It's hard for me to think of a 10th dimension design for Crunch. Since he was a character that started out evil but turned to the good side, he already has a kind of morally ambiguous appearance. So, as of now, the only change I made is giving him very red-toned fur.

10th dimension Tawna and Cortex concept art

hey there! oc anon again! for n twine, what is her relationship like with all the characters?

First off, it’s important to establish what characters N Twine actually knows as they tend to keep to themselves to an unhealthy amount. There are three tiers for that: has met before, only knows of, and doesn’t know they exist. Here is a quick list for the tiers as they’re a bit different from when I listed a few similar things before due to me retconning stuff.

Only knows of: Crash, Tawna, any of the Crash 1 bosses, N Tropy, Dingodile (they speculate his creation came from Cortex stealing ideas from her), Catbat (similar idea), Megumi, and the CoTT Titans.

Doesn’t know they exist: Coco (I do have an idea of them meeting eventually though), Aku Aku & Uka Uka (met Cortex without knowing about latter), Evil Twins, any 10th dimension counterparts, N Trance, any of the aliens like Oxide, the other Trophy Girls, Von Clutch and his employees. Anyone else not listed otherwise would likely be here.

Have met before: Cortex, N Brio, Nina, N Gin, and the robot Lab Assistants.

With that list out of the way, here is a quick summary of the dynamics for those in the ‘have met before’ tier.

Cortex

It always changes between them, thus their dynamic is best described as ‘complicated.’ Rivals would perhaps be another way to put it. Cortex is probably the first person Twine willingly worked and collaborated with where romantic feelings formed. But after having some of her ‘pets’ abducted and research stolen, they constantly switch between allies and enemies. N Twine, from their decades of isolation both willing and unwilling, cannot bring themself to fully cut off ties from Cortex and want things to go back to the way they were. Any kind of apology would easily fix the negative tension between them, but getting that out of him is nigh impossible.

Cortex is someone who only likes people depending on their usefulness to him. N Twine, with their livestock chimeras, is at the very least a good inspiration for ideas. Yet despite already having what he wants from her, he hasn’t fully cut off ties with them. There’s a silent agreement between the duo that they’re the only ones who can tolerate and understand each other. That person you go to when everyone else hates you. Thus they won’t let the relationship die even if it means mending each other’s wounds or even just casually be around each other at the risk of betrayal again. They would never get to the point of marriage or having children (not that they even physically could for the latter). But their own actions constantly betraying themselves results in a dynamic of clinging onto each other as a repercussion.

Brio

Their interactions are fairly minor. Red flags firing, but neither truly speaking to each other casually. Brio has first hand experience with Cortex constantly mistreating him. Thus there is some sympathy to be had. But on the other hand, he can’t help but notice how she gets special treatment compared to the years of him being miscredited and having his needs being seen as lesser. Thus it’s a silent ‘don’t blame me if something happens.’ If it weren’t for Cortex, I’m sure they’d have some interesting discussions regarding gene splicing.

N Gin

Minor interactions again. N Gin would love to get to know Nolie more, but Nolie seems to avoid him. Likely due to the giant missile in his head making them too paranoid to stay for long. Plus the trauma of surviving an explosion.

Nina

Nina will occasionally ask N Twine to make sewing projects for her such as plushies or clothes. N Twine usually agrees from it acting as a distraction. Nolie isn’t the best with kids, but does try to be careful when she is around. They have also make custom glove patterns taking her iron fists into consideration. Nina doesn’t feel any sensation from her hands, but appreciates being able to decorate them despite them essentially being beartraps. Nina sees Nolie as a part of the family and trusts them more than her own uncle.

Lab Assistants

In a few instances where N Twine was injured or sick and forced to reside at Cortex Castle from this, they would be the ones to take care of her. Typically dropping off meals and medicine to prevent disease spread or distraction from world conquering plans. Their sentience makes it less of a problem socially, but Nolie does get annoyed from them on occasion due to their own introverted nature.

Unlike her dimension counterpart Minkie. Dinkie creation was merely an accident from knocking coffee over on the Evolvo Ray.

