P.S. I came back to post this. I must say right away that I translated it through a translator, since I stopped learning English because of a not very pleasant situation. Therefore, I apologize if there are any problems with the translation.

But there's nothing else to do about it. To live not for oneself, but for the cause. There's a simple reason why he started following the Hunt.

That's the reason. That's why he wants to show her the stars. She would never be able to see them, but he could show them, even in such a primitive way. Yes, it's far from ideal, but it doesn't make sense. He will tell you himself what kind of stars they are, what kind of planets they are and what they are famous for. Everything he remembers will be told, even if the words are turned to nowhere.

He met a man with a similar problem, it seems to him. In fact, their bodies do not "belong" to them. They no longer obey them. So does it even make any sense to continue living? There must be some small knot that you want to hold on to and hope that everything will be all right, even if it's not.

Although very soon. This is one of the brightest stars that will fade in the sky. Someone will light it up again. Let it be like a memory of her, but she will burn as brightly as when she was alive.

— It's Fate. That's all.

— Sweet Fate.

— Honey?

— Eons, forget about it.

Even this moment will end someday. And it happened. It was too fast for her to feel. The doctors said it wouldn't be for at least half a year. Although they have such a medicine. What was she really hoping for? But it's so unpleasant to leave a person who has been uplifting and brightening up another boring day for at least a few days. It's so strange to realize that you're leaving your dead body to this person.

He doesn't owe her anything and shouldn't be doing this at all. But at least he can do something. Defined. The girl didn't deserve to die like that, so he was the only one who was at her funeral. Arranged by the standards of the planet in luxury.

Hello! Thank you for the question; I would love to! I’m glad my posts can brighten your day. Wishing you the best!

I have a couple of OCs, including (but not limited to) my dwarf and Urgal Riders and their dragons.

The first is Livik, my dwarf OC. He, a member of clan Feldûnost, comes from a large family, consisting of his mother (Ahdra), his three older brothers (Asdan, Danik, and Urif) and two little sisters (Dahlia and Alluna) as his immediate family members. He has vibrant red hair, a matching temper, but a good heart. He has brown-green eyes. He is one of the most compassionate of Eragon’s early students, and Eragon found him easy to get along with, though they had their challenges, as Livik was stubborn, driven, and rather afraid of heights. His dragon, Ura, is a vibrant purple, and is a rock to Livik’s more unpredictable thoughts. She is calm and laid back, but a bit lazy at times.

The second is Garzad, from a village not so far from Carvahall. He is the son of a past leader, but did not kill a cave bear and therefore was unable to claim the role as his father had. Instead, he was presented the egg of Navak, a bronze-brown dragon with gold eyes and an enthusiastic (and slightly impulsive) curious personality, who bore horns that began to curl as he got older and a stockier build than most dragons, making him a slow flier but one of the strongest hatchlings. Garzad initially had a bad rivalry with Livik, but the two are now good friends.

Another OC would be Erwin, who was the first of Eragon’s elven students. He comes from a short line of scions and has the ego to show for it. He is very vain, but Eragon tries to keep his arrogance in check, and so does his silver dragon, Celeste. Celeste is a spitfire, but very practical and incredibly intelligent. Erwin’s brother, Eldin, lives in Sílthrim, and they visit one another ever Dagshelgr since Erwin completed his training. Erwin has a starlight blonde hair cut just past the shoulders, brown eyes, and an admittedly fair face. He is tall, but more in the torso than the legs, making him a better archer and fighter than runner.

Other OC’s would include:

-Asuna, a character of a short romantic relationship Eragon had in an AU fanfiction. After she was unfaithful, the relationship ended and she left Arngor. Her behavior led to a conversation with Arya that led Eragon and Arya to rekindle their friendship a bit more, eventually leading to their own romance.

-Kendrick, a soldier Eragon spoke with in the Varden while trapped in the medical tents. They became friends during this time.

