I’m a sucker for hurt comfort and angst but I love reading about found families too and I wish there were more stories of tinies/giant sizeshifters or shapeshifts hiding that they can shift because they’re afraid of rejection or being abused that when potential family figure finds out, (or hurts them when they do know) they bolt. Then lots and lots of healing and love.

favorite headcannon you've come up with (canon!dsmp, ff!dsmp, etc.) Ok so after season 1 ended, I came up with this thing that the S1 selves still exist, but are like trapped in the C! subconsciousness and that in Season 2, S1 self and S2 self will end up talking. And I have this thing where Tommy and Dream become friends but Tommy starts pulling pranks and shenanigans like he used too in S1 and Dream is just brushing them off even though he’s slightly bothered. To the point where weird shit starts happening on the server but no one can trace the source, while S2 Dream just keeps blacking out with headaches. Because S1 Dream is taking over his body and getting Revenge on Tommy for causing him the same pain. And at some point S1 and S2 Dream speak and it goes something like this: no tommy didn't destroy my build to hurt me. it was innocent fun! A prank!! s1 dream: No Dream. He did it to hurt others, hurt your real friends,  to hurt us, hurt you. Or maybe a different route where S2 Dream is heading down that same road that S1 Dream did, and S1 Dream comes to S2 Dream with warning and basically its a self healing moment. And like this applies to Tommy too in different ways and I just think it would be cool if the S1 and S2 selves met each other.

I'm shook by your reading habits. Not in a bad way, just surprised you don't really read Wilbur/Schlatt or Wilbur/Quackity. Majority of Dre/grge in makes me cringe bc they make them both OOC. Sounds stupid of me to say because all fanfics shoehorn their personalities in some way. I usually stick to Wilbur stories. I think when I gave a chance to your DNF series, it was the only enjoyable portrayal out there. What sort of DNF stories/tags do you enjoy? Are you disappointed by the offerings out there?

......How I read fanfic......

What I do is go through a tag, choose random filters based on the day, search by bookmarks then go through 8 pages, opening fics in a new tab I might read. Then, go through what I collect and see if I'm hooked. Usually out of 15 fics chosen I'll find 1 or 2 I'm like "hey, this was pretty okay." Rarely ill find something I'm like "gonna subscribe and camp this."

Manhunt D/NF

I do love DN/F Whump. If no one is hurt, it's hardly as fun.

I'm not going to lie, Manhunt!Dreem is my favorite. I really love him being a scary, but still funny and morally grey wisecracking man, but finding a fic where they don't make George a woman in a George disguise is hard. Why did you castrate him? Where is his feral energy, rude tone and the fact he's a 25yo man, writers?! If an author doesn't let George sound just as dumb as Spnap and half as cocky, I click off. The amount of authors writing themselves as George is unreal.

DSM/P Verse C!D/NF

I love XDN/F and love c!D/NF, but can't ever find fics I like of either.

So, with c!DN/F, I really search for a fic honestly written by what the fandom terms "apologist", but also, it can't defang him. Dre has to be bloodthirsty, but likable and charismatic. He needs to care, but do an awful job showing it. He has to be full of character!

But whenever I find fics that nail him, they fail at Gog or vice versa. Half the time I see "Gogy fixes him :)" No, Gogy does not fix him. Gogy is also just as messed up.

There is not an ounce of c!Gogy lore I've seen that would make me think he's not going to kill someone too. Have we all been watching the same man? He kidnapped Michael with Surpnurp and that was the funniest shit ever and the fact it got retconned I'm so sad about. C!Gogy is a nightmare. He's batshit, he's unhinged, he likes chaos. He's cold and standoffish to everyone outside his friends and a gremlin. But he also cares so much. Underneath that he's caring in odd small ways. He's going to steal your flower garden and then come back with a sandwich, hand you half, and then tell you a story about a cat he saw in the woods. He's lazy and a coward, yet cocksure and a persistent stubborn ass when he wants to be.

Yet fics write him like a victorian woman pining at the window for their love. Locked in a prison. How sad. He's going to criticize c!Dre for his wrongs? No. He's going to criticize c!Dre for not getting him armor and helping him and dethroned him and not giving him attention.

A fic I crave is a villainous c!Q (that's still sympathetic, and clearly written morally grey) killing c!Gogy. I want c!Q to taunt c!Dre. I want c!Q's obsession with power to push past his obvious love for his friends and I want there to be casualties. I want c!Gogy to be a price. I want his blood.

