I know it will be expensive to put the car back to a number 1 car, but I’m going to try. It came with power brakes, power steering and power top. I recorded the vin and headed home.Īfter a couple days thinking about the purchase, I decided to send off for the PHS documents where I found out the Firebird was a true 400 HO car with the factory 4 speed Muncie transmission. I am happy to announce that I will be working on my old rusty 1968 Pontiac Firebird car restoration. Needs new convertible top, the one on it looks and works fine but it old. Engine has 104,000 miles, runs good and strong. Has original 350 engine and 2 speed transmission with edelbrock intake and four barrel carb. Interior and suspension redone three years ago. I was a little nervous with purchasing the car right away and wanted to think about it a little. This 68 Firebird has new silver over black paint with buffing. I knew there had been a little sheet metal work done to the floor and the front end had been disassembled because the bumper and fenders seemed a little loose and some bolts missing. A son finds and restores his dads dream car - a 1968 Firebird he owned when he first moved to the U.S. For 1968, the same basic 400 remained, now rated at 330hp at 4,800 RPM and 430-lbs.ft. No smoke. I don’t think a test drive is possible but did not ask. 68 Firebird Charlotte: With Danielle Trotta. A heavy-duty cooling system, battery and starter accompanied the W66. The engine ran but real sounded like it had a big cam. Idle was rough. What works best with your 1968 Pontiac Firebird Get FREE 2-day shipping. I was able to determine the cars engine had been swapped out with a big body 400 engine and instead of the 16 heads it had 48’s. The owner was unable to provide much help to the history and origin of the car. I was trying to determine it this was truly a 400 car even though it seemed to have all the badges. In the listing it showed a picture of the car and I saw it was a convertible with the 400 hood.Īfter driving down to look at the car, I spent a couple of hours inspecting the car and talking to the owner.

Pontiac Firebird Sprint
The Firebird is one of the most popular, well-known Pontiac nameplates ever. From 1967 to 2002 it was the muscle car edge of the company. However, there is one Firebird the automotive public forgot about, lost in the corridors of time all these years. That is the 1967 to 1969 Pontiac Firebird Sprint. Pontiac presented the Firebird in 1967 as the answer to the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro. Since it was the height of the muscle car era, the public paid attention to the high-powered V8 models. However, Pontiac managed to sneak an interesting model into its lineup. The secret of the Firebird Sprint was the engine. It was a 250 CID straight-six with a single overhead camshaft. It produced 215 HP in the 1967-68 model years and 230 HP in 1969.
Pontiac Firebird Sprint
Compared to the 350 and 400 CID V8, this was not impressive. But the Sprint six had serious torque, low weight, and revved happily to 6,000 rpm. Compared to nose-heavy V8-powered models, the Sprint was light, which provided balanced handling and great driving dynamics. In the days of V8 monsters, a six-cylinder Firebird had an almost European feel. Unfortunately, not many people understood this model. Despite the modest price and unique characteristics, they only sold a few thousand in the three-year production run. Today, the Firebird Sprint is a rare sight in the six-cylinder muscle car category.

T-02-68-A: “March of the Flames”
Back in action with a new fan abnormality! This one’s inspired by a DND stream I watched recently, since I really liked one of the PCs and decided I should make an Abnormality based off the theming of their backstory!
I could link the series to you guys if you want (it’s VERY underrated), but for now we’ve got some work to do!
“Everything else in their path will burn away.”
{Aberration of the Funeral of the Dead Butterflies.}
The Abnormality takes the form of a rotten tree in a swamp-like environment within a darkened Containment Unit. A dull green glow emanates from the tree.
Basic Information
Risk Classification: HE
Work Damage: Red
Max. E Boxes: 16
Good Mood Range: 12-16
Neutral Mood Range: 7-11
Bad Mood Range: 0-6
Max. Qliphoth Counter: 1
Managerial Guidelines
1. When the Work Result was Bad, the Qliphoth Counter lowered.
2. When March of the Flames breached containment, multiple entities spawned within the facility and began making their way towards one another.
3. These entities were unaffected by all forms of attack. Anything in their path began to suffer constant Red damage, and were engulfed by flames that allowed the damage to linger even after leaving the room.
