Sukuna stiffened from where he was standing when you winked his way. You were so gorgeous even when your eyes were slightly red at the rims and all banged up that he would have needed herculean effort to wrench his gaze from you. Under normal circumstance, that is. At the moment, his eyes simply kept straying to the doctor whose arms were akimbo as he regarded you with tired, worried eyes.

“My sister will kill me if she finds out the truth.”

Ah, Sukuna thought, nothing scarier than a protective uncle.

“She won’t,” you assured, standing up slowly. “I got this."

The man nodded and approached you, patting your head before leaving, but not without glaring daggers at Sukuna who bowed and stayed bent at a ninety-degree angle until your uncle was out of view. He immediately straightened up to face you only to repeat the gesture before you again.

“I sincerely apologize for injuring you like this. Please allow me to shoulder the bills for your treatment.” He was still sweating profusely, his shirt sticking to his musculature like saran wrap. The ordeal wasn’t done yet. You might have pacified your uncle, but it did not necessarily mean that he was off the hook. “I’m so, so sorry.”

His nervousness at your lack of response heightened with every second that he remained in that position of contrition. It was nerve-wracking when he wasn’t used to submitting to anyone’s demands or wishes, much less begging anyone for forgiveness. He couldn’t see your face so he wasn’t exactly sure how you were reacting to everything. But much to his surprise, he saw your shoe-clad feet as you stood before him.

“You don’t have to bow down like that in front of me,” you spoke, your voice coming out with a husky ring to it. “Your apology would have sufficed.”

Sukuna stood up to look at you, stepping back when he saw you smiling brightly at him albeit your discomfort. For the first time, he noticed how your leg was already cleaned and bandaged while your broken elbow was wrapped in a cast, hanging on a sling over your shoulder. How you could stay so positive despite your pain was something he found awe-inspiring and he couldn’t help but feel the slight upward tug at corners of his mouth.

“Are you okay?” he blurted out, quick to take it back when he realized just how stupid his question was. “I’m sorry. That was…” He sighed. You seemed to have the ability to render him into a blithering cretin, and he had to admit even just to himself that it wasn’t only the guilt or the nerves resulting from almost killing you. You were just so pretty his brain-to-mouth filter has become nonexistent.

“I’m not, but thank you for asking,” you responded appreciatively, lifting your injured arm slightly for emphasis. “I’m Y/N, by the way. You’re Ryomen?”

“Ryomen Sukuna.”

“Sukuna. It’s nice to meet you.”

Your eyes then strayed to the other person in the room. “Hi, Uraume.”

“Hey, Y/N. I hope you’re not in so much pain.”

Sukuna looked on with curiosity at the exchange. He didn’t know that his best friend even knew you after they had to show him your online profile instead of just telling him about you like a normal person. He shot Uraume a dirty look, realizing he had been played.

“Sorry if my friend’s an idiot. It’s a birth defect.”

Sukuna was about to protest, but then he heard you giggle, suppressing it when you saw him looking at you in an attempt to be polite. Why you were doing that was weird. If anything, you ought to be raging mad. He sighed. Uraume was right. He did you considerable damage.

Again, he said, “I’m sorry, Y/N.”

“It’s alright. You’re forgiven.”

“Really?” He arched a brow at you in question, not quite understanding where your good mood seemed to be coming from. If he was in your shoes, he would have thrown a fit and taken advantage of whoever caused him to hurt.

“Yes.”

Just like that? “Why?”

“It was an accident. You weren’t really meaning to run me over, were you?”

The thought horrified him. He may be a dick, but he wasn’t exactly lacking in morals. “God, no.”

“Then it’s settled.”

How you could be so nice about it was a big puzzle to him, but he would have that any other day than your family coming after him. He knew he was being dramatic earlier, but there was still the possibility. He thanked you and started to excuse himself to settle the bills, but you stopped him, holding onto his arm and shaking your head.

You flashed him an embarrassed smile, your cheeks adorned with a dusting of roses. “You don’t have to.”

“Their family co-owns the hospital,” Uraume supplied, shrugging as if in long-suffering.

“Oh.” Of course, he thought, finding it hard not to grimace at how narrowly he escaped the fate he was thinking about just earlier. Now, he seriously felt bad knowing you’re basically a princess – a very beautiful one with an equally beautiful heart – and yet a nobody like him did you wrong.

