Webby - Liverpool

It was hard for Webby, her grandma is an Aston Villa fan, her hero is a Celtic fan. Which team should she support?

What moves Webby is love, dedication, passion. And it was the passion the Liverpool fans show what make her a fan herself.

It was a secret, until she found out Donald is also a Liverpool fan. Just another thing to bond about for them.

Huey - All of them

Huey loves his family and friends, so he can't take sides. He supports all the teams, depending on the circumstances.

Dewey - Manchester United

The second Dewey found out that Della was a Manchester fan, he took her side. You know that's a Dewey thing.

Sadly, he forgot that Manchester was on downhill since 2014. He has to watch the Europa League and begs that next year will be better.

Louie - Liverpool

All the triplets were Liverpool fans thanks to Donald. When their circle grew, Huey decided that he wanted to support all the teams, Dewey took Della's side, but Louie stay by his uncle side. Donald made him a Liverpool fan, he will stay a Liverpool fan.

A bit bias for Donald and Louis relationship? Yes. Always.

May & June - Liverpool

Just like their brother, the twins wanted to follow their dad. Easy.

Violet - Internazionale

Violet was never that interested in football. She knew the basics, the big tournaments and big teams. But then, she got a sister.

An italian sister.

An AC Milan fan sister.

And Violet knew what she had to do, and became an Inter fan. Just to get under Lena's skin. That's such a sisterhood thing to do.

Gosalyn - Borussia Dortmund

One more that has her focus on passion. Gosalyn in 2017 is a latina, but her last name has a bit of german flavour. That's where she found her team, a team who's rebel and loyal.

Perfect for Gos.

The last game of the 2022-2023 season broke her heart.

B.O.Y.D. - Real Madrid

Sweet baby B.O.Y.D. has a whole world to discover. He spends most of his time with the rest of the Team Science, so he listens to Fenton's stories about a team that can make miracles happen, a team that doesn't know how to give up, and their victories can only be described as epic.

Yes, Fenton's influence turned B.O.Y.D. in a Real Madrid fan.

Real Madrid bias? Of course.

José - Flamengo

I asked an expert, @fantasticenthusiasttale, for this one.

She told me that José Carioca lives in a neighborhood in the city of Rio de Janeiro called Vila Xurupita, which has its own soccer team, Xurupita FC. He even played for them.

But, her headcanon is that José is a Flamengo fan. And who I am to disagree?

Panchito - Necaxa

To tell the truth, I know nothing about Mexico football. I stared at Panchito and said, this is the face of a Necaxa fan.

Gladstone - Manchester City

The notorious freeloader Gladstone Gander of course is a Manchester City fan.

He knows nothing about the team's history, but when he found out the team has a almost bottomless wallet, he became a fan.

Matilda - Rangers

Like Violet, Matilda began supporting Rangers only to get under Scrooge's skin.

With the time, she actually became a passionate fan who enjoyed going to the games. She and Scrooge have been in many Old Firm (Rangers vs Celtic) games.

When the team was sended to the 4th division, she went to every game until Rangers returned to the Scottish Premiership.

Ludwig Von Drake - Rapid Wien

In his youth, professor Von Drake enjoyed seeing the football Rapid Wien showed. A team for the working class, who fights day by day.

Von Drake was happy to see that Rapid still was the most successful team of the country.

But professor didn't see with good eyes the grow of Red Bull Salzburg. A team born of a corporation, who denies its own history.

Von Drake awaits for the resurgence of Rapid.

Mark Beaks - Inter Miami

When Messi signed with Inter Miami, Mark Beaks flew to the city because he knew that was buzz worthy.

That's the only reason he has to go to the games.

January 28th 1290 saw the death of Devorgilla, Lady of Galloway.

One with differing dates, but the majority of sources give January 28th, the name Dervorguilla or Dervorgilla was a Latinisation of the Gaelic Dearbhfhorghaill (alternative spellings, Derborgaill or Dearbhorghil).

Through her mother, Devorgilla was descended from King David I of Scotland. Her grandmother Maud was a member of the family of the powerful Earl of Chester while her aunt Isobel of Huntingdon was grandmother to Robert the Bruce.

