I kind of hate the shares discussion but I do think this article is interesting.

According to Beatles Bible John and Paul both started with 750,000 shares each in 1965. If that’s correct they must have both given / sold 6,000 shares at some point between 1965 and 1968.

This article states that in Nov 1968, John had 644,000 and Paul had 744,000 shares since John had sold some that he held in trust with Cynthia.

So this would be before Paul bought any extra shares (Paul had 751,000 at the time of the debacle in 1969), so I’m highlighting this because John had already reduced his shares to less than Paul’s prior to that.

I genuinely don’t think Paul was trying to be sneaky and making sure he had the majority of shares by buying more because… he already did have the majority by doing absolutely nothing?

Every therapist I talked to always suggested it as one of the safer coping mechanisms. Doesn’t mean it’s the only valid coping mechanism, but it is one.

Yes, I will equate posting media normalising and enabling others to get off to the idea of child abuse with actual paedophilia — especially because that kind of fandom material can also be used in normalising that content to minors to groom them. sexualising children is always bad and the idea that doing it in an online space is somehow completely different from doing it in real life is patently ridiculous. especially considering that many fandom spaces (e.g. ao3) literally host explicit sexual content about REAL MINORS.