“I’ll tell you what,” you began, “I wouldn’t really want to impose upon you, but if you want to make it up to me, I’ll appreciate it if you drive me home today.”

“I’ll drive you home every day to school until you’re well enough. I’ll help you with whatever you need, just…please, let me,” he said without thinking.

Sukuna saw Uraume arching a brow at him, knowing exactly what was going on in their mind as they furtively shook their head. He was a womanizing bastard after all, but that wasn’t the intention he had with you at all. He would do anything and everything to stop feeling guilty over what he did to you, and he knew he wouldn’t be able to manage that without doing anything.

You eyed him thoughtfully, your head tilting to the side which he found endearing. But he immediately snapped out of it when you nodded your head and said, “That will be very convenient. I wouldn’t have to call my parents to send me a driver.”

Anything but your parents, he thought, mouth stretching into a tight smile as he nervously nodded. “Just call me whenever.”

Crack Theory Time

We got options here bb:

Creator -> still alive and is the thing that took Yuamu. The cat is her physical form while the purple lady is her consciousness. The Creator is doing because (TBD) and Yuamu agreed to it because (TBD). Same with the other Darkmen. The physical bodies form the outer shell but the "souls" are in the cats. The Velgearians never "died". They were just shirted to make them easier to use. This also means the Creator tricked Kuaiduol because (TBD) making the Creator the ultimate BBEG, ig. Problem: Why/How was Zwijo exempt? Makes no sense to leave him how he is if they're easier to control as a Darkmen. Could be for "plot reasons" ig.

The dark thing was some wack ass third party and convinced Yuamu to make the DME because (TBD). The Velgearians are the "cards" of the Ohdos, and thus, any "Ohdo" earthdamar can repurpose them at anytime. The Velgearians are basically on a timer, where if they don't get a replacement of earthdamar via "death", they return to their 2D shirted form. These events overlap for "plot reasons" allowing Yuamu's earthdamar to use the Velgearians as the structure of the DME. Problem: Why are they traveling through hyperspace is all she wanted to do was bring the Velgearians back? I got no clue. Also, kinda fucked up that even if an Ohdo earthdamar decides to give them their freedom that it would be short lived. They can only be murder puppets and that's it?

Yuamu being kidnapped -> completely unrelated event. Each of these societies are built on the corpses of the ones who came before. The ones that are useful are revived, but the others are just repurposed for structure. Basically the VSC and the DME are both made from the bodies of what came before. Yuamu just found and used them. Her destination is (TBD). Problem: Why would you do this? This would make Yuamu look so bad. Also, this explains nothing about the earthdamar. Why did they melt to goop when they got there if the events are unrelated?

Yuamu -> controlled by the thing that took her. That thing being "entropy". Kinda like Darkness from GX, where they take a concept and personify it. But they take the physics meaning of the word "disorder" and conflate it with the connotative definition. The destination -> center of the universe. The Velgearians are simply puppets for the "skeleton" of the universe, being below 3D beings, and thus are molded into whatever form they are needed for at the time. The Velgearians always existed, it's just that the story of Go Rush!!™ is just the time they were given a third dimension, and Yudias, being given the "soul" of the Milky Way Galaxy will finally stop their eternal suffer by beating entropy's ass in a fucking duel. Problem: what?

So yea, TLDR: I need to get my ass outta the kitchen. Since I'm 0-6 rn with theories, watch these all be wrong and it's just cause Yuga. Just Yuga. He's here, somewhere, probably idk. I actually kinda hope they're all wrong, cause they all make Yuamu look kinda bad. She ain't do nothing wrong.

Your stomach hurts.

The sweatpants hang loose on you, the fabric of your shirt tight against your tummy. Scalp tugging against the hair ties against your midline- the lipgloss slathered on your pouty lips sparkles underneath the dim theatre. Because goddamn it, if your stomach is going to hurt you’re going to look good, too.

Your friends, a close girlfriend and her annoying, annoying boyfriend gather around the screen to print the tickets. And as you do, you wander, surveying the snacks and busy bodies that gather to get their goods and go to their selected box.

And-

Oh. Oh, he’s cute.

