So basically it's after the turtles come back from fast forward

Bishop (still very evil and all) is trying to use all of Donny's second mutation data to make super humans

He uses axolotls as test subjects because of their regeneration abilities

The story takes place when the turtles rescue the only axolotl mutant that survived this experiments

They were hanging out at Rise dimension, having a sleepover. It was late and Raph was already in trouble, but he really wanted to hang out at the Rise's city cause it's the most lively and colorful. Leo wasn't having it, tho!

Dee-Evolution Raph is the designated turtle caretaker. He says it's just because he's the only one in his family who actually knows how to take care of a turtle, but it's also because he's really the biggest softie of all of them and wants to make sure his very vulnerable little brother is safe... this may apply to alternate universe versions of him, apparently!

It's been months. Months since Mikey had told him. Months since he fell into constant research, trying to find anything- anything at all- that could help. That could stop what Mikey had said was inevitable. Even if he doesn't use his magic at all, he's too far gone. He's going to die...

Ghost rubs his forehead, frustrated and tired. He sighs. He feels someone behind him, and he knows who it is. Mikey watches him quietly, a look on his face that Ghost does not want to see. The same look of acceptance that he's had for a while now.

Mikey steps closer, and raises a hand to gently hold Ghost's. "Meditate with me..."

It's been months since he last asked that of him. This time, it wasn't a cheeky suggestion or whiny command. But a question. and a plea. A plea for Ghost to take this chance to be with him for what very well could be the last time. 'Any day now, maybe' Mikey had said, all those months ago. Ghost doesn't want to accept such a thing. Not as easily as Mikey had...

But, closing his eyes, he nods. He holds Mikey's hand. He catches the small smile on Mikey's face when he finally stands. And, honestly, that alone makes this worth it.