The Lanercost states that Dervorguilla was the “widow of Lord John de Balliol” and that she “was a woman largely endowed with money and lands, both in England and in Scotland.” It also adds in her favour that “she had a much richer endowment in the nobility of her heart, being daughter and heiress of the magnificent Alan, the sometime Lord of Galloway.” Regarding her death, it states that “She passed from the world, full of years, at Castle Barnard, and was buried at Duquer, in Galloway, a Monastery of Cistercians, which she herself built and endowed.” Looks like ‘endowed’ was a well used term in those days; at least in the Lanercost.

Arguably the most famous fact about her, in Scotland at least, is that she was the mother of our erstwhile King John, it was through her that his legitimate claim to the Scottish crown came about, she was a great-great-granddaughter of King David I. Had she lived a wee whiles her lineage would have thrown up the possibility of her being named Queen of Scotland after the death of Margaret Maid of Norway in September 1290, this would have precluded that nasty Edward I interfering with our affairs, Queen Dervorguilla, how does that sound? This alternative timeline may have been the start of a Balliol dynasty, no Bruce’s or Stewarts such is the ifs and buts of history.

While a lot of marriages were arranged to form alliances and were loveless, that is not the case with that is certainly not the case with Lady Dervorguilla and John Balliol snr, on the death of her husband, in 1268, Dervorguilla had his heart embalmed and kept in a casket of ivory bound with silver. The casket travelled with her for the rest of her life.

Poetry has been written of the love shared between John Balliol and Dervorguilla of Galloway, the Lady also founded New Abbey in Dumfries & Galloway in honour of her husband, after her own death the Monks in the Abbey started calling it Dulce Cor, Latin for Sweet Heart, and so it became known as Sweetheart Abbey.

She was also the co-founder, with her husband of Balliol College, Oxford in 1263, even after John Balliol’s death Lady Dervorguilla continued to support it, securing its permanent endowment in 1282, as well as formal statutes, a seal, and a house to study in. It’s a shame that College did not allow women students until 1979!.

If you have ever visited Dumfries you will have no maybe crossed over the river Nth on Dervorguilla Bridge, built in 1426 and named in her honour.

She was buried in front of the high altar at Sweetheart Abbey. A stone slab in the floor marks the supposed site of her burial, the actually place being lost due to the mindless destruction of he Scottish Reformation, their lost graves lie amongst the ruins, which is described as a “shrine to human and divine love”.

An effigy found by archaeologists can be seen at the Abbey, sadly the head is missing, but it is thought to be the Lady and in 2017 it was named number 10 by VisitScotland in their 25 Objects That Shaped Scotland’s History. It can be seen in the second photo.

Voters in Germany maintained a few global trends this past weekend: They kicked out incumbents, their youth moved to the right, and they delivered another surprise. Their radical, anti-immigrant party (Alternative für Deutschland, or AfD) finished second, and was likely boosted by some LGBTQ voters. The rightward shift of gay, lesbian, and bisexual voters is a dynamic playing out across western Europe. In the UK, France, and now Germany, gay voters or their allies are backing far-right or nativist political parties at growing rates. That queer shift to the right doesn’t seem to be materializing in the United States, however. During the 2024 election, LGBTQ voters actually got more Democratic than in 2020. What explains this gulf, especially as so many other global political trends replicate themselves in the US? After reviewing the trends and historical context, I offer two theories: that Europeans have had vastly different experiences with international migration than those in the US; and that the American LGBTQ community has historical reasons to distrust a radicalized Republican Party in a two-party system.

The “homonativist” shift of European gays and their allies

It was once thought that the growing public acceptance of queerness and homosexuality would reinforce — or at least coincide — with generally more progressive views on political issues, both in and outside the United States. But that doesn’t appear to be the case. In Germany, those trends can be traced back to before the pandemic: Multiple analyses of LGBTQ voters found small, but sustained support from gay voters for AfD and center-right parties in 2021’s elections when compared to the 2017 federal elections there. One study even found that the probability of voting for the AfD increased in 2021 if you were LGBTQ. This year, one pre-election survey suggested AfD would receive the highest share of LGBTQ voters’ support among the major parties. (The AfD having a charismatic gay leader this year likely didn’t hurt either.)

