December is done, and now we’re into the new year! I can honestly say I’m far prouder of what I accomplished in December than what I anticipated! There was a lot going on, what with my sister getting married and the holiday season (and WORK) but I am very proud, and happy to see what January brings me!

Mochizuki is a 28 year veteran, Yoshioka is 28 years old. This was the first opportunity Ive had to really GET Mochizuki and appreciate him as a remarkable wrestler and character.
Yoshioka is Dragongate’s young new champion and his wrestling style is to overwhelm his opponent with outstanding brute force and speed. Mochizuki has Yoshioka well-read, using his power against him and allowing Yoshioka to destroy himself before breaking him down limb from limb.
This match also has one of my favorite spots of the year. Call it “he can’t pin me if he’s unconscious :)”
I wrapped the shoot in Fayetteville around 2:30pm then got back to Little Rock in time to change clothes, then Mom and I grabbed a quick bite to eat before I had to be at Few for a reading. I opened a small show for Adam Faucett -- my favorite of his songs is "Living on the Moon." I read "The Day We Buried My Father" and "Dear Person Who Broke Into My Truck Last Night." I feel like I gave a decent reading, but it wasn't my audience and the microphone faded in and out. That's two bad readings in a row. It's putting me in a bad headspace. I need a win.
Your hands still turn everything to mud. Growing up didn’t change who you are, just gave it more definition. Now, more empty than ever, you score down another swig of bourbon. That cough has persisted for a week now. The apartment lights never seemed this dim. The cracks on the ceiling, seem to be a testament to the crevasses you created in your own life. Craters of hopeful desires, filled to the brim with the beer and liquor you chose to replace all that desire. It’s hard to land right side up, when the position everyone’s always seen you in, is down.
Shared Appetizers (Whipped Feta, Meatballs). Raduno. Little Rock, Arkansas. 12.6.2022.
NOTE TO SELF: Not a complete meal, by any stretch, but we were in a hurry. That whipped feta is always good -- as is the bread it comes with. The meatballs are good, but I could skip them next time.
whether you sit still or run, you’ll feel pain just the samewhen things are said and doneisn’t it much fun to play the game?
even if you believe all of this is meaninglesslet us believe for this momentour moment now is pricelesslet us rise and live in the present
if you can’t avoid it,might as well have fun with it.
