Mystery of the sexy paintings au

In which 17yo Gareth St Claire, good for nothing, except painting riske pictures that get him into trouble in the uni, comes up with a plan to con the ton into buying his amateur paintings for an exorbitant price, so he can get the cash he needs to pay for tuition. Enter, his friends/models. Who were nice enough to model for him for free.

The problem is, that the Bridgertons may have made mysterious French painter Gautier-Gautier / 17yo Gareth, rich overnight, but also, now they’re trying to discover his identity. How was Gareth supposed to know his friends attracted so many lunatics.

Sophie, he can understand, Benedict was the initial target of this whole fake art show business. Con the delusional rich guy into buying the painting of odalisque Lady in Silver (wearing a mask and a transparent sheet). But what he didn’t expect was that Benedict would fall inlove at first sight and make a shrine for the painting in his room. Benedict also makes his sister’s lady’s maid clean the shrine, who happens to be Sophie. The very same Sophie who got so fed up with Benedict’s Lady in Silver delulu after a masquerade a year ago, that she was willing to pose semi naked for Gareth and was 100% unapologetic about conning the Benedict out of millions in cash. Now she’s cleaning a shrine to the painting of her own semi naked body and this close to killing Benedict.

  Kate, well Gareth doesn’t even know why Kate agreed to let him paint her naked back and buttocks in all their sultry and exquisite glory. All he knows is that she felt sorry for him and that some guy she disliked said she was uptight and priggish and hadn’t done one wild thing in her life, so Kate told Gareth to paint her buttocks on top of a mushroom and get as much cash as he could manage from auctioning off her likeness. Gareth thinks Kate may hate him, because a furious Anthony Bridgerton saw the painting and immediately had people looking for Gautier-Gautier. Gareth knows Anthony can’t prove the naked back-buttocks model in the painting is Kate, but boy is the man trying his best to make Kate confess to her evil misdeeds. He also knows from Sophie that Anthony keeps Kate’s painting in a secret place only he can enter and that he spends way way too much time there. On the bright side, Anthony paid a lot of money for the faceless mushroom fairy, so Gareth has to thank Kate for her honorable, if spiteful gift of charity.

Penelope volunteered to help Gareth because she thought his paintings of Sophie and Kate were beautiful and she was even fine with her face being visible because in her reasoning, nobody would recognize HER wearing negligee anyway, she was a wallflower, if people saw the resemblance, well, redheads were a dime a dozen in popular paintings, nobody would think it was her. Gareth thought so too, and he was happy to help Penelope get in touch with her desirable femininity by painting her as the goddess of love. He was proud of the redhead seductress he painted. That is until another furious Bridgerton walked away from the art show with the painting AND the woman he clearly recognized in tow. Gareth doesn’t know much about Colin Bridgerton, but he looked about to shoot somebody the moment he saw Penelope, and the painting of the goddess of love that everyone was admiring. Penelope at least tried to explain, but Colin was fit to be tied. Gareth really hopes his friend is okay and not locked away somewhere being ravished by Colin Bridgerton. the man did pay an exorbitant amount of money for the painting, but Gareth is okay with accusing Colin of kidnapping Penelope if he doesn’t hear from her in a few days.   

Phillip, okay yes Gareth did it on purpose, he painted the man as a dark sexy demon wearing a loincloth, but to be fair Gareth asked for help, Phillip said no, because #thinkOfMyChildren, so Gareth had to resort to blackmail. And while, yes it is wrong for Gareth to use Phillip’s sad depressive diary against him, it was also wrong of Phillip to say no to posing semi-nude for Gareth’s moneymaking schemes. What better way to celebrate being in London for a hot widowed father than to do Gareth a favor.  In the end the bidding war among the thirsty debutantes made loin cloth fire demon the hit of the night, I mean Eloise Bridgerton probably bankrupted a few years of her allowance with how much she put on the pot to take the painting. Now Phillip is complaining that Eloise is sniffing around too much when he’s shirtless in the gardens trying to teach his kids about plants. Honestly for Gareth that sounds like the opposite of a problem, but Phillip has this thing called modesty that Gareth can’t quite get.

