A simple sidebar theme in a similar vein to Theia. I made this as an answer to an ask I answered not too long ago (it definitely feels like forever ago though). Suitable for all kinds of blogs.

Features:

Customizable post widths and font sizes. The live preview uses 600px post width and 13px font size. Enter the desired post width on the post width field and the desired font size on the font size field on the Customization page.

Customizable photoset gutter.

One accent color, 8 color options

A 64x64px icon on the sidebar. Any square image will resize automatically.

3 custom links.

Notes:

This theme uses the new NPF theme base. Everything should work as expected, except for some things, particularly reblogged quote posts. See below for an explanation.

A quote reblogged via the new editor will be, unfortunately, displayed as a usual blockquote. This is a Tumblr bug. I have tried my best to support both legacy and new quotes while the legacy editor is still in use, but as we slowly transition to the new editor, design choices have to be made, and for the time being that choice is made for us theme makers by the staff.

A secretive order of Ishgardian mages that open their doors once a moon to those who seek knowledge of curses, hexes, death, and the terrifying future.

Don your mask and assume an alias before joining us for a night of occult themed RP.

The Order of Saint Gabineaux is both an RP community and a heavy RP venue focused on an ancient fraternal order of mages within Ishgard. The Order blends the use of powerful magics that the church might find heretical with the worship of the Fury. They believe that such skills are gifts sent from Halone, and said gifts are meant to be nurtured rather than stifled. After all, they are the most pious and the most devout. How could they be heretical?

The Order of Saint Gabineaux opens its door once a moon to outsiders. Invitations arrive without a return address, delivered to those who have caught the interest of the High Priest. Masks are required for entry and aliases are encouraged. Come to gawp, find answers to all of your burning questions, or to seek out the brother's esoteric skills. It matters not what brings you to The Order's door, for when you leave you will not be able to find it again. Until next moon.

scholasticate dormitory

a room i made for my theomocent alt, themed after a scholasticate dormitory room. this was as much as i could do with his gil, but i'm happy with it. i always try to make sure my builds have at least one good photo location, and in this case, i find the reflection from these stained glass panes over the scholasticate furniture very beautiful.

This is part of a charity build challenge made by eveiona on twitch! The theme was 'Go Blue for Sarcoidosis'. She'll be hosting a charity festival on the 26th at 10am PST on here channel! Last year, she told the story of a patient who compared sarcoidosis to dandelions being blown by the wind. Saying that each patient experiences sarcoidosis at different levels. For some, the wind blows softly, leaving the dandelion intact. For others, the wind blows more strongly, causing far more damage. My build is meant to wish patients a gentle journey, or at least a brief respite. Please consider donating to Sarcoidosis UK to help support sarcoidosis patients! ♥

Vierapril Day 14: Winter/Favorite Duty

Winter: Nothing like a warm cuppa to stave off the unending chill of the frozen wastes. I almost went with the little igloo area in the Empyreum, but I didn't want to use a housing location twice for this mini-theme within the prompts.

Favorite Duty: Raex does love a good challenge, and the cyberpunk dystopia aesthetic is the cherry on top. One day I'll get around to playing the games that the NieR raids are derived from. I don't expect I'll understand them any more than I understood the raid story, but I suppose that's not the point.

“What do you mean, ‘the common cold’?” Tataru asked indignantly, standing at the front door of Yuyujo House, the abode of Yujo Palms, the Warrior of Light, in one of the many districts of Empyreum—the adventurers’ housing in Ishgard.

"The way I heard of it from Alphinaud, Yujo was deathly sick, and had collapsed!"

Yujo’s butler and trainer, Nu’aka Phaphro, a Viera man of advanced age, shifted his glasses awkwardly. “I suspect there has been a mix-up in communications. I said to Master Leveilleur that Yujo had collapsed from exhaustion during her morning routine. I get the feeling he overreacted and sent you here in a panic.”

Tataru clicked her tongue. “Oh, Alphinaud!” she huffed slightly before turning back to Nu’aka. The look of worry from before still lingered on her face. “But she will be fine, right?”

It had been about a month since Yujo had been given the all-clear from the infirmary staff in Old Sharlayan, recovering from the injuries she had sustained during the battles in Ultima Thule. As Yujo had told Tataru, the three months it took to heal had left her feeling stir-crazy, desperate to return to training.

Needless to say, she was still vulnerable.

Nu’aka smiled warmly. “Oh, absolutely. In fact, I was just about to head to the market to get some Cucco meat for the soup I am making. Could I ask you to look after the house? I won’t be long.”

Tataru nodded with a smile. “Sure.” With that, the thankful, bunny-eared man left for the markets.

Inside, the house exuded a cozy Ishgardian charm, with just enough decor to feel homey without being cluttered. A small table held various nicknacks, and in one corner stood an orchestrion softly playing wind chime melodies. Next to it sat a pair of fluffy carbuncle-themed slippers, fluffed up as if freshly worn.

At the back of the room, a small table with an open book and an inkwell caught her attention. Curiosity getting the better of her, Tataru peeked at its contents. It was a journal of Yujo’s adventures, written in her signature messy handwriting. Judging by the number of filled pages, she was only a few entries away from finishing the book.

A warm smile crossed Tataru’s face.

