One Dress a Day Challenge
June: Brown Redux
Funny Face / Audrey Hepburn as Jo Stockton
For the photo shoot sequence, Jo gets to look tragic in a taupe two-piece ensemble, probably by Givenchy, with a distinctive hat. I'll quote the writeup from this article, which has a rundown of all her outfits in this movie:
"Audrey Hepburn’s outfit is a stunning two-piece dress suit, which consists of a knee length tan colored dress, with a matching coat, paired with fur hat, dark brown pumps, and gloves. She also has a fur coat thrown casually over her arm for added style pizzazz.
"Fun fact!
"For this shoot, the fashion photographer [Richard] Avedon was recreating a famous train station photograph he shot for Harpers Bazaar, that he got flack from his editor on, 'Nobody cries in a Dior hat, Dick.'”
Incidentally, that website describes this suit as grey, but I'm more inclined to put it in the brown family if only because of the hat.

No, I Haven't Seen It Until Now: 'The Incredible Shrinking Man'
“The Incredible Shrinking Man” comes from a genre I feel I know a lot about but have actually not seen many movies from: 1950’s science fiction. I went into it thinking it would look horribly dated and laughable for all the wrong reasons. What I instead discovered was a film which actually holds up very well after half a century with its terrific special effects and strong performances. It also…

One Dress a Day Challenge
Black and White October
Funny Face / Kay Thompson as Maggie Prescott
The big joke of the "Think Pink" number is that Maggie pitches the idea in this black-and-white suit, and while everything around her gets pinker and pinker, she continues to dress in black, white, and grey. When someone finally asks her about it, she says, dismissively, "Oh, I couldn't be bothered."
As I look more closely at the screencaps, I wonder if the suit might actually be midnight blue, but since that was billed as "blacker than black," I think it counts for the theme.
She wears the suit in two different scenes, with what appear to be two different white shirts. One of them has an added scarf or a scarf-collar, which is fastened with a statement brooch in green and red. The jacket has three-quarter-length sleeves, which allow for the long white gloves. I also like the pillbox hat and the T-strap shoes.