Whoever you tagged along with melts into a fine mist, eyes sharply cutting to the boy who stands by the register. His pants are baggy, dark- there’s a chain with keys clicked and dangling on the thick fabric. A one size too big company shirt poorly tucked in the cargo, the black belt snug between the loops emphasizes his waist.

Despite the dinner you just had, hunger finds you.

And his face. Preciously sharp with a touch of fat around the apples of his cheeks, tan in color. Buzzed hair, died a soft color. Eyes wide and-

Your lips quirk- how endearing. A puppy dog about to read your ticket and tell you which numbered room to go to. There’s a glint on your face, eyes rolling up and down the poor boy’s figure as you take a step closer with your friends.

Plucking the ticket from her (because your best friend’s name doesn’t matter right now, despite the three years of friendship), you saunter towards the booth.

The boyfriend urges your attention to ask you a question. But his eyes catch you, tracing each atom of your curvature as you turn your head and answer with an annoyed look. Can’t he see that you’re busy?

As you turn back around, the boy is sitting on the register table. And you blink, languidly walking forward. One foot in front of the other, the reconciliation that he might be bad at his job is frowning. But he’s just so pretty you can’t find yourself turned off just yet. He makes eye contact with you, and hops off the booth.

Just a few inches taller. You smile.

“Hi.” You thank whatever force of nature that made your voice so dreamy, so soft and syrupy.

He leans towards you as you hold out the ticket, manicured nails expectantly waiting to hear what he sounds like. Openly, you gaze at his face. There are three pimple patches on his cheeks, yet hardly a blemish in sight. A naive twinkle in his eye, as though he might be too good for this world. Too good for you. Something feral claws in your gut, but your face is serene, perfectly content with this little mouse in the palm in your hand.

A breath of surprise fills your lungs when his fingers, so long and thick and pretty, reach towards the small piece of paper to turn it his way.

“Sorry, can I see-?”

You tilt the paper, a soft, darling laugh leaving you. The boyfriend, your girlfriend, watch with a knowing, amused expression- you can feel it in the back of your skull.

“Mhm, sorry.” You murmur.

“It’s okay,” There’s a nervous laugh that leaves him, too, and you’ve never wanted to wrap your hands around a boy’s throat faster because he’s still holding onto the paper, still looking at it as though reading number was a jigsaw puzzle. An egotistical, unrealistic part of yourself believes that he’s looking at the rings that sit upon your freshly polished fingertips.

“That’ll be theatre twelve, on the left side..”

You look at his name tag- Yuji.

How fucking cute.

The stars above have the two of your tilting your heads to stare at each other for a second longer than a casual glance. And a serpentine smile flits your face. He sweetly, nervously grins back as you say the sweetest thank you! You even wave, like the silly, cute thing you are- yin and yang with the devilish desire to rip him apart with your teeth, to watch him twitch under your grasp. Poor boy- it's a good thing he's on the clock, paid to be nice.

Looking back, you motion your friends to keep up with you as you go to grab the M&Ms you’ve been craving since back at the Asian restaurant. They trail behind, and you walk with a sway, knowing he’s watching you instead of guiding the next round of movie goers.

It’s your turn to buy, you offered. The boyfriend paid for your dinner (as he does every time because he makes a little too much money not to spoil his girlfriend’s best friend), so it’s only right to pay an outrageous thirty dollars for your candy and their drinks.

You’re waiting for said best friend to fill up your soon to be shared soda, and catch sight of Yuji again. He’s wandering away from his post, passing right by your seeing eyes. Heedlessly, you watch as the manager questions him.

“Where are you going?”

Yuji must do this often, based on the expression his supervisor wears.

“To the bathroom?”

The manager, with curly hair and a baritone voice, scoffs, watching Yuji walk off with gaunt, unsurprised eyes. Your friends gather your attention, the bandwidth of a carrot, and you smile with your candy in hand- your ticket in hand.

It takes a moment before you’re actually following them, gaze on the boy walking to the bathroom and digging around in his pocket. What could he possibly be doing- whoops.

The two of you make eye contact again; this time you look away, a prickle of embarrassment spreading through your fingers as you nudge the ticket into your purse pocket.

“Come on,” the boyfriend complains, motioning to you with his hands as to say let’s fucking go.

And you shrug, feet falling into place with them as you go to theatre twelve.

“Sorry, he’s cute.”