4. Once all the entities reached each other safely, the HP and SP of all wounded employees was instantly healed.
Work Preferences
Instinct Insight Attachment Repression
I Low Low High Very Low
II Low Low High Very Low
III Low Low High Very Low
IV Low Low High Very Low
V Low Low High Very Low
Escape Information
When March of the Flames breaches, three HE-entities known as Flame Marchers- taking the form of a large swarm of fireflies- will appear in a random department each. These entities have 500 health, but are immune to all types of damage.
Flame Marchers make each room they enter illuminated green due to their light. Anything in the same room as a Flame Marchers will begin to suffer 2-4 Red damage each second from the flames they emit.
If something touches the Flame Marchers itself, they will be applied with the Burn status, dealing an additional 1-2 Red damage per second until one of five events takes place:
1-2 in-game minutes pass
They have their HP recovered by any means
They are applied with a RED Shield Bullet
Two out of three Flame Marchers reunite
They successfully complete a work with The Firebird
When two Flame Marchers reach each other, they remain inside whichever room they reunited within, which is engulfed in a brighter version of their usual light. All burn victims are cured of their ailments.
When all three reunite, the facility is engulfed in their light before all Agents are healed. Harmless fireflies remain in the room they disappeared in for the rest of the day.

Story
The Abnormality takes the form of a large swarm of constantly-glowing fireflies.
This Abnormality posses the ability to burn and set ablaze anything that they so choose. Drastic changes have been applied to the Containment Unit to satisfy them, thus avoiding the possibility of them attacking employees in this manner.
However, whilst the Abnormality can certainly hurt, on rare occasions they have also been observed healing employees, as long as they keep their distance and allow them to complete their journey without disturbance.
Should you ever see a green glow in the halls coming closer to you, retreat to the centre of the department and warn your colleagues that the fireflies are coming.
Should this warning ever be made to you, be sure hide everything flammable and be as still as possible while the fireflies pass. So long as they make their journey without being disturbed, everything will be fine.
—
Fireflies have always been depicted as miniature, ever-glowing stars, constantly lighting up the night with their bioluminescence. However, anyone with even a mild interest in entomology can tell you that this is not always the case.
In fact, they only use these abilities on specific occasions. It’s widely believed that their powers evolved to help ward off predators, however in modern times they’re used moreso to attract mates.
And these fireflies, through all the time they’ve spent dreaming of reuniting with one another, have become so riddled with fear and faith that not only does this function serve both purposes, but it cannot be deactivated.
All that you need to start a fire is oxygen, heat and fuel: this Abnormality has proven this principle to us, as their heat is so intense that anything flammable bursts into flames at their mere presence.
After all they have been through since the swarm was separated, they must keep burning. They cannot afford to let anything get in their way anymore: and yet, no matter how many times they reunite, there’s always far too little of them by the time they return to their Containment Unit. Such is the illogical, endless pain of an Abnormality.
Fireflies from a time long gone will light up the facility as they march, and after the chaos, return peace to it once they reunite and dance.
They have done this once before, and must know that they will again. Yet still, they yearn to see one another once more, and everything else in their path will burn away.
Tonight, the fireflies dance, reunited and alight.
Quotes
‘March of the Flames yearns to dance again. However, they stay still: they’re saving the opportunity for someone very special.’
‘(employee’s name) is sure to mind March of the Flames as they work, lest they burst into dancing lights too.’
‘The Abnormalities have been known to set paper ablaze with their mere presence. It’s a miracle March of the Flames’s tree is still intact.’
‘Everything is still until something gets between March of the Flames and their beloveds.’
‘(employee’s name) feels the intense heat of the Containment Unit.’
‘There is some beauty to be found in March of the Flame’s dance, but with any luck, they shall remain still for the time being.’
‘If something happens to intensify their suffering, the fireflies’ minds and bodies will begin to wander.’
‘The flames shall march once more.’
Extra Details
All entities recognise Flame Marchers as threats by default, despite their immunity to all damage types.
However, The Firebird and Void Dream would not become hostile upon being damaged by them.
Passive non-employees- including Rabbit Team members and passive Abnormalities (such as The Queen of Hatred, Little Red Riding Hooded Mercenary, and Army in Pink)- will also heal upon their suppression’s end.
Suppressing March of the Flames does not count towards any mission that requires you to suppress an Abnormality.
March of the Flames’ healing effect still works during Netzach’s Core Suppression.
Should an employee wearing any part of Alight (Suit, Weapon, or Gift) work on F̸̲̀-̶͖̈0̶͕̑1̴̭͗-̷̭̉2̵͕̊4̴̭̅, their Work Success Chance decreased by 33%, like how they interact with the Fairy Festival’s EGO gear.