Look at cousin Simon and his boxing buddy Michael, they were both good sports about being part of the art show. Sure Simon almost fainted with Daphne Bridgerton began arguing with her brother about the whole ‘if you can take the mushroom fairy, I can take the semi naked warrior, so give me the money’ ordeal, because you know, Anthony was Simon’s university pal and could recognize those warrior biceps anywhere. But in the end, he couldn’t deny Daphne her wish without explaining that she was thirsting over semi naked Simon, and giving up the mushroom fairy painting that other gentlemen were eying with envy was a non negotiable. Daphne walked away with her painting and so did dowager duchess Francesca Stirling, who took one look at Archangel Michael’s painting, paid a king’s ransom for it and walked out without so much as looking around, you gotta admire a woman on a mission really.  

Lucy’s painting was probably the less risque of the lot, because while she was only a year older than him, she still wanted to participate in the gautier-gautier moneymaking scheme and help Gareth, so Gareth painted her as a beautiful mermaid, in honor of their childhood friendship. She was dressed…sort of. I mean look at Greg Bridgerton, he bought it for her didn’t he? He thinks the art looks pretty. He thinks the art looks like Lucy. And with the way Greg talks about the mermaid, Gareth wonders how the man can be so dense. But that’s Lucy’s problem to worry about.

Enter his current problem. Debutate and diamond extraordinaire, way too perceptive to be sixteen, Hyacinth Bridgerton, who apparently knows all about Gareth’s secret identity as Gautier-Gautier and is threatening to let her siblings know, unless Gareth gives her a self portrait… for free.

This is just weird. Who would pay $15.888m for "The Garden of Eden" in St. Cloud, FL? It has an unfinished house made of cinderblock on 10 acres of land, so maybe the price is for the land. Look at this mess, though.

Take a closer look at the entrance to the property. The homemade gate is painted gold and two signs say "God is owner!" It has some architectural salvage balusters, and clear boxes w/fake roses on top of the pillars, for starters.

The vast wall has a work of classical art on each section.

This is where it gets confusing. The address of the property is 2075 Rambler Ave. but 3077 Rambler Ave and 3079 Rambler are also included in this package. 3079 has multiple buildings.

I don't know what they're building here, but there's a water feature in the middle of this area. Someone hypothesized that it was a gator farm by the strength of the red cage.

Another house. Wonder what the interior is like. The tenants would probably want to stay, if there are, in fact, people living here.

Overtime you might notice small details showing his exterior cracking and revealing the soft, white underbelly of affection. Tarot Review: Traditional Manga Tarot ✨🪄

Hey everyone! Bbloom here! Today I’m going to give you guys a review on the traditional manga tarot deck!

First things first, the imagery on the deck is absolutely stunning and beautiful, I was overjoyed when it came cuz well this is my first tarot deck heheh ☺️☺️😂 but when I got the chance to pull it out and see what they had in stall for me, I was floored.

The illustrations are very pretty and have a nice feel in the hands, plus it’s manga/anime and I love anime so that’s a plus! So to rate the art I’ll give it a 7.5/10.

I asked the deck yesterday what kind of personality it had and it told me that it is a no nonsense deck and is honest, it doesn’t like sugarcoating it’s words and lives and abides by a strict code of conduct, so if you do readings that have delusional intent your deck will call you out because they don’t like deceit and delulu behavior.

It says it delivers its answers swiftly and accurately. So if you’re looking for a deck that will help you channel messages quickly and accurately, this is the deck for you. I can vouch that yes, it’s a accurate deck and it’s just not saying stuff because I’ve used it and indeed it delivers messages quickly and most importantly accurately.

I’ll rate it a 9.5/10 because accuracy and swiftness is super efficient and demanded.

This deck let me know that it prefers working on readings that deal with the subconscious, readings that aid in breaking bad habits and bring dark behaviors to light or deceitful stuff. This deck likes working on spiritual and emotional readings, readings that aid in building your intuition and enlightening your spiritual journey. It has likes reading pertaining to your career and abundance in life, also relationships and advice to better your life and the lives of others. Again the deck accentuates the fact that it loves delivering messages quickly and doesn’t like beating around the bush.

I’ll give it a 10/10 cuz the sense of self is a priority and we like that here. ☺️😔👊🏼

In dollars this deck was $4.99, so very affordable. I bought it from AliExpress so that might’ve been the cause for getting it at such a cheap price so yay! It was totally worth it.