XD/NF Ramble

Now XDN/F. Oh man. My old writing long before DSM/P was in a fandom with Greek-like gods and I found myself pouring hours, and hours, and hours into researching religions as a teen. I came away with so many stories of gods who always were too inhuman, too powerful. Even out of love humans were hurt. Like many kids, I'd read Percy Jackson, but I saw a world of possibilities. I saw stories of humans falling in love with gods ending tragically.

But I haven't EVER dropped my obsession with stories of gods' and their human followers. I am so deeply in love with the concept.

But I fell in love with XD/NF because it was what I'd wanted, and honestly, George's lore eps are a HELL of a lot like the old media. You have to make sense of what's canon and not yourself and it's such what I wanted.

But...one AO3s filtering is limited by what people tag, and XD/NF isn't separated from D/NF in searches. And the fandom largely discards c!Gogy...just like they did for well...my old blorbo.

But anyway. I do actually have a super vested love for DN/F. Mostly AU fantasy verses, but I've read that one popular more RPF-esque one.

But the fandom lets me down ;-;. Mostly how they wrote Gogy.

Oh Q oh poor poor poor q 😭 what's that 1 quote "always the bridesmaid but never the bride?" well FUCK that q's always on the sidelines always being supportive but never the one having his moment to live life and be cared for and he IMMEDIATELY went to caring so much abt Wil like any of his family members or patients once he learned of Wil's "upbringing in a cult".

maybe he's more like a ghost than a ghosthunter bc I feel like he'd be the type of kid who would never make any scene or ask for anything in his youth bc he felt like his parents were burdened enough looking after his mother to the point that he wouldn't ask to go out to any festivals or anything that could complicate his parents' lives and would just stay in his room trying to do good with his studies and find a different kind of positivity in his life thru books and the internet in his own little world, while he just hoped his mom and other family members were doing alright.

look at how quick he was to say he understands if Wilbur doesn't want to be around him anymore!! he thinks he's a burden! He's ready to disappear from Wilbur's life if that's what Wilbur wants or even if Wilbur doesn't want that he's probably got the conviction to do it anyway if Tammy says it's what Wil needs.

I think, ultimately, q feels powerless. he felt powerless to do anything for his mom, he works in the hospice for people who are beyond saving but still need comfort, he runs a ghost hunting youtube channel where he probably never got an even slightly convincing ghost event before Wil came along, but he's still such a kind and generous person who probably did all he could to support his mom, is clearly VERY passionate about his hospice job, and who always jumps at every single opportunity he gets to get even a SLIVER of proof that Ghosts exist and that he could communicate with them to the point that he almost got himself killed in like chapter 2. He donates to homeless ppl on the streets that he can't help get a job and a roof to live under but can hopefully help eat one meal.

he was terrified that Wilbur regretted trying to hook up with him but decided to go to his apartment anyways to see if he was okay, nevermind if he's absolutely humiliated and gets his heart broken by being kicked out of the apartment and yelled at in the hallway by Wilbur when he says never wants to see him again. he never had a chance to have selfish want growing up and now he's fallen for a Demon that he'll have to break his own heart to protect because he'd still never consciously try to harm him even if that's what Wil wants and even if a demon more than anyone else would understand and not hold it against him to be selfish bc ultimately he feels powerless but instead of giving in to his hereditary depression he feels like he needs to continue fighting this battle he can't win, pushing the Boulder up the hill, and trying to be as worthwhile and impactful of a person as he can for the sake of his friends, his family, and the world by putting others first and making it his midsion to help others until his body finally fails him.

Once again, the c!Dream Defenders are in Denial™ and I've Just found out what their take is on the whole Logstedshire confrontation is.

"c!Dream wasnt there for c!Tommy, he was there for the Axe of Peace and ran into c!Tommy by coincidence." With some people also having the balls to say "the writers made a plot hole bc how was c!Dream to know the Axe was there?"

...its Probably because he wasnt there for the axe! Listen I can accept the coincidence part as there was no way for him to know 100% c!Tommy would be at Logstedshire (then again he found the chest so he must've realised the items were Tommy's and he'd be arriving?) but like

There was No way him immediately going to Logstedshire and waiting had anything But ill intentions. Like you said, he had No Way of knowing the Axe of Peace would be there.

And when c!Tommy arrived, c!Dream stood waiting, broke his nether portal to not allow him to escape, and then welcomed him "Home", welcomed him Back to Exile. He was Ready for that shit lol .

Why did he stay and wait? Why did he fill the hole back in? Why did he wait behind the Nether Portal?

And Once Again, people are clinging onto "c!Dream is obsessed with getting peace and c!Tommy is in the way" No???

1. c!Tommy has Barely been active for literal months. He isnt doing Anything I Promise.