She inherent the worst traits like her counterpart with a little added extra weight. But she is much more intelligent and stable than her counterpart. She also sports a more sweeter nature but tends to stress out a bit when things dont got to plan.

With Dinkie being much more nicer then her dimensional counterpart Minkie. She take up on the role as a Therapist for troubled experiments. Her goal in wanting to rehabilitate Evil Crash and Coco. These plans of course was put on hold due to the events of Twinsanity prompting her to travel dimensions to “fix” what caused such a event to occur in the first place.

Upon witnessing her Cortex(Good) vaporized in front her by his dimensional counter part. Without the guidance of of her Cortex (good) her idea of fixing the issue became twisted. And is bent on destroying their dimensional counterparts.

Being the 10th dimension the opposite of the original, Dr Neo (so I call good cortex) has an abundant history of scientific successes behind him and many companies tried to buy him with their weight in gold to get their hands on his works,

our doctor however having never been much interested in money, he bought and ran off to the wumpa archipelago when the pressure on these companies became too much to bear, and he continued to experiment on what he wanted.

Video by Twinsanity staff regarding the infamously cut level Gone A Bit Coco where the player goes through Coco’s mind as Cortex. According to staff, the level was originally meant to just be a ‘cute alternative dimension’ like how the 10th dimension is the edgy version of the regular one. It was then rewritten to be inside Coco’s mind after she is stunned a second time. While the level was removed in the final game and all currently available builds to the public, the level was referenced in Crash on the Run with one of the elephant enemies being repurposed.

The world was to be separated into multiple islands with a few ball sections akin to Monkey Ball. Presumably would have controlled similar to the ball sections in the caverns. However most development was focused on the shoot em up portions with Cortex where the previously mentioned elephants would spawn enemies. Production got far enough to create the 3D landscape and adding a few 3D enemies before being scrapped from time constraints.

*John Wolfdicoot- an original character made by BlaZeMaNYT. Half bandicoot, half wolf, originally from the 10th dimension.

*Nega Coco- an interp, also designed by BlaZeMaNYT. I believe the fanfic this is for takes place quite a while after the standard Crash games timeline-wise, so she and the other canon characters are older than their in-game (or in Coco’s case, concept art) appearances, hence the wildly different designs. Like her sub-canon counterpart, Nega Coco is from the 10th dimension.

*Nega Crash- another interp by BlaZeMaNYT. Honestly rlly fun to draw lol. He is the final character on this sheet from the 10th dimension.

*Kane Serpentine- the fursona (scalesona?) I designed for KrazyKobra! In-universe, he’s actually Sonatan like Lorna, but lives on Earth with Pinstripe.

*Ash Viridis- an original character made by Branstericoot. Half bandicoot, half raccoon, he’s another former henchman of cortex’s, but left after having his right arm torn off by Tiny. His new arm was engineered by Coco!

*Yaya Panda- probably the most casual team player-- racing is more of a hobby for her; her main interest is fashion (as you can probably tell from her wacky outfit lol). So I guess she’s just here for the fun of it!

*Ripper Roo- works for Viscount as a manager! The both of them are trying to repair Viscount’s damaged reputation after Crash Boom Bang, and get funds to build an amusement park! 

*Viscount- not as friendly with his teammates as the others are to each other. He is mostly on the team for good publicity (since, after all, they ARE going to be racing in the most infamous competition across the cosmos).

I wanna believe that all of the skins that N. Tropy’s got in CTR are just other N. Tropy’s from other worlds. Digital N. Tropy is this good guy from the 10th dimension who made the world a better place instead of abusing his power to become a god and destroy everything. The other Tropy tries to avoid this guy because he brags about it. A lot. Every time they meet. You know how Tropy brags about his work to Cortex? That’s how it is.

This is going to be VERY long!

I'm creating this mainly so that I myself, as well as everyone else, remember which OCs of mine are canon. I'm also going to re-explain who said OCs are, just as a refresher. Oh yeah, and I'm also going to mention certain events that pertain to this AU in particular. Keep in mind that as of right now, I have yet to give this AU a proper name. There is another reason I am making this: I simply keep changing what is canon and what is not. I am ALSO creating this because I have yet to post all of my OCs and I kind of want to explain who they are before putting them on here.