-Dura, a female dwarf Rider who, with her dragon Namír, joins Eragon’s students some thirty years after Arngor Academy’s establishment. Others exist and will be elaborated on in the future! Thank you again for asking and take care!

Princes of the Apocalypse game prep 6.18.25

Ok, I'm gonna try to run a module/premade campaign. Maybe should've started with something that wasn't as sandbox but oh well. Here's some prep/notes that I wrote up I guess. We play this weekend so we'll see how it goes.

Starting the Adventure:

Geographically defined by the River Dessarin and the Long Road, settlements along these routes provide supplies and safety to traders and travellers alike as they make their way to larger settlements, such as the fortified city of Yartar to the north, or bustling streets of Waterdeep to the south.

You’ve each found yourself travelling into the region of the Dessarin Valley by caravan. All having heard the rumors of brigands and bandits becoming more common in the area. General unrest and animal attacks are reported to be happening more frequently as well. Perhaps most notably though, the rumor of a missing delegation from Mirabar has swept through the area due to the supposed significance of its attendants.

Aside from your more adventurous companions, the bulk of your traveling party for the past few days have been commoners. Notably two priests - Imdarr Relvaunder and Lymmura Auldarhk - joined you from Waterdeep, on their way to the Allfather Shrine located at Red Larch, in a haste to arrive at the hamlet after their predecessors had left a few days before.

With only a few hours left of sunlight, you approach Red Larch as quickly as two wagons, four Oxen and 10 or so travellers can handle.”

If the party doesn’t have their own reason for visiting Red Larch, they could be hired to provide protection for the Priests/Caravan. (see pg 22 in the module for more info.)

Homebrew NPC

The Caravan is led by an older human man called Baidar. He makes frequent trips from Waterdeep up to Westbridge. Although not a Harper himself, Baidar has acted as an ear-on-the-ground for Harpers in the area. His demeanor is well-meaning and honest; he speaks bluntly without much tact.

Baidar can mention some of the following rumors he’s heard on the road:

Outlaws are said to be lurking along the Cairn Road near Red Larch, but Constable Harburk hasn’t found anything.

There is a rivalry in the town of Red Larch between the Theolorn brothers (Thorsk and Asdan) and another local craftsman named Ilmeth Waelvur. But he’s gotten the impression one-sided on Waelvur’s part and Baidar sees Waelvur as a washed-out businessman.

Traveling to Red Larch:

While you’re welcome to begin the adventure without incident, or use a random encounter table, I have a short event listed below I plan on throwing into the mix. Feel free to adjust dialogue (or don’t use it) if you don’t include a traveling event.

“The Long Road is dotted with homesteads, fields and structures to seek shelter against harsh weather. It’s while passing one such area that you hear a loud cry for help from across a wheatfield. The thick flora makes it difficult to discern what's happening from the roadside.”

Inside this wheatfield is a 2 farmers (commoner) who is under attack by: 

1 Mastiff 

1 Thug 

2 Bandit 

1 Bugbear Chief 

If rescued the farmers will mention that to the east of the Sumber Hills raiders in brown cloaks have been seen sacking Homesteads and dragging off their inhabitants. They will provide 10 silver to the party for the assist, plus a promise to aid them in the future, should the need arise. They work the fields at the Neetlebee Ranch and can mark its location on the PCs maps.

( Although a bit far away from where the canon text places them, these bandits are attempting to kidnap farmers to sell to cultists as slaves beneath Sacred Stone Monastery. )

Arriving at Red Larch:

“As you crest another hill, Red Larch comes into view. The community of Red Larch is a small hamlet, so named after the distinctive red larch trees that once stood in the area. It’s an important stop for travelers along the Long Road, and a supplier of stone and marble for the city of Waterdeep.

Even with the sun so low in the sky you may still be able to sneak in a bit of sight-seeing, or drink away dusk at the local tavern. Regardless, much of the caravan disperses for the evening. Those moving north will meet in the same spot tomorrow morning.

Both Baidar - the caravan master - and the Priests appreciate the extra assurance of your presence along the road. They offer to cover your stay at the local Inn for the night, or recommend a nearby Boardinghouse, should you choose not to take their offer.”

