Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Machina Kunagiri Burst Banners Cycle

The banners featuring the Burst or BT weapon of Machina Kunagiri from Final Fantasy Type-0 are coming soon in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game.

Savage Winds: Elvoret Raid Banner 1

The Savage Winds: Elvoret Raid banner 1 features the following chars and their weapons:

Machina Kunagiri from Final Fantasy Type-0 - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and Burst or BT

Paine from Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 - 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD

Leo Cristophe from Final Fantasy VI - 15cp, 35cp, and Ex

Have everything on this banner except for Machina’s Burst and Paine’s LD. Have fully max limit broken all the 15cp, 35cp, and Ex weapons on this banner.

Machina’s and Leo’s Ex weapons have been Purpled or upgraded to Ex+ 3/3. Paine’s Ex is at base Ex only. Machina’s LD is also fully MLB.

Savage Winds: Elvoret Raid Banner 2 Free First Multi-Draw Results

But we get a free multi-draw on the Savage Winds: Elvoret Raid banners as part of the currently ongoing winter campaign.

Banner 2′s free pulls gave me a gold orb. Just ended up with a dupe of Wakka’s LD though. Ah, well. It’s fine.

And, as it turned out, apparently I never MLB’d the first copy of Wakka’s LD that I got so this dupe wasn’t just a Power Stone after all.

Thoughts about Machina Kunagiri from Final Fantasy Type-0

It’s been a long time since Machina Kunagiri from Final Fantasy Type-0 (#ad) was first introduced as a playable char in Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia.

When Machina debuted into the game, he only had his 15cp, 35cp, and Ex weapons. Back then, I planned to pull for him only because I wanted his Ex.

Machina’s Ex gives an A Sphere called Break Hit Base Attack Up Shorter. This Sphere has the following effect:

Raises INT BRV, ATK by 10% for 3 turns when inflicting Break or attacking target afflicted with Break

I wanted to give this Sphere to Zack Fair from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII.

So after getting Machina’s Ex, I readily Purpled it and gave its Sphere to Zack. No regrets. I talk more about that in another post.

But as I watched the cut scenes in Machina’s event, I ended up liking him, so much so that I Purpled his armor then spent the time to farm for his perfect Artifacts - 3 ATK 108 with Dual-Wielding Star Pupil Boost★★ (Raises MAX BRV, ATK by 5% while Awakening buff active). Even got him 2 ATK 108 with MAX BRV 330 Arts.

After hearing about Machina’s LD, I looked forward to its arrival on the English or Global version of DFFOO.

It was after I’d obtained Machina’s LD that I decided to give him triple real Spheres.

Couldn’t completely make up my mind on what to equip to him though so, at the moment, he only has the following:

Oerba Yun Fang’s (from Final Fantasy XIII) Break Hit Attack Up Longer (RF) A Sphere

When inflicting Break or attacking target afflicted with Break: • Raises own ATK by 4% for 6 turns

Yang Fang Leiden’s (from Final Fantasy IV) Critical Attack Boost Up Shorter A Sphere

When dealing critical hit: • Raises MAX BRV and ATK by 10% for 3 turns *Does not stack with same sphere

Celes Chere’s (from Final Fantasy VI) Ability BRV Gain B Sphere

Increases BRV by 40% of INT BRV after using ability, once per turn *Also applies to abilities changed from BRV Attack, HP Attack

A little while after Machina’s LD dropped, Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy XV and Ardyn Izunia (Ardyn Lucis Caelum) from Final Fantasy XV showed up.

Was able to get their full kits, including their Burst weapons, so I ended up using them way more than Machina.

As a result of that, I ended up kinda regretting giving Yang’s Sphere to Machina, to the point that I actually considered removing it from him.

It’s still on him now because I didn’t want to use a Reset Stone to remove it (a Reset stone will ensure you can remove the Sphere without losing it), and I didn’t know who else to give it to anyway. But I thought I’d definitely remove it if I had someone to give it to.

Much, much later, I heard that Machina got a Burst weapon in the Japanese version of DFFOO. Was so hyped when I heard about that.

Because I do like Machina. Now I planned to pull for his Burst and fully build him, including giving him triple real Spheres.

Been looking forward to the arrival of Machina’s BT. I’m glad that time will soon be upon us.

So now I’m preparing by trying to decide what I’ll do about his Spheres. Should I replace Yang’s Sphere? If yes, then what should I give to him instead? What about his other Sphere Slots?

Also bought Machina’s High Armor already. Too bad it can’t be Realized yet. Because yes, I’m also going to upgrade his High Armor to Blue.

Machina already has his Bloom Stone and all of his Boards have already been completed. So now I’m just waiting for his Burst weapon.

Aside from Bluing Machina’s High Armor, I’m also planning to upgrade his Burst to Burst+ or BT+ 3/3 or Green. He’s all set to be my second BT+ 3/3 char. The first one was Ace from Final Fantasy Type-0.

Where and how to get Machina’s Burst weapon?

Now about the Savage Winds: Elvoret Raid banner 1. Haven’t made up my mind yet on whether I should gem or ticket this banner.

Yes, I want Machina’s Burst and, one way or the other, I will have it. Just need to decide how I’m gonna get it.

Right now, I already have more than 50 Burst Tokens so I can use these to exchange for Machina’s BT the moment it becomes available in the Burst weapons shop.

Could also just use gems to pity his BT. I do have more than enough to be able to do so.

Aside from this banner that features Paine’s LD, Machina’s Burst will also show up on the following banners:

banner with Snow Villiers’s (from Final Fantasy XIII) LD and Lion’s (from Final Fantasy XI) LD

banner with Cinque’s (from Final Fantasy Type-0) LD and Ursula’s (from Final Fantasy IV) LD

Already have Lion’s LD as well as the rest of her weapons.

Have all of Snow’s weapons except for his LD but he’ll be getting a Burst weapon in the future and when that happens, his LD will be featured on a banner with Lyse Hext’s (from Final Fantasy XIV) LD.

So I can just pull on that banner and get the chance to obtain 2 new LDs and 1 BT. That banner even features Leon’s (Leonhart from Final Fantasy II) Ex which is one of the few Ex weapons that I’m still missing.

So planning to just skip Snow’s LD banner now aside from the free pull. Because of course we’re also getting free draws on all these banners.

Man, DFFOO is too good and generous. Final Fantasy Record Keeper (FFRK), please take notes.

The Cinque and Ursula banner is kinda appealing because I’m missing both of the featured LDs there.

Ursula’s gonna be the latest playable char in this game so I don’t have any of her other weapons yet.

Cinque’s outdated already though and I don’t really know anything about Ursula’s kit so I don’t know how good or meta she is. Haven’t really heard much talk about her so she doesn’t seem like a must-have or something.

On the other hand, I’ve been hearing a lot of talk about how good Paine is as well as how unique she is.

Depending on her current position in the party, she can be a debuffer or buffer. If she’s in the middle slot, then she can be both.

Kinda interested in her but not sure it’s worth it to gem her banner. Maybe I should just try my luck with tickets. Hmm. Definitely need to think about this some more.

If I gem Paine’s LD banner, then I’ll have a higher chance of getting Machina’s Burst.

I’d love to be able to Green Machina’s BT the moment it shows up but I shouldn’t use my Tokens yet to exchange for it.

I need to wait until all the free draws for all of his banners are over before using my Tokens.

The chances of this happening are pretty slim but still, what if a free draw gives me Machina’s Burst? I don’t want to spend 50 Tokens only to end up with a dupe on a free pull.

But if I gem Paine’s banner and just happen to get Machina’s Burst on the way to getting her LD then I can Green it right away and won’t need to wait anymore. My Tokens can also be used on another Burst.

Is it really worth it to gem Paine’s LD though? Sure, she seems good to have, but I don’t think she’s all that necessary. I do have lots of other supports and debuffers already.

And it really seems like a waste to gem a banner where I’m only really after 1 or 2 weapons. Maybe I’m better off just using tickets here then I can save my gems for other upcoming banners.

