How many works do you have on AO3? I've got 19 fics currently on ao3 (but I always think about deleting some of them so that number may go down).

What fandoms do you write for? Currently I only write historical RPF, but I've got two Still Star-Crossed stories on my profile as it stands. It was very fun to write them but the show wasn't renewed and eventually my passion ran out.

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Though not always successful (I'm kind of a forgetful person, sorry!) I try to respond to comments because I like to acknowledge the person's effort in commenting. It's very easy to simply read and leave a like/kudos, but leaving a comment sometimes after you're still processing a story or when you're naturally very shy takes a bit more from you. So I like to acknowledge that.

What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Probably To love God is to love a sinner, but some stories have ambiguous endings such as The Relentless Weight and more recently, The Hour of the Wolf.

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Probably my no-plot-only-fluff fic, White Christmas

Do you get hate on fics? Not frequently, thankfully, though that's probably because the readership I get is so small. I did once get a comment saying my story was too cheesy, and another one once berating me for describing Elizabeth of York as 'blonde' (a herald who witnessed her coronation described her hair as 'light yellow'; so please don’t tell me I’m wrong ♥)

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I do (though not frequently), which is considered controversial because I write about real (albeit historical) people. Sex is part of the human experience and it can tell us a lot about the characters and the relationships, so I try to feel less guilty about it. I also like to take smut as an exercising in writing: to test how far I can get in evoking a sensation without getting into more explicit territory is always a challenge.

Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? In terms of different fandoms? I don't remember ever doing that. I have mixed different eras, though.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I'm aware of!

Have you ever had a fic translated? Again, not that I'm aware of.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? Not a fic per se, but once I did share an AU with @harritudur and another friend. It was very fun :D

What’s your all-time favourite ship? I do love to explore the relationship between Henry VII and Elizabeth because it was so unlikely to have happened in the first place, let alone succeed. I find it very touching! I do have other ships, though.

What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? It's not a WIP that I have posted anywhere but I did start writing a oneshot that I wanted to dedicate to a friend about the relationship between Edward IV and George of Clarence! It did feature a few unexpected people too.

What are your writing strengths? Probably dialogue and themes. It's difficult to say, I pick my writing apart so much when I'm in the process of writing it, once I publish it's very hard for me to go back and confront myself. It all kind of turns into nebulous territory.

What are your writing weaknesses? Many, many things but scene transitions are probably at the top of the list! That's why my story chapters usually all take place in a single scene.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? As a bilingual person I find it important to portray this completely unique experience of mixing two languages as they come (if the character in question is multilingual). It's not a popular view, though I do think people should get more comfortable with not understanding word-by-word everything that ever comes across the page. The strangeness of being confronted with a language that you do not know is a part of a different kind of experience and it can only enrich your reading. Of course, all should be within reasonable limits: information that is essential to the overall story should be in the language the story is set in.

First fandom you wrote for? I think it was Star Wars but I can't remember if I actually published it anywhere. I was very very young lol

Favourite fic you’ve ever written? Blooming has a very dear place in my heart, it was the first fic I actually felt like accomplishing myself in terms of achieving the characterisation I wanted for my characters and creating a narrative that made sense for their development.

aaaaa i'm sorry, i should have been specific about the kind of question, it's more related to coming out than bisexuality specifically now that i think about it >.<

i've been identifying as a lesbian for years and for a while now i've been feeling like maybe i'm actually bi but i'm honestly terrified of exploring that and i don't know what to do. every time i try to think it through i get so stressed out that i start to cry because i have a lot of feelings and experiences that feel so hard to sort out but at the same time i know i can't keep pretending forever. the hardest thing is that i've felt my attraction swing so strongly in the other direction after feeling nothing about men for years and it's making me so sad and disgusted with myself. it's i've been sitting on this all year and it's really starting to take a toll on me now that i realized it's almost 2024 and i'm still lying to everyone about this. i was hoping if it's not too much to ask you might be able to give me some advice on how you navigated this bc you seem so confident and i feel really lost and anxious since i can't talk to anyone i know in real life about it. i know that this is a lot so please feel free to ignore it if you don't want to answer, thank you so much for reading whether you decide to answer or not

