(there will still be a post tomorrow to keep on track)#The original 3 panel comic idea was fine but the point of this new schedule was to take time to push myself a bit more.#I was taking a look back through some comic artists I felt inspired by#and I really loved how Lynda Barry fills her gutters with patterns and doodles!#Obviously I'm not going as absolutely wild with it as she does but it was a great exercise!#I truly think the gutters are the most important and most overlooked part of any comic. There's lots going on in that space.#It's the same with timeskips. The implied movement between moments that we don't see changes depending on how wide that gap is#You're here for the funny tags so here's some that ties this time talk together:#I think LWJ was thinking about that second note from day 2 but it took him 7 days of hazing to commit it to paper.#I think he sends it a day later and immediately regrets it. Chasing down the messenger and everything.#You know if something actually happened to his brother he would never ever forgive himself for putting the bad vibes out there.#Third time skip was the hardest because there was so many possible flavours of jokes here. Day 8/9 was a personal favourite.#day 14 was also funny (week by week). I think the debate on 'how long does lwj take to catch feelings' is more or less:#'how long does it take for him to arrive at a particular stage of grief and yearning (and awareness of it all)#This is a symphony. There is an act by act structure. Every day he is fighting to keep his old sensibilities. He is losing so badly.#(I'll be returning to the main comic soon but there is more of this AU to come!)

ffxiv as a whole is like a ghibli movie. not in the way people usually describe ghibli movies like they're just peaceful and cozy and light-hearted but like. in the way it's a post-apocalyptic world and an active apocalypse story on like a dozen different levels and it's also all about society rebuilding after the apocalypse never quite reclaiming what it used to be but making something new all the same. and also it's about how gay catboys are equivalent to nuclear missiles

ive talked to a lot of ppl who have taken vyvanse now and i think ik a bit more on how i need to live on it
#1) dopamine drops on lower dosages or high dosage but in the evenings feel like hell and it wont ever stop you have to just breathe#you will stop breathing well and you wont notice it so you have to remember to breathe deeply. this helps immensely for some reason#2) you will stop processing the existence of food as a consumable thing and not just an object like Table or Cardboard. you will not want to#eat anything. you have to buy meal replacement shakes. sweetness is one of the only pleasant flavours. eat protein. eat as much protein as#you can. down those meal replacament shakes. get enough for a day. try not to into calorie deficits on vyvanse.#3) your mind will be searching for cognitively complex tasks and everything else dwarfs in comparison. dont lay down. do something.#4) you have to exercise. fully exercise at the gym not a home 20 min work out. you need to push your body right now so that you can be ok#5) nothing will be as intense and vivid and beautiful and there will be a layer of seperation between you snd reality even on a lower dosage#this is fine. this is the primary price. sunlight helps and so does doing complex tasks but you cant avoid this. remind yourself that this#is a self-induced thing and its temporary and itll fade.#6) youve been ship of theseus'd into a new person and this effect only increases later into the day. any conclusion you reach about yourself#is most likely not applicable to your non-vyvanse self.#7) carry chapstick around. keep drinking water. dry mouth starts 5 minutes after taking it#8) some of your friends have a reduced range of emotion and this makes them more stable but less capable of experiencing intense joys#and sadnesses. look at them. listen to their perspective. live like them when youre on the medication.#9) music is still gorgeous#10) you will feel very hot very fast. wear layers you can take off.#11) pick up a bow and shoot. keep shooting. keep going. shoot at least 50 arrows if you can. feel the pain in your arms and your shoulders#and then keep shooting.

