note - then immediately vest and hardhat.
* Jump in box to eventually progress to factory area.
Factory atomic battery puzzle:
* Activate the moving desk and make it follow you toward the fenced off left area.
* Jump on it to reach the second robot desk thingy and activate it.
* Pull the lever to free you both.
* Guide the desks to the floor-buttons on the sides (leave the one closest to the exit free.
* Roll the barrel onto the final button and grab the battery.
Midtown (2nd visit)
* Run straight to Clem’s apartment (be careful of the drones now)
* Read her note to get a clue scavenger hunt:
- Interact with the lava lamp on the top shelf in the kitchen.
- Mannequin in the bathroom.
- Incense burner in the middle of living room.
- The purple crystal in the attic-space, accessed by pulling down a hanging cloth to access a drawer to jump onto.
(be careful when exiting the apartment, it is possible for the patrolling drone to see you through the window while still in the kitchen)
* Run into the alleyway to the right of the danceclub.
* Jump onto the far left dumpster and run right, past the joyful purple guy to reach a guy in a window.
* Talk to window-guy to be let in.
* Immediately grab yellow drink on the bar  in front of you.
* Give guy holding a lever the Drink to swap.
* Put lever on the contraption next to the DJ and use it.
* Immediately jump onto the now lowered platform and wait till it is raised again.
* Go to the right and push leftmost and rightmost buttons to make a walkway.
Minor tips for the Jail section:
Most of it is fairly straightforward, but frustrating because you have to wait a lot for Clementine’s slow-ass sneaking.
For the double sentinel trap part, I suggest having both doors open and wait just inside of the trap. Meow to get them alert (yellow) and then quickly run out though the other side and close that gate. Then run back and close the gate they entered through while they’re still investigating the noise source. (if you get them in the red and they chase you they’ll usually be too fast and escape before you can close the doors)
It’s tempting to rush this part, but trust me you’ll lose way more time by failing to do the perfect tokyo-cat-drift and repeatedly restarting.
Also note: Barrels are not you only hiding option; they can’t see you very well in the tall grass (but it won’t protect you from shots.
Final note: Don’t waste time trying to start the train before running all the way back and putting the battery in first.

-Mihoyo
That was the ending message. The last thing you'd ever see of the game. Billions around the world had scrambled to finish their playthroughs to watch the very last livestream Mihoyo would ever send- at least for Genshin Impact. Who knows what other games there would be. Like the new addition to Honkai Impact: Guardian Trail
The livestream was bittersweet. Every character was showcased. From all of Mondstat to all of Khaenri'ah, including every dead character being featured. All the voice actors had been gathered and gave their farewells, each leaving with a heartfelt message.
At the end of the livestream the devs of the game made an appearance.
"Due to popular demand, the game will still run after you finish but there will be no new content. Events will be rerun and no new world quests, hangouts or characters will occur. You can continue on your current account or have a fresh start. We thank you for play Genshin Impact. Goodbye Genshin Impact and goodbye Travelers."
And then it cut to black. One last Goodbye flashed on the screen before the stream died, leaving billions devastated yet content. I was among those billions. Years spent playing the game, investing in characters and equipment. And now we've reached the end. Lumine and Aether had finally been reunited and were headed to their next adventure.
I let out a sigh and leaned heavily against my chair, staring at the Goodbye and reading it over and over again until it didn't even look like a word anymore. I should get up soon. I had chores to do. I wasn't a teenager with no responsibility anymore. There were dishes that needed to be washed, clothes that needed to be cleaned. Just as I was about to get up from my desk a ding rang out from my computer.
I debated on if I should open it. If I did, who knows how long I'd push back being responsible. But if I didn't, the curiosity would eat me alive…
Against my better judgement I looked to see where the ding came from. After a bit of looking I came to the Genshin launcher, which showed a picture of the twins in a white flower field, waving goodbye to the camera with serene smiles on their faces. Though the image was obstructed with a window that said [Start over from the beginning?]
"Start over? Maybe Mihoyo thought some people would rather restart their account than make a new one? Maybe restarting gives some extra benefits?" I mused out loud as my mouse hovered over the [Accept] box. Right before I pressed it I glanced at the clock, seeing how late it was getting. "I'll restart and get started on those chores. I'll check it out when I'm done."
Little did I know, those would be the last words I said. At least in this timeline.
After I pressed [Accept] it felt like time stopped. Everything went still. The quiet buzzing of the AC stopped, the gentle squeaks of my guinea pigs ceased, the faint chatter from outside halted. Even the acanio upstairs stopped playing his music- it was impossible to get him to stop playing without a police visitation. I froze, unsure what to do before the world slowly started going black. I tried holding onto my consciousness but it was a futile effort.
The next time I opened my eyes something was different. No- even before my eyes opened I knew something was different. My bed was much more uncomfortable than it's ever been, it almost felt like back when I was a teenager and like hard mattresses. There were no stuffed animals smothering me and I swear I could feel a dog curled up next to me. Which should be impossible as the last time I had a dog was when I was a teenager. Which I am not.
When I opened my eyes I had to blink harder. I couldn't see any! The world was blurry and too out of focus. I haven't had to deal with this since I turned twenty three and got corrective eye surgery. Which was four years ago.
Was… was it all a dream? Were the last eleven years of my life… a dream? Everything I worked for? Everything I did? Did it not matter? Did I just imagine it? Did clicking that stupid accept button wake me up?
I rolled onto my back, disturbing the dog next to me, and covered my eyes with my arm, hiding the slowly building tears that had started to gather. "Fucking hell... I think I made a mistake." I whispered out, wincing at how high pitched my voice was. Would my voice become as deep as it was in my dream? Or would it get more annoying?
"(Y/N)! Wake up! Breakfast is ready!" I heard my mom yell from down the hall.
I slowly lowered my arm and let it rest over my stomach, staring up at the ceiling. Tears slowly clouded my vision, making my already blurry vision even worse. I wiped my eyes, hoping the unwanted liquid was the only reason I couldn't see. After trying to focus on seeing clearly I gave up, looking over to the messy blob or brown fur. "How long was I asleep Fox? It definitely felt like years. And I'm not even well rested."
The dog only rolled over, letting me pet her stomach. Despite not wanting to get out of bed I knew I had to get up at some point, least my mom comes in my room to drag me out herself. I wonder if anything from my dream will come true.

My Crash Bandicoot level editor
Here's a long post about a project that has been consuming my life for the last 4 years! A thing that will let you make custom levels in a Crash Bandicoot game! Let's see if it's worth Tumblring about!
Backstory: I love the Crash Bandicoot games, and the first in the series has always been my favourite game ever. In 2017 the original PS1 trilogy was remade and released on PS4 as the N Sane Trilogy and a year later it went multiplatform - including PC. I've never been a big fan of PC gaming and although I've always been a bit of a tinkerer I didn't have any serious experience with modding at that point. I had even less experience with coding (none). But the PC release of this remake came during an extremely rough period of my life. I had been searching for a while for some kind of distraction from the situation I was in, to help me get back on my feet. So I started to experiment with breaking the game in interesting ways and somehow became the N Sane Trilogy modding guy without really meaning to. And it did turn out to be a big part of my recovery too!
The first thing I figured out was custom music, and once I had the process down I wanted to automate it which lead to my first ever experience of writing "code" in the form of a .bat file. All it really did was insert a few bytes into the start of the right kind of MP3 to make it work in the game but until this point I didn't even know what a byte was so it felt like a major achievement to me.
Tumblr media
Not long after that, I worked out how to move objects around within levels. I wanted to try doing the same thing I'd done with the music by creating a tool that would make it easy for anyone to change the positions of things like crates and enemies. I never even considered trying to make a full blown level editor, having only just learned the basics of the Windows command line.
