Things I’ve learned about myself, 1400, and us.

1. 1400 needs the ocean like he needs air to breathe. I knew, he loved the ocean, and considering his roots I shouldn’t be surprised, but it’s quite clear that he wouldn’t be able to live in a place that’s not close to water. Anything more than 30 minutes would already be too far.

2. I still get sea sick. Which is weird cause I love swimming. But put me on a boat and I’m like 🤢. I handled the gondola okay. And even the first trip toward Venice was okay. But the waters were rougher on the way back and just 🤢. I didn’t eat much that day. 1400 thought it was adorable. Not sure if he would’ve thought that if I’d actually puked.

3. Greek and Italian men share the passionate argument gene and it’s best to just let them argue it out.

4. 1400 doesn’t share ice cream if it’s pistachio. He shares other flavors. Just not that one.

5. Carbs are not my enemy! (Real) Italian food is my proof.

6. 1400 looks sharp in a real Milanese suit and I wish we had more occasions for him to wear such a fine suit. But role playing is a thing, right? 😏

7. Dating a younger emotional support extrovert is great until they want to go skinny dipping in 60°F water. I’d really rather not have my nipples freeze off. 😂 But it’s fun to watch.

8. Did I mention Greek men have the passionate argument gene? It’s best not to interrupt when they try to boost your confidence.

9. 1400 eats just about everything and anything but draws the line at capers.
