That's right I'm already planning things for after my vacation🤣Kinda wish I could do cosplay during the holidays but stupid luggage weight limits.

When I get back though I'll be throwing myself into prepping my Suletta cosplay for a shoot in February. That being said I really need to make some more photographer friends in Tokyo 🤔

Sorry I didn't post anything about MCM today, I was active on Instagram about it though! But I was incredibly overstimulated the whole time and had 0 depth perception, but I saw some friends, and bought a lot of shite. I also didn't take pictures because again- overstimulated, and I didn't go to the ghosts signing because I didn't get a ticket in time! Held my breakdown back until I got back to my hotel haha.

It was a very good time though :3 lemme know if you saw me bumping into things.

Going to Anime North 2023

Yay!

So looking forward to it since this year they’re sending out the badges. So I’ll be able to cosplay the first day instead of standing in line.

I went 2018, 2019 and 2022. Last year there was an ambulance due to the heat and long lines.

I’ve already started to order some stuff for cosplay, like a magic pen from TWST. Plan is to do Riddle, maybe Epel and then Venti from Genshin since I have the wig. Only had one cosplay last year and a themed outfit.

Definitely need to order a light binder, but that’ll be the easy part.

I’ll be honest, I do go with my parents to these events since they enjoy going with me and seeing everything. I have a fandom list for my mom so she’ll remember characters and my favourites.

Also in said Venti wig on Christmas fresh out the present, had a low ponytail in.

2023 plans!

2022 was not a very good year for me creatively. I didn't get as many projects finished as I wanted or attend as many events as I usually do. I took time to sit down and think about what prevented me from creating. I have the ideas, materials, everything. I realized I had become overwhelmed by my own disorganization. Going into my costume closet and sewing room only made me think of all the work I had to do to pick up and clean before I even had the space to sew. This year my goal is to get organized. I have already purchased new cabinets for costume parts, wall shelves for the sewing room, and plan on getting shelving in the basement where I keep all my fabric. It is going to be a big and expensive project, but I know having my space clean and organized will motivate me to start creating again. I am excited for 2023 and the creative possibilities!

2/16/23 update: The step 1 goal has been achieved! Pictures have been posted on my Instagram of the cleaned sewing room and costume attic! I have 2 new projects in the works that will be done in March! Keep an eye out for Harrowhark and my new fantasy dress inspired by ghostly will-o-wisps.

Hey, y'all! Normally I hate asking for this kind of stuff unless it's for something outside of my own benefit, but I just made an Amazon wish list for my 2023 cosplans! Since cosplays can be super expensive and I'm on a pretty tight budget, I need as much help as I can get to make this year's cosplans a reality.

Two costumes I'm determined to make this year. As well as finishing Aerith that I've had mostly done since the first covid lockdown 🤣! Base dress bought for Yennefer and it's been shipped, so hopefully it'll be as good as I think it will and can make a start casually on that.

Cosplan for DragonCon 2023 - Dark!River Song

Made a Linhardt cosplay last October and got some pics of him at May MCM! Linhardt was originally a cosplan from 2020 (lol) so I’m really glad I finally got around to making it last year. He’s hands down my fave from three houses and honestly a character I relate to a lot, not to mention I love his timeskip design, so it was such a joy to finally cosplay him!

I think if anything the cosplay looks better irl since all the green ends up looking a little… plain? in the pics, but I was really happy with the fabrics I chose for this outfit and I think they come across well in the detail shots!!