Heck, the Cinque and Ursula banner seems way better if only because at least I’m missing a lot more weapons there.

Savage Winds: Elvoret Raid Banner 1 Free First Multi-Draw Results

Much later: at long last, after what feels like forever, the first Machina BT banner is finally here.

The free multi-draw on the Savage Winds: Elvoret Raid banner 1 gave me a gold orb which turned into a dupe of Paine’s Ex. Aww, too bad that hadn’t been her LD instead.

Anyway, after thinking about it some more, decided to just use tickets on the Savage Winds: Elvoret Raid banner 1.

Thanks to Fran’s (from Final Fantasy XII) LD showing up for free and the new events and such that we’ve been having (I talk more about all of these in other posts), have plenty of tickets (714, to be more precise).

I know the chances of getting Machina’s Burst via tickets will be really low but it’s fine.

I plan to just wait and then Token it after the Ursula and Cinque banner shows up unless I happen to get it via the other free multi-draws we’ll be having.

Got the usual bonze and silver trash and gold dupes while pulling. Then, a bit later on, a gold orb showed up.

I thought I was gonna get something crappy again since I kept seeing bronze and silver crap.

Then the last item appeared. It was the only gold on this pull and it turned out to be -

My very first copy of Paine’s LD! Hell, yes! So happy to see this.

Still have 634 tickets left when Paine’s LD showed up. Missed out on Machina’s BT but still happy anyway since Paine’s LD came home. Done with this banner now.

Paine from Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2

Purpled Paine’s Ex and MLB’d her LD. Completed all of her Summon Boards. Got her Bloom Stone. Bought her High Armor and Realized it to 0/3.

Unlocked the tiles on her Char Boards that would give me her LD Call ability and LD extension passive.

Equipped Paine with triple RF Spheres. It took a while but I also managed to get her triple of her preferred Artifacts - 3 ATK 108 with Warrior of the Gullwings Boost★★ (Raises own INT BRV, MAX BRV, ATK, DEF by 5% while Dressphere active).

Machina Kunagiri from Final Fantasy Type-0

Don’t have Machina’s BT yet but since his High Armor can now be upgraded, I decided to spend the resources to Blue it already.

A bit later on, I also finally decided what to do about Machina’s Spheres. Chose to keep Yang’s and Celes’s Spheres equipped to him.

Then I Purpled a dupe Vayne Carudas Solidor (from Final Fantasy XII) Ex for his Sphere.

Machina now has the following Spheres:

I thought I’d get the best of both worlds and give Machina both an ATK up and BRV damage up Sphere. He even gets MAX BRV up as well thanks to Yang’s Sphere.

The Intersecting Wills: Parted Hopes banner features the following chars and their weapons:

The only things I’m missing on this banner are Snow’s LD and Machina’s BT.

Intersecting Wills: Parted Hopes Banner Free First Multi-Draw Results

I still plan to just skip this banner other than doing the free first multi-draw that we’re getting thanks to the currently ongoing winter campaign.

I can just pull for Snow’s LD when he gets his BT because it really feels like a waste to pull on this banner when I’m only missing 2 items here.

Snow’s LD and BT banner with Lyse’s LD and Leon’s Ex is way better for me since I have the potential to get more new relics from there.

But apparently the game wants me to have Snow’s LD right now because I just did the free multi-draw and this showed up at the end -

My very first copy of Snow’s LD! Hell, yes! Also, welp. Color me surprised. Was totally not expecting this at all. But super thankful and very pleased to see this.

Man, did I mention that I love DFFOO? Because I really do love this game. Sure, there are some things that I don’t like about it, but there are plenty of things to love about this game.

Anyway, aside from Snow’s LD, also ended up with a dupe of his Ex. Now I really am done with this banner.

Gentle Fist Banner

The Gentle Fist banner features the following chars and their weapons:

Gentle Fist Banner Free First Multi-Draw Results

As part of the currently ongoing winter campaign, we get a free multi-draw on the Gentle Fist banner.

The free pull gave me a dupe of Cinque’s 15cp. Meh.

Gentle Fist Banner Tickets Pulls Results

Currently have 944 tickets on hand.

Decided to use 40 of them. One 10-pull gave me my first copies of Ursula’s 15cp and 35cp. This also automatically recruited her into my party.

The rest of my pulls gave me crap. Still have plenty of tickets so was wondering if I should keep going.

After thinking about it some more, decided not to. Sure, Ursula and Cinque would be nice to have but neither seemed all that necessary. Also didn’t think I’d really build either of them even if I manage to snag their LDs.

Besides, the next event after this one will mark the beginning of the Crystal Level and Level 90 Awakenings.

A few chars will be Awakened so they can now go from Crystal Level and Level 80 to 90. Neither Ursula nor Cinque will be Awakenable yet so I think I’m better off just pulling for them during Ursula’s Lost Chapter event banner.

Machina Kunagiri from Final Fantasy Type-0

All the banners featuring Machina’s Burst weapon are now here. Didn’t get his BT from any of my pulls, free or otherwise, so now it’s time. I can finally use my Burst Tokens to get Machina’s BT.

Exchanged 50 of my BT Tokens to get Machina’s Burst Weapon, Dreadnaughts (0).

As soon as I got it, wasted no time in spending the Book and Ingots needed to upgrade it to Green or BT+ 3/3.

Equipped it to Machina. Now he’s finally complete. Can’t wait to start using him.

Show Notes 108A Duped - Part 1

Down the rabbit hole we go, Agents!

Let’s jump right in!

Miranda and I started this episode with some fun facts about ourselves. Mine was that I once got a pillow from Sargento that said “Sweet dreams are made of cheese,” because I complimented it online.

First of all, here’s the song it references.

Now, here are the tweets of how it happened. Here’s the Tweet I saw from Warehouse 13 co-creator and legendary TV writer/producer, Jane Espenson and the conversation that followed:

And at this very moment, that pillow is serving as a laptop cushion.

Now, onto the show.

This week’s writer appreciation focused on another writing team, Benjamin Raab and Deric A. Hughes who shared some awesome behind-the-scenes pix with us on twitter! After we released the episode, Ben tweeted at us and told us the crew let Ben and Deric cameo on every episode they wrote/produced. Here’s the pic from “Duped!” They were on the elevator with Pete!

We got that tweet and some good corrections and fun facts from Ben and Deric themselves! What up, dudes‽

Miranda says that we start the episode “en media res” which means “in the middle of things” in Latin. Here’s a link to what it means in terms of narrative storytelling.

Great work by the costuming/hair/makeup team on emphasizing all the subtle ways that Myka was Not Normal™

We also have a good laugh talking about how Pete miscategorizes Alice in Wonderland as Chick Lit.

Alice in Wonderland is obviously not Chick Lit (although there’s nothing wrong with Chick Lit).

This led us to a brief discussion of how Miranda’s sister trolls her by calling “Doctor Who” Mister Who. That already wasn’t accurate, but now it’s especially inaccurate as The Doctor is a woman! As a side note, I personally would buy a T-Shirt that said “Mister Who” on it just to make a laugh. Anyone else? Anyone?

Next up, Miranda noticed that Pete was wearing a North Canton, Ohio t-shirt and connected the dots that Eddie McClintock himself is from North Canton. Further proof that Eddie and Pete are essentially the same person.

Speaking of Eddie, this is also the episode where we learned that Eddie was voted the 82nd Sexiest Man Alive, according to TVBuddy. Alas, alack, the link to the list is now dead. So I can’t link it. I tried.

Next, we talked about how amazing Eddie is at doing an impersonation of Myka sticking her neck out when she’s mad.

In the Warehouse, an artifactified disco ball plays Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive.”