As the researcher and political analyst François Valentin writes, this dynamic has been true in France and the United Kingdom going back to as early as 2015. One analysis of vote choice in 2015 found that it was married gay men who were most likely to support the anti-immigrant National Front (FN), the French far-right party, in that year’s regional elections (and more likely than married straight men), while married gay women supported the FN at about the same level as straight women. It was during that time that the FN went through a refresh, becoming less antagonistic to LGBTQ people and courting them. In the United Kingdom, the center-left Labour Party has generally held strong support from lesbian, gay, and bisexual voters, while far-right parties have struggled to gain a substantial share of these voters in recent years. But across Europe, there has emerged a different kind of electorate: one with progressive views on homosexuality, but conservative or reactionary views on immigration. Nearly a third of the British electorate could fall under this “homonativist” classification, according to one analysis prepared for the London School of Economics. Far-right parties in France and Germany have been nearly single-mindedly focused on tougher policies toward migrants and refugees, suspicion of Islam in particular, opposition to European Union integration, and a reclamation of native or national identity. The UK’s Conservative party has embraced many of these nativist ideals as well.

Why “homonativists” still haven’t gotten their footing in the US

Not only have LGBTQ voters not seen the same rightward drift as their European counterparts, but they’ve actually seen the opposite: From 1992 to 2016, exit polls have shown this bloc of voters have been steadily getting more liberal. (Exit polls can be noisy and unreliable, and usually corrected months after elections, but are still the best tool we have for measuring trends for groups like LGBTQ voters.)

In 2020, polling did suggest a rightward turn for queer voters: Trump cut into the Democratic margin of victory with the demographic compared to 2016 by nearly 20 points. In 2024, signs were pointing toward another year of Republican improvement with these voters. But the final result was another twist: Kamala Harris won the highest level of support from LGBTQ voters in modern history — 86 percent. In fact, LGBTQ voters were one of the only demographics that shifted left last year. And their ideologies have remained consistently liberal — 47 percent of LGBTQ men and 63 percent of LGBTQ women identify as liberal. The explanations here are various — starting with the unique American political experience of the gay rights movement. But one key thing to understand is that while most European nations have multiparty systems that can give voters a sense that the most extreme positions of any given party will be checked by a team of rivals, the US really only has two parties. And while both started off as hostile to gay rights, the Democratic Party has been quicker to tolerate, accept, and champion LGBTQ people. The Republican Party has been much more hostile. That’s been particularly true during the last five years, which have featured GOP fearmongering around trans athletes and bathrooms, “grooming,” and “Don’t Say Gay” legislation. In this way, the Republican Party went in the opposite direction of many European far-right or right-wing parties’ toning down of homophobic or bigoted speech and positions.

Around the world, more and more of the LGBTQ+ vote (especially the cis gay male vote) is backing far-right parties, and this is true across European nations. In the USA, however, the opposite happened: more LGBTQ+ people voted Democratic compared to past elections, and that is due to the GOP’s rabid hatred for the LGBTQ+ community.

Então decidimos tentar fazer o "1 post por dia" voltar a acontecer! Vai ser bom pra eu voltar a escrever direito, porque sinto que tô ficando meio burra e eu não quero que a eu do futuro tenha uma imagem ruim de mim hahahaha

É estranho postar para mim mesma (e talvez para a Luiza hahaha), e não para seguidores! Mas acho que é um bom exercício de auto-reflexão!

Essa foto é da vista da minha cama, aqui no Canadá. Desde os meus posts de 2017 por aqui minha vida deu um giro muito maluco! Eu casei (isso já era esperado hahaha), fiz muita terapia, ganhei uma sobrinha, ganhei um cachorro top, mudei de país, trabalhei em mil lugares e enfim decidi mudar de carreira.

Esse ano eu fiz 30 e decidi voltar para a cor original do meu cabelo. Decidi juntar menos tralha e priorizar mais minha saúde, andei negligenciando boas noites de sono e preciso mudar isso. Decidi não deixar o que as pessoas que eu amo falam entrar tanto na minha cabeça, mas essa parte é mais difícil.

Vou encerrando por aqui, apesar de sentir vontade de falar mais. Não prometo que essa coisa de ressuscitar o tumblr vai vingar! Mas seja eterno enquanto durar (essa frase foi bem brega, mas rimou hahahaha)!

The Force wasn’t the only great power in the Galaxy. There were also the laws of physics. Kanan was strong in the Force, but the bind he had gotten himself into had to do with physics. (My inevitable “Kanan lives” story. He survives, and the story unfolds from there. Some of it resembles the story we already know, and some of it doesn’t. The ripples travel out.) Update: Chapter 1-8 is a complete story, you can stop reading there and get some nice closure. After that, I’m just kind of adding as I get ideas. Mostly I just like seeing Kanan get to be a dad so that’s what I’m doing. Thanks!