My only OCs that are canon are Raven, Stormy, Aisleen, Natalie, Subject 21, Markus, Princess Beatrix, Empress Roberta, Violet, Ashley Norm, Brandon, Ashley Thomas, Lyra, and Princess Lily.

Raven is the older sister of Violet. She was overprotective of her, which eventually drove Violet mad, so she ran away. Even though Raven later discovered that Violet had even moved to a distant planet in the 1st Dimension to get away from it all, she didn't seem to worry too much about her safety.

Stormy is the cousin of Raven and Violet. There isn't much to say about her, other than she is a tomboy. That's...all there pretty much is to her.

Aisleen met Cortex, N. Gin, N. Brio, and N. Tropy during high school while she was pretending to be an exchange student from Scotland. N. Tropy was pretty much a jerk to the other three boys until Aisleen made him eventually see the error of his ways, and the four became fast friends. It wasn't long after that that Aisleen revealed her true identity to her new friends. In actuality, she is from the 10th Dimension and is one of the Masters of Darkness. Strange occurrences were seen at the Academy of Evil for the next few months until it was revealed who the culprit was: Lyra, who revealed herself to be from the same dimension as Aisleen; she also happens to be a MoD. After a grueling battle, it was Lyra who was defeated and she was thus sent back to her own dimension. It was after that that Aisleen revealed why she went to the 1st Dimension: to find her twin sister, who had been missing for years. She fled the academy after that, as she knew that her sister was nowhere to be found in that area. As the years went by, Cortex formed a team known simply as Team Cortex and had a castle built for him, which was dubbed Cortex Castle. He then had several animals mutated, but shortly after, a "newcomer" who was dressed in a black hood showed up to the island in an attempt to destroy Cortex and his fellow villains. Needless to say, the newcomer was defeated. She took her hood off, revealing herself to be none other than Aisleen, much to the shock of Cortex and his school friends. With Uka Uka's permission, Aisleen was allowed on the team and has been fighting by their side ever since. As time passed, Aisleen and N. Tropy began falling in love with each other and they eventually began to date. They got married only a year after, and they had a child about ten months after. Their child happens to be Natalie Time Tropy. And no, N. Tropy did not come up with her middle name. It was Aisleen that did, actually. Aisleen and her missing sister did not get to see each other again until about eighteen years after Natalie was born.

Natalie is the daughter of Aisleen and N. Tropy, meaning she is a mix between a human and a cat. She is Nina's best friend, although the two have nothing in common. Even for a villain, Natalie seems a bit too kind. Still, she aids her villains as best she can, mainly when her father is involved. There was a time, though, that she betrayed Cortex and the others and joined Team Crash. When her father became much of a nuisance for the heroes, however, she and N. Brio (who had temporarily joined the side of good as well) were forced to rejoin Team Cortex. Ever since then, Natalie has been acting a bit more...sinister than usual, but not by much. She usually only harms others when N. Tropy orders her to, but that rarely ever happens.

Subject 21 is personally my favourite of the OCs that I have created. She is a demon known as a Nightmarw from a world known as Nightfall. The only portal that leads to her world is in a book, which there is only one copy of. Let me try to shorten her backstory as best I can. At the age of five, her parents died and she began blaming herself for such a tragedy, so she was sent to an asylum for being so-called "insane." What really made her insane, though, were the experiments she was eventually put through in the asylum. After a while, her psychiatrist simply got tired of her, so he killed her. I'm not sure if anyone was wondering, but if you were, 21 died from body disembowelment and dismemberment. Oh yeah, I almost forgot--she was given the name "Subject 21" due to the fact that she was the twenty-first child to be experimented on in the asylum. Oh yeah, and she was killed at the age of 18. Just thought I'd mention that. One more thing: she only became a demon because someone attempted to resurrect her. When you try to resurrect somebody who was already insane to begin with, it tends to have its consequences. Currently, no one in the world, not even herself, knows her true name.

There isn't really much to say about Markus. He is Natalie's boyfriend. The two met, of course, sometime during school. They have currently been dating for two years now. Markus secretly wants to propose to Natalie in the future.