But my quest to avoid having to find a way to create some kind of GUI took me to some strange places. I got as far as having another .bat file that used the Windows debugger to hack into the game's memory while it was running so that you could actually see what objects you were moving where, when I decided that it was getting a little absurd and there was probably a better solution.
Tumblr media
Still not knowing what I was doing and just trying to find a simple way to display a set of points in 3D space, I ended up playing around with Unity. It took a lot of googling and trial and error but once I was able to turn a list of coordinates into a visual representation of how objects in a level file were laid out I decided I wasn't going to find anything easier. I didn't fancy trying to create the UI part of the editor from scratch within Unity though so I downloaded Visual Studio and cobbled together a Windows Forms application for the 3D view to live inside. As I was able to use C# (whatever that was?) for both components it seemed to me like a perfectly sensible thing to do.
Tumblr media
Hindsight tells me that this was just as ridiculous as the debugger version but it worked well enough initially that it's remained as the basis of my level editor ever since.
I did restart the whole project again after a few months of work on that version. As I spent more time on it I learned a lot more about how the game worked and once I properly understood how the level files were structured I had no real way to implement that with the code I had already written that was based on mostly guesswork. But by now there were a few more people taking an interest in modding the game and new tools like model converters were appearing. So I would have needed to start again anyway if I wanted to ever have something that actually looked like a level editor rather than a swarm of unidentifiable boxes floating around in an empty space, which was still the best I could do at that stage. So that's when I started on the current iteration.
Tumblr media
I've now been working on this version for about 3 and a half years. That may be longer than the N Sane Trilogy itself took to develop but it can do a lot more than just move objects around now. A couple of years ago I released an example custom level that I created entirely within the editor, a remake of the first level of a different Crash game:
youtube
I also put together some concept levels for an idea I had about a different approach you could take with a Crash Bandicoot remake:
youtube
These may give the impression that the level editor used to make them must have already been pretty complete by then but there is a reason why I haven't released or even made any more levels since those ones. The whole development process has been a lot of testing things under one narrow set of circumstances until they work, and then trying to generalise across the ~100 levels in the game. Or at least getting as close as possible before hardcoding in a few exceptions because of how much inconsistency there is in how the levels are put together. But it's only really in between each cycle of replacing that placeholder code that there emerges something that is slightly useable. So it's been a while.
Thankfully I am in the final stage of that now. For version 1 at least - some of what I'm doing now I'm already planning to undo later, because I'm still just aiming for something that works before I even start to worry about trying to make something that's good. I've given up on trying to find new ways to describe how much time I've spent on this. But you can hear me saying stuff like that, and get a better look at the history of this project, in the occasional update videos that I've made over the years.
Maybe I'll squeeze in a another video before it's done, or maybe I'll incorporate a brief progress update into some other more interesting video instead. But either way I'll probably Tumblr about it some more. So please feel free to use my ask page here if you have any questions or anything. I will try to be better at not ignoring them than I am with Twitter replies and YouTube comments! Maybe!
Tumblr media
PS if you want to get custom music in your game or you want to make simple custom levels or other mods you can do all of that with this other thing I made called Alchemist.

The Player looked at the screen, smiling ever so slightly. It was completely blank, save for the two white, pixelized words in the center.
“Connection Severed.”
At first, it was a relief to the Player. In the past few hours, they had gone through a lot of strange occurrences- the whole game seeming to be trying to convince them to keep playing or to do the opposite. And they had chosen the latter option.
But seeing those two words sparked a form of confusion in their minds.
They had just gone through the process that should have deleted their SAVE File. And they had went through them entirely- even accepting that it’d be permanent.
But then why didn’t it just say “File Deleted” or something like that..?
The Player stared at the screen some more, wondering what they had just done. If they had severed the connection, then that meant that their SOUL- which they used to control Kris, the ‘player character’ of the game- was no longer tied to Kris. The connection severed, as the game stated.
And if that was the case, then the Player would be fine with the choice. They had seen Kris’ actions… how they felt about the SOUL, and with it, the Player. So giving Kris the freedom, and untying the link between Kris and the Soul… was the least they could do.
But… what would happen after that..?
Kris no longer had a SOUL. They couldn’t SAVE or LOAD. They couldn’t make use of the DETERMINATION within it.
Their strings had been cut- but at what cost?
…no, they’d be fine. Kris was going to be able to handle it. Throughout everything, they were clearly able to handle their own decisions.
So why was the Player so concerned about them?
Maybe it was the uncertainty of not knowing what would happen next. Or maybe it was the curiosity of what they set in motion.
…Perhaps they could try and do something. Even if their choices didn’t matter, they could at least influence the right ones.
But without the connection, how would they do so..?
The Player minimized the window with the two simple words, before opening the inner files of the game. If they could somehow forge a different link in some form, maybe they could watch from a distance. But they wanted to avoid the link with Kris- after all, they were free now. That was to be left alone regardless.
But shockingly, there was very little to work with. There were no files of the game itself. Just basic programs for it to run.
This was… abnormal. Most games would have core files, sprites, music… something used in the game itself. But there was nothing here, save for the files that were made to run the window that was currently open.
As the Player rummaged through the files though, there were a few things that caught their eye. Files made to link the window with something else. The code was a bit more patchwork than they expected, but it clearly worked well enough.
Upon pulling it up in an editor, it was somewhat clearer how it worked. Firstly, the player would create a false avatar. Then they’d make choices, that would be soon thrown away. This would drill the mentality of ‘choices don’t matter’ into their head. And finally, the program would take the SOUL- which became linked via those choices- and insert it into Kris.
However, after the Player had completed those steps, the program had been discarded- as it became obsolete. And shockingly, the avatar that was created was still there, too. Discarded- but not deleted.
So the Player got to work. They adjusted the code ever so slightly, making it so that the avatar they created would be the target for the SOUL insertion, instead of Kris.
As they restarted the game window, they held their breath. This was going to be risky for sure- but it was their only shot. And it had to be taken.
And upon seeing the SAVE File screen once again, a sigh of relief was given. This was a good start. Maybe they could actually do this.
Well, until they realized that loading the SAVE File was pointless.
With SAVE 1 being tied to Kris, it registered as corrupted- meaning that they didn’t have access to it. So they’d have to load a backup file…
And while it was from a while earlier, it would do the job. So the Player highlighted SAVE File 2, and opened it up.
Perhaps taking a backseat for this wasn’t a bad thing. After all…
Their choices didn’t matter anyways.
…Right?