From here Players can explore the town a bit following the guidelines and information from the book as written. It’s worth noting that the NPCs of Red Larch are helpful, rather than showing reluctance to outsiders, they are happy to give gossip and information to adventurers in hope of them providing aid for the dark tidings.

The most likely places I could see them ending up at this point are:

Mother Yalantha’s - An accommodating, but dilapidated boarding house.

The Swinging Sword - The only Inn in town, admittedly a bit frilly by Red Larch standards, it functions as the nicest place to sleep for miles around.

The Helm at Highsun - The town pub/tavern. A good place to get a proper meal and gossip about the surrounding area.

Gaelkur’s - an unofficial tavern, the town barber, and second hand store rolled into one.

Regardless of where they go, PCs will have to sleep somewhere. After awaking the next morning an NPC will recommend they head to the Helm at Highsun for breakfast before they continue their adventure. While following this advice (or going somewhere else) PCs suddenly feel the ground rumble and shake. They must complete a DC10 dexterity or acrobatics check or be knocked prone in the quake.

The Sinkhole:

“You feel the ground tremble beneath your feet, an audible rumble filling the town, followed by a sound of screams. Anyone who is not prone can make out the image of 4 children on a wagon disappearing into the earth. A moment later a woman runs screaming from a nearby home. When she approaches the sinkhole she also falls into the chasm splitting open in the center of town, delving into the darkness below.”

A crowd would quickly encircle around the sinkhole, without action more commoners could fall into the earth. Any character that does not take precautions while approaching the sinkhole must succeed a DC10 Dexterity saving throw or plummet 30 feet down into the hole. If characters do fall into the sinkhole they do not take damage, it’s padded by the amount of soft soil/dirt that toppled into the bottom.

Adding onto the Thought:

When my friend group started getting into Anime, They'd gather round to discuss their favourite characters, and Gush over their Crushes. By then I was already deep into the Slurms Mackenzie Rabbit hole (Wormhole) (I was Slurmpilled)

When they asked me who was my fictional crush- I only had one answer. There could only be one answer. And it was SLURMS FRICKEN MACKZNIE!!!

Most my friends didn't know who he was. They preferred Anime, while I stuck to western Cartoons. But when they found out who Slurms is, they assumed I was Joking. They thought I was the Original Shitposter, and we'd all have fun.

In School, I was apart of Asdan. AKA, A class for students who needed extra help in learning. At the beginning of the year, The class was allowed to decorate ourselves a cup. We'd drink from it for the 3 years we were there, and Take it home with us when we moved to our next school. My best friend designed his cup to have alot of Minecraft pictures printed on it. Mostly creepers. My cup had SLURMS MACKENZIEEE on it!!

Unfortunately, I ended up moving away before the end of our time there. So I couldn't take my cup home to keep, Or say goodbye to my friends.

My first ever , and only crush was on Slurms Mackenzie. Before I met him, I genuinely thought I was Completely Asexual (I didn't know there was a name for it at the time)

While my friends were all crushing on their classmates, I was just sitting at my desk all day thinking about that damned Party Worm. LMAO.

Now this was before we all had Internet/Phones. It was around 2014/2015. So I'd sneak off to the School Library to print off pictures of my Hubby. The Librarian thought it was funny.

a) Jamie Martin (They/he)

Hi! I’m Jamie (they/he), and I’m in my second year of Politics and Social and Public Policy here! This society has honestly saved me in multiple ways and is very close to my heart, and I’d love to be in this role so that I can create an inclusive and truly supportive space for anyone and everyone. I would be suited for this role as I have been in various advocacy and committee roles (see below), and am super passionate about making this society as safe and accessible as possible.