It’s a very great deck and super duper accurate. Like accuracy hit the mark. Speaking of Mark, I did a reading on Nct’s Mark Lee’s single “Child” and let’s say it prophesied the outcome of it and I was super shook and impressed. Anyways stream the song and enjoy it! I’ll rate the deck a 9.5/10.

F/O # 1:

January 19, 2021 was when I finished his route in the game he's in for the first time! I've taken a BIG interest in him way back in 2017 but was too broke and didn't have the motivation to farm game currency at the time, so I eventually gave up.

Fast forward to being in the middle of lockdown I one day remembered him and the game he's in and I was so determined even after the price of unlocking the mode his route is in got higher

Selfshipping with him had its own ups and downs, on the first year I was questioning and looking for labels that describe my identity, was learning how to handle the jealousy of having to see so much oc/self-insert x canon with him even after blocking accounts and filtering tags. I even see one who selfships with him a lot have an actual wedding + commission artists left and right so I moved to a different f/o for a while before coming back to him. (What took me back: the first post I see of him one day is a drawing of him phonecalling mc/the player saying 'I love you' to them and bc I get some 'signs' or 'pretty specific stuff that almost feel like it's him making me see those' every now and then, it just fed into my delulu-ness)

Then around late 2022-2023 I started commissioning art and writing of him ✨

(Adding this here, I've also drawn him a lot and was my main source of motivation to draw for a long long while. One day maybe I can finally use a picture of him and stare at it without getting too flustered and end up not drawing anything)

Right now I still do love him even if it isn't as intense. I still think of him as my main f/o and he'd still be the first one I'd propose to if he magically became real. Some stuff happened for a year which made me constantly feel unloved by him but that's on me for not doing much about it either (or lack of energy idk)

He's pretty much my partner still and I still yearn to one day get so much merch of him

But yea anyways!

F/O # 2:

I had a MASSIVE crush on him back in 2015-2016. I even made my first OC because of him. I don't really make much stuff for that OC and don't anymore but last year I got a little interested in him again and plan to read fics of him sometime. I bought the game he is in which was what 2016 me has always wanted and because is was on sale. I now have another F/O from the same source but I still adore this F/O a lot as well. He's still full of secrets.

And another game he is in makes me smile whenever he says something funny. I playfully glare at the screen whenever he messes with the character the player is controlling because of course he would do Thing but of course I didn't expect it anyway.

Currently saving up and looking for artists to commission, have drawn selfship art of him like twice (excluding my really old arts of him and my OC from back then).

My first f/o from when I was like 5 and didn't know what selfshipping was. He pops up in my mind every now and then, especially lately, and I have Ideas for writing and drawing for him. I see prev points but also a lot of the Anon points tbh

I think the main thing as prev also pointed is that BC would eventually be HIS sponsor while Adidas is only linked to Mercedes (for now). Tommy was a particular case because it was linked to both (and Carmen as well), we also still don't know the details of the Tommy deal.

I also think that representing a brand known for craftmanship, good quality and fair work is a very good deal whether one likes the clothes or not. Here I am a bit influenced perhaps because I am Italian and here it is a very well-known and respected brand both for quality but also because Brunello himself is a patron of the arts and has given a lot to the country in terms of work but also in terms of financing the rebuilding of cities (he has literally financed the rebuilding of earthquake-struck cities in centre Italy and donated a lot of money to various projects).

All designers have an astronomical price tag but many of them also have rubbish quality and quiet luxury has not by chance become something because people have realised that 5000 euro bags are plastic and machine-stitched, all massive logos and no substance (yes LV I am looking at you). It is also no coincidence that the emergence of quiet luxury for those who can afford it goes hand in hand with the great resurgence of the fake market for ordinary mortals because plastic is still plastic in the end but a lot of people would die for a monogram.

The issue of the privilege of these people, unfortunately… is there. I understand what the prev is saying but at the end of the day, it's 20 millionaires living in a tax heaven with cars and yachts that cost more than our houses. Whether they dress in HM or Dior we still can't afford their lifestyle. Just as none of us can afford BC no one can afford Lewis' niche designers, Max's Zegna shoes or the wags' Dior/Chanel/Hermes handbags. What we should be able to buy in my opinion is not so much their paddock or gala outfits but rather their merchandise. That's what doesn't make sense, to have exorbitant costs precisely because the target audience is an audience of normal people with a normal salary who make sacrifices to buy a gp ticket or a 50 euro cap.