When Act II starts we get some really orange lighting that plays right into our color theory. I couldn’t find a picture of that scene and Amazon won’t let me screenshot, but, in general, most cinematography of Myka in this episode is very orange. Here are a couple examples of how orange most things are that involve Alice in this episode:

Then we got the introduction of Gary and Jillian Whitman—this week’s red herring bad guys and focus of this week’s dual Actor’s Spotlight, courtesy of Miranda.

Gary was played by Niall Matter.

Miranda recommended watching the TV show he was on called The Best Years.

Jillian (my name-thief) was played by Erica Cerra.

Miranda noticed a subtle Walt Whitman reference and gave the dates of his life and Lewis Carroll’s/Charles Dodgson’s life.

There will be a lot more information about Lewis Carroll/Charles Dodgson in the show notes for Part 2 of this episode.

Then we talked about how Artie was a tad too aggressive in telling Claudia to “back off!” and how this all reminded us of a scene in The Importance of Being Earnest where two characters grumpily eat cakes. Miranda later specified that it reminded her of the scene where Jack and Algernon eat muffins. Meanwhile, it reminded me of the scene where Gwendolen and Cecily get passive-aggressive over whether tea should be enjoyed with bread and butter or with cake.

Here’s a snippet of the scene Miranda was thinking of:

Algernon. If it was my business, I wouldn’t talk about it. [Begins to eat muffins.] It is very vulgar to talk about one’s business. Only people like stock-brokers do that, and then merely at dinner parties.

Jack. How can you sit there, calmly eating muffins when we are in this horrible trouble, I can’t make out. You seem to me to be perfectly heartless.

Algernon. Well, I can’t eat muffins in an agitated manner. The butter would probably get on my cuffs. One should always eat muffins quite calmly. It is the only way to eat them.

Jack. I say it’s perfectly heartless your eating muffins at all, under the circumstances.

Here’s a snippet of the scene I was thinking of:

Cecily. May I offer you some tea, Miss Fairfax?

Gwendolen. [With elaborate politeness.] Thank you. [Aside.] Detestable girl! But I require tea!

Cecily. [Sweetly.] Sugar?

Gwendolen. [Superciliously.] No, thank you. Sugar is not fashionable any more. [Cecily looks angrily at her, takes up the tongs and puts four lumps of sugar into the cup.]

Cecily. [Severely.] Cake or bread and butter?

Gwendolen. [In a bored manner.] Bread and butter, please. Cake is rarely seen at the best houses nowadays.

Cecily. [Cuts a very large slice of cake, and puts it on the tray.] Hand that to Miss Fairfax.

[Merriman does so, and goes out with footman. Gwendolen drinks the tea and makes a grimace. Puts down cup at once, reaches out her hand to the bread and butter, looks at it, and finds it is cake. Rises in indignation.]

Gwendolen. You have filled my tea with lumps of sugar, and though I asked most distinctly for bread and butter, you have given me cake. I am known for the gentleness of my disposition, and the extraordinary sweetness of my nature, but I warn you, Miss Cardew, you may go too far.

Both of those scenes take place in Act II.

While we’re on the subject, I played Cecily in the Importance of Being Earnest, so I’m legally obligated to share a couple photos of that as proof:

As a final note on the matter, you can read the entire play from project Gutenberg here (and I recommend that you do, because it’s one of my all-time faves.).

Later, Miranda and I wondered if the infinity tattoo on Myka’s ankle was Joanne Kelly’s or was something Alice did when they got to Vegas. I think someone tweeted at us about this awhile ago. If anyone has that info, I’ll update the show notes with that and credit to the Tweeter.

After that, we discussed Myka’s/Alice’s casual mention of Carson’s Rule of Linear Transfer and her assertion that it means “forced outcomes require tangency.” I posited that this rule is not a mathematic or scientific principle but rather a warehouse-specific rule. The only Carson’s Rule that Miranda and I could find when researching this was an unrelated rule about bandwidth. Backing up a little bit in the episode, we discussed a little bit about the history of disco and disco clubs via exerpts from a written interview with Professor Carol Cooper.

She spoke with us about Studio 54, Vaughn Harper, and the roots of a Studio 54 laying in a black-owned club called Leviticus.

I didn’t mention it in the episode, but that makes the club in Empire (also named Leviticus) a truly nicely named homage to history. Bustle.com did a deep dive on that fact here.

Relatedly, when the disco ball drops earlier in the warehouse, Claudia does her own take on the Saturday Night Fever dance…

…then devastates Artie by incorrectly dating the Disco Era. Find approximate dates and more info here.

Then Miranda compared Deanna Troi from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Tara Maclay from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

First of all, the episode of Buffy that we referenced was Season 4, Episode 16 “Who Are You?”

Second of all, we made a Buffy reference, so… You know… Take a shot.

Then we talked about Myka’s reaction to Pete referencing a rabbit’s foot as a lucky charm.

That was both a great reference to the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland…

…and a great reference to keychains from the 1990s and early 2000s. For those who don’t understand that reference, I was gonna link to some funny pictures from that era, but googling “rabbit’s foot” actually led me to down a sad path, so… like.. Not gonna share that.

Then we talked about how Pete saying “Kirk out

…was an improvised line that referenced Captain James T. Kirk on Star Trek: The Original Series and the communicators they used as well as to the flip phones from the era just before warehouse 13 premiered.

Then, both Ben Raab and Eddie McClintock explained that the reaction on set to Eddie saying “Kirk out!” looked something like this…

…until the network gave them the all-clear.

Winding things down for this episode, Miranda and I figured out what a Roulette table looked like:

…and appreciated Claudia’s knowledge of CIA laser mics. Turns out, laser microphones are really a thing!

Finally, for this week’s

~HEAVY THEMES~

…we talked about how off-putting Miranda and I found it when Alice (as Myka) drank both on the job and in front of Pete.

if ya just want an actual summary and not that MESS:

Technoblade starts the stream in his house. the first thing he does is put another piece of fanart in his house, this one by snumkt on twitter. he goes to l’manburg, where he sneaks around very sneakily (/s) and replaces anti-techno propaganda with pro-techno fanart, stating that “If they take it down, it’s ‘cause they hate fanartists.” (00:09:18).

While placing posters, Techno checks in on his hound army, and reveals that he thinks someone had been in the area, because a wolf teleported to him while he was home. He thinks someone placed water, the dog stood up, and then teleported. (00:18:25)

After breeding the dogs, Techno reads donations and one of the questions is about the SBI family dynamics. Here’s what he says at 00:20:55

He then meets up with Philza, who is being escorted by Tubbo. Techno goes to Philzas house, and hides in his new basement. He joins their VC and finds Phil, Wilbur, Tommy, and Tubbo. talking about birthdays. Tubbo goes to the basement and sees Technos invis particles, hits him, and he is revealed. Techno kills tubbo, and declares it canon as a joke.

He goes back outside, deafened on Discord, and puts down more propaganda. Philza joins his call, and they meet up to try and find Technos stolen items. They don’t find the barrel, but they do find a hidden room under the podium. Techno puts a piece of propaganda in the room. (00:43:30)

While Phil is killing an enderman, Ranboo finds them, and is killed by Techno. (00:46:25)

Techno takes Phil to see his Hound Army, but they’re stopped by Tubbo. Techno tries to pretend to be Ranboo, but Ranboo goes up to them, so his cover is blown. Techno’s chased to the portal. Phil and Techno meet again in the Nether, and they go back to the house.

At the house, Phil and Techno talk about the SBI characters, the sellout timer goes off, and then they go downstairs to cure a zombie villager. While it’s curing, Techno gathers books to make a new bow, with Power V, Punch II, Unbreaking III, Flame, and Mending.

Philza reveals that Ranboo is coming over to give Phil a present. Techno seems excited at this, mostly at the fact that Ranboo can be his new bows test subject.

Before Ranboo arrives, the villager is cured, and they find out it is a nitwit, meaning it can’t trade or get a job. Techno and Phil start working on a tunnel to bring the villager to a lava pool, so the other villagers won’t gossip and raise their prices.