Previous experience:

- I worked within the British Youth Council to devise policy ideas on things like mental health and accessibility to propose to UK Government, and gained an ASDAN Youth Voice Award for my work

- I was a committee member of my hometown’s youth council (Impact), where I created and distributed a lot of information on safeguarding, mental health, and lockdown content, and helped to move operations online when the Covid-19 pandemic hit

- In college, I spent 2 years on my college council, arranging events like the leaver’s ball

- I’ve spent just under a year as News and Politics editor over at QMU’s student magazine (Qmunicate), writing about accessibility and queerness

In this role, I would focus on the usage of online means like the GULGBTQ+ Discord to ensure continued accessibility for the disabled community- as a society, strides were made in accessibility here during the Covid pandemic, and this could be really useful to keep going. I would do mini-meetups online in the disabled channel and advocate for more online stuff on the other channels, as well as keeping the in-person coffees, so those physically/ mentally unable to attend irl can still participate in society events. I would also work with the welfare officer to increase general inclusion and awareness- for example, using message reacts as a way to signal that somebody would like to be DM’ed by a committee member about a certain event due to something like a mental health issue, and something could be arranged them showing up early and hanging out with an identity officer beforehand. I would also like to do more events around disability- for example, an awareness panel similar to the ace one that was done, collaborating with other uni groups (the neurodiversity society, the SRC and student unions’ mental health campaigns, etc). I am also very cool and swaggy /j

Der letzte Tag unserer Hospitation in Dublin war dem Stewarts Hospital gewidmet. Das ist trotz des Namens kein Krankenhaus, sondern war ursprünglich eine psychiatrische Klink - heute bietet Stewarts schwer und moderat behinderten Menschen unterschiedliche Arten von Unterstützung und Diensten.

Zum einen bietet Stewarts Tagesstruktur über ihre “Day Services”. Dies kann ganz unterschiedlich aussehen. So können Menschen mit Behinderungen im “Coachhouse” ihre individuellen Ziele erarbeiten und “life skills” erwerben. Dazu nutzt man hier die “Asdan Qualifications” aus Wales und viele visuelle Mittel der Darstellung.

Im obigen Beispiel hat ein Teilnehmer namens Andrew aufgelistet, welche Ziele er kurz-, mittel- und langfristig verfolgt, wie er sie erreichen kann, welche Stolpersteine auf seinem Weg liegen usw. - ähnlich unserem Vision Coaching. Diese Ziele werden mit den Qualifikationen, die er hier erwirbt, verbunden, und dies alles wird in einem Ordner dokumentiert. So bilden sich die Teilnehmer*innen ihre eigenen Erfolgsgeschichten - eine Art illustrierte Competence Map.  Derzeit läuft ein Frida-Kahlo-Projekt - anhand der Biographie und Persönlichkeit der Künstlerin haben die Teilnehmer*innen erarbeitet, dass man der eigenen  Behinderung trotzen, einen individuellen Weg finden kann und wie man die eigenen Stärken erkennt und nutzt.

Das Coachhouse steht allen offen und fungiert als eine Art Café im Viertel.

 Allerdings sind nicht alle Teilnehmer*innen ständig im Coachhouse präsent, sondern nehmen an vielfältigen Aktivitäten im Viertel teil. Man spielt Tennis, kümmert sich um Pferde, zieht Gemüse im Garten für das Essensangebot im Coachhouse oder backt Kuchen im “Beehive”, der wiederum für wohltätige Zwecke in örtlichen Schulen verkauft wird. Auf diese Weise verbindet man den Erwerb von Kompetenzen und eine gesunde Lebensweise mit dem Alltag der anderen Menschen im Stadtteil und sorgt für soziale Inklusion. Natürlich wird auch der Tagesablauf bildlich dargestellt.

Daneben hat jede*r Teilnehmer*in noch einen persönlichen Ablaufplan.

Neben den “Day Services” hat das das Stewarts noch viele andere Angebote, zum Beispiel verschiedene Wohnformen und tagesstrukturierende Angebote für die verschiedensten Altersstufen. Weitere Schwerpunkte des Stewarts sind Bildung und Integration in den Arbeitsmarkt. Dazu mehr im nächsten Beitrag!