Omg just watched episode 2 of Distant Lands & I'm screaming.

Now, don't get me wrong, I definitely shipped Bubbleline before, but this episode had me INVESTED!!!!

The glass kingdom is so beautiful. I don't care how impractical it'd be, I wanna live there.

Marceline's old look was so awesome!!!!!! like, don't get me wrong, she always looks good, but I know WLW were being fed this episode, lol. As for me, I want Bubblegum's wardrobe STAT as not only is it a pastel lover's dream come true, but all the clothes look so soft (which I don't know how they manage to convey in 2D but they did).

Domestic Bubbleline has my entire heart forever, bye!!!!

Am I correct in seeing the friendship between glass boy & See Through princess as a parallel to Finn & Bubblegum's early friendship? Like tall, beautiful royal that's bogged down by her duty vs small, younger(?), disabled (which Finn later ends up becoming), blue boy who starts feeling dismissed/not taken seriously by his older(?) friend & wants to help/be a hero despite not having any powers (ok, so Finn has lightning amuinty, but that didn't come till much later)? Plus, there's the whole fire monster trying to kill him only for it to turn out to not be so bad, like when flame princess was introduced, & turning into (what looks to me like) some kind of a butterfly at the end, which we know was one of the things Finn was reincarnated as in a past life.

Those royal helpers (or whatever they're called) suck ass.

This is the major Bubblegum betrayal that I've been hearing about? Omg you have to be kidding. Like, I'm not saying you HAVE to love her as a character, but you really had me scared she was gonna do something absolutely twisted & it turned out to be.....this? Like, don't get me wrong, her reasoning wasn't the best & it was definitely bad of her to keep it from Marcleline, but do we really want characters without flaws & why are some fans seemingly convinced that Bubblegum is the sole AT character (especially out of her & Marcleline) that has any? Like the episode litrually gives us serval scenes from both of their POV's to show us that they each have good & bad qualities, streaths & weaknesses, baggage/insecurities & don't always handle everything the best way (especially in the past) but that they clearly love each other & are now in a much better place. Where they are willing to learn & grow & be vunrable by actually talking things out & apologising if they do something that hurts the other. Also wasn't, overcoming past hurts that are impacting your current, hard earned happiness by realising that you can't always be right/win all the time & that it's not always worth it if it means loosing what really matters to you, a huge part of the theme of the episode?

Mama Marcleline, we finally get more of your backstory & god dose it hurt. RIP queen, you did the best you could (am still scared to find out how you ended up pregnant though coz like, Hunson's a freak LMFAO!). Also, baby Marcy, I wanna hug you so bad 💔😭.

The Jake Tattoo makes me both happy & sad because, on the one hand, it shows how much they love each other, but on the other, he probably got it because Jake is dead in this time period (I'm assuming).

All the other cracks being revealed in others was a lovely touch. Thinking about the cracks as flaws or imperfections (or truma like the "damage" people accuire through being alive) & how society demonises that to the point where people feel like they have to hide them & then lash out at others who can't or refuse to hide theirs. Also, love the princess getting pants, lol. The angry monster secretly having a cracked face the whole time got me ok . Like, no wonder it hated the palace for how they acted towards glass boy. When it first saw him, it was probably so happy to know that someone like it existed & then was so hurt that Glass Boy was trying to change himself to be like everyone else.

Yes, Glass boy, kill those assholes!!!!! I hate hypocrites. It's sadly realistic, though. Sometimes, it really is the people with the most flaws who wanna condemn people the most.