Well here we are again. I decided to pick up where Lynx left off, mostly out of boredom. But I just wanted to make my own take on where the story goes from were Lynx left off. Yes, I’m making some assumptions. No, this probably isn’t canon to Lynx’s ideas for the future of Paper Trail. No, I don’t know if I’ll use any of the Chapter 2 content. Aside from that, enjoy Part 1 of Paper Trail: Disconnected- my own take of what happened after the link was severed in the canon comic. Hopefully you all enjoy it! there's something essential about the experience of trying to return an internet modem, essential either as in some kind of essence or as in bbc essential mix, because i was listening to the 1997 mercury-prizewinning remix disc of roni size new forms. essential in the same sense as the maya deren quote about film being like walking down a corridor in a hotel and hearing a sound and opening a door and listening to someone playing an instrument, which began before you arrived and continued after you left ("changing, metamorphic, infinite"). i was walking down a corridor in a hotel -- because the fedex store is in the marriott, where i have to go to return the modem -- except the music stopped automatically every time i got out of my car, and continued where it had left off when i got back in, because this is a setting my car has, although curiously, not the lights
i had to drive in a circle around an immense, shining blue monolith, blinding in the sunlight, still wet from fresh rain, in order to figure out where to park, which was an underground complex that continued downwards for an unknown number of levels. i pressed the button to take a parking slip, parked, left the parking complex to go to the elevator to go up to the wrong marriott, left out the door at street level, past a garden that was immaculately maintained in a courtyard that contained nobody, and entered another marriott. the desk clerk said hello to me as i passed, got lost, turned back, who then had to type an impractical volume of characters into her computer terminal in order to sell a hotel guest a bag of peanut m&ms. i asked her if there was a fedex store in this building and she said it's in the third marriott on the second floor, and i could either exit at street level or go through their garage toward the blue wall. i picked the garage, being the less recently tried option and took a different elevator at the blue wall 30 feet from the first elevator
i went to the fedex store, immediately in front of the elevator on the second floor of the third marriott, and said "i need to return a modem, can you do that?" and she said "no, i can't" and i said "do you know who can?" and she said "ten miles south, along the old highway." and i went back to the elevator and down to the blue wall, got in my car to restart the music, drove in a circle in the parking complex to summon the exit, followed by somebody else, such that i was immediately boxed into the exit, cantilevered barrier zebra-striped in the colors of a bee in front of me and another car behind me, and while the tiny speaker housed within the mechanical parking slip control box emanated the faint voices and laughter characteristic of people who do not know their microphone is on, i tried to insert my parking slip, causing an "unable to read parking slip" error -- tried to insert my parking slip, tried to insert my parking slip, tried to insert my parking slip, optimistically pressed the button labeled "no receipt," tried to insert my parking slip, tried to insert my parking slip, turned the music off, pressed the button labeled "cancel' and the button with the phone icon labeled "need assistance," while the voices on the other end of the control box remained at the same barely-audible and incomprehensible level, considered whether the barrier would try to sting me or trample me if i drove through it, tried to insert my parking slip, tried to insert my parking slip -- and inexplicably succeeded. the car behind me said nothing, although both of our windows were down
i left the parking complex below the monolith considering whether i should drive down the old highway, given that on the way in, i had just seen someone run a red light and someone else drive the wrong way down a one-way street, wondered if the moon was full (it isn't, so there's no explanation for this kind of behavior), turned the music on again, and drove home with the modem unreturned

My Redragon Rudra (K565R) Full Size Mechanical Keyboard Review - Part 5 (Final) (Recorded Video, w/ my paper dolls) [Jan 26, 2022]
Hello. This is final part (Part 5) of my Redragon Rudra (K565R) Full Size Mechanical Keyboard 🔴🐲⌨️ review.⌨️😁 My first ever owned gaming mechanical keyboard!
For this part, I have my recorded video (via my Honor 8C phone) to watch & see what actual clicks from my Redragon Rudra’s OUTEMU blue switch, as well as some other features. So please, stick around until the end of my topic.
If you haven’t seen my two previous parts (No. 3 & 4), then I’ll some links down below.↓😉
• Part 3 (Jan 19, 2022) [CLICK ME!]
• Part 4 (Jan 19, 2022) [CLICK ME!]
*But before that, I want YOU… Yes, you, which you’re reading my description. I want you to watch my recorded video first 📹📲 (as an observation) before you read the rest of my reaction experience. Hope you’re watching…
So without further ado, let’s get started:
Video recorded 🎦📲:
• Here, I’m now connecting my recent used keyboard via USB type A through my computer. I’m actually connect with my UGREEN USB Extension Hub 3.0, which I’ll continue that very soon. And now my Redragon Mech Keyboard is all lit up from rainbow light keycaps. I have my mini microphone clipped on the right side to hear the clicking sounds of OUTEMU blue switch. Unfortunately it didn’t delivered, but you could still hear the click sounds. Sorry for the bit noisy background though.
BTW: That mini microphone was from my “lavalier microphone micro-cravate”. I’ll have my review about that, someday.
•Anyways, I’m pressing all the keycaps from this keyboard, and it functions well for the past weeks or so. Now, I’m turning off the lights to see the actual rainbow lights. Pretty cool, huh?
• In the mechanical keyboard world, they have “Fn” key(s) which is short for “Function” for customizing backlights to suit their gaming tastes or opening windows shortcuts for easier access than manually with the mouse. For instance, I’m now pressing “Fnn” + “Up or Down Arrow” keys for adjusting lights from light to low/turn off. And that’s one of the examples of using “FN” key. Another example here is I’m pressing “Fn” + “INS” (short for Insert) keys for different backlight, it’s now changed to breathing lights, and then I can adjust the speed/slow breathing by both pressing “Fn” + “Left or Right Arrow” keys at the same time before I pressed both “Fn” + “PGUP” (short for Page Up) keys to restart the backlight.
BTW: I didn’t mention that there’s also “Win/Lock Mode” for this particular Redragon Mech Keyboard (and like other mech keyboard brands). And what it does is disabling windows startup while playing games. It’s a cool feature to prevent accidental pressing startup key. And to be honest, I don’t usually lock the startup key during my gameplay, but it’s neat feature when I need it, nonetheless.
• Now onto different backlights, they are total of 10 backlight themes for this Redragon Rudra Mechanical Keyboard, two which are 2 DIY backlight themes by pressing (Fn+9/Fn+0) (that I need to figure it out), according to their Redragon’s official website. I’m now pressing “FN” + “INS” keys to see their different backlight themes, with more adjusting from arrow keys. And so far, the No. 7 is my favorite backlight theme, because when I press any keycaps it fades off & back again. The No. 4 setting on the other is the exact opposite.
• Finally, the multimedia function keys for Redragon Rudra. They have 11 multimedia keys from the top function keys. Some keys are quite useful for me, and some I don’t, but I’ll show ya. I’m pressing “Fn” + “F3” keys to open the calculator. Pressing “Fn” + “F1” keys to open “My Computer” or in Windows 10 called “This PC”. Pressing “Fn” + “F2” for search bar, whether you’re in internet browser (e.g. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc.) or from startup. And lastly, pressing “Fn” + “F4” keys for opening Windows 10’s Groove Music, which is essentially the new replacement for “Windows Media Player”. Strangely, (the old version of) “Windows Media Player” still lives in Windows 10, before it eventually brought back the aforementioned media player with the new look in Windows 11. Speaking of media players, here are seven remaining function keys (from F5 to F11): those are forward, backward, play/pause, stop & three volume adjustment keys respectively. Personally, I don’t usually playing music on windows media player/groove music (on Windows 10), nor watching videos on youtube with F5 to F8 keys, I only used F9 to F11 for adjusting volume or mute. The latter of which are demonstrating right now. Oddly enough, I used these volume adjustments during my playtime in GTA V Online. Don’t ask why.
• There’s also a driver software that I can customize the commands, mapping, adjusting backlights, etc. I’ve found the driver software from Redragon website from Thailand, and I downloaded. Unfortunately, when I installed on my computer, it won’t recognized my specific Redragon Mechanical Keyboard model. Man, what a bummer; but it doesn’t matter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1st & 2nd Image(s) ↑:
• My paper dolls say that it’s cool when turning off the lights, yeah indeed. So bright I could finally typing during dark place. Unless of course, I need another light to able see my desk.
Final Overall (w/ My Experience):
• For the past 4 weeks of using mechanical keyboard improves my gaming experience, and not just that, but also my typing skills. It so much better than ordinary membrane keyboard (that I’ve used to), for real. Although, with the OUTEMU blue switches built-in could be distract during nighttime, and as they said, OUTEMU blue switches are not suitable for working office when they carry. In my experience, they don’t bothered from me typing or playing. Other than that though, I’m enjoyed & satisfied with my new keyboard, and this could be my comparison for my next upcoming mechanical keyboard review, and see which is better than the other. No cons I could think of, because I’m a newbie for owning mechanical keyboards. I should learn more about mechanical keyboards, and who knows, I will do my first ever DIY mechanical keyboard, someday. But, that’s another story to tell.
Well, that’s the end of my topic.