Canonverse but Omegaverse: Though everyone can choose whomever they want as mate, your one true mate, the mate with which you 'sync', is your one best match in the entire galaxy. Poe recognizes Finn as his sync-mate immediately, but Finn is reluctant - extremely. Chapter 3 and various chapters thereon are explicit. This fic is now in epilogue-mode. Everything after Chapter 13 is epilogue. I will come back to it as it pleases me, which, right now, is often. :D

Timothy Lawrence has resigned himself to his fate as Handsome Jack's property, even if it means losing himself. When an attempt by a friend to rescue him lands him in trouble with Jack, Timothy is banished to the casino as punishment. Angry and betrayed, Timothy is all too eager to seize the chance to escape, even if it comes in the form of a brash Operative. When Zane Flynt is hired to steal weapon schematics from Hyperion, he finds himself needing the help of Handsome Jack's Eridium addicted doppelganger. It's supposed to be a simple job, and he and the doppelganger will part ways the moment it's over. Only Zane didn't expect to get so damn attached to Timothy. (OR: Zane accidentally adopts Timothy, and chaos ensues)

Bookmark note: The one where Timothy's made to be hooked on eridium and Zane basically nurses him back to life.

She didn't realize that when her search took her to Emon, the bustling city held both promises for the future and ghosts from the past.

oii, então eu vim aqui falar um pouco de mim e do meu soul mas antes queria dizer que eu copiei essa ideia da mnh amg. Então, eu vim aqui dizer o quanto meu soul me faz bem desde o dia que eu conheci ele.

Em 2017 o grupo theboyz debutou e foi aí que eu percebi que eles com certeza seriam o meu group utt e também foi aí que eu coloquei os olhos no meu garoto, Ji changmin.

Ji changmin. Nascido em 1998, tem 1.76 de altura, tem o sorriso mais lindo que eu vi em toda a minha vida e nasceu em cheongju, de acordo com os meninos do grupo meu namorado( vulgo changmin) ama segurar na mãos alheias ou em outro local pra se sentir seguro.

Ele também ama assistir bob esponja que por sinal é seu desenho favorito e também nos seus outros tempos livres gosta de ver filmes de terror também!!

ele tem duas irmãs mais velhas, e a sua cor favorita favorita é azul celeste.

Ele no grupo também é o dançarino principal e sem querer me gabar em cima dele, mas ele é o melhor dançarino da 4° geração!

No grupo ele é conhecido por ter pescoço longoKKKKK e também é conhecido por seu apelido " Q"

Ah, um momento aleatório dele foi quando eles(grupo dele) foram fazer dance practice de halloween, ele foi de chucky e ficou a coisa mais fofa do mundo achando que todo mundo ia se assustar, e um tempo depois o colega de grupo dele (new/chanhee) abriu uma live e ele apareceu no meio da live com o boneco do chucky chamando ele de fofo e dizendo que ele era lindo e o new começou a gritar HORRORES.

Ele sempre fala que (mas nem é preciso já que todo mundo percebeKKKK ) o ponto atraente dele é as covinhas lindas que insistem aparecer quando ele abre o magnífico sorriso dele, deixando várias pessoas de queixo caídos.

Ah, e ele também é canhoto!!

Me Chame Pelo Seu Nome

 Eu assisti ao filme um mês depois do seu lançamento nos cinemas americanos, em dezembro de 2017, e quando eu terminei o filme eu estava me sentindo cheio de vida e amor. Pode parecer estranho sentir essas coisas quando o filme tem um final triste. Ninguém morre, mas mesmo assim, parece que os dois nunca mais iriam se encontrar (para aqueles que não haviam lido o livro). Então parecia um pouco desalinhado que eu tivesse saído do filme com tanto amor e vida.  

 Me chame pelo seu nome é um filme centrado no jovem de 17 anos, Elio, um garoto prodigioso, entediado com sua pacata vida no norte da Itália. Todo verão, os seus pais, um renomado pesquisador chamado Samuel Pearlman, também conhecido como Sr. Pearlman, e sua mulher Annella, recebem um estudante como hóspede para ajudar o Sr. Pearlman em suas pesquisas, enquanto podem trabalhar em seus doutorados, e no verão de 1983 eles recebem o jovem de 24 anos, Oliver.  

