Also this episode proves to me that Buck (deep down) knew the kind of impact he had on Eddie and Christopher’s life. It also tells me Buck doesn’t fully believe the Diaz parents wouldn’t try to take Chris away if they could. That Chris needs both of his parents to fight for him, and what’s best for him, protecting him.

And Christopher asking Buck to help him find his dad. Bear with me because my mind is all over the place, but I interpreted that line 2 different ways. 

1.) the literal meaning in needing Buck’s help to find Eddie. There was a stark lack of Eddie in Buck’s dream and I’m beginning to think that was purposeful. Y’all, Buck’s coma dream was not meant to be something he wanted to stay in in the end. Everything was off, everything was wrong. Including the fact that Eddie was not there. A reminder that in the dream, each ‘character’ talking to Buck IS Buck, including Christopher. So Chris asking Buck to help him find his dad, is Buck’s own subconscious seeking out Eddie and understanding that he needs to leave, because he doesn’t want to live in a world without Eddie. Without Eddie and Christopher together with him.

And 2.) another subtextual meaning of Chris asking Buck to help him find his dad. I choose to also hear that as Chris wanting to find Buck. I’m not sure if Buck FULLY understands his place as Chris’s other father. This line almost felt like Buck’s subconscious trying to tell him something. That Chris is looking for Buck, wanting Buck, needing Buck as his father just as much as he needs Eddie. And Buck needs to find that understanding in himself. To be more concise: Chris is not just looking for Eddie, but he’s looking for his dad, Buck, too.

i just. maddie buckley, with the child she fought so damn hard for safe in her arms, facing down the death of her brother or the father of that child. which one.

9-1-1 is just so fun because we really just sat there and came up with all these wild detailed theories based on like fucking stage markers on the floor in one of the cast members instagram stories and we were literally,,, right???

I think the thing that is getting me most is that all of Buck's near misses so far he's still been conscious, talking, or we knew it wasn't serious. Even after the ladder truck we only had like maybe 10 seconds of 'oh shit he's really hurt' then he woke up in the hospital after the surgery. But this, we've never seen Buck so still, limp or lifeless. Our Buck is always bouncing, full of energy and just alive! Seeing him not moving, unable to call out for help or help himself really hit hard.

ok but why hasn’t anyone been talking about where tf buddie was when bobby, hen and chim responded to the tonsil stones call. like why weren’t they in the house too, eddie is the other medic of the team why wasn’t he there?? what were they doing?? why was bobby there??

not to be too dramatic but i miss buck and eddie's friendship so much. buddie aside (even tho i'm still delusional about them being canon at the end of 6b) i don't remember when was the last time we've seen these two interact witch each other. i need the writers to stop sabotaging one of the best relationships in that show :(