Firstly a big hug to you, I'm sorry you've been in so much emotional pain and that you have felt isolated in all this 😢🫂 I know that when you're in that place, it can feel like such a big deal even just to say "I'm hurting in this way" to another person, so I'm really touched you came to me 💙

My biggest piece of advice to you would be to do your best to move away from the question of "what am I really?" and towards the question "what do I want?" It's been my experience that approaching questions of sexuality as though there's some fixed, immutable truth to your sexual identity that is just waiting there for you to uncover is little more than a painful, drawn-out exercise in making yourself miserable. That's exactly what I did when I first came out at 20, and if I could change anything about my life, it would be to not quite literally lock myself in my room for weeks doing nothing but dissecting my life and over-intellectualizing my feelings in an attempt figure all that out. Sure I came out of it with some kind of answer, but the experience left me horrifically depressed and destroyed my self worth, and it took a long time to bounce back from that - especially since I felt a lot of shame about the state I was in, and I couldn't bring myself tell anyone else about what had brought it about.

I mention all that because what I see in your message is that you are being similarly hard on yourself, and I want you to know that there is a much healthier way to approach this that will hopefully leave you feeling more comfortable, confident, and in control. Shifting the question to "what do I want?" allows you to consciously dictate the terms of the process instead of getting overwhelmed by your anxieties. It takes your fear out of the driver's seat and puts you firmly in it.

What do you want? What makes you happy? What do you value? What aspects of you and your life do you treasure, what do you want to cultivate, what would be best left behind? What would you do if there were no limits on you? At the end of your life, what do you want to be able to say about how you lived your life?

These are big, essential questions, ones we unfortunately don't often get the space to take a step back and thoughtfully consider our answers to as we deal with juggling school, work, and adult life and obligations. One benefit to being in a state of questioning is that you have already created the space to ask big questions about yourself. Why not broaden the scope a bit? Instead of just asking questions about who you are, these questions give you the space to holistically figure out who you want to be.

You wanted to know how I navigated this — that's how! I didn't want to put myself through what I experienced at 20 again. I asked myself these questions and they helped me understand that if I wanted to act in line with my adult priorities, I needed to let go a bit, give myself the permission to make a change in order to keep growing into the person I want to be. I won't get into all the specifics but it helped a lot to concretely articulate certain things to myself, such as "sex & sexuality are important to how I understand myself and my gender" and "it's more important to me to have the freedom to do the things I want and need to than it is for others to understand them." It helped me establish my own rules of engagement with the sexual identity question so I could make that process a helpful one for me instead of something deeply destabilizing.

Take a deep breath — you are in control here, you are the boss of you. I completely understand how overwhelmed and lonely you must be feeling. Along with re-shifting your focus, I suggest that you find some outlet for those feelings, whether it's a forum or server where you can talk to other people who are in the same boat, journaling, moving your body in a way that's enjoyable for you, playing a game, making something, anything that helps ground you. Even finding a place where you can just say "I feel overwhelmed" without having to get into specifics can help alleviate some of that stress. People will be here for you if you let them know you're hurting, even if you're not ready or aren't able to give them the details.

Lots of love to you. I know you can move forward in a healthier way, some days will be better than others, what's important is that we remember to give ourselves grace through all the emotional ups and downs. I hope this helps a little bit 🫂💙

        Thursday morning, 18 January 2024

        My dream builds upon a typical R.E.M. atonia response, including my sleeping position (modeling my lack of mobility and access to my real-world environment in presenting a cage, usually witnessed, as here, rather than me being inside it because of my protoconscious state), unrelated to real-world details other than featuring a cat we presently have in Australia, but my dream's location is America without much real-world identity.

        While lying on the ground on my left side (my current real-world sleeping position), in daylight, I watch about seven chicks walking inside a small cage in the Loomis Street backyard (unseen in waking life since February 1994). Dennis (half-brother on my mother's side) had placed them here. I feel I am supposed to watch them, but I soon notice that the gray cat is also inside the cage, and she is watching the chicks as if she might want to eat one. (A cat, since childhood, has often been a potential liminal state marker, and being on the right, in this case, matches that association because I am sleeping on my left side - with real-world orientation in trying to come to my senses oriented to my right. It has remained a fundamental attribute of my dreaming history for over 50 years.)