Ranboo joins the call at 01:15:35, right before they’re going to bring the villager to the lava pool. He gifts Techno and Phil four Netherite ingots.

After struggling to get the villager to the right height, Techno forces Ranboo to boat the villager into the lava. Ranboo escapes by throwing a pearl, and the villager dies.

Ranboo, Techno, and Phil talk about duping Netherite, and the current plot, and then Techno finds a zombie baby villager. It’s caught in a boat, and Techno nametags it ‘Orphan.’ They talk about the cobblestone tower, Philzas’ death to a baby zombie, and how if you don’t see a child's parents, you should assume that they are an orphan and attack them.

Techno talks to Jack Manifold through chat about his axe. Techno, Philza, and Ranboo go around and look for zombie villagers. Techno finds an igloo, with two villagers. Techno was going to try and turn them into zombie villagers, but decides to not when he finds out that theres a 0% chance of that happening on Easy mode.

They all go back to Orphan, and bully it when they find out it still hasn’t grown up. Techno and Ranboo make a joke about how it’s traumatized, so it’ll be funny and can be come a minecraft youtuber. please get some help. (01:48:15)

After Orphan grows up, Techno trades and gets the Bottle of Enchanting trade for one emerald. They all joke about Techno owning an orphanage at 01:51:35.

Phil, Techno, and Ranboo decide go to the Hound Army, but Techno remembers that Ranboo is part of L’manburg, and tries to kill him (with his new bow) when they enter the nether. He doesn’t succeed, and he continues fighting until he drinks and invis pot on the Prime Path. Techno and Phil meet up in the Bee Dome, where Ranboo finds them. Techno tries to kill him, but runs out of arrows.

After reading donations, Techno, Ranboo, and Phil are back together at the Bee Dome, and they decide to team up in case someone finds them. They go outside of the Dome, and chase Jack Manifold out of his own country.

Manifold joins the VC, and they try to blame Punz on his attempted murder. After Manifold says “i feel there has been an attempt on my life,” Techno says that that’s how he greets people in his country.

Manifold asks if they want to help him get revenge on Punz, and Techno agrees. They gather more people, and by the time they get to Punz’s tower, their party is Manifold, Techno, Phil, Ranboo, Fundy, and Antfrost. Punz is in the Nether, so they wait until he gets back.

Ranboo and Techno have a whisper conversation:

Ranboo: are you just going to jump fundy

Techno: no im gonna make jack 1v1 LMAO

Ranboo: good plan

While Fundy is taking a screenshot of Techno for his thumbnail, Philza attacks Fundy with a crossbow and his sword. He claims it was because he was getting bored.

In the same spirit, Techno asks if they could kill Manifold to pass the time. The mob, which now includes Fundy, chases Manifold. He runs to the Holy Land, and the mob boos him. Techno tells Antfrost to kill Manifold, and that the mob won’t tell that he was killed in the Holy Land. Manifold hands Antfrost his sword.

While Antfrost debates killing Manifold or not, the mob chants ‘peer pressure!’ at him. Techno quickly realizes that Antfrost isn’t in the VC, and is extremely confused. The sword gets handed to Fundy, who gets into a battle with Manifold. Philza tells Fundy that he’s forgiven, if he can kill Manifold. The battle calms, and neither of the contestants die.

Techno convinces the mob to go to the pit trap, and tries to lure someone onto the trapped blocks using rotten flesh. Fundy takes the bait, but moves out of the way before the button is pressed. Antfrost sneaks up behind him and punches him into the pit. Fundy survives the fall, but is shot by Manifold to death.

During the commotion, Punz makes his way back to his house, and the mob moves towards him to end his life. Manifold says that he’s going to kill Punz, and Techno says that the mob’ll have his back. He tells the mob to not have Manifold’s back.

at 02:17:00, Punz joins the call, and is confused as to why Manifold wants to kill him. Manifold explains that Punz tried to kill him, siting his source as Technoblade.

also, 2:17:15 technoswear!

Techno encourages Punz, saying “Punz, he actually dropped his sword by accident and now I have it, so it’d be really easy to beat him up,” and “he also just killed in the holy land, so you have a sort of...religious motivation to take him out.”

Punz tries to fight Manifold without armor (Manifold is wearing a full enchanted set of armor, with a Netherite chestplate and everything else Diamond), which fails miserably, and Manifold is killed.

Techno decides to fight Manifold with his goons (the mob) for the audience retention, and Manifold’s quickly killed. The final hit was from CaptainPuffy. Ponk rushes in and grabs some of Manifold’s items. Puffy takes the rest.

Manifold complains about getting bullied, so Techno gives him his sword back and tells him to avenge himself. While looking for Ponk (or Punz? this is kinda unclear), Punz swoops in and kills Manifold in two hits.

Manifold finds Ponk and chases after him, trying to kill him. The mob follows, and Ranboo kills Ponk with thorns. Manifold takes Ponks stuff.

Right after respawning, Ponk was blown up by a creeper, and Techno claimed both as canon.

The mini fights continue, and Manifold is killed by Punz.

Ranboo changes the ‘Days since last war crime’ sign to 0.

Phil tells Techno that he’s going back to the base, and the L’manburgians question him as to what base he’s talking about. Phil tells Fundy that he ripped off his ankle shackles and left. While they talk, Techno starts running back to the base, and Ranboo whispers “lets run back” to him. Ranboo follows Techno, but quickly looses him.

Phil and Techno join a separate VC together and they go back to the base.

At 02:29:15, Phil says “I trust you” to Techno and I am going to cry.

Right before getting to the base, Phil drinks some honey, and Techno says “that’s the only thing we have honey for, now that we’ve uh...uh I guess you don’t know about that.” He’s referring to the Vault, I think, because the redstone required honey to work properly.

Philza responds, “the honey- wait, what did you use the honey for?”

“uhhh....food.” Techno, for some reason, doesn’t want to show Phil the vault.

Ranboo whispers to Techno: “My alliance isnt with lmanburg, its with the people who help me. phil helped me.”

out loud, Techno laughs about it with phil, saying, “well, I’ve stabbed him like twelve times this week, so, I [laughs] I don’t know if that entirely qualifies here.”

Techno messages Ranboo back with “new phone who this”

Ranboo replies, “no one,” and then, “:)”

Going back to the honey talk, Philza asked if Techno had been hiding anything diabolical from him, and Techno asks if he would do such a thing. Philza guesses several things he could use honey for, such as a flying machine, TNT dupers, and a door.

Techno takes him to the vault. 02:32:00. i LOVE peoples reactions to the vault, it’s always so good. Philza responds with a surprised ‘HOLY SHIT’ and some laughing. Techno also confirms my math of 55 withers.

02:34:10 “i’ve seen this government, on the server, and everything to do with government is just bad. I’ve watched it completely destroy and tear down people’s wills and change people, I’ve seen it change the nicest people into complete and utter tyrants, so...I think it’s about time--”

Let’s Review || Chapter 3

Peter Parker knew that his big sister would do anything for him to be safe and happy. She’d given up everything for him twice over already and would do it again in a heartbeat. And that’s why, when the criminal mastermind Tony Stark started inextricably following him around, he didn’t say a word. Because he knew without a doubt Penny would do whatever she had to if it meant keeping Peter safe. He had to protect her, just like she always protected him. He never considered what would happen if Stark decided both Parker siblings were worth taking. Never considered who else in Stark’s inner circle would agree. Penny had sent Peter off to bed before allowing herself to cry for a solid two hours until she passed out on the couch in her work clothes. Waking up was a trial, her head was pounding and she hadn’t pulled the curtains over the living room window closed before falling asleep so it was ten times brighter than it needed to be. She hadn’t set an alarm, but she could hear Peter moving around in the bedroom so it was around 6 AM.

“Peter, you good?” She called out absently, the usual morning greeting that meant ‘are you moving fast enough to make it to school on time?’

“I’m good,” his voice was quieter than usual, dejected in a way that broke a piece of her heart.