If you haven’t seen my previous parts of the same topic as well as my previous keyboard review, then I’ll links down below.↓😉

5 Underrated Video Games
1. Night in the Woods
Tumblr media
Margaret "Mae" Borowski is a 20-year-old college dropout, who relocates back to her hometown of Possum Springs, which has been struck by the closure of the coal mines and the stagnating economy. She meets up with her old friends, including gloomy but intelligent Beatrice "Bea" Santello, hyperactive delinquent Greggory "Gregg" Lee, and Gregg's quiet, modest boyfriend Angus Delaney. Mae also learns that another one of her old friends, Casey Hartley, has mysteriously disappeared.
Mae spends several days exploring Possum Springs and spending time with her friends, but she also begins to have strange and vivid dreams. At the town's Halloween festival, Mae witnesses a teenager being kidnapped by a mysterious figure. The four friends begin working together to figure out what is going on, with Mae's mental health slowly deteriorating with every one of her dreams. After intensive searching, the four stumble across a strange group of cloaked figures in the woods, who chase after them; Mae ends up falling and lapses into a coma.
Mae eventually wakes up and returns to her friends, and she reveals that the reason she dropped out was due to her increasing dissociation from people and the world (it is implied that Mae suffers from some sort of depersonalization disorder), seeing everything as merely shapes. Mae's journal, in which she draws pictures for each major event in the game, was given to her by a doctor to write down her emotions after she bludgeoned a student with a softball bat six years ago as a result of a dissociative episode. Due to this incident, the townsfolk became wary of Mae and caused a financial and emotional strain in her family. As her dissociation worsened at college, Mae mustered up the strength to leave and return home, hoping that being back in Possum Springs would help her return to normal.
Still wounded, Mae decides to venture out into the woods alone to find the group who chased her and the others, only for Gregg, Bea, and Angus to refuse to let her go by herself. The group enter the old mines and meet the mysterious group, who are revealed to be a cult. The cult turns out to be behind the kidnappings of several residents, including Casey, taking those whom they deem useless to society and whom they say will "not be missed" into the mines to sacrifice them to a god-like chthonic entity called the Black Goat in hope that the Black Goat will revitalize the economy of Possum Springs. The cult's leader allows the group to leave, threatening them never to tell anyone about the cult – however while riding up the mine's elevator, a member of the group attempts to kill Mae. The others manage to save her and the elevator falls, collapsing the mine and presumably trapping the cult underground.
Depending on who the player interacted with the most throughout the course of the game, Mae will sit down with either Bea or Gregg and talk about the events of the previous night, and all the things that have happened in Possum Springs. The others join them shortly after, and Mae tells them that although they will all be forced to grow and adapt to life as it goes on for better and for worse, they can still enjoy their time together now. The game ends as the four decide to forget about their problems for the time being and have band practice.

2. Among the Sleep
Tumblr media
Among the Sleep is a first-person exploration game seen from the view of a toddler. The player can move the cursor to walk or crawl around, the latter of which is faster and is required to slide through obstacles blocking the way. Running is also an available option, though the player will fall down if it is done for too long. The player can interact with and push objects, and open doors and windows. Sometimes, the handle to open doors is too tall to reach for the player, in which case the player will have to push and climb chairs for additional height. Other than chairs, the player can climb boxes, tables, and various things to reach otherwise unreachable ledges and heights. Certain objects can also be held as well as thrown away. Others can be stored to the inventory and taken out again for later use.
For most of the game, the player is accompanied by a sentient teddy bear named Teddy, a birthday present from the toddler's father. The player can hug Teddy, who emits light that helps the player navigate through darker environments. The light will wear down after a while, but will recharge if left unused. If the player drops Teddy, which always happens whenever they arrive from sliding through pipes to a new level or environment, they will have to pick it up first before advancing again.
Throughout the game, the player is followed by two monsters: a feminine figure that haunts the first three levels, and a trench coat-wearing figure that haunts the final level. The monsters' appearance is indicated by the blurring of the vision, grating sounds, and in the case of the feminine figure, a slow lullaby (Trollmors Vuggesang), "Trollmother's Lullaby") hummed about. There is no way to fend off the monsters; if they appear, the player will have to run away or hide under tables or chairs until they go away. If the player is not quick enough to evade the monsters, a short cinematic will show the monsters taking hold of the player, which results in a game over, followed by a continue screen with a pacifier. Clicking the pacifier restarts the game from the last checkpoint. The player can also get a game over by other means, such as falling into water or chasms.
The game is largely linear and involves going from point A to B, though the expansive environment with multiple obstacles may induce the feeling of being lost. After some time exploring the player's house, the player is taken to a dreamlike location with a gingerbread house-like hut that serves as a sort of hub level. The house contains a circular door that leads to a new level, surrounded by four containers where "memories" obtained from each level are stored. After the player finds a memory and heads to a tube at the end of the level, they will be returned to this hut. Once four memories are stored, the player can insert Teddy's right hand below the circular door to return to the player's house.
In the extra DLC level, instead of exploring dreamlike locations, the player is taken to another house with the objective of finding and thawing five frozen dolls by playing music or turning on the TV. The gameplay is still the same, with the feminine figure haunting the player, but the player is also confronted by a fireplace monster in the underground section that advances and closes in through an aisle.

3. Rule of Rose
Tumblr media
Described as "essentially an interactive movie" by its director Shuji Ishikawa and associate producer Yuya Takayama, the narrative of Rule of Rose centers on the traumatic childhood memories of Jennifer, "an ordinary, vulnerable girl"; these memories sometimes manifest in exaggerated ways. Set in England, the game opens in 1930, as 19-year-old Jennifer is led to an abandoned orphanage by a boy. She follows him to a grave in the courtyard, where she digs up a coffin with a bloody sack inside it. Four children sneak up on her and pour water on her, before shoving her into the coffin. She awakens in a largely abandoned airship in flight to an unknown destination, ruled by a cruel group of young girls known as the Red Crayon Aristocrats, despite the presence of adults on board. Under the threat of death, Jennifer must appease the Aristocrats by bringing an offering for them each month. Assisting her is Brown, a dog she frees from confinement in the airship, and the chronically sickly Wendy, who is the only child to be friendly to her.
Jennifer eventually regains her memories of being cared for by the farmer Gregory Wilson, after she was orphaned in an unrelated airship crash. There, he was kind to her, though he confused her with his dead son Joshua, kept her prisoner, and periodically slid into melancholy alcoholism. Discovering her one day, Wendy began to exchange letters with Jennifer and eventually convinced her to escape, but not before Wendy stole his gun. The two then renewed their oath of "everlasting, true love," with Jennifer's stuffed bear exchanged for Wendy's brooch. Back on the airship, Jennifer ascends to becoming part of the Red Crayon Aristocrats, after retrieving the stuffed bear for the Princess of the Red Rose, the co-leader of the Aristocrats.
The game's setting then transitions to the now-inhabited orphanage. Bullied by the children, Jennifer is horrified to find that she has become the offering of the month; meeting up with Wendy in the courtyard, she loses Brown and later finds his corpse in the Aristocrats' meeting room, where he had been killed in her place. Wendy then reveals herself as the Princess of the Red Rose. Jennifer, now a child, slaps her and casts aside her brooch, hating the Aristocrats and herself for being too cowardly to oppose them. Afterward, the Aristocrats approach Jennifer, now an adult, in the hopes that she will replace Wendy as their leader, whom they have deposed. Wendy, however, retaliates against the children by mentally conditioning Gregory into assuming the persona of "Stray Dog," a dangerous creature she had invented to assume power over the other children. She then brings Gregory, as Stray Dog, to kill everyone in the orphanage. Only Jennifer escapes the onslaught. Before being killed off-screen, Wendy, now remorseful, confesses her role in it, which had been sparked by her jealousy over Brown. She then gives Jennifer Gregory's gun. Gregory then returns to kill Jennifer, and in a moment of lucidity, he asks "Joshua" to give him back the gun, which Jennifer does. He then kills himself.