        The cage is on uneven ground with no bottom, allowing a few chicks to escape under a gap on its right, a liminal association with potential access to real-world physicality, signifying leaving my current status of R.E.M. atonia. However, in this dreaming stage and mode, I am not nearing the end of my sleep cycle.

        Some of the chicks fall into a deep hole in the ground. I want to retrieve them. The narrative's details lose realism. The hole is near the bottom of the staircase (that, in real life, led to the house's second floor). This feature corresponds with vestibular-motor dynamics (that would otherwise build the slope navigation factor) but without real-world consciousness or mobility, so the hole (a closer focus on my lack of consciousness) implies a fall (near the staircase or slope) even though my dream self does not make that association in this instance.

         My left arm seems unrealistically long as I reach down into the hole to retrieve the chicks. (I use my left arm because I am sleeping on my left side and currently pulling myself back into the illusion of the dream state rather than progressing toward waking.)

        I see a small, unrealistic (like cheap CGI) yellow dragon on a ledge about a foot down. At first, I am slightly wary of it because I mistakenly perceive it as much larger, but it is only about the size of my fist. I continue to try to get a chick that is now less than the size of my finger. It goes behind something at the bottom of the hole, and I cannot get it.

        My dream resets, and most chicks are back in the cage. I no longer see a cat.

Weekly Forecast: March 22 – 28, 2020

3/22 ~ Mercury (acumen) ~sextile~ Uranus (the Awakener): (3 of 3: 2/5 ~ 2/28 ~ 3/22)

This energy says, it’s time to go with the flow – “new and different” being the flow. It wants to shake it up a bit – in a good way. However, if you feel like new and different is more like chaos and disruption, then you may need to reflect and see if you aren’t being too rigid. Unwillingness to go with the (new) flow will make this energy harder to handle. This is also a good time to try to resolve any old issues or challenges – they are not going away without resolution and conscious release. Perhaps you’ve been trying the same thing over and over and it’s time to try something NEW – now is the time new ideas can/will come to you. Pay attention! Try to be open and receptive to unusual things, events or ideas and allow room for spontaneity. You may think you are doing one thing and look up and being doing something completely different – be open to exploring the new path!

3/22 ~ Venus (essence & natural beauty) ~sextile~ Neptune (consciousness & vision):

This energy connects your true values & priorities to the planet of dreams, mysticism & other dimensions (Neptune). You have an opportunity to gain some traction on making your vision tangible just by connecting to the essence you want to experience. Feel the feeling and that will lead to the physical manifestation. This energy helps you believe in what is possible and supports any artistic expression or active practice, such as vision boards, affirmations etc, that which helps you hone the actual vision. Steps & strategies are for other planets, Venus only cares about the essence of nature & love and Neptune is definitely not who you’d work with for ‘steps/strategies’ ; -) Tune in to the natural beauty around you and suspend any usual inner dialogue for a day or two (as soon as you can) so you can connect to some inspiration that is guided by your own Heart & Soul (from the inside-out).

3/23 ~ Mars (desires) ~conjunct~ Pluto (transformation):

This is an extremely powerful combination of energy. If it is properly channeled, magical results are possible. If your ego is engaged, tragic results are possible. This is ‘lower will’ versus ‘higher will’ together, increasing each other’s strength and potency. So if you know who you are and what you want, then this energy can catapult you to the next level, giving you endless energy, power and drive to accomplish your goals. Restriction of any kind will make you angry & frustrated, so anticipate as much as you can and get creative. You may have to work within certain limitations, but don’t let your ego (or wanting your way) block the blessing of this transit. Any time Pluto is involved, complete transformation is at work, so go with it. Be clear about your desires, commit to release any/all blockages and own your power in a positive way, no victim consciousness lest you attract a victim circumstance.

I would like to say that Mars has a 2-year cycle, so every 2-years since 2008, when Pluto entered Capricorn, we have all been going through this repeated cleansing & renewing of the Sacred Masculine within. With a total of 8-Initiations in Capricorn, you can look for the first one in Aquarius on Valentine’s Day 2024, when hopefully we will renew our Love for HUMANITY and being the communal creatures that we are. It is toxic, patriarchal conditioning that tells you to ‘go it alone’. So we’ve been learning to be responsible for ourselves, our own thoughts, feelings & actions. Now we are going to see, more glaringly than ever, how we truly affect each other even when we are far apart because we are one species, sharing one water, one air, one Earth. All Life is connected and if we are the “intelligent” species we think we are, then it’s time for the Modern Steward of the Earth to be born.