 O Elio e o Oliver têm um começo um pouco frio, o Elio, aparentemente, não cai nas graças do “movie star” que é o Oliver e que encanta a todos da casa com o seu charme e inteligência. O Oliver logo tenta mudar esta situação com o Elio, mas o garoto parece estar intimidado com a personalidade do Oliver e seu encanto. O filme trabalha de forma silenciosa o desejo que vai crescendo entre um e o outro, tanto que o Elio tenta em vários momentos surpreender o Oliver com suas habilidades no piano e seu intelecto, o que caba funcionando mesmo quando ele nem está tentando seduzi-lo. Mal sabia o Elio que o Oliver já estava interessado nele logo na primeira semana que o jovem “movie star” havia chegado em sua casa.  

 Existe um sutil jogo de atração entre os dois que é muito bem dirigido pelo Luca Guadagnino, trabalhando bem algumas cenas de tensão, sejam de desejo, de poder ou de confusão, entre os dois. Quando os dois alcançam um ponto de entendimento e se sentem confortáveis um com o outro para poderem expressarem seus desejos e transmitirem carinho um com o outro e construírem uma relação de sintonia em que nem um ou nem o outro se sintam rebaixados, você consegue sentir que tudo no filme faz sentido, como a fotografia, a edição, o posicionamento da câmera, a trilha sonora e tudo o mais. A química entre o Armie Hammer e o Timothée Chalamet é genuína ao ponto de você querer shippar os dois fora da câmera e realmente acreditar que aqueles dois se amavam e tudo o que nós testemunhamos, foi real.  

 Na fotografia, trabalham com muita cor verde e azul. Eu sinto como se fosse para representar o amor novo e jovem que nasceu quase do nada e simbolizar que aquele cenário é como se fosse o paraíso ou Oasis desse casal jovem. Existem muitas cenas estáticas, em que a câmera só observa ou anda junto com os personagens, o que dá muita liberdade para os atores se sentirem bem à vontade. O filme foi feito quase todo na mesma sequência que o roteiro, o que quer dizer que conforme as cenas vão acontecendo no roteiro, também foram sendo filmadas “cronologicamente”, mas o diretor também revelou ter gravado várias cenas à mais, porém foram cortadas na edição final porque senão o filme teria mais de três horas de duração e “eles tinham um filme para ser feito”. Ter sido gravado assim permitiu que os atores “crescessem” junto com a narrativa e a relação dos dois parecessem genuína.  

 A trilha sonora é uma curadoria de músicas clássicas e músicas do rádio que tocavam na época em que o filme se passa. As músicas originais do filme são do Sufjan Stevens que captura bem o sentimento de amor jovem que ao mesmo tempo pode ser desconcertante e proibido. 

Tudo é feito para culminar nas fortes emoções que o filme transmite. Para alguns é a melancolia de uma despedida, para outros é a nostalgia de viver um grande amor. Eu me senti vivo e cheio de amor porque o filme transparece algo sincero e intocável, algo que você só pode achar em um filme de romance bem-feito e que tudo pareça estar no lugar certo, algo que parece ter saído de um sonho ou uma memória bem preservada.

Sobre Nostalgia, Chegadas e Partidas...

Esses são dois tópicos que tão pilulando na minha cabeça tem um tempo, mas que só agora veio inspiração pra botar no papel. Podem ignorar se quiser. Se vc discorda, discorde ai da sua casa mesmo. Não precisa me mandar ask mal educada não.

Sobre Nostalgia

Dia desses eu tava de bobeira enquanto ajeitava a central nova do TBT e decidi olhar as tags de rpg. Reparei que tanto na tag BR quanto na gringa havia uma reclamação constante sobre como rpg era melhor, com tempos mais simples, onde ninguém tretava por besteira... Mas será que eram mesmo tempos mais simples ou é a boa e velha vovó nostalgia colocando os óculos cor de rosa em você?

