hello all ✨ it’s been a while!

earlier this autumn, my father passed away unexpectedly. he was my very best friend and i loved him more than anything. this semester has been so unthinkably hard, and the only thing getting me through is hearing his voice cheering me on when i would hit low points in school. he would tell me to chase my dreams like nothing was stopping me, and i listen to old voicemails he would leave me telling me not to let things overwhelm me. i am currently writing my last final paper about him - my professor let me write an essay about my father, to honor him, and he would let me finish with an A. amidst this pain, i am so grateful for humans like that.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

I spent my morning at The Bagel Shop working on my lists, came home for lunch, then spent my afternoon at Mugs in the Heights until all of my lists were finished (barring any late-year shenanigans). Magnus went to school today, but we thought he'd get sent home before the day was up for being a crankster. Alas, he didn't. He even napped at school We hope that will help getting his night-time sleeping schedule back on track because Mom and I can't take much more. Gus has been trapped between irritable, sleep-deprived parents and a monster of a brother.

But Mom did have a chance to go to his class holiday party this afternoon. She said she liked watching him with all of his friends.

Bigla ko lang naalala kung gaano ako na-ulol dun sa isang ex ko bago itong partner ko ngayon. Nakakatawa na lang pag naalala ko pero sobrang legit na nasaktan ako non. Siguro kaya rin ako namayat ng sobra kahit di ko sadya. Meron na rin kasing isang pagkakataon na sobrang nadepress ako sa ex ko tapos ang payat ko dahil wala akong ganang kumain.

Naalala ko lang kasi ngayon, naisip ko if makakausap ko siya ulit wala ng feelings. I'm better off na hiwalay kami. Ngayon na mas objective ako, naisip ko na magkaibang tao pala kami. Parang meron laging unspoken pressure on my side kasi magkaiba naman talaga kami ng lifestyle. Vice mayor na yung dad niya ngayon eh, may multiple restaurants pa sila. Magkaiba na rin kami ng generation. Basta ang daming magkaiba. Honestly, wala rin naman akong peace sa relationship namin. Lagi akong anxious, na baka nagbabago na feelings niya sakin ganon.

Dami ko na rin talagang experience sa love, kung may ituturo man ako sa anak ko yun ay Love is NOT difficult. Hindi talaga dapat. Yes, nag aaway kami ng partner ko nagsisigawan kami, pero after that nag aadjust siya at ako rin. Ineexplain ko sa kanya kung bakit ganon, naiintindihan niya. Never kami nag ulit ng issue at lalong wala kaming issues about loyalty. More on daily lang minsan bakit di pa nakawalis at hugas ng pinggan ganyan haha magkasama na kami eh. Pero aside from that wala na kaming ibang pinagaawayan. Sobrang stressful na yung pagaalaga sa bata pag sinamahan mo pa ng other problems like babae at bisyo grabe nakaka-ulol talaga.