She sat up on the couch and put her face in her hands, elbows digging sharply into her thighs. Everything felt off, like the earth had shifted on its axis but only by a few degrees. There had been several times in her life when everything had changed in the blink of an eye. Her entire world stopped spinning, first when her mom and dad died, then again with uncle Ben, and again with aunt May. Every time it had eventually started back again, but she’d always had an anchor.

She’d always had Peter, when everything went wrong. Having to start from scratch, to rebuild her entire life, was always possible because she had Peter. He was her rock, her reason for pushing forward to fix everything that went wrong. To restabilize.

When she’d been date raped in a club in Queens half a year ago, it had been traumatic. Brock had been sniffing around for ages before she finally agreed to go out with him and then he turned into a fucking monster at the drop of a hat, the piece of shit. She hadn’t meant to let Peter find out about any of it. She’d called a friend to get her from the club, to help her home. She’d been traumatized and angry, half drugged by the time they got to the apartment and screaming about the injustice.

Peter had helped her into the shower, sent her friend off for food, and held her while she screamed and cried and otherwise lost her fucking mind. By the next morning she’d gotten a note slipped under the door, essentially telling her to fuck off and keep her mouth shut or else. As if she’d even considered going to the police— what would she have said? ‘This dude I talked to for months slipped me drugs and raped me in the back of a club. No, there were no witnesses. No, I didn’t call the police. No, I didn’t go to the hospital.’ Stupid. She’d been stupid, as always.

Getting into such a stupid situation had spiraled into a rabbit hole of almost inconceivable bad luck. If she hadn’t let herself get duped in that stupid club, Peter never would’ve gone to Stark Tower. Never would’ve gotten spotted by the man himself. And now, she wouldn’t have Peter with her when she rebuilt after this most recent, life altering tragedy.

But he would be safe. There wasn’t anything else that she needed, or could hope for, other than Peter’s safety. Besides, prison might be a nice reprieve from the 108 hour work weeks she currently endured. And they had hospitals in prison, maybe they had dentists? She hadn’t been to the dentist since before aunt May died. Would she go to prison or jail? Penny didn’t know the difference between the two, honestly.

Standing up from the couch, her eyes landed on her laptop. It was sitting open on the dining room table, plugged in because it was so old it never held a charge. She should make a to-do list for the day, starting with calling into all three of her jobs and making Peter breakfast before he had to leave for school. There was a lot she had to get done before her brother got home from school today.

“Hey Pen, have you seen my biology textbook?”

“No babe, check the table by the front door,” she stretched her arms over her head and yawned, trying to work some of the kinks out of her body from sleeping on the couch, “do you have enough time to stick around for breakfast?”

Peter stopped on the other side of the couch, watching his sister act like it was a normal day, a frown on his face. They always joked that he was the smart one. Peter could recite pi to the 40th digit, explain thermodynamics, and had gotten into a super prestigious science academy on scholarship. Usually, he’d call himself the logical sibling, the one who could see the best course of action and follow it.

But looking at his sister he was realizing there was a level of maturity missing from his logical thinking. He might’ve been the smarter one, but Penny was the one who was going to get them through this hellscape. She was calm, he could see in her eyes that the wheels were turning and that she was in so much pain, but she was calm and collected and was going to work through the day to make sure her batshit crazy plan worked out so that he would be safe.

“Yeah, I’ve got time.”

“Sounds good,” she stripped her socks off clumsily while walking into the kitchen, dropping them on the floor as she went, “hey, open up all of the bills on the counter and leave them scattered around while I cook. I want it to look like I’ve been ignoring them and they’re covered in crap.”

Peter dropped his head back, staring up at the ceiling blankly. Penny was pretty good at covering up her emotions but the level of dissociation she was currently displaying was impressive. He retrieved all of the bills from the basket on the kitchen counter and brought them into the living room, dropping them onto the laptop’s keyboard and kicking his feet up on the table before he began ripping them open. He tossed the empty envelopes over his shoulder absently as he went while arranging the bills into a pile to be thrown strategically around later.

“Maybe I should see if Flash will beat me up today at school,” he cringed at the $95 electric bill, knowing that was pretty high for them, “some bruises and cuts might help us when the social workers show up.”

“Don’t get yourself beat up, bud, you don’t have enough padding on your bones to keep everything from snapping under pressure.”

“Well maybe if you actually fed me sometimes, you neglectful monster.”

“Savage, Peter!” Penny’s gasp from the kitchen was full of laughter despite the painful conversation, “keep that up for the social worker.”

“So aside from trashing my things, throwing out anything edible in the kitchen, and destroying the apartment, have anything fun planned today?”

The sound of Penny cursing, followed by the loud clang of a pan hitting the floor had Peter shifting in his seat, angling around to see through the doorway to the kitchen. She hadn’t hurt herself and there was no mess, so he didn’t bother getting up to go help.

“Actually,” she made a pathetic sound upon realizing the milk in the fridge was expired, “fuck. Oh, actually I’m gonna go get my hair and nails done. So it looks like I blow our money on frivolous things instead of like, food and clothes for you.”

“Nice, you should get one of those stupid expensive coffees from those hipster places on your way back. Just for emphasis.”

Once Penny actually managed to cook, she was pretty good at it. She usually cooked what she could for all major Jewish holidays when their budget could stretch to accommodate it. Otherwise she didn’t get around to it all that often, except on her days off, so Peter considered it a treat when she made breakfast for him before school. She shoved the laptop back on the table and put a plate down in its place, revealing a heaping egg scramble and toast.

“I think we have some major issues,” Peter stated casually as they ate, avoiding the chunks of turkey bacon to save for the end, “I’m pretty sure we shouldn’t be joking about today. Or tomorrow. Or any of it.”

“I figure we’ve got two options,” Penny kicked her feet up next to his, balancing her plate in her lap, “Cry about it or laugh about it. We cried about it last night and it gave me a headache. So, might as well try laughing.”

Peter shrugged but nodded in agreement, “So I think I’m gonna become a supervillain.”

“Oh? Why?”

“I could break you out of jail, bring down Tony Stark and all his minions, steal a whole bunch of money and then we could abscond off to some private island and live the rest of our lives in peace.”

“Except for when you have to go be a supervillain?”

“Yeah, exactly.”

Penny gave a barking laugh and leaned over to shuffle a hand annoyingly through his hair, letting him slap her away like usual. The casual, relaxed attitude they shared was obviously forced, their eyes were full of despair, but they could at least pretend for a while. Pretending that everything was okay would at least get them through the next few days.

“Alright you dope, head to school. I’ll see you when you get home.”

Peter stood up from the table and pulled Penny up after him, wrapping her into a tight hug. He’d grown over the last year and stood several inches taller than her now. Sometimes, hugging her now felt weird because for so long he’d been smaller than her. He vividly remembered being engulfed in her arms, being surrounded by her scent and warmth and how safe it always made him feel. He hoped that she felt the same way he used to, that his hugs made her feel warm and fuzzy.

“See you after school,” he choked out after a moment, pulling away and darting out of the room without looking at her too closely.

It would hurt too much.

Nobody had left the living room, other than Rhodey, in over 12 hours now. Steve and Bucky were still in the recliner together, eyes glued to the TV screen showing the Parker’s living room. Peter had left for school about 20 minutes ago and Penelope Actual Angel Parker had disappeared into the bathroom.

Clint had ordered food from the kitchens about an hour ago and was waiting by the elevator for the chefs to drop it off. They’d all lamented the fact they couldn’t eat the breakfast Penny made with the Parker siblings but had satisfied themselves by listening in on their conversation with stalkerish intensity. Usually Penny didn’t leave the laptop sitting open when she wasn’t using it, so it had been another shocking revelation into their lives.

“Peter’s face while he was opening those bills makes me wonder if she usually hides them from him,” Bruce commented absently, cheek resting in his hand as he scrolled through the files on his laptop.