Relato de alguém que estava aqui entre 2014 e 2017 (podem olhar na tag jay fala português porra ou Jay rants), esse passado simples, onde ninguém brigava e tudo era belo e mágico nunca existiu. Em 2016 eu tava recebendo chuva de hate por coisa que outra pessoa fazia, já existia famosa prática q muita gente ainda faz hoje em dia de se mandar hate pra hitar, já existia gente mudando de nick como quem troca de roupa, já existia gente criando central do cu pra ir na onda de algum rp q tava sendo sucesso... enfim, vcs entendem.

Esse é o problema com a nostalgia, ela te cega ao ponto de você ignorar que esses "tempos mais simples" nunca existiram. É mais fácil ver assim pq esse período de tempo já passou e o ser humano tem a tendência a ignorar os aspectos negativos do passado ou ampliá-los pra engrandece a si próprio. Nessa brincadeira, faz 10 anos que a tag Br existe como conhecemos hoje, o que mudou nesse espaço de tempo é que alguns de nós estamos percebendo que somos velhos demais pra essas tretinhas bestas da tag, que reclamar não adianta, se você não se propõe a fazer algo pra mudar aquilo e que tem gente nesse meio que não gosta de rpg, gosta é do hype de caçar encrenca.

Essa foi umas questões que quis tratar na primeira temporada do TBT, porque a nostalgia é perigosa, no sentido em que ela faz as pessoas ignorarem as red flags, em busca de um passado que só habita o mundo da imaginação. Todo dia estamos propensos a mudança, mas infelizmente, tem gente prefere ficar ancorade no passado, achando que o problema são sempre os outros, correndo atrás um lugar onde tudo era melhor e que nunca existiu. Como diria Belchior, "Você que ama o passado não vê que o novo sempre vem".

Sobre Chegadas e Partidas...

Tem um programa no GNT que gosto muito, ele se chama "Chegadas e Partidas". É basicamente a Astrid Fontenele num aeroporto, conversando com gente que indo ou vindo de algum lugar. É interessante pq gente comum geralmente tem histórias melhores pra contar do que gente famosa. Acho q é por isso nunca gostei muito de fazer personagens fidalgos (termo que vem da expressão "Filho de Algo" q era mt utilizada no Brasil colônia pra indicar gente importante, não necessariamente membros da nobreza), é mt fácil cair em clichês ou na trope do Ace (vem da expressão Ace of Spades, significa personagem fodão que é bom tudo e que geralmente é feito pra morrer e inspirar o protagonista) e assim, quando seu personagem é onisciente, onipresente e onipotente, qual a graça? Qual a graça de jogar com um personagem que tem toda vida que sempre quis sem destruir? Histórias tem que ter conflitos, pontos de confronto e mudança. Ou o protagonista muda ou elu muda o mundo a sua volta ou os dois.

Mas estou divagando, o meu ponto aqui é q no ep q estava assistindo, um dos enceramentos foi: a gente precisa aprender a hora de chegar e partir, não apenas de lugares, mas a também das vidas das pessoas. Foi ai q eu compreendi uma coisa que um dos players do TBT disse quando pediu unfollow há muito tempo atrás. Não dá pra gente ficar em lugares que não nos cabem, e ainda complemento esse pensamento com um nem tudo é feito pra você e por mais que você tente se adaptar, às vezes você só não tem mais energia pra ficar se esforçando pra caber.

Essa epifania foi o q faltava pra deixar de mão um rpg onde eu estava com meus amigos e focar no meu mesmo. Não que o grupo em questão fosse um lugar ruim, até tentei plotar e conversar de boas, só que assim... eu tenho 38 anos, trabalho num lugar rígido, que um peido fora do tom pode causar demissão, a última coisa q quero é no meu momento de liberdade, ter que ficar me adaptando pra caber no molde alheio, tentando agradar um grupo de desconhecido da internet. Eu cansei disso, sabe. Cansei de ser o "cancelado" como o blogueiro ao lado me chamou ontem, pq na boa, cancelado por quem, pode me dizer? Por um bando de gente que também tá aqui tentando esquecer a própria dor, ao ponto que fica tão cego por isso, que se acha no direito de ficar espalhando caos e destruição na vida dos outros? Se são essa pessoas que querem me cancelar, que seja sabe. Pra mim, é aquela parte do Pai Nosso: "Livrai-nos do mal, Amém.". Não tenho saco pra ficar lidando com adultos com sindrome de regina george que querem ser prefeitos da coitadolândia a todo custo sem mandar tomar no olho do cu, pq senão vão achar que eu sou agressivo. Cansei de ser o cara que sempre pede desculpa, pra evitar discussão, quando eu deveria mandar era mesmo se fuder. Pq sempre acaba com gente dizendo q sou falso, isso ou aquilo, mas esquece das carazadas que faz com os outros por ai, porque o que importa é ser o Zé Tadinho de Mim da Silva.

