It's ✨magical✨
Do you know that feeling, when you desperately try to impress your date by showing off your "skills", but instead end up tripping over your own feet, because you're too excited and giddy from the confidence boost your date gave you earlier? Yeah...

Angels don't dance
As an (almost) final strike in the Angst War on the @goodomensafterdark subreddit, have this 1941 scene inspired by @acheemient's post!
(don't worry, part 5 of my comic is going up today as well!!)

Is Aziraphale actually terrible at magic or does he just get impossibly flustered trying to do tricks whenever Crowley is watching?

If drawing the last slide of a comic poorly for comedic effect is a crime then by gods lock me up.

I seriously can't believe that in the 1941 scene Aziraphale didn't offer to pick Crowley up even once. Girl, you've been best friends for almost 6 millennia. You trust him enough to let him hold a gun to your head. I think we're at the point that you can hold him. Not saying Crowley wouldn't bat an eye or get flustered, but are you really going to make him stand on hot coals when he's saving your ass?
I suck at art and photoshop, can someone please draw/edit that scene so Crowley is giving that speech while Aziraphale is casually carrying him bridal style?

I rewatched the 1941 minisode and just realized something about the magic act.
When Aziraphale asked: "Is anyone here familiar with using firearms?" every GI raised his arm except Crowley. Only when Aziraphale explicitly points at him, he seems to "remember", that he agreed to participate in the magic trick.

This always felt odd to me, because why would Crowley "forget" that? Maybe some kind of last resistance? OK, he wasn't too thrilled of the whole magic trick to begin with, but he can always miracle his way out of every situation (and he didn't knew about the miracle blocker at this point), so he shouldn't be so reluctant?
Then it struck me: Crowley didn't forget or resisted. He was just answering Aziraphales question honestly. "Is anyone here familiar with using firearms?" Of course he didn't raise his arm. Why would he, when he indeed never used a firearm!
I'm stupid.