Instead of the lab reports from the previous night, he was looking through Penny and Peter’s medical histories—HIPAA be damned. Peter got regular physicals each year, was up to date on all of his vaccinations, had minor asthma but no other chronic issues. Penny’s medical history stopped around when her uncle Ben died and she dropped out of high school. She had all her vaccinations and was in the 2nd year of a 3 year birth control implant, no known conditions except for possible anemia. She hadn’t gone to the hospital after the rape, so he would need to run an STD panel just in case. A diet meant to promote weight gain might also be a good idea.

“I’m sure she didn’t want them to know how dire their situation was,” Wanda stated, “If given the chance, I would’ve hidden things like that from Pietro.”

“So they’re Jewish like y’all, right?” Sam squinted at the screen, pointing to a wall decoration in the apartment, “or is that a Buddhist thing?”

“A Hamsa,” she didn’t look up from her phone, having seen the wall decoration next to the window the first time she’d watched the webcam stream nearly a month ago, “they have it because they’re Jewish but it’s used in other cultures too.”

“Do we need to make sure we have anything… particularly Jew-y for them?”

Wanda finally looked up from her phone, eyebrow raised derisively, “did you get anything particularly Jew-y for me when I moved in?”

“I’m going to learn to make Challah,” Bucky intervened in the conversation before it could become a fight, having been looking up traditional Israeli and Jewish dishes for several hours now, “do you have any recipes Wanda?”

The two devolved into a conversation about homemade breads and the nuances of kosher foods, all the while Wanda scrolled through Peter and Penny’s bank statements. She was looking for their overall spending habits, what was bought for Peter and how often and when and what Penny bought for herself. The former list included the amount of clothing one would assume necessary for a growing teenage boy, along with an above average amount of groceries. There was far less fun stuff, like video games and extensive Lego sets (which they knew Peter loved). Usually those were bought around Peter’s birthday or near Hanukkah. Penny’s spending on herself was generally relegated to work clothes and toiletries, with the occasional splurge on nail polish.

“We had a Jewish neighbor growing up, you remember Buck? Ms. Goldstein made that soup,” Steve scratched his head, trying to remember the name of it but failing.

“Matzah ball soup,” Bucky supplied, glancing at the screen of Steve’s phone from his position in the man’s lap.

He’d started going through the Parker sibling’s social media accounts early in the morning, wondering who was going to put up a fuss over their potential disappearances and how much it was going to interfere with business. Not that it mattered, business was business and home and family came first but it still would be good to have a plan for any fallout.

Peter had all the social media accounts a teenager could want; Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat, TikTok, everything. He overshared on the internet just as much as any other Gen Z kid, although he seemed to favour Twitter and Instagram over the others. Instagram was updated almost daily with pictures of his friends, from school and clubs, pictures of scenery taken around New York. It was actually pretty cute and a touch artistic. He had a decent amount of followers on it too.

Penny on the other hand only had an Instagram page and a Pinterest. The former wasn’t updated much since their aunt May passed away, the recent pictures were mostly of food she’d made or of her and Peter on holidays. He wasn’t sure if the followers on her Pinterest were friends or strangers. There were a whole slew of cute pictures on her ‘Memories’ board, several of which Bucky watched Steve save to his phone. One in particular, of Penny squeezing Peter’s face close to hers while both stuck their tongues out at the camera, was saved as his new home screen.

It would be difficult to spirit either of the siblings away without some repercussions. Peter had some very close friends, MJ and Ned in particular, and was involved in tons of extracurricular activities. If he disappeared, an AMBER alert would go out within a day. Penny wasn’t particularly close to anyone, but she did have several coworkers who would notice very quickly if she went missing. She had been working in the same three places for 3 years and was a well-established and liked staff member.

“We may need to stage some sort of accident,” Steve rubbed a hand over his mouth as he scrolled through Peter’s Snapchat memories, “Peter’s friends are very close and Penny’s barely ever missed a day of work. People are going to cause a stink if they just disappear.”

“Car accident? Fire? Carbon monoxide?”

“Something that won’t leave behind a body,” Natasha drummed her fingers against her leg, humming in thought as the elevator opened and Clint retrieved the cart of food that had been sent up, “probably a fire. Or we could stage a kidnapping and blame it on someone else.”

“Both,” Clint had half of a croissant stuffed in his mouth, spitting out pieces as he spoke, “set up a kidnapping, burn some bodies, set it up to look like Penny and Peter.”

“Who’s the kidnapper?”

“How about this dumb mother fucker.”

Rhodey’s voice came from the stairwell, the man himself emerging while shoving a heavily beaten and gagged Brock Rumlow through the door. His arms were bound from the elbow down and he lost his balance, landing with a heavy thud only to be kicked hard in the side by the very angry James Rhodes and forced back to his feet.

“He confess?” Tony’s back was to them as Rhodey pushed him farther into the room, making himself a cup of coffee from the French press that had been sent up on the cart.

“More or less.”

One of the things Tony had learned over his long career was that anticipation was almost worse than a beating. Adrenaline was a devastating drug when applied as a method of torture. He could almost feel Rumlow’s heart beating faster, the sweat dripping down his brow. He hummed quietly, taking a sip of his coffee before nodding to himself and turning around.

Rhodey had the man on his knees near the coffee table, head bowed in a mixture of panic and fear. He was bleeding from the head, from his nose, dark bruises were beginning to bloom across the bridge of his nose and around his neck. Rhodes had done a number on the man in the last couple of hours.

“Did you send a letter to Penelope Parker, threatening her younger brother if she went to the police?” His voice was low and he crossed the living room in with an unhurried stride, coming to sit on the couch just inches away from where the man knelt.

The reply was muffled but obviously not a yes or no answer. Tony was well versed in what begging sounded like through a gag, how ‘please’ and ‘don’t hurt me’ came out when one’s tongue was held down by fabric. Brock Rumlow might’ve been a big bastard, but when confronted with his own mortality he became a simpering baby just like all the rest. In all honesty, Tony had a thing for begging anyway.

“Now that didn’t sound like the answer to the question I asked you.”

From his position in Steve’s lap Bucky pitched an empty wine glass at Rumlow’s face. The stem snapped off, the bowl of the glass breaking against his brow bone and leaving a jagged cut in its wake. Bruce rolled his neck at the sound of the rest of the glass hitting the ground and shattering, the sharp noise irritating his always present headache.

“You’re making us upset Brucie here, my man,” Tony stated with a flippant wave of his hand in the scientist’s direction, still taking small, satisfying sips of coffee, “which is a huge mistake. He gets pretty dangerous when you make him mad.”

The exact state of being of most of Tony’s close associates was more… fantastical, than most of the population. Mad scientists had been around for centuries and so had horrible things, like eugenics and human experimentation. He had a tendency to pick up strays at the best of times and the exciting strays, the ones who were really special, he fought to keep. It had started with Rhodey and Clint. They weren’t genetically altered, just insane at the best of times.

He’d met Rhodey in university. At the time, the man was being paid to watch Tony by his father and report back on his activities. Tony had paid better and overtime gained Rhodey’s loyalty as well as friendship. They’d been inseparable and Rhodey had been the one who thwarted Clint’s assassination attempt on Tony. It hadn’t been anything personal, of course, Clint was a world-renowned assassin and was one of the best—if you could pay him the right amount, he was willing to take out anyone. Then he’d been waylaid by a Very Angry Colonel Rhodes. Clint was easily persuaded to switch targets for the correct amount of money and soon Tony had come to see him as less of an employee and more of a friend.

Natasha and the Old Men had come next. From a situation similar to Clint’s, Natasha had been sent to off Tony. Not only had he offered her a better deal, but also protection from the Red Room, a branch of the former KGB that specialized in stealing little girls and genetically altering them. She didn’t hate the violence or the killing, she hated being controlled.