We would have to open an overly large parenthesis criticising capitalism but I don't think this is the right place. As for this possible deal, which is all in our heads and nothing done as far as we know, I would be quite happy if it happened because it would be a good opportunity for him for other future sponsorships too, a bit like a CV.

And here I'm not saying this as someone who particularly likes everything this brand produces because I assume he was at the gala in their clothes and I was the very first to say I didn't like the fit at all (I am here in delulu manifesting a Burberry deal for George). But the brand seems to have as wide a choice as Tommy did and there is plenty of opportunities for both a more casual and a more polished look. We've seen that George used and uses this brand a lot even without being sponsored and he does it with both his casual cardigans and his tennis tournament pinstripes suits so I think he appreciates it for personal taste and would benefit from a deal…

I would honestly like a deal with Brunello not only because it looks very good on him but also because I would like him to have a personal deal with a brand that he seems to like himself and is not directly involved with Mercedes.

I am quite happy with Merc-Adidas deal because it might give George opportunities to create something as well but it seems A LOT already. I don't like the idea of him being chained so exclusively to the brand of the company he works with. I hope so bad he doesn't have to show up in a tracksuit every single weekend.

Also bagging a deal with THE Brunello would be a huge thing, firstly because he seems to me to comfortably swim in his aesthetic out of personal taste and not because he is forced to (I know he wanted to bury himself having to wear samba shoes instead of his beloved loafers for the red carpet), secondly because the brand is objectively huge and very important, a collaboration with him would also be a ‘redemption’ from the label of unmarketable athlete who only uses Mercedes sponsors.

I personally think you're maybe overestimating the brand power of Brunello Cucinelli. Their name recognition grew somewhat mainly online during the boom of the quiet luxury/old money trend, however, they're still not a widely known and recognised brand. Their company philosophy with regard to paying their workers is to be applauded, but they make very basic clothes with astronomical pricing that only the ridiculously wealthy and privileged can afford as a result of it. I disagree with almost the entirety of your last two paragraphs. I'm not going to get into a point by point disagreement but sorry, I just don't see it that way at all. I'm very happy for you that you love the brand that much though.

 I have a delulu theory on this topic, bear with me.  You know, when Jimin bought some rundown apartment in an old-ass subdivision for what seemed like WAY too much money, but they said he was making an investment in a renovation project being undertaken by a friend of Bang PD’s.... well it crossed my mind at the time that it could have been a covert money transfer to Bang PD’s friend so that he could buy ANOTHER apartment off the books where Jimin could live. Especially if the friend is a developer with many apartment complexes at his disposal. It would be a fancy apartment that would be worth that $3.5 million he paid. But it would be under Bang PD’s friend’s name and therefore untraceable through public records.

At the time, it occurred to me because it just seemed too fishy that Jimin would buy a rundown apartment not even in a high-class neighborhood nor on prime riverfront land for such an outlandish amount of money. I mean JK bought his apt for $1.7 million, but it was in a super shi-shi building, in move-in condition, with many celebrity neighbors, a high floor, magnificent views, every amenity and tight security. This mismatch between the price and the actual value of the  item being bought just reminded me of all those modern art auctions whereby a secret bidder would pay $20 million for a lame canvas painted all blue, and huge amounts of $$ would change hands, PURPORTEDLY for the painting, but in reality they’re laundering a payment for other goods or services rendered off the books. But now they have a legal and aboveboard reason for the money to change hands so it looks all legit and shit.

Especially now in hindsight with Jungkook’s address getting leaked because it’s registered in government records.  Jimin might have been afraid of the same thing, but even moreso because of the death threats he was under.  It occurred to me that Bang PD may have helped him make these arrangements with his friend.  So Jimin’s $3.5 million actually bought an undisclosed apartment probably owned by the same developer, but on the paperwork the developer then switched the address to a different property that he also owns. No one’s the wiser.

If I were a celebrity that’s what I woulda done!!  LOL.

I think they are rarely at the dorms at this point. I think the times they are there are for filming something for work...like that gimbap live or ITS or BV.

I think JK lives at another location and put this apartment that we all knew about on the market. I find it a bit worrisome how Korean media just put it out there where JK bought property. I know they have security, but still, stalkers exist.
