"Ah! Finally, some time to relax!" You squealed as your feet hit the sand as you ran towards the cool, blue water. Without warning, you jumped in, the cold water surrounding you. Neuvillette, on the other hand, just watched you with a light smile as he stood a distance away.

After a couple of moments, you poked your head out, looking over at him and waving. Raising a gloved hand, Neuvillette waved right back, chuckling to himself.

"Aren't you coming in?" You called back to him before pouting when he shook his head.

"No, I'm alright, but you do look like you're having lots of fun." Neuvillette replied as he walked closer to the water, only his boots getting wet due to the waves rolling in on the shore.

"Aw, come on! You've been working so hard all weak! Don't you need to swim? Cuz you're a dragon and all." You said, making him shake his head a little.

"I'm not a lizard that dries out, sweet (y/n), I'm a human just like you." You crossed your arms at his words, your cheeks turning a faint shade of pink.

"Yeah, well it doesn't rain when I get super sad." You argued back to which he looked at you confused.

"No, if I recall correctly, it does rain when you get upset."

"It rains because you get upset that I'm upset." Well, Neuvillette couldn't deny that. Honestly, if you were upset or you cried, that transferred to Neuvillette and before you knew it, it would be raining.

"I can't deny that." He said honestly, his icy blue eyes shifting away in slight embarrassment.

Deciding it was too boring without him in the water, you began to splash him. He threw his hand up, stopping the water before it hit him, making you whine.

"Neuvillette! You're no fun! Come on!"

"I'm sorry, my robes are a bit expensive and I don't want them to get wet-" He flinched when you splashed him again, but this time the water hit his face.

He couldn't find himself being upset because... you were laughing. So, he decided to play along. He walked a bit further into the water and swiped his hand against it, making it splash you. And so began the very short splash war.

Unforunately, Neuvillette wasn't paying attention and... with one swift move of his hand, a large tidal wave formed beside you and crashed right over you. You squealed, holding your breath in time as you spun around under the water.

Neuvillette, on the other hand, audibly gasped. That wave was a lot bigger than he meant to make it! However, his panicked heart was instantly set at ease when he saw you stick your head out and begin laughing.

"My apologies, that was a little big."

"That was so cool! Do it again!" You exclaimed in excitement, jumping up and down. Much to your dismay, Neuvillette shook his head as he began walking back out of the water.

"No, I don't think so."

“i know you’re like upset over the coffee but i literally offered to get you another one and you said no.” hamzah teased as he looks up from his phone to the girl in front of him. you were looking down at your phone, your lower lip being bit as you try to stop herself from smiling.

you shut your phone off after looking at the story you posted one last time. you grin at him, taking a piece from the croissant he got you.

“it’s fine hamzah i swear,” your words muffled by the croissant.

this is usually how they spent their days in la. either one of them would oversleep and the other would go out to buy them coffee and breakfast but today, both of them surprisingly woke up late, about to leave to do the routine but caught each other.

the past days, it was you who overslept but hamzah didn’t mind, not wanting to disturb your sleep and at times he’d just admire your sleeping figure as you tossed and turned on the bed while he got ready to leave. though, every time he got out to get you coffee, the barista would always make a mistake with your order which you never told him until today.

the past few days also made you realize that your crush on hamzah was growing deeper and deeper. you didn’t know whether or not what you’ve been hearing about him liking you were true so you didn’t bother mentioning what you were feeling towards him but he was starting to notice that at times, you tend to be awkward and hesitant especially when he gets too close or your bodies touch the slightest bit.

he takes also piece from your croissant, larger than the one you took earlier which made your eyebrows knit and jaw slack open.

“hamzah, what the hell!” you said louder than usual, the other customers glancing to where the pair of you were sat.

a smile was on his face as he chewed. when he finished, he took a huge sip from the drink you haven’t touched since you took one sip from it, earning a confused look from you. he looked up at you with an innocent look, head tilted slightly. “what? said you didn’t like this right?”

you roll your eyes playfully, crossing your arms. “yeah, but i’d you know—still drink it!” you stuttered, shrugging a bit.

“sure y/n…” hamzah said before he took a sip from your drink again. “we’ve been here for almost 20 minutes, the ice is almost completely melted, would you actually still drink this?”

as you were about to answer, he continued speaking again. “and the fact they got your order completely wrong too, don’t lie to me now.” he smirked at you teasingly.

you narrowed your eyes at him as if you were testing him, trying to see if you’d win but seconds later, you let out a groan. “ugh fine, okay. yes i won’t drink it.” you roll your eyes, trying to hide the smile on your face.