Rule of Rose concludes with Jennifer, as a child, waking in the large empty orphanage and reflecting on the events and characters. Jennifer vows to remember the other children, especially because the media coverage of the children's deaths had diminished after it came to light that Jennifer had been the survivor of two horrific events, and meets with Wendy and Gregory. In the final scene, Jennifer visits Brown, now a puppy, in the shed and puts a collar on him. She completes a Bucket Knight nearby, symbolizing that she can always remember and return to her memories of Brown. Promising to protect him for eternity, she then closes the door on him.

4. Tattletail
Tumblr media
The game takes place in 1998 over the course of 5 nights, beginning on December 20th and ending on Christmas Day. The player wakes up on Night 1 to open their Christmas present early. The present is the new fad toy, a purple Baby Talking Tattletail (based on a Furby). After playing with the toy briefly (which involves feeding and grooming it), the player puts it back into its box and goes back to bed.
On Night 2, the player finds the same Tattletail in the tumble dryer, with no indication of how it got there. The player then charges it, wraps it back up into its box and goes back to bed.
On Night 3, the player encounters the contents of an old nursery in the basement. In the corner sits the now-recalled Mama Tattletail, along with a cassette tape which can be played using the toy. The tape contains a snippet from a story in a read-along style - including prompts to "turn the page" - about how "the children thought that Mama would never find them as long as she couldn't see them" but Mama would find them nevertheless. The player returns upstairs to find that Tattletail has made a mess. Tattletail asks to be taken to “Mama”. The player returns to the spot to find that Mama has disappeared. Mama Tattletail then starts to hunt down the player when they try to clean up after Tattletail.
On Night 4, after a lengthy hide-and-seek session with another Tattletail, the player finds a VHS tape that shows several interchangeable camera feeds from what seems to be a Tattletail commercial (which is actually footage from the trailer). After some time, some of the camera feeds' names turn red, the lighting changes from blue to green and trash bags and obscured parts of inanimate or writhing human bodies appear.
On Christmas Eve, Baby Talking Tattletail invites the player to the basement to join a "party" with a yellow and blue Baby Talking Tattletail, with two more that the player must fetch. After the player gets them, they must pick up their own Tattletail and get some supplies from upstairs. The player then finds out that the Talking Tattletails have made a pentagram out of the Christmas lights with the VHS tape in the middle, and have begun chanting in a seance. After rewinding the VHS tape, Mama appears and steals the candles and the player must find them in vases scattered around the basement while avoiding being attacked by Mama. Once the seance reaches its climax, the tape begins to levitate and the player must destroy it. The seance then ends and the player goes back to bed.

5. Duck Season
Tumblr media
Summer 1988 and your mom has just rented the coolest new game for your Kingbit Entertainment System. As you play over the course of the day it becomes apparent something is different about this game than the other games you own. Duck Season is a throwback to the golden age of 1980's gaming and movies with a hint of horror in a Spielburgian universe. Re-live a slice of childhood as you transported to an eerily familiar memory and play out the dark story that unfolds over a single day/night as your imagination takes over.

One More Stuffed Toy
Fandom: Thunderbirds Rating: Gen Genre: Family Characters: John, Alan, Scott, Gordon, Virgil
I managed another one!  Today’s #fluffember offering is for the third prompt ‘Together’, so of course we’ve got all five boys here!  (As a side note, FFN is still messing around with my fics, so I’m only going to be posting here and on AO3 until next weekend.  Maybe FFN will sort itself out by then).
The arcade is loud and chaotic, but John doesn’t care, because his brothers are with him.
The hustle and bustle should bother him.  An introvert who only ever wanted to socialise with his family when socialising was required “you can’t be a recluse forever, John!”, the complete and utter lack of silence surrounding him was as far from his comfort zone as he could be. Children shrieked, dodging around adults and immovable objects alike, while frantic parents chased them. Teenagers laughed too loudly, too freely, for the drinks in their hand to be anything but alcohol, and the young adults were worse – most likely because they didn’t have to hide what they were drinking.
Chocolate and candy was trodden into the carpet beneath his feet, discoloured patches also implying drink spills both from that day and many, many previous days, and the haze of smoke creeping in from the nearby window suggested a group of smokers and vapers had taken up residence too close to the building.  Security wouldn’t do anything about it; they never did.
Interspersed between children’s screams of joy and drunken rowdiness was the unmistakable clink, clink, clink of tokens slotting into machines and spilling out en masse to roars of delight.  Closer to his current position, the thud, thud-thud, thud of feet not quite in sync with the music that blared out of ancient machines and the thwack, thwack, thwack of hard plastic hitting hard plastic – interspersed with groans and cheers when it instead went clatter – assaulted his ears.
He should hate it. Too many bodies in one place; too much noise, no concept of personal space – it fit his personal brand of hell as if it was made for it.  Maybe it was. But those out of sync thud-thud-thud feet belonged to Alan and Scott, having some ridiculous dance off on a DDR machine that was held together with spit and a prayer at this point in its existence – he was sure it had been old when Grandma was young – and the thwack-thwack-clatter of a chipped puck on an air table that barely produced any air anymore was drawing noises of defeat and triumph from Virgil and Gordon.
The arcade was ancient, dating back at least a hundred years, but for all that it was run down and a hang out for truants and the like, it was fun.  John never visited by himself, the atmosphere really too hellish without the barriers of his brothers, but when the five of them wanted to get out of the house for a bit and just have some fun, he tagged along with no complaints.
He didn’t play on the DDR, not after falling over one time too many.  He didn’t play air hockey, either, after the puck kept hitting his fingers rather than the plastic lump it was supposed to.  The digital games had terrible graphics, not even holographic they were so old, which hurt his eyes, and everything else was too rigged, too noisy, too much of a waste of money to bother with.
The claw, though? Perfectly positioned between the DDR – Alan hadn’t beaten Scott yet, despite vows to the contrary – and the air hockey table – Virgil and Gordon were a pretty even match, but there was something just a little bit more vicious about Gordon’s hits – it let him use his brothers as a barrier against the rest of the world.  And he was good at it.  Already, he could feel security’s eyes on him, but they wouldn’t come over.
They never did, anymore. Accusations of cheating hadn’t done them too well years ago when Scott had got involved, affronted and furious that they’d think he’d do that and forced them to watch as he beat the machine again with pure skill, and Scott’s vitriol was something even security didn’t care for the hassle of.  Besides, they pumped enough money into the arcade, now that they had extra money to spare, that it wasn’t worth the company’s while to ban them.  John still felt their eyes on him, though, as he guided the claw deftly along its slightly rusted, halting pulley system.
It was Alan’s turn today. Actually, it was Scott’s, but Scott didn’t care for stuffed toys anymore – not even ones won for him by John – so Alan got the lucky extra pick (it alternated between the terrible two; Virgil refusing the extra whenever offered) and today he wanted the red bear.  Alan always wanted the red things.
The toys were the only thing in the arcade that looked younger than fifty.  Covered in dust by virtue of the fact that the only person that could ever win at the claw was John, the pile of toys still didn’t look freshly new anymore, but condition never mattered to them.
To John, what mattered was the challenge (less of a challenge now he had it down to an art, but it still required a measure of concentration).  To his brothers, what mattered was that he’d won it for them, a gift from brother to brother.
Under his fingers, the claw descended down, down, down, and snagged the chosen bear snugly around the middle.  No hanging by a thread, no fear it wouldn’t survive the journey to the chute.  Nice and secure, perfectly done as always.
For all the dust, it was still soft when he collected it from the dispenser, ignoring the rolled eyes of spectating security.  He gave it a quick brush and blow to get the worst of the dust off, before turning to the DDR.  Scott was, as usual, winning, quick on his feet and reflexes honed in a way their youngest brother just couldn’t match, and John watched with a small smile on his face as the song ended, Alan letting out a theatrical groan.  Scott ruffled his hair encouragingly, “next time, kid” spilling from his mouth as always, and John took his cue.
“Alan.”