2. c!Dream knows Damn Well c!Tommy isnt the one stopping "peace". He's literally just come back from being tortured by c!Quackity and held in prison by c!Sam who he just watched murder a guy. If anything he'd think they're the issues? And they're the ones who hurt him. But no, he went straight to c!Tommy because he missed messing with him and likes tormenting him.

3. c!Tommy has Never been the one stopping peace. In every single one of his and c!Dream's wars c!Dream has been the main instigator (and if you dont want to accept that can you at least accept he was Just as much into the wars as c!Tommy was? the wars were Not one-sided, please I started watching the DSMP for these two I Know c!Dream Loved being a part of those little wars) and he would break rules himself, rules were broken before c!Tommy (I'm going to record c!Dream encouraging the burning of the Lemon Tree I stg) and he would ignore others breaking rules.

3. Can we Please leave the "Exile is revenge for c!Tommy breaking rules/c!Dream thinks he's in the way of peace" shit behind it's Just victim blaming lite and also not true . Stop erasing early c!Dream's chaoticness he never cared That much about rules and peace and certainly does not now (and if that's cc!Dream messing around then that means it's also cc!Tommy and you cant pin that on him being more chaotic than anyone else. Giggles)

It's one thing if a CC who isnt that involved in his lore is saying this stuff just from some clips they watched - but Sam and Tommy directly work with Dream for the lore. Tommy has been writing stories with Dream for over a year. You're gonna accuse Tommy of not knowing c!Dream, really? The main person who works with him? Good Lord. I've never seen denial stronger.

(The "c!Wilbur said everyone is morally gray why are you ignoring CCs word?" people are the one doing the above too LMAO. Which is also funny bc it's not even what Wilbur said, he said he Wanted the story to be morally gray which. Implies it's Not anymore.)

I'm not even gonna go into the bullshittery that is "c!Tommy was hallucinating c!Dream" and "c!Dream is just projecting his trauma from c!Quackity onto c!Tommy"

One take I will never understand that comes from Twitter is the take that Wilbur manipulated everyone to follow some narrative he created and caused Dream to fall into villainy because of this.

What narrative was Wilbur trying to create? From Quackity's lore stream it's clear that after the war Wilbur became cynical and pessimistic towards things he once believed held power (bureaucracy and democracy). He wasn't trying to create a narrative that he was the hero, a valiant man with a pen and paper in hand- if that's what people think he was trying to do. Wilbur literally egged on Big Q for this, that yeah he could start a movement and be everyone's hero, but that wasn't going to change anything.

"They'll cheer for you in the streets but you will change nothing. If you have a revolution everyone will hate you, you will sacrifice everything and you will lose everything you've ever had."

Also I think people miss that being president, having to be a leader wasn't something that Wilbur actually loved to do. Ghostbur said that when Wilbur was alone he would drink and smoke to cope with the stress of his position- he broke down and would have crying sessions by himself (From Tubbo's vod on 11/17, time period 2:14:06).

Dream apologists commonly describe Dream as some tragic character that fell into bad decisions because of declining mental health, and I'm like...you're literally describing Wilbur. He's right there!

A major curse as a Wilbur enthusiast is having to go through so many old vods when it comes to Wilbur's character to find important lore bits. And I really think that this is why people just think Wilbur is "Menace Man Evil Man #1", and that he's just some dude that blew up a country because he was "insane" (I despise using that word).

Just came back from watching Tubbo's vod and it just made me more convinced that I don't understand people being apologists for anyone, c!Tubbo saying one thing to c!Quackity and then completely different to c!Ranboo, not sharing all information is just one example of many. I just don't know why we can't accept we are watching bunch of traumatized people that are also selfish and a bunch of dicks to each other lmao

holy SHIT i just went through his vod since i was following quackity's presence and didn't catch tubbo's end of things earlier, and i collected some interesting moments in regards to c!quackity:

tubbo explained what ghandi does in civ5 (normally a pacifist but is war-hungry and rushes to use nukes in the game). for context, the last thing he said to quackity was "do you know what ghandi does in civ5?" and quackity said, "yes." and then tubbo said, "i'm just going to leave it at that." quackity asked if tubbo was threatening him, but tubbo said "no, it's not a threat," and then left the call without responding further

"we've got no problem with big q; we're not going actually fight him. he just needs to learn to stay in his lane." —tubbo

"quackity is very insecure. he's got something going on." —ranboo

"we'll let him cool off, and we'll come back in a couple days. he's so up his arse at the minute." —tubbo