Hudson read the Gargoyles news today. It's been an amazing year for my favorite series. We've gotten NECA figures that are really great, there's been a steady stream of merch between t-shirts, socks, the comic series started up in January, and Dark Ages in August, and next January again we'll be getting another comic series starting up. And now there's gonna be a live-action series reboot, and so far, there's been no mention of Greg Weisman's involvement in that scenario. It is extremely early to know much more, but it's an odd one for me. I have a big love for animation. 3D included, but 2D especially. I love the comics, but I would love to see this series come back as an animated show more than anything. I've also wanted to be involved in making that happen if I ever have the chance to, but my career goals aren't the point here. Do I think it's possible for Gargoyles to work as a live action series? I can't exclude the possibility. Maybe - but I am far more inclined to believe that what this series is so far feels most at home as an animated show. Art style changes and things, I can deal with, so long as the core identity of the characters show through. The level of production for live action to make that work seems quite high to me - not to inflate my perception of the show, mind you, but more because making these characters visibly transition to live action in a way that I think works with how they feel in the rest of the series would take a STRONG effort. The DRAMATIC and at times absolutely baby-ish, yet highly motivated, intelligent, and empathetic Goliath, the honest, eager, people-motivated and sensitive Broadway, the snarky, lovesick, bright-eyed-to-can't-deal-with-this Brooklyn (seriously, he is having a hard freakin' time), the limitlessly curious, brash, and impetuous Lexington, the avuncular, stoic, yet easily fascinated Hudson, the GOODEST of BOYS, BRONX, and of course our relentless paladin Elisa, who is easily the most even-keeled and formidable character in the show. (She'll get up to some underhanded stuff to make it work though)

It's just difficult for me to picture carrying all of those values into a production without Greg at the helm first and foremost. And making these monster lads and lasses fit on a live action TV set seems so strange to me. So I guess we wait and see.

Also I wouldn't think too hard about the joke in the image. Hudson was basically responsible for peace - or at least what little there was - between humans and gargoyles in the late 900s in his neck of the woods (well, him and prince Malcolm). I just think it's a funny little moment. He'd 100% watch the live action adaptation and be like "why do we look so strange? 🤔"

Start from the beginning

" Of course I'll go on a date with you" she says smiling. I can't tell if she's blushing or not because of all the pink and red lights in the building.  

"Oh, don't worry too much about where to take me. I never really get out much so anywhere will work". 

  "When's your next day off?"

"Tuesday, preferably afternoon".

"Alright, just so you know where we're going is a surprise".

"Smashing". 

I can't help but chuckle a little at her saying that. 

"Oh, I guess since we have a date scheduled should I actually do my job and flirt with you?" She gives me a soft smile. 

"If you want love". 

She clears her throat, "You know you're the cutest client I have. Tell me about yourself sweetie", she starts to trace circles on my chest softly while giving me a lustful smile. I can't help but shiver a bit at her touch.

 She notices and I see a hint of mischief in her eyes, "I hope this surprise date is a hotel room or maybe even your room?" 

My face starts to get hot so I nervously tug on my shirt collar. I can't believe how sexually frustrated she got me with one comment and touch. She has such a grip on me and I don't know why. I've had plenty of girls make more suggestive comments, but with her's I actually get flustered.

And I crave it.

 "Um well..I..you're very good at your job". 

"No, you're just that easy", she says in a cocky attitude. 

"Right, I'll remember this".

"Hmm I doubt it, oh! My shift is almost over" she says as she gets up from my lap. "What happens in this room STAYS in this room, yeah?"

 "Wait uhh would you like me to take you home?" I ask nervously. 

"Yes just let me change first and grab my things" she flashes me a smile before walking out of the room. 

~ 15 minutes later ~

Okay I don't think it should take this long to change. Maybe I should look for her. I exit the room and make my way to the front where I see (y/n) and the manager talking. 

"I just don't know how to tell him. I feel like he's going to..change how he feels about me" I hear (y/n) say. 

"What would change how I feel about you?" I say, walking up behind her and making her jump.

"Hmmm looks like the perfect time to tell him" the manager says smiling before walking off. 

(Y/n) looks down, "Can I tell you when we get to my apartment?" She has a defeated tone to her voice.

"Of course you can" 

The walk there was silent but we did hold hands. Maybe that was my way of showing that she can tell me anything. Once we get to her door she steps in and casually stands at the door way. 

"Okay you stay right there while I tell you" she says as she puts her hand on the door handle. 

"May I ask why?" 

"So I can slam the door in your face depending on your reaction. I'd rather you not see my cry" 

"Alright I guess?" 

"The thing I need to tell you is..I'm trans. I was born a girl but I never felt like I was. So what I mean is I'm a boy. I prefer to be called he/him. But I know you're not gay so if this changes anything I understand".  He looks away from me and fidgets with his hands. He looks like he's about to cry regardless of my reaction. 

"It may take me a bit to get your pronouns right. Hell I forget how to tie my shoes most of the time but I will try" I say as I take a step into his apartment.
