Of all the slacktivism trends that've come and gone, I think my favorite will always be #22kill. I don't know if people are still doing it, but it used to be this thing where you'd raise awareness of veteran mental health, because 22 vets kill themselves every day. The person posting would record themselves doing 22 pushups and tag others to do it as well.
It's my favorite because it's pure military brainrot breaking into the mainstream. When you have a systemic problem, do pushups about it. Did that fix it? No? Then try having other people do pushups about it. If that didn't fix it, the problem is insurmountable.
I wonder if someone could con the boomers on Facebook into doing a group run...

Top-Selling Luxury Fashion Brands Made In The United States
Beautiful, ethically sound, fashionable clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, and jewelry are manufactured by top made-in-America clothing fashion houses and luxury garment manufacturers under strict social and environmental guidelines. They encourage the growth of a circular economy that helps local businesses and craftspeople because they feel a greater responsibility to the environment and social issues.
To help you dress well and sustainably when you want to support American workers, several clothing manufacturers and merchants provide stylish and eco-friendly apparel ethically created in the USA. These luxury made-in-America clothing companies and designers produce artisanal collections, haute couture, and fashion-forward designs supporting environmental responsibility and sustainability.
With its brand-new Invader Stout, Infamous Brewery stopped by. Without all the beer, it wouldn't be a Rogue American event. The Stout was a hot topic of conversation. On that hot Texas afternoon, it was, at the very least, cooling. The barbecue on Saturday was provided by Grill Your Ass Off. The bacon and brisket were presented with a special spice mixture. Mouth-watering!
People flew in from all around the country to be friends and supporters. Bert Sorin, Whitlock's friend and ardent supporter spoke of their friendship and the enduring commitment and support they have shown for one another. Afterward, Robert Oberst spoke about his brother's military experience and how encouraging it was to interact with the attendees. 22KILL was present because a portion of the sales would go to charity.
They appeared, spoke briefly about their work, and offered supporters a tent. When Kristen Graham inaugurated the on-site gym, Iron Savage Barbell, speeches were finished. She decided to have everyone throw down in true RAA style with the support of the shield, friends, and family after talking to everyone who showed there and learning how much they appreciated what Whitlock had established.
The Conan Wheel marked the beginning of the day's training. The fun started after a few rounds of low-weight to warm up. The Conan Wheel was used to transport bodies piled on top of one another. The moment when Zach Ruhl told Oberst, "I need you to be my legs" so that he could carry the Conan Wheel for the first time, was the high point. "I'm fucking down," Oberst retorted. Oberst hoisted Ruhl, and the two of them engaged. As they completed the work, the crowd erupted. Pure brutality!
Following the enthusiasm, everyone fanned out and broke records, lifted heavy weights, cheered each other on, and shared equipment like belts and wraps. If Rogue American is skilled at anything, it entices people to join the family

Posting this image from this time last year. It’s been a hard year. Both body and emotions have been squeezed through the wringer: heart surgery, losses, overwhelming sense of falling behind, drowning in responsibilities. However, recently I’ve seen some light at the end of this tunnel. I will be back! . . . . #determined #survivor #strong #22kill #battlebuddy #wearebruins #bjubruins (at Greenville, South Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/B291vIpj-eO/?igshid=2ef0o8bsieky

It’s weird. The way I see it, the US military having recruitment problems is broadly a good thing. When not even ending a war decreases your military budget, something has to give.
And frankly I think that the reality is that the people of recruiting age these days, regardless of any other factor, spent their entire life watching the US be sort of at constant war. A drip feed of war. Strike fucks up and kills a dozen civilians. Lady Gaga. A rocket got through and killed 3 soldiers. Miley Cyrus. They beheaded another journalist. Jon Stewart owns Tucker Carlson. Stop-loss. Planking takes the internet by storm. Veterans of a war still ongoing plainly visible on the sidewalk with a cardboard sign. Obama’s mustard suit. ISIS seems unstoppable. Abu Ghraib. Gitmo. Taxed Enough Already #TEAParty. Occupy Wall Street. 22kill.  We killed the 999th Number 2 guy in all of Al Qaeda. And so on.
I don’t know what other people were thinking, watching the withdrawal from Afghanistan, but I doubt it was a surge in patriotic fervor.
That’s what the grayheads that run this country didn’t count on. They were used to being able to browbeat the young people into serving to prove their worth, while they’d spent a generation proving their cause was worthless.
9/11 is finally over.
Which means we’re back to the late 90s, when guys like Colonel Hackworth were constantly fretting over how America had got too fat and selfish to go to war. And if they went to war, they’d be screwed because of the gays and pregnant females. Old men used to war working a certain way, who see the tide turning and don’t question whether their boat belongs where it is, just damning the sea for receding.
America’s “global presence” is done. We’re not just tired of paying for it. The kids don’t wanna sign up for it. And if you try to draft ’em, we’ll have your head.
But some people seem convinced that there’s gonna be a draft and an apocalyptic war with Russia because... something something Biden son Burisma. I feel pretty confident saying that if you’re an American worried about dying in a war with Russia... don’t go to Ukraine to volunteer to fight. That’s it. It’s that easy.

My friend @dan_catena_ at @adldemocleanuphauling reached out to me to let me know how he’s showing his support for #22kill a community that raises awareness and combats suicide by empowering veterans, first responders, and their families through traditional and non-traditional therapies. Dan and I have ordered decals from www.22kill.com to show our support and placed them on all of our trucks and dumpsters. If you own a dumpster company please help support this great cause. If you own any company that you would like to help every bit counts. #decalsfordumpsters #monmouthcounty #supportlocal #supportveterans #suicideprevention #police #firefighter #veterans #dumpsters #junk (at Holmdel, New Jersey) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBUFRvLAzHb/?igshid=1fmgft1kt8xa5

In 2014 I was hit by a car, it was a hit and run. It may have been the mixture of resources and a change in lifestyle but I grew to be 222. That's an odd number. I can't tell you how much I care about #22kill Family is those who chose to be there for you through thick and thin, not only blood. Perhaps the biggest thing I've understood is how so many veterans are misunderstood and judged. #transformation #transformationtuesday #womenempowerment #womenwholift #strong #strongwomen #veteran #staystrong #ily #nojudgement #SunshineSoldier #CryptoQueenE https://www.instagram.com/p/B9lC9RjAgil/?igshid=1374izk58tfb1

You are the only one holding yourself back. Nobody else is in control of your mind or body, just you, own it. One day at a time, figure out what drives you? What makes you wanna get out of bed in the morning? What makes you wanna be better each day? The answers may change from time to time and that awesome! What once drove us, may not have been the right direction in the first place, so take that detour! Change is good! I really like to get creative with my WODs! This is one using a cinderblock! Absolutely loved it! Take a few of these exercises and do a quick 10 minute EMOM or 20 Minute AMRAP. I also knocked out 22 push-ups for @22kill_actual Go check them out! . . . . #cinderblock#wod#train#livefree#livefit#fitmind#fitlife#movement#functionaltraining#core#strongwomen#fitmom#fitteacher#lead#bethegood#behuman#reebok#reebokone#creative#freedom#training#ocr#ocrtraining#22kill (at Hanover County, Virginia)