The freezer burned boyfriends had come along looking for Howard Stark, who had apparently betrayed them (and the United States as a whole, actually) in the 40’s in a whole bunch of exciting and horrible ways. Bucky had been traumatized, a veritable murder machine and Steve hadn’t been much better off. Tony had kept them out of the public eye so they could live in relative peace and in turn had become emotionally attached. Especially upon realizing that Bucky was likely his father’s unknowing murderer, which was endearing.

Bruce had been Tony’s next acquisition and the only deliberate one. There had been reports of some sort of monster raging across the globe. It had taken ages and lots of illegal activity in the form of JARVIS hacking satellites and cameras all over the world but they’d found Bruce hiding away in India, providing illicit medical attention to the poor. He’d been attempting to copy the Super Soldier Serum used on The Olds and turned himself into a monster in the process. Tony adored the man.

Then came Thor and his adopted brother Loki, who had been experimented on by their father from a very young age. They’d lost an older sister to a process of attempted Berserker serums and they themselves were forever genetically altered. Thor was in slightly better control of his rages than Loki, but both came to Tony seeking asylum when their father had decided to end his experiments and terminate all test subjects. They were strong and brutal and Thor’s loyalty was unwavering, which was nice because Loki’s only loyalty was to his brother. It was a compromise Tony could live with.

Sam and Wanda and Pietro had been picked up by Steve and Clint respectively, the former a veteran and counselor who turned to murder for hire after being honorably discharged from service and the latter a pair of genetic experiments who’d accidentally stumbled upon Clint after escaping imprisonment. All three had been brought back to the Tower and into the fold.

Pepper and Happy had been picked up along the way of course, his right and left hands for all intents and purposes. Pepper had helped him build the legitimate face of his business and Happy had run interference in all illegal aspects, as well as literally putting himself between Tony and danger.

A short whimper of sheer terror escaped Rumlow before he seemed to almost crumple in front of them, folding in half and hitting the ground. Tony raised an eyebrow as the man landed just a few inches from his foot and groaned in annoyance before dumping the rest of his coffee on the man.

“Don’t pass out on me now, Rumlow, we’ve got— Oh, would you look at that.”

Tony drew the attention of the whole room to the TV screen, where Penelope Precious Parker had emerged from the bathroom in clean clothes. Her long hair was dripping down her back, dampening her white t-shirt just enough that Tony sent Clint a look that said Watch Yourself, Pervert. The same look was not given to Steve or Bucky, although with the way their eyes followed the woman, it should’ve been.

Rhodey bent over and hauled Rumlow back to his knees, turning him to face the TV and yanking his head back, “You see her, Rumlow? You remember her?”

Another whimper, this one with enough inflection to mean ‘yes’. Tony nodded and let out a deliberate, disappointed sigh.

“Yeah, I thought you might say that. You see, that precious little thing has just become one of the most important people in the world. In my world. Her little brother, who you threatened after hurting her in such a despicable way? He is my world,” Tony rolled his shoulders and stood up, walking around the table to get a closer look at the TV.

Penny had sat down on the couch, still well within view of the webcam, and was pulling on a pair of socks. A pair of beat up tennis shoes were on the floor next to her, having been fished out of the trunk that doubled as an end table. Bucky shifted out of the corner of his eye, watching as her shorts rode up higher on her shapely thighs as she contorted to pull on her sneakers. She continued on to gather all of her wet hair into her hands, tying it into a big messy bun on the top of her head.

“I can’t imagine what you’re feeling right now,” he continued after a moment, “being confronted with your mistakes like this. You see, I go out of my way to not make mistakes. Or mistakes that could come back to haunt me, at least. I tie up my lose ends, I like pretty packages.”

“She’s a real pretty package,” Steve fucking sighed like a swooning school girl as Penny stood up and started shifting through some things on the table in front of her, bent over enough to offer an excellent view of her ass.

Tony snorted along with Sam and waved a dismissive hand in the blond’s direction. Steve and Bucky had been half infatuated with Penny when they thought she was a cruel, neglectful monster; now that they knew the truth, that Penny was precious and kind, they were falling in love just watching her through a screen.

“Now the point of this whole thing, unfortunately for you, is that you hurt Penny and you threatened Peter and by extension, you hurt and threatened me.”

There was a muffled ‘I didn’t know!’ through the gag and Tony Stark once again Did Not Roll His Eyes, because he was above that sort of thing.

“Of course not, that’s why this has to sting. You see, maybe if you just didn’t rape anyone this never would’ve happened. You never would’ve been in this situation. But instead you had to go and drug some poor girl and stick your disgusting dick in her and hurt her,” Tony rolled his head to the side and cracked his neck, “And once again, unfortunately for you, everything just kind of got more complicated from there. Because I’m not sure what to do with you at the moment.”

“Tones?” Rhodey’s eyebrows were furrowed, his hand still keeping Rumlow’s head in place.

“Right, right, let me explain to the room at large,” a flamboyant wave of Tony’s hand made everyone sit slightly straighter, “we have a couple of options going forward. The first, is take Peter and Penny, frame and kill Rumlow and be done with it,” several noises of agreement followed the sentence but Tony shook his hands again to quiet them, “Or, we could take the babies, frame Rumlow, but not kill him.”

“Why not kill him?”

“Because then we could let Peter do it. Or Penny,” Tony tapped chin and began to pace, “or, because they’re both going to be very upset in the first few months, we could use him as… incentive, to be good.”

“Hm, killing him in front of them is ballsy,” Sam stood over next to the cart of food, making himself a plate and a cup of coffee, “You want to induce Stockholm Syndrome, but the shock might be too much.”

“Are you worried about them reacting to a murder in general or like, feeling bad he was killed because of them?”

“Both, either,” Sam shrugged, “pick your favourite.”

“Why don’t we keep him around for a bit, we don’t necessarily have to make the decision today,” Steve suggested, shifting Bucky off of his lap and standing up.

The imposing man made his way towards Rumlow with his usual level of heavy swagger, natural as a result of his musculature and dimensions. Rhodey took several steps back at the approach, recognizing the glint of near ferality in the former Captain’s eyes. Getting in the blond’s way was in no one’s best interest and besides, Rhodey trusted the man implicitly. The man’s hand came down on Rumlow’s head almost gently, his fingers carding through his hair and tilting his head back to look him in the eyes. His face was swollen from Rhodey’s heavy hits already, but he could still see.

“Besides, me and Bucky are gonna need a playmate for a while. All that pent-up aggression—it’s gotta go somewhere, right, Brock?”

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Kadaj Imagining the Future Intersecting Wills Event

The Imagining the Future Intersecting Wills story event just started in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game.

This event introduced the Force and Burst weapons of Kadaj from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (#ad).

I pulled for Kadaj's latest and newest weapons, and I talk more about that in another post. Had to split these Kadaj posts into 2 since the first one was already nearing the max limit of 30 pics per post.

Kadaj from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

I like Kadaj from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children which is why mine is as fully built and maxed out as he can possibly be.

Currently, have his 15cp, 35cp, Ex, and LD fully MLB. His Ex has been Purpled or upgraded to Ex+ 3/3. He has his High Armor and it’s been Blued.

All of his Summon Boards, Character Enhancement Boards, and Force Enhancements have been completed. He has his Bloom Stone. He’s at Level 90 and Crystal Level 90.

Kadaj has 3 ATK 108 with Remnant Up★★ (While Latent Thoughts active: Raises own MAX BRV, ATK by 5%) Artifacts.

Kadaj is equipped with the following real Spheres:

Garland’s (from Final Fantasy I) Break Hit Raging Attack Up A Sphere

Raises ATK by 2% when inflicting Break or attacking target afflicted with Break up to 5 times, once per turn

Oerba Yun Fang’s (from Final Fantasy XIII) Break Hit Attack Up Longer A Sphere

Raises ATK by 10% for 6 turns when inflicting Break or attacking target afflicted with Break

The Emperor’s (from Final Fantasy II) Debuff Success Attack Up Longer E Sphere

Raises own ATK by 10% for 6 turns when inflicting debuff on target

So it was always my plan to pull for Kadaj’s Force and Burst weapons whenever said items finally showed up in the game.