"big q talks about being peaceful, but he's literally the one who rooted for an execution back in the day." —tubbo, talking about the butcher army

tubbo told ranboo that 1) quackity wanted to execute ranboo during the green festival, and 2) quackity, along with schlatt, had rooted for tubbo's execution at the manberg festival (which is untrue, quackity had protested against the execution; he didn't want it to happen to tubbo & had thought they were only jailing tubbo)

and THEN tubbo tells ranboo that he's "starting to notice a pattern of behavior with this guy. he's LOVELY, but keep it in the back of your mind."

people have probably talked about this before but my brain won't shut up about Tubbo's character (1/?): what's happening to L'manberg is less Tubbo's and more Big Q's fault. Let me explain my Tubbo Apologist line of thinking: first, Tubbo decided to exile Tommy because he fears another war. Tubbo never really wanted war in the first place. It was Tommy who incited the conflict. He’s scared because he and Tommy are both on their last lives and he just wants L’manberg to not get destroyed again

oh, yeah, Quackity is absolutely one of the main villains of this arc. he’s the one acting maliciously here, it’s just that Tubbo doesn’t have the backbone to reject the moral corruption in his cabinet

i’m Really hoping that Quackity is possessed by Schlatt in some way. otherwise this is a bit of a strange turn for his character, who has always acted to uphold his generally well-meaning morals in the past. yes, there’s always been a little bit of a thirst for power there (that’s why he teamed with Schlatt in the first place, after initially joining the election to prevent Wilbur from undermining the democratic process), but he rejected that corruption when he left him for Pogtopia. this seems a bit of a face heel turn, now, if there’s no outside influence

Post Techno's Stream Theories

These are some theories I have after watching Techno's stream, they aren't ground-breaking or anything and probably have already been said, but here's some thoughts:D

This will purely be based on the characters that were in this stream alone and not how each storyline on the server, as of now, is going to play in with it!!

1. In the Will that Techno gave Phil, it's gonna have a plan on how to escape both him and Dream escape prison

Techno usually is very thought out and wouldn't do anything without a plan, he mentioned to Dream that he thought Quackity was setting him up already. Also, 'The Blade Never Dies' - Why would the prison scare him of losing his life enough to make a will? It seems very out of character unless he had an motive to act as such. Again, the will is a plan and not an assignment of assets. Edit: Another thing I just thought of was how cocky? Techno was with Sam and the prison. Like the dude just gave his will to his friend, yet he seemed very confident and unphased at all. This again makes me think the will was a plan

2. I'm guessing Sam/Quackity will die?

I think Sam will definitely, but maybe not in a way we're expecting. Perhaps Quackity throwing him under the bus so to speak. For example, Quackity told Sam to let Techno through, any fall out of Techno & Dream getting out will be on Sam and Big Q won't help? Idk, he's extremely manipulative now and is trying to rise to power in anyway, so another death doesn't seem viable

3. Once Techno and Dream are out, there is going to be hell for Big Q (and Sam)

Techno holds loyalty close to him and his decision making, he even said to Quackity 'You better not be lying to me on my birthday'. Like Techno's lore has a good amount of humour mixed in, so the pettiness of that statement will definitely come in somewhere xD So yeah, I think there's going to be massive repercussions for this - but more petty motivated than you think on the surface

4. Another War.

Plain and Simple really. Dream and Techno will want revenge, Techno has the Syndicate backing, I'm sure Dream can convince friends with the trauma he's gone through in prison (NOTE: This is not me being a Dream apologist, he's caused much trauma to the server I know. However, you can't deny the whole ordeal of Quackity's torture isn't traumatic either.)

(1/2) Regarding your post about c!Dream maniupulating c!Sam and c!Quackity, while I agree with the general point of the post, I get the impression that the terms "manipulation" and "abuse" got mixed up.Abuse is based on power imbalance. Manipulation is about using deceit or otherwise underhanded means to get somebody to do or believe things ther otherwise wouldn't. It might actually be one of the few tools available to somebody on the wrong end of the power spectrum (see c!Quackity).

and his recruitment methods. c!Purpled or c!Foolish could have flattened him at any time but he managed to exploit their insecurities and got what he wanted.

Dosn't change the fact that c!Dream is colmpletly at c!Sams and c!Quackitys mercy. Still, I wouldn't completely dismiss the possibilty that he might try manipulation, even just as a means of survival. But that's up to the writers. Hope the story progresses soon xD Have fun with further analysis,

true! he could still technically be manipulating, but i don't believe that would've worked since people don't trust him and c!sam is never shown to have pity towards c!dream in any capacity either way. he might try it, but he definitely hasn't yet and i don't think it would actually have any effect - wouldn't blame him for it, though.

the point was more "he isn't manipulating them", but i get that specific point wasn't really phrased well. him being at c!sam and c!q's mercy still plays a role, but it doesn't mean that he can't attempt it.
