Okay just so y'all know...

Leoichi and Leosagi are two completely different ships!! They are NOT the same!!

They are both Leonardo focused ships, yes, HOWEVER it's Leo being shipped with two separate characters.

"Leosagi" is Leonardo x Miyamoto Usagi

This ship mostly grew after the popularity of TMNT 2003 with Leo's close friendship with the character Miyamoto Usagi.

"Leoichi" is Leonardo x Yuichi Usagi

Yuichi is the main character of Netflix's show Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles. He is the descendant of Miyamoto Usagi. Also unlike Usagi, Yuichi is NOT a TMNT character, he is from his own franchise entirely, but fans have been shipping him with both Rise Leo and 2012 Leo.

And the most important detail to know is...

Yuichi and Usagi are NOT the same character!!

So please if you’re making ship art or a fanfic of Leo with Yuichi and tag it as “Leosagi” that is the incorrect ship name and vice verse.

Hopefully this helps so people can know the difference and tags things more properly and not get non shippers and new Leosagi and Leoichi shippers confused, cause even I will admit it can get confusing.

yesterday i found out that while samurai hold their swords to such high respect, ninja just… don’t. i also learned that ninja swords have bigger tsuba and the sheath have a pointy end so they can use it as a stepping ladder to get over walls, and then pull the sword up to them using the cord used to keep the sword on them. i started drawing this as soon i learned that

If Leonardo and Usagi ever actually got married what kind of wedding would they have?

Would it be a traditional Japanese wedding, somewhat, would it be a western style wedding, or maybe a mixed style?

Who would be the "Bride" during the ceremony?

Some of these thoughts just depend on which version of each you put in this scenario.

Honestly Rise Leo would be the bride if only because there would be more attention on him.

Actually how would the wedding go with any of the different ships in the TMNT turtleverse?

Would they have specific traditions they would follow, or would it be pretty standard?

Trying to find works (fanart & fanfics) focused on 2012 Leoichi specifically is HARD because Rise Leoichi is way more popular.

So during my search I finally found one about 2012 Leoichi but as I read it I realized that it’s also a 2012 Splinter slander fanfic with him being a raging homophobe and beating Leo after he came out.

okay so there's like at LEAST 5 different versions of the same pairing. There's "Katanashipping" which is the 2003 TMNT version of both Leo and Miyamoto Usagi. There's "Leoichi" which is Leo from ROTTMNT and Yuichi Usagi from Samurai Rabbit on Netflix *specifically*. People have made their own versions of both Yuichi and Miyamoto for Rise. People have combined both to make original versions of Usagi. Whatever the case may be, I think Leo should have a cool Samurai rabbit boyfriend to hold hands with and maybe smooch sometimes. That being said, i honestly prefer any version of Leosagi with Rise!Leo in it cause I haven't really watched 2003 TMNT yet but I do plan to in the near future. Anyway, they stole my heart <3

TMNT FANDOM: WHY DO WE HAVE SO MANY SHIP NAMES AND WHY DON'T WE USE THEM PROPERLY.

like we should all learn from the miraculous fandom, their shipnames are UNDERSTANDABLE and PRACTICAL.

We have: leosagi, katanashipping, leoichi, leochi, sliderbunny, yuinardo LIKE DAMN.

My suggestion: every version of the ship gets its own ship name.

Rise!Miyamoto usagi x Rise! Leo - sliderbunny. We shouldn't use leosagi guys we had this intervention already and it's not working.

Miyamoto x 2003 leo - LEOSAGI AND KATANASHIPPING. THEY ARE ONLY FOR THAT SHIP LIKE PLZ WERE ANNOYING THE OGS.

And lastly my favorite: Rise! Leo x Yuichi - leoichi or leochi. We don't need two, idk why we have two but one of them needs to go pronto.