However, if both Abnormalities were breaching at the same time, F̸̲̀-̶͖̈0̶͕̑1̴̭͗-̷̭̉2̵͕̊4̴̭̅ still recovered health upon March of the Flames’ suppression being completed, as long as they were breaching passively.
Hmm, more mentions of this mysterious F-01-24 person! I wonder who they could be…
Anyways, that’s it for tonight. Like I said, I’m more than willing to link the series of DND streams that inspired this (though be warned that the specific character doesn’t show up until about Session 3- that’s not too much of a problem though because it is a very fun campaign)

Along with all the newspapers came a bunch of old National Riflemen magazines, Life magazine and Look magazines. These vintage car ads from LOOK kicks ass. The Firebird HO description is to funny. I had a 68' Firebird for a short time, damn that was a fun car.
Those of us born in the 70's had it good in so many ways. One of them was when we were hitting driving age, the Boomers were selling off those 60's and 70's cars for family cars like station wagons. Firebirds, Camaros, 50's Chevys, Darts, Gran Torino's, Mustangs were for sale all over the place. Man we had the best cars.

what kind of tattoos do they have? what are their dream cars? what were their childhoods like? what were their favorite novels? would u say that jack is doomed by the narrative?
what kind of tattoos do they have?
gale has a black flag tat on her left shoulder n a bunch of random stick n pokes on her left forearm in the early 80s. after abt '87 she stopped maintaining them n in late '88, early '89 got a desert sleeve on her right and left forearms, something similar to this. the right arm was day and the left was night. she also has a venom welcome to hell tat she got a few years (87 iirc?) after jack passed away on her right shoulder blade and the artery tattoo i mentioned yesterday (anatomical heart pierced by 5 swords in a pentagram shape w an A carved into it) on her left also in 87
ronnie got flowers on her right thigh in 83/84 and the artery tat at the same time as gale! they went together n had a good cry abt it
jack & max never got any but jack did joke about getting a venom welcome to hell tattoo
what are their dream cars?
they were all kind of basic LOL gale just wanted a baby blue mustang, but she was more into bikes (lovedddd modding her harley esp in the late 80s n into the modern day).
ronnie bought the bands van ('81 ford ecoline), wanted a '68 pink mustang convertible, pink corvette convertible, (probably a 74 or 72) n a bmw. i think she got the z1 even though it was never released in the us (rich bitch moment.)
jack wanted a pontiac firebird so fucking bad it was embarrassing, ideally it would be black probably a 77?
max was not into really into cars but she liked how firebirds looked the best so i guess that would have been hers.
what were their childhoods like?
ronnie and gale's were pretty happy! they got along w their parents n were pretty well off. jack n max were not as fortuante tho<\3 everyone but jack grew up in socal
ronnie grew up rich. like mega rich. her "modest childhood home" it was a huge house w a waitstaff ("it was only jim (butler), tom (valet) n cathy (cook) n the cleaning ladies on tuesdays!" thats still a waitstaff fuck off ronnie) n in southern california. like girl🙄. but anyway yeah. rich girl kind of spoiled (definitely spoiled) youngest of 2, had an older brother who lived in the uk in the late 70s early 80s for school or something. maybe it had to do w the family business which idk what it was LMFAO. he would send ronnie metal albums cuz they were both into nwobhm. mother was a socialite, loved to throw lavish parties. ronnies dad adored her, shes a total daddy's girl. she started playing drums when she was 14 when she found her dad's kit (he was a big beatles fan n loved ringo) in the garage attic. ronnie went to public school but wasnt really the best student tho she tried really hard. she had like 3-7 dogs growing up cuz her parents loved dogs and giving strays a good home for however long they stayed.
gales dad was a single parent, worked as a college professor teaching literature. his specialty was american lit, esp black american lit. he collected classical music and jazz records and read books constantly. he often had his professor friends n students over for dinner, to discuss books or political happenings etc etc. he really encouraged gale to pay attention to politics and read everything and listen to everything and ask questions about everything. she took piano lessons from like 6-16, started playing bass around 13/14. she was a huge bookworm as a kid which her dad like. very much encouraged n fostered. gale went to public school.
