It is that time of year again, 420 sales are the best time to pick up cheap vapes, grinders, glass and whatever else I can find. I spend the month of April looking for sales and updating my page as I find new ones and old ones drop off (some people do sales closer to the actual day, and some open the flood gates early until supplies last)

Ngl Mic's reaction is giving me Nana vibes. The whole grief of their situations being brought up and wanting so desperately for it to end already, to choose the easy way out just so it stops hurting

Nana going from crying because Izuku wanted to save Tomura and feeling grateful to then shouting at Izuku to kill him already. Mic going from "if you aren't Shirakumo fade away but if you are come back to us" to then grabbing Kurogiri by his clothes ready to punch him and yelling about how he shouldn't have given him the benefit of the doubt

I think it's also shown in the way Mic lists things that dehumanise Kurogiri too. "He's not crying, it's just the rain" "he has no tear ducts, he's a noumu" It's so clear he wants this to be over already

Same thing happened with Nana and Tomura. The vestiges too. They kept saying how he is destruction incarnate, how it's too late for him, how he's a "thing" "not human", just like Tomura said himself

Mic and Nana just let themselves think that way because it's the easy way out. They put a lid on their feelings, and in the final war arc it's like the lids got ripped off and it's all coming out now

That's why I think Aizawa and Izuku sort of parallel here. They wonder about their supposed enemies. "Why didn't he get rid of us? Why didn't he kill us when he could have?" Aizawa asks, physically reaching out to Kurogiri. "I have to ask why he can't let go of that sad lonely past of his!" Izuku says, also attempting to reach out to Tomura in his own way

"That's where their origins lie" Aizawa says as he thinks back to those school days. And Izuku was in Tomura's mind, literally at the center of his "origin"

Even though it's painful for Nana, Tomura and Mic, Aizawa and Izuku press on anyway because they can't help but wonder whether things can change. If things don't have to be this way

You talked about how Jake and Tobias thought the treehouse from A-town was a genuinely good idea, and that makes me wonder if you think there’s any other good ideas from it the Animorphs thought they could have done? Also, how would A-Town have been different in the canon ending where Tom and Rachel both died?

[For those of you just tuning in: A-Town is the shitty postwar sitcom inspired by the life of Jake Berenson, to the eternal annoyance of Jake Berenson.]

Pt 1. Since A-Town is inspired by AniTV, I think it'd be less a matter of the Animorphs going "huh, the fauximorphs sometimes have good ideas", more a matter of them going "thank GOD the real Yeerk Empire never thought to do that thing The Gathering just did." Because the show's lack of effects budget means their yeerks are forced to be a lot subtler than the ones we see in canon.

So like AniTV, A-Town would probably have a bunch of B-plots with The Gathering offering perks that are actually hard to resist (e.g. disaster relief, much-needed health care). It'd have a bunch of extras from Brandon's town pop up in the yeerk pool, to save money but also to ramp up paranoia. It'd imply that controllers are harder to kill than ordinary humans. It'd use the plots with yeerks in cell phones, yeerk tech inside computers, yeerks tapping phones and security cameras. None of this is meant to be super-creepy — the phone-tapping plot is used to engineer a romantic misunderstanding between J.J. and Trina, while the lacrosse coach being a controller sets up a bunch of gags with Brandon almost getting caught morphing in the locker room — but from the Animorphs' point of view, it's super creepy to watch.

Pt. 2. Honestly I don't know that the show would get made at all if the inspiration for Daisy A. is dead. Even for these writers, that might be taking things too far. Like, in canon there would almost certainly be some kind of TV show about the war, but it wouldn't be A-Town.

So Eugene has feelings after all . . . I knew it. He didn't want to admit that Samuel was a traitor even when he knew. He really just wanted to believe he was a friend. Samuel is the only person other than Mandeok and Yuseong to get along with him. And now, in the end, it's Yuseong that has to save him because Eugene really only has his brother.

"That was my romance." Eugene really is the opposite of what we thought. He feels "love" and "romance" just like everyone else. And he has a callous side just like everyone else. Workers may be taking over Seoul physically but Big Deal is taking over people's hearts.

I think Eugene is really lonely. I wonder if he's had friends betray him before . . .

I just had a dream where Tumblr had an update and added a new category of posts & labeled it "tumblr but its shit" and all the posts in there were like peoples worst takes and dumbest opinions on blast and everyone started freaking out like "oh my god did you get the Shit update??"