Princess Beatrix is the daughter of Emperor Velo and Empress Roberta. She once explained to the earthlings that her father was once a robot, but someone experimented on him (against his will, of course) and made his tall and obese form be able to function as an actual being, meaning he can have children and such. Anyway, although Beatrix is a princess, she doesn't wish to be. Throughout her childhood, she would often act like a tomboy and was rather violent. Although not a tomboy any longer, she still has a sadistic side. Beatrix happens to be the niece of Nitros Oxide, who I made Emperor Velo's brother in all of my AUs. Beatrix happens to be related to an earthling: Natalie Tropy. The two are cousins, being as Beatrix's mother is Aisleen's sister.

Empress Roberta is, of course, the husband of Emperor Velo XXVII. Before they got married, Roberta was nothing more than a servant under the employ of Emperor Velo. She was his most loyal subject, at that. He soon found himself infatuated with her, and he was actually quite disgusted with himself for having those feelings, being as he normally shows no emotion rather than anger. After Roberta made one little mishap, she was brutally punished by Velo. It was only a couple weeks later that she discovered she was pregnant with his child. It was after that that Velo decided to confess his feelings for Roberta, and the two got married that same day. After their child was born, they named it Beatrix. Soon after, Roberta mysteriously disappeared. It wasn't until Beatrix was 19 that Roberta was found on Earth, pretending that she had lost her memories. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention one thing: Roberta and Velo actually had twins, Princesses Beatrix and Lily. Lily is the last OC I will talk about on here.

Violet is Big Norm's girlfriend. The two were best friends throughout their childhood. Even after the two did not see each other for years, they remained the best of friends. Sometime after Violet moved to Kobold, the planet on which Emperor Velo is ruler (yes, I decided to give that planet a name), she revealed to everyone that she is from the 10th Dimension and is a Master of Darkness, but she also promised to do more good than harm to the planet. Strange occurrences were soon seen on Kobold, and the culprit was later discovered to be Lyra. Brandon, Violet's ex-boyfriend, was also in on what was going on. The two tried to destroy Violet but ultimately failed, and they were sent back to the 10th Dimension, where they are from as well. After that, Big Norm confessed his true feelings toward Violet and the two began to date. They have currently been together for twenty years, although they have yet to get married.

Ashley Norm is the daughter of Big Norm and Violet. She is an eighteen-year-old tomboy who plays video games for a living. She keeps claiming she is Beatrix's best friend, but the princess doesn't acknowledge her presence half of the time. Ashley Norm's greatest rival is Natalie, although it has never been explained why.

Brandon is Violet's abusive ex. That is exactly why she broke up with him: he was rather abusive to her in the past. He was so angry about it that he even attempted to destroy Violet, with the help of Lyra. The two were, of course, defeated and were sent back to their own dimension: the 10th Dimension.

Ashley Thomas and Subject 21 became immediate friends when they met each other in the asylum. Back then, Ashley T. was known as Subject 53, but she discovered her true name when a stranger helped her escape the asylum (this was after 21's death, of course). After Ashley T. and her former mentor attempted to resurrect 21--well, let's just say it backfired and 21 turned into a demon instead, causing turmoil around London. It was then that 21 became enemies with her former friend, simply because Ashley T. is a human. Sometime after 21 became part of a prophecy and was forced to aid Crash and his friends, and even foes, save the world from destruction, she suddenly began to remember who Ashley T. was and the two became friends once again. After that, 21 joined Team Cortex and has been getting along with mortals a little better.

Lyra is the rival of both Aisleen and Violet in particular. She attempted to destroy Aisleen on Earth but failed. Sometime later, she managed to escape the 10th Dimension again and tried to destroy Violet instead, on Kobold. Again, she failed and was banished to the 10th Dimension for her transgressions.

Princess Lily is the twin sister of Princess Beatrix. The two are sworn enemies, needless to say. You see, when it was declared that Beatrix was to become the heir to the throne, Lily was downright furious and attempted to murder her entire family. She, of course, failed and was banished to the 10th Dimension. For some reason, though, she keeps managing to escape. Why this is, not even Emperor Velo knows. Every time she makes an appearance, she attempts to destroy both her family (particularly Beatrix) and the earthlings.