max was the 4th child of 6. her dad was an alcoholic n her mom worked as a waitress. she doesnt talk abt her childhood. when she met ronnie she basically moved in w her n ronnies parents adored her cuz she had that california beach blonde, girl next door look coupled w a total kicked puppy sad eyes n they just loved taking in strays. she started playing guitar around 14/15 after being lent a black sabbath tape by an older sibling. not sure which one
jack was born in chula vista n her parents divorced when she was 4. she lived w her mother in the bay area but never stayed in one place for very long. her mom bought her a guitar when she was nine as a birthday present n jack taught herself from listening to songs on the radio. she was often described as a "troubled child" struggling with aggression, focusing in school, reading, and writing. began seriously playing guitar after hearing motorheads debut. was kicked out of her moms home after dropping out of school, moved in with friends. played in a bunch of various punk n heavy metal bands, eventually relocating to LA with the band she was in at the time, before joining artery in the summer of 81.
what were their favorite novels?
gale read too many to have a like. real favorite she would just start listing the ones she thought were good or that u would like. she really loved kurt vonneguts and bell hooks work. maybe sister outsider by audre lorde? i know why the caged bird sings? dhalgren? dune? catcher in the rye? i think dhalgren honestly but idk
ronnie's is definitely lord of the rings. like without question its lotr. fucking nerd. she'll say its vogue magazine tho
max...lolita, ariel or maldoror
jack was like. between being functionally illiterate and having (MAYBE?????????) severe dyslexia. she has a lot of trouble reading (recognizes albums by the cover, bands by the vocalist/guitarist) n struggles with writing (near/illegible handwriting, misspelling, difficulty with grammar/syntax) so. she doesnt have a favorite novel. shed call u a nerd for asking that
would u say that jack is doomed by the narrative?
definitely. there is no possible outcome of artery's story where she could have lived. she n max r both doomed by the narrative but jack was the only one who really actually literally died. max … since she didnt like. physical die its not truely being doomed by the narrative but like. she, as both the frontman of artery and as the person she was in artery around tht community… she died. completely. n hasnt been seen since 1986. so maybe she did actually die! ull never know

There are a couple things that are going on here and all over Earth and mostly Charlotte county they're realizing that they had put this guy in charge and he is a terrible monster they're watching his antics as the joker and they're watching them and they're watching his people and how the interactive rude and what they're saying is rude and how they behave with everyone is very rude. And he's a crude piece of crap. A big homo and a passive aggressive psychopath the good afternoon pretty heavy today we're going to take him down as many times as it takes to keep him out of here a lot of people are saying it and getting ready to do it. He's been found out to be a very penis person and a hater of most people he is not to be trusted here at all not for a fraction of a second we need our son intact we need this idiot out and we need him out now and we need it he is a pig we don't want any more orders going out to these very desperate people of his who have nuclear weapons most of the time
---there is a high alert out on him as being one of the world's number one terrorists and they are fluid out now and dead or alive he has to be captured and it's going global from every spy agency on Earth and they'll be creaming his people to get to him. We are also pursuing him and many other aspects. We are going to sue him for all the ideas that he took and all the companies that our son and daughter helped make and all of the things that his brother had and clans for all of it and their mansions and everything else that they have and other surviving relatives will have some if they want and we don't think that they can hold on to it but we will allow them some will have to run security and they said no that's fine we can get things to them that they had but retract those too but we intend to do that mostly we will get things out of the Indians position idiots possession not indians. We are also announcing there are several things people have figured out
++it's after the firebird the car and he starts a war with Timmy Doyle over the firebird our son helps build and another person has the 69 firebird and he starts a war with them and it's quite significant because he is attempting to take what he thinks is a ship from the Phoenix Arizona area and it is symbolic and it motivates his people if they have the two Firebirds okay there are four and Tom fierro he has a convertible and it was a different year yeah 68 said she was around when he was born and no but she is older sort of and had to grow up pretty quick are there other things going on but these things are important and for you insane people you should go after the Saturn and it is an important vehicle it's on an American chassis that was built after the Chevy chassis and it is a fairly decent vehicle but it won't be here anytime soon but everybody AI boy mental illness
And soon they will pay for what they've been saying to us that's for sure right now they're starting to pay and they will begin paying full price there's a lot going on and we're going to try and get it out there but this is very huge this particular set of vehicles symbolizes Saturn and the way to get there and that's both and it's real potent and people want those vehicles in so we have them watch out that proper will be up to you they'll be after you and Trump wants to put them on his ship and she's the one holding the 69 firebird and see that's the other which is good it's very good
Thor Freya
Olympus we've been thinking about what you're saying and this little vehicle from China it's electric and they probably sell it for nothing

Help Needed
What I am going to state goes against everyone’s common knowledge. I'm seeking help concerning my memory of a 67 GTO I had for three days about 1980. A guy I met several times at my local auto parts store owned a 67 GTO. We became friends a while later because we both had GTOs. He had been working on upgrading his car with new suspension work, a reprogrammed rebuilt Turbo 400, a WS-6 steering box, and 3.70 gears. The 428 had a .30 bore, Speedpro pistons, a Nunzio Romano optimized Ram Air camshaft, valve porting, an Edelbrock 4-bbl intake, a Cloyes double-roller chain set, and a reworked oiling system.