A loud sneeze, followed by a sniffle and a small groan, echoed from downstairs, grabbing her attention. Carefully, Tataru followed the noise and made her way down to the bedroom. It was a spartan affair: a single wardrobe for the clothes that weren’t stored in a glamour dresser, a small desk—convenient for jotting down thoughts—and a futon mattress on the floor. Around the head of the mattress were several plush dolls, framing the ill Warrior of Light, dressed in chocobo-print pajamas. She groaned softly, occasionally shifting in her restless sleep.

For someone who stood so stout- by Lalafell standards, the Warrior of Light looked surprisingly adorable when riddled with a cold. A warm grin crossed Tataru’s face as she basked in the sheer cuteness of the scene. Emboldened, she waddled to Yujo’s side and knelt beside her.

With a tiny giggle, she poked the Warrior of Light’s chubby, freckled cheeks, watching them wobble slightly under her finger. Another giggle escaped Tataru’s mouth as she watched the sight.

Groaning, Yujo, in a half-awake, flu-addled haze, grabbed Tataru’s hand.

“Uh-oh,” Tataru whispered as she tried to pull her hand away, only to find the Warrior of Light’s grip surprisingly strong despite her condition. Before she could protest, Yujo pulled her into a tight hug, sending her sprawling onto the futon beside her. Tataru yelped as she landed with her back against Yujo’s chest.

“Mmm… Tataru,” Yujo mumbled in her sleep, letting out a soft giggle.

Tataru’s face flushed as she found herself in the inescapable grip of someone who had mastered the martial artes of Ala Mhigo.

“My personal support lala,” Yujo sighed, squeezing Tataru tighter in her sleep. “…I love you.”

Tataru’s blush deepened. She knew Yujo was aromantic; she’d made it clear that any suitors could be politely but firmly declined. This love was the love of someone who cared deeply for her friends, almost familial in nature. But still, in this moment, Tataru allowed herself to feel special.

Mostly because she wasn't going anywhere.

“…I love you too, Yujo,” she whispered.

Some time passed, and Nu’aka returned, paper-wrapped Cucco meat in hand. He called out for Tataru but didn’t find her in the living room. Placing the meat on the table, he made his way downstairs, only to find the two of them sleeping peacefully in each-other’s embrace.

With a hushed tone, he simply uttered a solemn, dignified, “Oh, my.” Turning on his heel, he headed to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

Two weeks later, Tataru lay in her bed in the apartment block in Old Sharlayan, a bag of ice perched on her head, her face the epitome of annoyance. Yujo sat beside her, holding a flask of freshly prepared Cucco soup, concern written all over her face.

“You look like death! What happened?” Yujo asked, the question almost bursting from her lips.

Looking her friend in the eye, Tataru groaned and uttered a single command:

“Don’t ask.”

some photos of cerise's old apartment. i've since vacated it to move him to empyreum, as the ishgardian housing didn't exist when i first built this for him. i'm looking forward to building a grungy brume apothecary setup more fitting of his shop now, but i did enjoy the theme of this. the potions, bottle racks, and dim lighting had intended to give the feel of an office that seems ever so slightly off, just as he acts.

Favourite Dye and AFK Spot?

Favourite dye is actually royal purple and rolanberry red! But unfortunately they're such bright and deep colors that I have a hard time coordinating them with anything!

Gwyn's personal is a cozy addams family inspired Empyreum house, and her FC house is a WIP but it's turning into a grove temple of menphina (one of those indoor-outdoor builds).

Xavier's apartment is a solution 9 build. I took a bunch of ideas from other creators and kind of reverse engineered some of them on makeplace and then put it together manually.

Xavier's house is also by Galatunia! It's an Ishgardian hyur style chateau RP space. I imagine that Ishgardian hyur are the Edwardian sort of aesthetic compared to the elezen's baroque, and wanted to bring in some elements of that, especially as we get next to no lore about Hyuran noble families in Ishgard beyond "they exist" and "they were almost all elevated to nobility for some reason or another".

It's supposed to be an offshoot wing of the main building that Xavier (and Vanille, sometimes, but she also has her own space. Xavier and Vanille have very conflicting aesthetics when it comes to decorating and so while they do have a shared space and do share each other's beds they're both happier to be able to have a space to be on their lonesome as well (I encourage all married couples to do this, it is Simply Healthier)) occupies so they can have some privacy and do their work in peace.

The house servants aren't allowed in, so it has a small kitchenette for preparing meals when they don't feel like making their way into the main dining hall.

We also included lots of chocobo-themed decor because Xavier collects chocobo themed knickknacks and they keep it mostly to this area.

Outside of that, I'll frequently afk in the nexus arcade in Solution 9 or in Limsa Lominsa.

Glamour/Map Night: Holiday Finery

Another Monday, another treasure map night with the Free Company! Today's theme was 'Wintry/Holiday Finery.' So, sort of like last week, but less 'Ho ho ho's'. The first few shots here were taken around the Empyreum where Z'itlalli calls home.

I honestly love this little one with the snowball. She looks so happy! <3

The next few were taken at our wifey Astraex's alt's FC apartment that was inspired by ugly Christmas sweaters. She did such a great job with this place. It gave plenty of places for great holiday-related poses. (Apartment can be found at: Primal: Exodus, Empyreum, Ward 5, Plot 60, Room 13.)