The blond shot around, hands flying to catch the tossed toy.  He assessed it silently for a moment, clearly checking that it was the right one – a habit taught to him by Gordon, who could never resist claiming John had got the wrong one even though that had never happened – before bursting into a giant grin, DDR defeat already forgotten.
“Thanks, John!”  The bear was crushed to Alan’s chest, making him look even younger than he was.
John smiled back at him, sparing a momentary glance for Scott, who looked every inch the proud big brother he was as he ruffled Alan’s hair again, to quick protest.  “Any time.”
“Me next!” sounded from behind him, and he turned to see Gordon standing, arms crossed but air hockey striker still clenched in his hand, a couple of steps away from the table.  Behind the blond, Virgil rolled his eyes in amusement and sent the puck into the abandoned goal a few times.  The old, digital scoreboard that couldn’t show complete numbers anymore switched to one in his favour.
John sighed, but gestured to the claw.  “Which one?” Gordon ran the two steps’ worth of distance and pressed his face to the glass, fogging it up with his breath and leaving prints when he pulled back.
“That one!” he declared. A goldfish, this time.  It was always aquatic for Gordon.
“I’ll see what I can do,” John agreed, inserting a token to restart the game.  It was enough for Gordon, evidently, as he turned back to his game with Virgil and squawked when he saw the new score line.
John ignored the ensuing commotion as he stretched his hands and clicked his fingers.  Time for the next one.

Causes of WD My Passport not readable on Mac error
Let's at first take a look at the complaint from community.wd.com:
'My WD My Passport 2TB Portable External Hard Drive has suddenly become unreadable on my laptop (MacBook Pro Server with macOS 10.12 Sierra) and I have tried on a MacBook Pro 2011 running 10.13 High Sierra with the same results. Any suggestions to fix my unreadable WD drive?'
The good news is, even though you have been prompted with an error message, at least your WD My Passport drive is recognized. There are many reasons that can lead to a drive not being readable, but essentially this is because the internal file system is damaged. Some of the possible reasons for this error are described as follow:
Mac malfunctions
Outdated drivers
Faulty connections
Write-protected drive
The WD My Passport is not formatted
An internal file system error or bad sectors
Virus/malware infection to your WD My Passport
Incompatibility issue between your WD My Passport and Mac machine
Accidental interruption or removal of your WD My Passport during transferring data
How to fix 'WD My Passport unreadable' on Mac error?
In most cases, the issue can be repaired with a simple initialize. But this operation will remove all data stored on this drive. Are there any other ways to fix WD My Passport unreadable issue on Mac? Of course, just try these solutions one by one:
Solution 1: Re-insert the WD My Passport
The first and foremost thing is to remove the WD My Passport safely from Mac and then re-plug it into the USB port properly. If the external hard drive mounts and appears on the left sidebar of Finder, then you can access the drive. However, if the WD drive still won't mount or the error persists, continue with the next method below.
Solution 2: Check the Mac computer
The next step is to check whether your Mac machine has a problem or not. Just connect a different storage device to your Mac. If this error still pops up, the problem may refer to your Mac machine, you can restart your Mac to see if everything works well. Otherwise, if you can see the other drive in Finder, the problem is associated with the previous WD My Passport.
Solution 3: Check if the WD My Passport is encrypted
The WD My Passport for Mac corrupted or readable issue can also happen if the drive is encrypted by BitLocker. By default, the Mac computers cannot recognize a BitLocker encrypted drive, which means you are unable to read or write BitLocker encrypted drive on Mac.
You can insert the drive in a PC and then turn off the BitLocker encryption so that it can be read on Mac. In addition, you can access a BitLocker encrypted drive with the help of a third party tool.
Solution 4: Update Mac drivers
Drivers enable one or more hardware devices to communicate with the computer's operating system. If drivers are out-of-date, a variety of issues will happen such as the disk not readable error. Apple handles all system and driver updates for your system. To check if any updates are available, please do the following:
Step 1: Go to Apple menu and select 'App Store'.
Step 2: Click on the 'Updates' button located on the top pane.
Step 3: Check available updates for your system and applications.
Solution 5: Repair the WD My Passport in Disk utility
Disk Utility is a built-in used to erase, format or manage internal disks and external storage devices. The most important feature of Disk Utility is First Aid, which helps detect and repair any issue with your disk. Here is how to run First Aid on your Mac to repair the unreadable WD My Passport:
Step 1: Open Disk Utility from your /Applications/Utilities folder.
Step 2: Select the unreadable WD My Passport in the left side bar.
Step 3: Select the 'First Aid' tab.
If Disk Utility tells you the disk is about to fail, back up your data and replace the disk. You can't repair the disk. Otherwise, continue to step 4.
Step 4: Click Run.
If Disk Utility reports that the disk appears to be OK or has been repaired, you're done. Otherwise, you have to back up as much of your data as possible.
Solution 6: Recover lost data and erase the WD My Passport
If the error still exists, you have no choice but erase the WD My Passport. But keep in mind that you will lose all data store on this disk. If you didn't back up important data, you should get lost data back with free Online data recovery software at first.

Coffee or tea? What are you ordering?  Ahhh probably coffee, I love tea but I need my coffee </3
If you could have one superpower, what would you choose? Shapeshifting! Clearly the superior superpower I don’t take constructive criticism.
If you could visit a historical era, which would you choose? This is weirdly specific, but I would love to be in Scotland during the 1700’s. Alternatively, the 1980’s.
If you could restart your life, knowing what you do now, would you? 100%. I know everything happens for a reason but getting a redo and being able to fix all the big mistakes I made would be pretty nice.
Would you rather fight 100 chicken-sized horses or one horse-sized chicken? One horse-sized chicken! 100 tiny horses would be crazy tiring.
If you were a trope in a teen high school movie, what would you have been? I would probably be the gay side character that gives good emotional advice but is hella lonely LMAO
Do you believe in aliens/supernatural creatures? Yes, both!
What are some small things that make your day better? Driving with the windows down and music blasting, picking up coffee, playing video games, & talking to my internet friends on Discord.
Fun fact about yourself that not everyone would know? I discovered my love for writing through Warrior Cats roleplay😭
What fandom(s) do you write for? Right now, only Kpop, but I wouldn’t mind writing for 5SOS or some of my other fandoms!
When did you post your first piece? On WattPad, December 2015. On Tumblr, April 2018 :)
Do you write fluff/angst/crack/general/smut, combo, etc? Why? I write everything! Fluff/smut/crack is my favorite and slight angst (usually just slow burn though cus I’m soft).
Do you write OCs, X Readers, Ships...etc? Again, I write anything and everything! Currently, second or third person reader inserts are my main style, but I also do ships and would love to write more OCs.
Why did you decide to write for Tumblr? Before Tumblr, I was on WattPad for different fandoms but eventually fell off. Then, when I got into Kpop in 2017, I found that urge to write again and decided to move to Tumblr since WattPad was becoming… weird. Plus Tumblr was a better fit for me!
What inspires you to write? To be completely honest, it’s the little things throughout the day that inspire me. For example, “Honey” was inspired by me not being able to open my locker in high school. “I Hemoglobin You” was based off my friend giving me a head rub while I was donating blood. Kpop idols just so happen to be my muses that I like to put into random moments of inspiration!
What genres/AUs do you enjoy writing the most? High school or college AUs are my favorite, along with some good ol’ friends to lovers slow burn. Angst isn’t my forte so I usually just stick to fluff, smut, and some crack. I haven’t written any but fantasy AUs are some of my favorites too! (RIP to my League of Legends AU that I started and haven’t touched in months.)
What do you hope your readers take away from your work? Just like other fanfiction authors inspire me, I hope some of my work inspires others. Considering fanfiction is free, there is so much out there to read and when I find a good story that inspires ME to write better, I’d love for my writing to do the same.