Glad that Kadaj’s new weapons and latest upgrade make him really good.

It’s been a long while since I last got to use him so looking forward to once again fully maxing him out and getting to use him in some endgame content.

Anyway, after getting Kadaj's Force and Burst weapons, started leveling them up and upgrading them.

Ended up with 2 copies of Kadaj's Force weapon so used the dupe and 8 High Power Stones to fully MLB my first copy.

Then spent the Book and 3 Ingots needed to fully max out Kadaj's Burst weapon or get it to BT+ 3/3.

Also spent the points needed to max out Kadaj's Force Enhancements from Level 30 to Level 50. Completed the Character Enhancement Boards for his Force weapon as well.

Now my Kadaj is back to being fully complete and maxed out.

Have a Level 5 of 5 Special Ultima Weapon so equipped Kadaj with that as well.

Can't wait to try him out on some endgame content.

Thoughts about the Imagining the Future Intersecting Wills Story

Note: this section contains possible spoilers for the stories in Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia

Just finished playing through the Imagining the Future Intersecting Wills story event.

Found the story kinda meh. I mean, it was okay, but it feels like it could have been much better.

I remember that in previous stories that featured Kadaj, he was always going on about his mother. He even agreed to work together with Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII just to find his mother.

But, eventually, that issue was resolved. Kadaj soon learned not to be so obsessed or fixated with his mother. He stopped working with Sephiroth and went back to the side of the protagonists or Warriors of Light.

It's nice to see this improvement or change in Kadaj. Now that he's no longer so obsessed with his mother, he can focus on other things.

So it actually feels like a step backwards to see Kadaj in his Intersecting Wills story event going on about Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII. It's like he replaced one obsession with another, like he just turned his attention to someone else now.

Also, I may be misremembering, but I don't recall Kadaj interacting that much with Cloud in DFFOO. It feels like he spent more time with Zack Fair from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Aeris or Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII.

I wish we'd seen scenes of the 3 of them interacting with each other. I do like that Kadaj got to spend some time with a few other chars from other Final Fantasy series but still. I wish he'd been able to spend some time talking with Zack and Aerith too, especially considering their prior interactions in this game.

Thoughts about the Animation of Kadaj's Force and Burst Weapons

I like the animation of Kadaj’s Burst weapon since it features Sephiroth. The animation for his Ex weapon also features Sephiroth.

Not at all fond of the animation for Kadaj's Force weapon though. His FR partner is Xande from Final Fantasy III, and I really wish that wasn’t the case at all since don’t really like Xande. Ah, well.

Come to think of it, why was Xande picked to be Kadaj's partner anyway? Don't remember those 2 interacting much, or at all.

Based on the story in DFFOO, Seymour Guado from Final Fantasy X seems like a better partner for Kadaj since they had been working together. Not that fond of Seymour either but at least him being Kadaj's FR partner makes sense story-wise.

Oh, wait, I just remembered that the animation for Seymour's FR actually features Kadaj. I have a copy of Seymour's FR but it's not fully MLB. Haven't bothered to max it out since I'm missing Seymour's Burst and not really inclined to fully build him.

Anyway, I guess that's why Seymour couldn't be Kadaj's FR partner. If not Seymour though, maybe they could have gone with another char instead. Like what about one of those who spoke to Kadaj and tried to befriend him and understand him?

Artifacts for Kadaj from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

As aforementioned, already have the perfect Artifacts for Kadaj. Aside from 3 ATK 108 with Remnant Up★★, he also has 4 ATK 108 with MAX BRV 330. So there's no reason to farm for any more of his Arts.

The Imagining the Future Intersecting Wills event came with a co-op. Used a few (1 to 3 or so maybe but can't remember for sure now. I do remember that I used both the double and triple item tomes) books to quickly clear out the shop.

Since I also used bells, ended up with thousands of Artifact tokens. Aside from Kadaj, the Eidojas of a few other chars were also available in the co-op shop. But, after checking, it turned out that I also already have triple perfect Arts for these chars.

The only other thing I can buy with these tokens are the orbs that can be used to level up Eidojas. But I also already have the max amount of these orbs that my inventory can hold so I can't buy any more of these even if I want to.

So it looked like there was nothing else I could do with these tokens. Had thousands of them though so it felt like such a waste to just do nothing with them and let them rot in my inventory until the co-op shop automatically disappears once the time-limited parts of the Kadaj Intersecting Wills event was over.

After taking another look at Kadaj's Artifacts list, I noted that 2 of the 108/330s that he has only cost 5CP. The other 2 cost 8CP. As for the 3 ATK 108 with Remnant Up★★ Arts - 2 costs 10CP while the 3rd costs 12CP. The lowest CP cost of an Artifact is 5CP while the highest is 15CP.

I thought maybe I should try farming for Kadaj's Artifacts again anyway. Then I could try and see if I can get him ones that only cost 5CP. No pressure though. If nothing else, then this should at least put a dent on the thousands of tokens that I have.

So I exchanged a few hundred of said tokens for Kadaj Eidojas and started fusing them.

It didn't take that long before I got a MAX BRV 330 with Remnant Up★★ Artifact that only costs 8CP. Decided that I might as well keep that and replace 1 of the 108/330s that costs 8CP.

Then just continued fusing Kadaj Eidojas. Whenever I ran out, would just go to the Imagining the Future co-op shop and buy more.

A bit later on, was finally able to get my 1st ATK 108 with Remnant Up★★ Artifact that only costs 5CP. Yay! Readily replaced the 108/Remnant Up★★ Artifact that costs 12CP.

Continued fusing Kadaj Eidojas but trying to get an Artifact that only costs 5CP, much less the one I want, was easier said than done.

There were lots of times wherein I kept on getting the wrong Arts. But there were also times wherein, even if I got the right Arts, they ended up costing way too much CP so I couldn't keep them.

After what felt like a long while, finally got my 2nd 108/Remnant Up★★ Artifact that only costs 5CP. Used this to replace 1 of the 108/Remnant Up★★ Arts that costs 10CP.

Now I just need 1 more 108/330 and 1 more 108/Remnant Up★★ that only costs 5CP then I'll be done with this.

After fusing a few hundred more of Kadaj's Eidojas, managed to get 1 ATK 108 with MAX BRV 330 and 1 ATK 108 with INT BRV 170 Artifacts that only cost 5CP.

Replaced the 108/330 that costs 8CP with the one that only costs 5CP. Also opted to replace the MAX BRV 330 with Remnant Up★★ Artifact that costs 8CP with the 108/170 just because that one only costs 5CP.

But a bit later on, I actually managed to get a MAX BRV 330 with Remnant Up★★ Artifact that only costs 5CP so I replaced the 108/170 with that one.

Continued fusing more of Kadaj's Eidojas but still have yet to get the last 108/Remnant Up★★ with 5CP that I need to finally be over and done with all this farming.

Feels like I've fused hundreds and hundreds of Eidojas by now but still nothing.

I know I said no pressure earlier, but after taking another look at Kadaj's Artifacts list and seeing that everything there was now at 5CP, all except for 1 that still costs 10CP - well, it was annoying and I didn't want to leave it like that.

So continued farming. At least the tokens I got from the co-op were now dwindling. Was also starting to run out of the orbs needed to level up these Eidojas so I now used some of the tokens to exchange for said orbs as well.

Hundreds of Eidojas later, managed to get a 108/Remnant Up★★ Artifact that unfortunately costs 8CP. Sad that it's not 5CP but 8CP was better than 10CP so I still took it anyway then just kept on fusing more Eidojas.

After what feels like forever, finally managed to get an ATK 108 with Remnant Up★★ Artifact that only costs 5CP. Hell, yes! Now I can finally be done with all this farming.

Still have a couple thousand tokens left but I don't care anymore. And at least I can use those to replenish the orbs I spent to level up all the Kadaj Eidojas I'd fused.