“now, can you please let me get you another drink?” he asked with a smile.

“okay, but get me a matcha latte instead of the coffee.”

“yes ma’am!” he tells you, smile not leaving his face as he saluted to you like a little kid before going to the counter to order.

Ok so I have a couple of questions to ask

1. Do you have like a ‘warmup routine’ for writing? I know that you mentioned it a little before but is there any way you could expand on that?

2. Do you have a favourite comment on one of your fics or LOF?

1. i do!! i have a set up to it so i go into a writing sesh prepared af. i look through my outlines and my notebook and go over everything in there to prepare myself for what i plan to write that day. i often leave notes to myself like "don't forget xyz" or "this would be funny!" i reread what i wrote in the last session to refresh myself and i go through to edit it, making sure the set up is still good so i can continue. then i go ahead and figure out what my word count goal is for the day (usually 2000). sometimes to get myself into the writing mood before i work on LoF, I do "warm ups" with writing other fics in my drafts/one shots/random prompts and see what that gets me

2. not a specific fav comment, but i do REALLY love the essay comments and the note takers. people always apologize for long comments but i love them SO much!! it's so fun to see what particularly strikes chords with y'all, what makes you laugh/cry/etc. it also helps me to gauge whether a chapter turned out alright or if there are parts that ended up confusing. and theory comments are also super fun. some of y'all get SOOOO close and others come up with some really interesting stuff! sometimes i get hate comments or people in my asks that aren't very nice, and i go back and read the nice comments to remind myself that there are people who LoF resonates with, and that's always worth it :) comments make my day and keeps me motivated sometimes when i feel down

3. i've been working on incorporating comic book style shading into my art lately. i realized i particularly enjoy it and it makes my line art have more depth. i've been really into trying ro emulate my fav artists and expand from "characters on a background" to art pieces that make people think of a story

I'm not very good at writing Xiao, but for me he'd be a bit awkward at first.

Xiao takes care of those he loves and always makes that clear, but he's not the type to excessively cover you with physical touch or to be the one to bring up topics, he prefers to hear you talk and that's how your relationship works. You’re the one who always initiates the conversations and intimacies since you started dating, part of it because he doesn't know how to properly show his love to you, so you undertand.

At first, you hadn't even realized you were pregnant, or even considered it. Your period was late, but you left it aside because it was already a little irregular before. When you finally bought a pregnancy test, you did it when he wasn't home.

You explain the situation and wrap your arms around his back, pulling him tighter to you. You take one of your hands to the back of his neck and strokes it gently. In the coming months he’s able to follow your pregnancy without any more secrets.

The way you seem to glow now, your mood swings and need to sleep more than usual, and the strange hyper sensitivity in your breasts when he touched them (not necessarily on purpose or in an intimate way, but accidentally when you were sleeping or very close to each other) and how full they were getting were some of the things he had noticed.

Xiao is never bothered by these changes, he only gets bothered when he notices you feeling the slightest pain, and does everything he can to ease it so you can sleep peacefully.

You feel a little insecure, but he loves your body the same way he did before you got pregnant. Thinking that a new life is growing inside you makes him love touching your belly and feeling the baby's movements. He's become fascinated.

When your baby is born, his need to care for and protect both you and the child increases. At first, he only cared about you, no matter how selfish he was. However, as time passed and he had more contact with the child, he began to feel a strange connection.

Dazai quietly walks over to your body. His tall height stands over your figure as all of a sudden he starts massaging his fingers in a fast movement making you jolt up laughing.

"RAHHHHH- DAZ--HAHAAphdhegtd-" you tried choking out as dazai ferociously kept tickling you here and there while you ran around the apartment.

Just a couple, and their lighthearted times where they forget everything but their love for each other!!

Finally after hours of childish antics you fianly begged him to stop which he onyl stood up with a face of triumph.

Later that night your dried tears of pure laughter glistened on your face which was buried in his warm chest protecting you from any sort of dangers. He only smiled at you as he rubbed your back with a relaxed smile like that of a parent when they see their child's happy face after reading them a story

"You're so annoying..." you pouted out with a flustered face, clearly shy to admit you have a sensitive body as you digged your face deeper into his chest.

"Am I? My bad belladonna! You just so cute all adorable and flustered like that"

The bandaged man replied with a more genuine tone not a teasing one.

Anything to hear your feathery laughs once again...