truly one of the best aspects of the lunter/witteclaw parallels is that the switcheroo of human luz luring "witch" hunter away is just SO on point with the themes of the story and philip's entire motivation as a villain. it's not a matter of humans VS witches, or religion VS paganism, but at the core of it lays the idea that anything that deviates from the norm needs to be extracted and destroyed. and in philip's time, that meant that witches needed to be eliminated.
but! that has changed, overtime. philip's world no longer holds that as the rule. not because the people who think like him no longer exist, but because the people who have been the target of discrimination and hatred have come together as a community and fought for their rights to live their lives to their fullest. and because of these, uh, "modern" ideas, luz fills the role of "evelyn" despite not being a witch herself, because she hits all the important bits: she's also the kind of pest philip would've considered a cancer for society all those years ago. and therefore, she manages to hit all the important story beats for her caleb, aka hunter: she's the one who triggers his first act of defiance against belos; she's the one who introduces flapjack to him; she's the one that takes hunter by the hand and leads him away from belos.
even then, her status as a human is impactful in the way belos treats her: he considers her an "equal", as much as that can mean. he uses this fact to manipulate and guilt-trip her. but that also means that he underestimates her, and that finally allows luz to put this putrid cycle to an end, therefore making luz and hunter effectively the last evelyn and caleb to graze the earth.
#lunter#sorry ok i listened to 'the unbearable lightness' today and broke down crying lol#they are THE soulmate reincarnated-love pairing ever#jsjsjsjjs i'll keep saying it. lunter being canon would've made this show 200% more impactful#1) gives meaning to the witteclaw tale 2) integrates it to the plot 3) ties in neatly with the show's themes#4) it makes belos a better villain 5) it gives luz a more active LI 6) it rightfully centers luz and hunter's dynamic#7) it honors flapjack's sacrifice and also 8) it leads luz to find like-minded people in the human realm#like idk this ship fucking slaps BECAUSE it has a monumental positive impact in the development of the show's ending#ok tag rant over. and i'll put the other tag i guess#toh critical#k i'm going to bed :]

#ok i just finished reading the machineries of em/pire series#on 3 hours of sleep because it is the middle of exam szn and i had work at 8 this morning#and im also hashtag unemployed again (passes out dizzily) (my contract ended)#so maybe its all compounding but the third book PISSED ME OFFFFFF#i think its jedao 2 being so not!jedao and also cheris being mostly not!jedao#and introducing 2 whole different crews of speaking characters in the concluding book#that did not work for me.#the moth twist was interesting but not body-horrorish enough#kujen had SOOOOOOOOO much going for him but it didnt execute as well. like its implied that despite the horrid world he built it is in fact#one without hunger.#i wish we got to see that in book 1 + 2. as background. did i miss it?#also that drop in the middle of his lore about his first gift being a fucking. fridge. the immortality/something that never spoils.#made me insane. i wish we covered more his loneliness + abuse of jedao to accompany him + the psych surgery#but i concede the yaoi was in fact sufficiently corrosive.#ok on the other hand though i could NOT be pressed to care about the new crew on either jedao 2's side or inesser's#and i didnt like how brezan faded in and out of relevance#it was too unfocused. and i felt most of the new characters didnt have time to grow into their own skin AND were unlikeable (worse: boring)#overall. like brezan's sister...? WHY#also the math disappeared :(. maybe not a downside for everyone but it was sparse enough already and by 3rd it felt like a decorative piece#sad... i loved cheris in the second book but she felt so.. convenient here. like yeah! shows up and solves all problems 👍 hm.#the servitors too although i felt that they were too convenient since book 1. you are telling me NO ONE was talking to the machines???#my guy people will bond with a roomba.#the kujen/jedao went kind of crazy tho. mostly on the kujen side he is so deeply unethical!#ig for me it just wasnt convincing enough... like everyone started monologuing about killing kujen and i just. felt bad for him#didnt help he was the most interesting character in the book#SOOORRRY im salty i need to sleep. for disclosure i LOVED book 1 & 2 and ch 1 of book 3 set me up too good the only way to fall is down.#ok goodnight. kujen did everything wrong but i forgive him anyway

back on my bullshit: looking through and making edits to my doc full of Issues I Have That Haven't Ever Been Looked Into for the doctor. which may prove to be futile but i will not think to bring any of this up + will absolutely try and downplay it if i do not do this.
i still keep joking that i will hand them the papers and go "pick one and we can start there" as well as threatening to walk out if they so much as breathe the word "asthma" to me. hopefully i can actually do these things at the appointment.
and i know. i know that doctors hate it when you present possible diagnoses and that you should let them do it themselves but like. you don't understand. i have had 22 years of not having anything done when i had a health concern, to the point where i stopped even realizing that things were concerning until someone else pointed out to me that it may be a problem.
so im coming armed and prepared and if the doctor refuses to work with me like im an actual person, then i will leave and i will ask for a different doctor. rinse and repeat until i find someone who will actually help me.
#ik this is probably not the best way to do this i do i get that#but for my own sanity and the sake of actually getting things down as they ARE not as i fake#bc i am too anxious about seeming needy or useless or desperate for attention or whatever#then yeah. the doctor is getting my 8 page document of issues i have noticed i have#that have never actually been looked into by a medical professional bc military hospitals fucking suck ass#and i didn't have a choice before#(and then when i did i had too much anxiety to actually DO anything about it until now)#ough.#wish me luck for this appointment guys.#it's not for another 2 weeks or so but still#it's also a new patient appointment which. i assume means looking at current state and family history#more than any of this#but im bringing the doc anyway so they have an idea of whats going on#and again so they can choose a starting point.#breathing issues/gi issues/headaches/tinnitus/allergies#or any of the various mental health issues tho i figure those will be outsourced to someone else#since this is just general medicine lmao#but anyway. pick one and when we get somewhere with that we can do smth else#or if we get nowhere with that. whichever.#shh ac

