Created from a 1970s comic I found called "Just Married." The story was pretty boring, but I was astounded at how many ads for diets there were, juxtaposed with the always perfect cartoon blonde women. I chose to recombine the images to hint at the relationship between female beauty ideals, women's appearances, and what women are implied to gain by meeting beauty standards.