What do you do when you hit a rough spot creatively? 3 options: 1) Skip that scene and jump ahead to one I’m excited to write; 2) Erase what part I’m on and completely redo it; or 3) Drop it. The majority of my works usually take a few months to write as I will completely stop working on it until I find the right inspiration again.
What is your favorite work and why? Your most successful? “Four” is definitely my favorite work. It’s one of my longer pieces and there was a lot of raw emotion in there on my end. I love the relationship between Hyunjin and the reader and especially love the ending. “Greatest Gift” for Chanyeol is my most successful, and one of my other favorites!
Who is your favorite person to write about? Easily Hwang Hyunjin. It’s so easy to place him in any of my works, and sometimes it’s a struggle to NOT write him. It sounds stupid but sometimes I really feel like I “know” him so being able to describe him physically and mentally is easy for me.
Do you think there’s a difference between writing fanfiction vs. completely original prose? Yes and no. Yes, because most of the time, fanfiction is totally original as well and requires just as much thought as a 400,000 word novel. No, because fanfiction uses a specific person as a muse.
What do you think makes a good story? Detail and realistic dialogue! Of course, everyone has their own style of writing, but detail is especially important to me. Sure, you can have a great plot, but having concise, detailed writing to get immersed into makes a story so much better. I also find realistic dialogue to be a big deal— I hate when teenage characters are speaking in deep analogies because, if we’re being honest, my daily language is 95% just “Bruh.” If you’re like me, I’d actually prefer realistic dialogue over anything else.
What is your writing process like? Process… yikes. Sometimes… I have a random thought and then I’m like… hell yeah let’s write that. I actually have no process. I don’t outline, I just start writing and keep writing until I’m finished. Then I’ll read it all over to make edits, then I’ll use the Read Aloud feature to catch any mistakes I missed, then I’ll run it through Grammarly before posting!
Would you ever repurpose a fic into a completely original story? Hm, maybe? In the future, possibly, but as of right now I wouldn’t use any of my fics to do so.
What tropes do you love, and what tropes can’t you stand? Oh, gosh, tropes. Gotta love them. Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, stuck together (AKA forced to share a bed), and fake relationships are my favorites. They may be corny, but I also love truth or dare or 7 minutes in heaven games in fics cus… they’re just classics. Also love fics with a popular x shy pairing. I can’t say I dislike many tropes, but I definitely have a love/hate relationship with vampire and werewolf tropes because of how romanticized they are.
How much would you say audience feedback/engagement means to you? Hm, to be completely honest, only a little bit? I mainly write for myself, it’s like a guilty pleasure to just get all my thoughts and desires out, and then I just so happen to make it public on Tumblr. Nevertheless, receiving comments and asks actually make my day, and sometimes I still struggle to wrap my mind around people enjoying my writing! So, thank you to everyone who has ever left me a kind message, I truly appreciate it ♥
What has been one of the biggest factors of your success (of any size)? Getting involved! I think one of the best ways to grow is to join networks, which not only gives you the opportunity to share your work on a greater scale, but also allows you to make connections. Like real life, making connections and making friendships with other writers can play a huge role in growing as a writer and growing your account.
Do you think fanfic writers get unfairly judged? Yes :( As someone who’s involved with other fandoms, I’ve heard the way some people think of fanfiction and it’s really sad. People do not know how much goes into writing and just see it as cringey and disgusting when it’s just… not.
Do you think art can be a medium for change? Yes! In all its forms, art is something a creator can use to influence their audience (in a good way, hopefully).
Do you ever feel there are times when you’re writing for others, rather than yourself? Like I said in #40, I mainly write for myself. Even when I’m writing a request, chances are if I like the request enough I’m going to create a story out of it that fits my personal desires the most.
Do you ever feel like people have misunderstood you or your writing at times?  No! However, I’d still consider myself a small account and do not have TOO many works posted. But so far, I don’t think I’ve faced this problem :)
Do your offline friends/loved ones know you write for Tumblr? Only a few! My best friend Maggie is on Tumblr with me and only 2 of my other pals know I write fanfiction.
What is one thing you wish you could tell your followers? How much I love each and every one of them for supporting me and sticking around even when I won’t post for months🥺❤️
Do you have any advice for aspiring writers who might be too scared to put themselves out there? Don’t psych yourself out! In the time I’ve spent on Tumblr, I’ve never received any substantial hate. My main advice is don’t write fanfiction to get popular on the app, write fanfiction because you love to write and love your muses!
Are there any times when you regret joining Tumblr? No, as much as Tumblr can be annoying at times, I love the people I’ve met and the content I’ve found and wouldn’t have wanted to use any other platform.
Do you have any mutuals who have been particularly formative/supportive in your Tumblr journey? @pinktea99 — Mo, you’ve been around since the beginning honestly, and without you I wouldn’t have been able to come out of my shell! Thank you for all your love & support & for being my SF9 buddy❤️

On a rainy day you receive a letter from the one whom your soul longs for...
Tumblr media
Day 365.
I stare outside my window, soothed as I listen to the rain fall down. It’s a cold and gloomy day, perfect for my melancholic mood. I’ve done a great job of forgetting about him. But he comes to the front of my mind whenever I hear the word honey or when I see Twinkies as I’m grocery shopping or every time I hear Tori Kelly sing, and that last one sucks the most because I love her music. But other than that, I had moved on.
But today I can’t stop thinking about him. I keep wondering if he’s moved on too. Is he eating okay? Is he sleeping okay? He always had trouble falling asleep, always thinking of something to do instead of getting enough rest. Does he have someone new in his life? Does someone else hold the key to his heart?
It’s been a year. 365 days. 8760 hours. 525600 minutes since I last saw him.
Don’t you mean since you broke up with him? That question haunts me daily. I constantly ask myself if I did the right thing. He tried to reassure me that we could make things work but I also knew he and the boys were only just beginning their journey as artists. I knew they were destined for greatness and the daily news articles and trending hashtags will tell you I was right. They are all out here breaking records and boundaries every day. I know if he had stayed with me I would’ve only been a burden.
A knock at my door breaks me away from my grieving thoughts. I open it to find a courier guy.
“Y/N?” he asks as he looks down at the name on the small package.
“Yes, that’s me.” He has me sign the slip and hands me the package.
I walk back inside and head over to my living room, making sure to grab a scissor from the kitchen so I can open the package.
I sit on my couch getting ready to open the box when I see the return address, “GCF” and I freeze, the scissor slipping from my hand.
Why? What? How? Huh?
I’m at a loss for words. How did he even get my address? Why now? Why is he reaching out to me TODAY of all days? What the actual fuck?
I feel myself start to panic. Breathe I tell myself. I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths until I’m a bit calmer. I open the package and the only things are a letter and a DVD titled “365.”
I grab my laptop and insert the DVD to watch it but then I change my mind and decide to read the letter first. I take a deep breath and begin to read:
“My sweet Honey,” a small smile forms on my lips remembering how he would sing Kehlani’s Honey when he would call me this, especially when I was ignoring him because he knew it would make me smile big.
“Did you know I fell in love with you before I even saw you? The sweet sound of your melodic voice stopped me in my tracks on that warm night in Malta. I was putting away my camera while I was walking back to my car, done with filming some footage for the day when I happened to walk by a busking with a small audience. I didn’t pay it any mind because no one was singing yet, but as I walked a few feet past it I heard you whisper a sweet letter to me.
‘Dear no one, this is your love song’ I stopped walking, feet glued to the floor. Your voice was sweet, like dripping honey. I felt goosebumps rise down my arms as I slowly turned around. I still couldn’t see you because the audience got bigger, probably due to your voice being like a sirens call to all of the town. I started to take out my camera as I walked back towards you. Your voice kept pulling me closer and closer until I could see you in the small screen of my DSLR. I squeezed my way through the crowd, wanting to be front and center. Is this how Army feels when they see us perform? Like they can’t breathe until they’re inches away from the stage? I was having difficulty breathing, I felt dizzy, but the moment I saw you...the moment I saw you with your eyes closed, hair dancing in the wind as you hit those notes in a breathy whisper, I felt like I could breathe again. That breath I was finally able to take made me realize I hadn’t been breathing all my life.