3/24 ~ ARIES New Moon:

This is an annual Initiation of the New You, the New Year and a brand New Beginning that is available for those who choose the New, leave the Old/Past behind, and bravely stepping into the unknown. This is an annual opportunity to release imbalances within ourselves and our relationships or environment, anything that is preventing the Aries/New Beginning from unfolding naturally. The Sagittarius Last Qtr Moon (3/16) illuminated what is no longer true for you, personally. You are on completely new ground now and the Aries New Moon launches us all to the next level. Consider how much has been cleared and released just in the last year alone. This first *Seed Point* is vital to the next 6-12 months of growth and expansion. It is truly time to close out and release anything no longer essential to your reality or evolution. The message is: Don’t Rush and Neither Postpone. This is the week to dedicate your Self to taking responsibility for whatever you have chosen to create, then consciously prepare to go for it in the very near future! Any residual imbalances can be released with the upcoming Libra Super/Full Moon (4/7) which will likely reveal where more *Internal Balance* is required for you to truly anchor this emerging Identity. It may also reveal where more *External Balance* is required for you to maintain relationships or agreements with others (or not). Most likely, some of both will manifest. This month’s lunation sets us up for some very new territory, stay alert and present, especially when navigating with others, in relationship or community.

3/27 ~ Venus (socialize) ~trine~ Jupiter (optimism & travel):

This is usually a pleasant energy, although short lived. This is a good time to enjoy some kind of social activity. No pressure – just easy, laid-back fun. It can make you prone to laziness or excess, but only if you’re already prone to that. Otherwise, if you are typically busy and constantly on the go, this energy gives you permission to kick back a little and release the usual pressures to produce. Take some time out to “smell the roses” or at least reflect on all that you have accomplished and give your Self due credit for coming this far. This is a good time to travel, go on a vacation or take a short trip. This energy tends to bring forth earned blessings. Take a moment to give thanks to the powers that be which brought you to this point!

3/28 ~ Venus (values, relationships & resources) ~trine~ Pluto (purification & transformation):

Anytime Pluto’s involved the intensity levels go up and you are able to hear, feel or sense your SoulSelf more clearly than usual. Venus brings up that which is most important to you personally, your individual values & priorities, where your relationships & resources are concerned. This is an easy angle, making purification & transformation smoother than usual too. So, what are you ready to change? How have your values & priorities changed completely in the last year or so? Use this activation to deepen your connection with those you love most and allow or encourage the relationship to evolve to a totally new level. If you’re working on your relationship with money or self-worth specifically, then this activation is a good time for prayer or ritual that supports positive change & your vision for the future. Pour any intense emotions or revelations into art of any medium or do a vision board, but give expression to the depths you are recognizing as they are coming to the surface of your conscious awareness. This energy tends to “intensify” relationships and/or emotions. You may feel extremely drawn to someone, emotionally as well as physically. You may feel the intense need to express your love, mentally, emotionally or physically. This energy is great for bringing deeper insights to the surface, which ultimately should strengthen any relationship. Who would make a good woman president?

COMMENTARY:

Hillary Clinton.

If she was a Republican, she would not even register on my radar. Women are not the problem. The 19th Amendment is the gateway to the Kingdom of Heaven and the only thing that has been blocking the entrance are the Platonic Form/Archetype captured by the white male Pro-Life cognitive organization.

The Pro-Life manifesto is an example of Fascist sophistry. Marxism is an example of Fascist sophistry.

The US Constitution is an example of process theology. Planned Parenthood is an example of process theology. “Call the Mid-wife” is one example of the economic virtue that obtains in the combination of process theology and the economics of Jesus.

So, after a life-time of considering an adequate explanation for leaving the army that would give my mother peace of mind and spiritual reward, I can sum it up by saying I ran into a Pro-Lfe white male as a commaning officer with zero degrees of separation and I, figuratively shit in my pants. My entire value system blew up.