I shall always suffer for my lack of networking an#self promotion skills. 4 - I was forced to get a new phone a few months ago because my beloved phone of like 10 years finally#broke too much. and I always like to go through the emojis and make a little memo with all my favorites. yaay little pictures of things.#5 - I FINALLY finished all the dictionary entries for the game (which has a little dictionary feature in the player's journal to note#any specific terms and keep track of them (like what 'jhevona' or 'avirre'thel' means. or to remember that the world is called Nanyevimi#and the country they're in is Asen. etc. etc.)). There are 75 defined terms so far and it took me a while to do so out of curiosity I put#all the text into a wordcounter thing and lol.. 8000 words isnt that much I guess but the 30 minute reading time is funny to me. 30 minutes#for my little tiny dictionary panel in my quaint little casual visual novel which is not even lore heavy at all. hee hee (though that's mor#like a minute here and there since obv people are not unlocking every term all at once. you complete the dictionary as you talk to people#and hear them mention new concepts over time.).. ANYWAY..#6 - a very soft and beautiful stuffed animal that I did not buy but wanted to at least document their charm.#7 - stimky boye waiting in front of his favorite straw meowring screaming for someone to play with him (he likes to chase the#straw around). 8 - matcha bubble tea my beloved. 9 & 10 & 11 - some cool flowers I saw. also featuring one of my favorites (columbines!)#Anyhow.. as mentioned in the other photo diary post.. I have just been packing and writing mostly.. The evil summer is coming of course#which me and my health issues always dread. Good news though is I finally got my passport in the mail! >:3 huzzah. Now I just need to find#some fellow aromantic asexual living outside the US willing to take one for the team and fake a marriage with me so I can get the#hell out of the country UwU (<joking) (...mostly... as in - definitely NOT my main goal. but if a viable opportunity presented itself I#would of course give it consideration lol). I know that's already highly regulated but I wonder if it's something that will become even mor#locked down as people hunt for any opportunity to flee. People are out here searching for any loophole. Mostly#the the anesidora prototypes have been horribly neglected . on the account of not really being important to calypso’s development LOL#but that does need to change . and maybe that Will change if i play around with them some more#always feel like such a freak when i kill my own characters sorry like yea … i made a guy … AND THEYRE DEAD BTW. but what can i sayyyyy .#calypso’s Whole Thing is abt death and rebirth . somewhat literally and somewhat figuratively#ten dies and becomes anesidora (real actual literal death. less literal transformation)#anesidora dies and becomes calypso (purely metaphorical)#calypso dies and … stays the same? she should be someone else but she doesn’t really have it in her anymore to become someone new#<- (not literal? but not Entirely hypothetical. she got blown up and was dead but she got better)#the anesidora prototypes that came before her Also struggled heavily with identity . Most of their downfalls boil down to a very violent ego#death . ego death#anesidora 1-8 dealt with identity as clones . identity as robots . dysmorphia as robots . also just generally poorly thought out designs#how fucked would it be to wake up in your cool new robot body built for fighting and it just Doesn’t work off the bat . <- A-2#they figured That out by A-3 but A-10 (calypso) was the only prototype to make it into field testing#i love A-9 . 9 is really exciting to me bc she is a question i’ll never answer . what happened to her ? wouldn’t you like to know.#all i’ll tell you is that she never made it into a robot . maybe she’s still out there . Fei Du's "默念恶魔的名册 / 奄奄一息是我" I suddenly cannot help but look very very closely at him through the lens of the few other priest novels I know and the first 2 books of this one and ask hey Fei Du quick question where exactly are you planning for this story to go