I recorded your entire performance that night. I couldn’t take my eyes off of you, especially seeing you in your element as you sang about how you were independent but wanted someone to give you his jacket when you were cold. All I could think about was how I wanted to be that someone for you.
When you finished the song, you opened your eyes and shyly smiled as you saw how big the crowd was. Your facial expression in that moment...seeing how humble you were and realizing how passionate you were about your talent, had me in awe. Someone in the crowd started chanting “encore encore” which made you giggle...my heart burst. I remember feeling this sudden urge to sing with you which is why I got up and walked to the other mic stand to the left of you. I looked over at you to find you looking at me with a puzzled expression as I asked you in a whisper, “do you know ‘Best Part’ by Daniel Caesar.’ The guitarist started to play the melody and we began to sing. Singing with you was the highlight of my trip and if I could go back to the moment I would relive it a thousand times.”
I close my eyes as I start to hum the song, bringing me back to that memory. I was a bit nervous singing with this complete stranger who I had noticed walking down the block before I started to perform. He was in all black, with a bucket hat on his head which was big enough to cover his face, and he was focused on a camera. The look of determination on his face piqued my interest, but I forgot about him as soon as I started to sing. At the time I wasn’t looking for anyone, but seems like fate had something different planned for me because that’s when he came to me.
When he got close to me and whispered if I knew Best Part my heart skipped a beat, almost as if it was restarting into a heart that belonged to him. When he started to sing “Best Part” and I heard his soft voice sing “it’s this sunrise and those brown eyes, you’re the one I desire” I looked over to find him looking at me as if he had known me all his life. I felt goosebumps rise on my arms and a pull on my heart strings. I feel my heart strings get tighter as I recall the memories and emotions from that day. It’s too much for me to dwell on so I go back to reading the letter:
“Asking you out that day was the best decision of my life. That year we spent together was and still is one of the most memorable and most cherished years of my life. My brothers and I have done a lot of great things with our music and every moment we spend with Army is a moment I’ll never forget, but it still doesn’t reach the level of happiness I had when I had you by my side.
You were and still are the love of my life. I now understand why you broke up with me. Your poor excuse of being too different and not fitting into my lifestyle was bullshit and you know it.” I chuckle softly because he’s right.
“I’m not going to lie and say a day didn’t go by where I didn’t miss you. Even during my busiest schedules, I still thought of you every day. Every sip of coffee would remind me of you. The image of your nose scrunch whenever you’d take a sip of my Americano due to it’s bitter taste would come to mind. I still don’t understand why you’d drink my coffee knowing you’d rather drink sugar with a splash of coffee. I’d think of you every time it’d rain. Those tour dates in Europe were the hardest for me. Although, while performing I’d put memories of you to the back of my mind, as soon as I left the venue and into the pouring rain, images of you running in the rain would come to mind. I must have been crazy for you to book that rose latte cafe that had just opened up in Itaewon at midnight, just to be able to go with you. To see that beautiful smile on your face and admire the way it would light up every time you’d obsess over a cafe’s aesthetic. But my favorite moment from that whole night was running hand in hand with you  to my car because we had to park half a mile away. The way you laughed as you tried to cover your hair with our hands, the way you cutely ‘yelled’ at me when I jumped into a puddle and splashed you, the way you looked at me when we stood outside my car in the rain. I can still feel the cold touch of your soft cheek as I held it in my hand and gently kissed you.”
I put the letter down and take a deep breath. Rainy days are the hardest for me for that same reason, and knowing that he was also hurting and struggling just as I was breaks my heart all over again. I pick up the letter again and am relieved to see that I'm almost done reading it.
“Rainy days will always be bittersweet for me, because they remind me of what I had and lost. Y/N, I’m sorry I didn’t fight for you, for us. I’m sorry it took me a whole year to pick up my boxing gloves and get in the ring to fight the match that is us. I’m settled in my career now so there really is no excuse you can give me that would keep me away from coming after you, and even once I have you in my arms again for good, I’ll continue fighting all my life to show you how much I love you. Knowing you, you probably read this letter first, so now I’m asking you to watch the DVD.”
I wipe the tears that are running down my face with my sweater sleeves and press play on my computer to start the film.
It opens up to an empty studio room, and after a closer inspection I realize it’s Jungkook's old studio at their old building. I hear a piano rendition of “Best Part” start playing softly and I can bet my life that he had Yoongi make this version for him. My heart aches and I rub my chest softly trying to ease away the pain.
“Testing testing 1 2 3.” I hear his soft voice first, and then I see him come out from behind the camera to sit in his chair. His hair is unruly, face bare, and he’s wearing my favorite yellow hoodie. He bites his lip nervously and then leans on his elbow, resting his head on his hand. He sniffs a few times, god how I miss him.
“Day 1. Day 1 of being without you. Day 1 of missing you. Day 1 of waking up without you next to me, of not cracking jokes until you wake up to hit me with your pillow.” Not being able to see through my tears, I hit pause. He didn’t. He did not make what I think he made. I fast forward a few minutes and hit play.
“Day 15. Day 15 and I still miss you. I could still smell the scent of your perfume in my closet this morning when I was getting dressed. 15 days and I could finally drink a whole grande iced Americano.” Shut the fuck up. No, he didn’t. With more tears running down my face I fast-forward some more and hit play once again.
“Day 256. I thought I was getting better, finally moving on, but it rained today.” Fuck. He did. He really made a video journal of everyday we were apart. The ache in my heart is too strong, no amount of rubbing my chest will ease the ache away. I stare at his handsome face on my screen. His hair is longer and curlier, his fingers accessorized with multiple silver rings run over his lips back and forth. I notice a new piercing on his left ear. But it’s the look of sadness on his face, the look of grief that guts me. Hurting all this time made me ignore the fact that he too was probably hurting just as much as me. The tears won’t stop coming and next thing I know I am full on sobbing. Sobbing for the broken boy on my screen, for the broken promises we made to each other, sobbing for my own heartbreak. I notice there are a few more minutes left of the video so I fast forward a little more and hit play one last time.
“Day 365. It’s been a whole year since I started missing you. A whole year where I grieved for us. It took me a whole year, 365 days, to realize I can’t live without you. I know you still keep in touch with Jimin and that’s how I know you still miss me.” He says this last part in a cocky tone, smirking while doing so which makes me smile through my tears.
“I didn’t think I was going to send you this log until 3 months ago when I realized you were it for me. My heartstrings are pulled every time I think of you or every time I hear your name, meaning our red threads are still connected even after a year of not being together. We would be crazy to go our whole lives with our threads trying to pull us back together. Y/N, I loved you the minute I heard your voice back in Malta all that time ago, I loved you the day you left me, I love you every time it rains, I love you every second of every day. If you still love me, open the door when you hear your doorbell ring today.” The video ends with “Dear No One” playing softly and then I hear Jungkook start to sing the song. Grabbing some tissues, I wipe my face and try to stop the tears from falling, my heart stopping when the doorbell rings. My breathing stops as I just stare at the door. The doorbell rings again and I jump up from my couch and slowly walk to the door. Holding the door knob for a few seconds, I close my eyes and take one final deep breath.
I see him standing there right in front of me. Hair wet from the rain, hands in his pockets, leather jacket hiding his torso. He smiles softly at me and takes one step closer, then another, then another until he’s one step away from me. He brings his hand out of his pocket and softly caresses my cheek, wiping a tear that had escaped.
In his sweet soothing voice, he whispers, “Did you ever find your ‘no one’?
Closing my eyes, I bring up my hand to squeeze his that’s still touching my cheek. I lean into our hands and opening my eyes I softly whisper back, “I did. He’s standing right in front of me.”