Enfim, acho que o momento de partida da minha paciência chegou. Se vocês querem que eu seja o vilão, ok eu vou ser o vilão, usem as narrativas que vcs quiserem usar ai. Só tenham em mente que o karma demora, mas ele chega em alguma hora. A gente pode nunca saber, mas ele vai vir sim e como um soco bem forte e pra valer do The Rock.

Ps: O outro cara já saiu do prédio. Ele não anda mais por aqui, então, tratem de procurá-lo em outra freguesia.

January *28th 1290 saw the death of Dervorguilla, Lady of Galloway.

*Dates for this, 21st and 20th of January, and one with a different year but most say this date, also spellings of her name differ.

The Lanercost states that Dervorguilla was the “widow of Lord John de Balliol” and that she “was a woman largely endowed with money and lands, both in England and in Scotland.” It also adds in her favour that “she had a much richer endowment in the nobility of her heart, being daughter and heiress of the magnificent Alan, the sometime Lord of Galloway.” Regarding her death, it states that “She passed from the world, full of years, at Castle Barnard, and was buried at Duquer, in Galloway, a Monastery of Cistercians, which she herself built and endowed.” Looks like ‘endowed’ was a well used term in those days; at least in the Lanercost.

Arguably the most famous fact about her, in Scotland at least, is that she was the mother of our erstwhile King John, it was through her that his legitimate claim to the Scottish crown came about, she was a great-great-granddaughter of King David I. Had she lived a wee whiles her lineage would have thrown up the possibility of her being named Queen of Scotland after the death of Margaret Maid of Norway in September 1290, this would have precluded that nasty Edward I interfering with our affairs, Queen Dervorguilla, how does that sound? This alternative timeline may have been the start of a Balliol dynasty, no Bruce’s or Stewarts such is the ifs and buts of history.

While a lot of marriages were arranged to form alliances and were loveless, that is not the case with that is certainly not the case with Lady Dervorguilla and John Balliol snr, on the death of her husband, in 1268, Dervorguilla had his heart embalmed and kept in a casket of ivory bound with silver. The casket travelled with her for the rest of her life.

Poetry has been written of the love shared between John Balliol and Dervorguilla of Galloway, the Lady also founded New Abbey in Dumfries & Galloway in honour of her husband, after her own death the Monks in the Abbey started calling it Dulce Cor, Latin for Sweet Heart, and so it became known as Sweetheart Abbey.

She was also the co-founder, with her husband of Balliol College, Oxford in 1263, even after John Balliol’s death Lady Dervorguilla continued to support it, securing its permanent endowment in 1282, as well as formal statutes, a seal, and a house to study in. It’s a shame that College did not allow women students until 1979!.

If you have ever visited Dumfries you will have no maybe crossed over the river Nth on Dervorguilla Bridge, built in 1426 and named in her honour.

She was buried in front of the high altar at Sweetheart Abbey. A stone slab in the floor marks the supposed site of her burial, the actually place being lost due to the mindless destruction during the Reformation, their lost graves lie amongst the ruins, which is described as a “shrine to human and divine love”.

An effigy found by archaeologists can be seen at the Abbey, sadly the head is missing, but it is thought to be the Lady and in 2017 it was named number 10 by VisitScotland in their 25 Objects That Shaped Scotland’s History.

Chapter 34

Elio doesn’t realise he’s crying until the sentences blur before his eyes. Harsh, ornery tears that rain down his cheeks to pockmark the ink below. He tries to stifle it - to rein himself in - and once the storm passes he inhales slowly, glances at his wristwatch, then blows it out with a roll of his neck to coax the tension from his body.

The walls, he feels, are still closing in, and while normally he’d burn off his restless energy with a walk around the grounds, any thoughts of leaving soon disintegrate when he finds an unfamiliar envelope attached to the rear of the page. It’s nothing special. Just a plain white six by four. But the phrase on the front - a simple Cor Cordium in elegant cursive - sits like some Freudian puzzle just waiting for him to solve.