And I prayed a prayer “What do I do NOW, Lord?” with considerable energy. There’s a joke there, between me and the Holy Spirit that, that is based on anyone trained at Ft. Benning in leadership as an element of command. There are a series of films “What are you going to do NOW, Lieutenant?” and the players break the fourth wall and everybody on screen is looking at you, personally, as an individual.

I literally had a moment like that: it was a tranformational moment, the instant process theology really kicked in. I wrote a story about it as part of an orientation weekend for my masters program. I was the only one interrupted during the presentation and destroyed the drama moment, which is one way Vietnam is constantly jossling my elbow. “What I did on my summer vacation”. Everyday in the Army was another day in paradise for me, the endless summer.

Until I hit that wall. “summer vacation” happened after I shit in my pants. And now, I’m in serious prayer, trying to find a way out of a nightmare.

And, clear as a bell, “Leave” rose in my consciousness.

Leave? I couldn’t leave! I mean, if I wanted to leave, the Army won’t let me just take a time out and do the rest of my tour by correspondence course. My entire future was both terra incognita and mapped out. Pirates and Travels, The Odyssey. 12 Strong. 30 years and troop the colors one last time. The Army was Plan A. There was no Plan B.

And, for the only time in my life, Jesus spoke to me in the manner of SWAT team leader going in a door “Follow Me!” and here I am, today, still trying to provide a simple explanation to satisfy my mother. Go read Chris Christopherson’s wiki site, His entire family shunned him, I think, for ever. And that’s just mom. You have the entire Army community to avoid the rest of your life.

Whither the prodigal son, when he’s an Army brat?

So, my best explanation is that it comes down to Pro-Life white males with (R) behind their names currently running the GOP. I am a Planned Parenthood white male with an (R) after my name and before the 2024, election, my vision is to restore the GOP to the adult leadership of the Planned Parenthood wing of the party.

For me, Pro-Life women with an (R) are pillars of salt. They are beyond my capacities. Pro-Life women with a (D) are a paradox. I don’t agree with them, but it’s a gender-specific commitment.

For me, choicefulness is a Pro-Life strategy and Planned Parenthood generates choicefulness, which is characteristic of process theology. Be all you can be. Pass it on. Feeback-Feed Forward-Feed Through.

So, Hillary Clinton would make an excellent president. Her singular weakness common to the Democrat Leadership Council is her embrace of Reaganomics. albeit with a Democrat bias to altruism in contrast to the naked display of selfishness of the Reaganonomics of Mick Mulvaney and Grover Norquist. And the Koch brothers, for that matter. FOX New, the Greed Is Good/Prosperty Gospel Channel.

The issue isn’t that Hillary is a (D) Reaganomics women: it’s that there is a better way and, of all the people in politics to day, Hillary Clinton is exaclty the kind of person to rethink governance, given that altruism is an excellent common point of departure. Planned Parenthood is what Christian Stewardship looks like and Christian Stewardship is an exercise in generosity of spirit. Altruism is generosity of spirit with training wheels. The economics of Jesus is defined by the practical exercise of generosity of spirit.

And, so, there isn’t much of a leap for Hillary to fix herself along with the rest of America, In the mean time, being able to motivate yourself by recognizing the contrast between her and any given Pro-Life white male with an (R) behind their names and give us Planned Parenthood the support we need to destroy the GOP Deep State.

Here’s a paradox: if Sarah Palin had been groomed by a Planned Parenthood team working for McCain in 2008, and had become VP as a Planned Parenthood woman with an (R), I think she could have become comparable to Hillary. But she was surrounded by Pro-Life white males like Bill Kristol and Mike Pence and, well, that’s why Hillary continues to get my vote.

And, if you are one of those people who are not Trump voters who still believe their opinion that Hillary was a terrible candidate does not reflect subliminal contagion from the combination of the party line of the GOP Deep State and the Russian bots, you need to examine your epistemology with some care. Parent Effectiveness Training is an excellent self-assessment technique for emotional intelligence. The GOP Deep State has invested big bucks in convincing you that Hillary was a terribe candidate and your emotional investment in that proposition is the payoff. Be a pillar of salt, not.