One night, he smacked a curb badly and collapsed the right front suspension members back into the frame. He called asking if I would buy his car. He quickly needed $700 to secure another vehicle to continue attending vocational school to become a certified mechanic. I paid $800 because the engine cost nearly twice as much. He flatbedded the car to my house and dropped it before my parents. Understand that there were two 70 GTOs, a 71 Chevelle SS, and a 68 Firebird 400 out front already on a seldom-trafficked street.
I took the next three days off to dismantle the car. During the strip of the car, I found it had a “removable hardtop.” Frank mentioned I would find a surprise; it did not seem weird because my brother’s Corvette had a removable top. I had ridden in the car several times before and never knew. Two latches at the top of the windshield mounting and two heavy-duty integral hooks at the rear window deck lid. I had my father and sister help me remove the hardtop from the car. Flip the latches at the front and pivot it skyward and back toward the rear. The third was in the backseat to control the hardtop when you worked it out of the two receiving wells at the rear decklid. It was heavy so you needed three to protect the paint and the edges where the hardtop flowed into the side panels. The integral hooks were built like the hook of a tie-rod adjusting tool. The well had about a 3\8″ bar from which you had to work the hook. We removed the hardtop, moved it to the backyard, and placed it on carpenter horses. Months later, I placed an ad in the Want Ad Press. Three days later, I sold it to a guy from upstate New York. I remember the guy’s excitement when he traveled 100 miles with a flatbed to purchase the hardtop. I thought I got away like a bandit when he paid 400 dollars.
Sometime in the next decade, I discovered how rare this hardtop was. I thought it was just an option like my brother's Corvette. There exist printed media concerning the 67 GTO that states there were 173 produced with the removable hardtop. It was in a booklet concerning GTOs. It may have been written in literature from Ames Performance or H-O Racing Specialties. I thought it was like the Corvette my brother owned; not readily found but not rare. If I knew the rarity aspect, I would have resurrected it. I would have sent it out to have the frame checked rather than strip it for parts. I bought it for the 428 motor and the reprogrammed TH400.
Two decades later, Vin Diesel's xXx movie features the same hardtop setup. The same twist latches near the ends of the top front windshield mounting surface. The scene where the hardtop is blown off the car once you flipped the latches with the car in motion. That was how we removed the hardtop. It was structurally sound and fit without leaks because I rode in the car before its demise.
I am bedridden in a care facility. If I were mobile, I would be hounding N.J. Motor Vehicles for my friend’s VIN. The car was sweet. I didn’t know how sweet. I would have added it to my stable of cars.
I recently read about the body options for the 67 GTO on the Internet, I realized that the car was most likely a convertible with a factory hardtop. The fit was too perfect to be anything else. I'm writing this because I need your help in keeping my sanity. I know what I experienced is contrary to what others think. Does anyone in the Pontiac GTO community know about this hardtop option? I believe others are knowledgeable; it probably was the Winchester 73 of its time.
I believe the 67 GTO convertible has two receiving wells for the ragtop framework hidden under the boot at the rear valance. The posted image has four red-bordered highlighted areas where the hardtop was attached to the body. At the rear of the hardtop were two integral hooks similar to the highlighted hook in the image of the tie-rod sleeve adjusting tool. The hooks were constructed in the same manner as the tool; the same width and radius. The hardtop required the hooks to slide into the receiving well as you lowered the hardtop. The radius would engage around the aforementioned 3/8-inch bar built into each well.
An e-mail with an attached photo of the rear valance deck of a convertible with the boot removed would help prove or disprove my supposition. Any information or help would be deeply appreciated.
