Can't stop thinking how after Buck asked A*by be on Chim's 1s welcome back party he never really asked his girlfriends into 118 parties again. Yes, Taylor was on the breakfast after treasure hunt and then on the Christmas, but first one more likely was just because they all talked about how this guy tricked them and it would be strange not to ask her to come when it was Christmas. But we really never normally saw her around 118, yet she knew how they all are close. And Ali and Natalia NEVER was around 118. they weren't asked by Buck to get close to 118.
But now with Tommy? He asks him to come to the wedding almost immediately and he doesn't even need to be somehow bridge between Tommy and 118. Tommy connected to them all without Buck, to all except Karen and Maddie. He even kind of knows Athena. Buck already immerses his new partner into his family, because he knows his family likes Tommy and I also think it's because he knows this connection between 118 will not scare Tommy. Tommy knows how they are, he saw it, he even wanted to be part of it and Buck give Tommy that opportunity to already have 118 as his family even so early in their relationship
Buck(when they're talking about the Madney wedding):...I already have my wedding mostly planned out.
Hen: Really?
Buck: Mm-hmm.
Chimney: Do tell.
Buck: the location will be this really nice church near my apartment building - like, I'm not really religious, but it's gorgeous in there. I have a Pinterest board with the tuxes I've narrowed it down to for the ceremony, as well as a suit for the reception. Maddie's walking me down the aisle, my parents aren't invited, and Bobby officiates.
Hen: Aww...
Buck: There's just really one thing I have to decide on, and I'm all set.
Chimney: And pray tell, what one decision are you left with?
(Buck glances over to where Eddie and Tommy are chatting down in the truck bay)
Buck: The groom....
Buck and Chim immediately believing Eddie when Eddie says that Charlie's mom is hurting him will never fail to make me tear up. All they do is ask how and as soon as Eddie tells them they believe him.
They're a team. They all trust each other. They believe each other.
Gimme episode where 118 talks about their scars and chronic pain please. Just let us remember they like us and always would feel not best after everything. Gimme Buck limping after bad shifts and gives himself leg massage, gimme Eddie putting painkiller gel on his shoulders, hip and wrist, gimme Bobby barely walking after super bad shift, gimme Chim with headaches, show me Hen having back pains in the place where she was shot as a teen. Show me they survive because of ibuprofen please
Tommy(opens his door to see Chimney):...Chim!
Chimney: I'm here purely on business, Tommy, as a representative of Firehouse 118, as well as Maddie Buckley.
Tommy: What?
Chimney: Word is, that you've started dating one Evan Buckley.
Tommy: I have - am - yes.
Chimney: OK, then. [Chimney lifts up a large, FULL binder and presents it to Tommy]...Here's everything you need to know. Allergies, likes, dislikes, unhealthy hang-ups, what to do when he gets in his "Sad Puppy" Mood, how to handle him in his "Excited Zoomies" Mood, how to handle him when he's pissed off, facts about his family - and yes, those two do tend to coincide -
Tommy: Chimney -
Chimney: - As well as written and signed statements from nearly everyone in his life - including one from Jee-Yun, whose statement I typed out, but she signed in crayon - that they will hunt you down and kill you if you hurt him in any way.
Tommy(takes the binder): OK...?
Chimney(stares at him for another moment, then smiles): - Happy for you, dude! {claps Tommy on the shoulder, then turns and leaves]
To whoever wrote the dialogue in the helicopter scene: I hope your pillow is cold on both sides tonight. I hope your coffee order is right. I hope you never hit a red traffic light.
