1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV) -
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Forgive me if I forget
with the birdsong and the day’s
last glow folding into the hands
of the trees [...]
if I forget...I’ve walked for years alone,
if I startle when you put your hand in mine,
if I wonder how long your light
has taken to reach me here.

Jesus the True Vine
4 Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. 5 I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.

Daily Meditations and Affirmations - July 13, 2024
"And hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." - Romans 5:5
There is a vast difference between devotion to a person and devotion to principles or to a cause. Jesus never proclaimed a cause -- He proclaimed personal devotion to Himself. To be a disciple is to be a devoted bondservant motivated by love for the Lord Jesus and the compassionate love of others that you bring into His Kingdom.
"Hope does not disappoint" because when you were born again in Christ the love of Jesus was poured into your heart so you have the hope of having the same love that Jesus has. The love of Jesus must be activated and used and developed -- by not using it (by expressing it in the lives of others) it becomes dormant.
Jesus says we are to abide in Him -- to abide in Him is to abide in His love. See His love flowing into your heart as you go throughout the day. Bask in It! Give His love back to Him and then receive more love from Him. Do this all day long. Now see it flow into the lives of others as you actively pursue helping them with their spiritual life so they may be effective in advancing His Kingdom.
AFFIRMATIONS:
The desire that God has put into my heart -- to be a spiritual mentor -- is like a tree of life. I act on this hope every day for I know that hope deferred makes the heart sick. (Proverbs 13:12)
I have the mind of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 2:5)
I continually ask, seek, and knock concerning the things God has prepared for me as a spiritual mentor because Jesus says I will receive, find, and it will be opened for me. (Matthew 7:7,8)
I curse those things that don’t bear fruit for God in my life. (Mark 11:12)

Abide - Dan Forrest/Jake Adam York
*
“Forgive me if I forget
with the birdsong and the day’s
last glow folding into the hands
of the trees, forgive me the few
syllables of the autumn crickets,
the year’s last firefly winking
like a penny in the shoulder’s weeds,
if I forget the hour, if I forget
the day as the evening star
pours out its whiskey over the gravel
and asphalt I’ve walked
for years alone, if I startle
when you put your hand in mine,
if I wonder how long your light
has taken to reach me here.”

*Video!* WORDS TO LIVE BY: Part Two 97-101 | "All Shall Be Fulfilled", "True Knowledge" & More (w voice over) -> -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRBlks72wE8&list=PLE8FlkxQPQkPHgZ2CISXAJx3vpxyJ9MCr&index=21 <- <-
"Daily Bread"
Understand the Word of My mouth and that which is set before you, even upon each of your plates: I have bore you, even twice have you come forth - First by water and blood in the flesh, and a second time in the Spirit, yea even a third time when you shall come into glory.
And behold, that which is first sown in your hearts is The Living Word. And that which grows from Me bears fruit, according to the food and drink I provide, the written Word. Therefore both are necessary, yet one must be first.
Yet understand this:
One who is awakened can not remain so,
Unless they receive of Me and also
Eat of that which I provide…
Therefore abide in Me,
And partake daily of My supper…
Says The Lord.
