aight so! PMD-inspired Tao Trio thoughts!

mainline Reshiram and Zekrom...their whole deal is that they're trying to create a better world, yeah?

They fight alongside those who embody their respective idioms to change the world's path and create a better future. However, there's one thing both are missing: foresight. They act recklessly, either of them gladly throwing in their lot with Team Plasma purely on the strength of N's convictions. In the past their conflict destroyed the kingdom that they and their partners worked so hard to built. They fight without thinking of the long-term consequences of their fighting.

PMD Kyurem, on the other hand, has foresight in spades--it sees the future. But it lacks its siblings' drive to change things and create a better future, and even though it means the destruction of its world:

Three parts of a whole, all looking to the future--one who fights for ideals without regard for consequences or the true nature of the world, one who fights for truth at the expense of foresight and ideals, and one who has knowledge of the future, but no dreams of a better world or knowledge that not every truth is a bitter one.

It almost makes PMD Kyurem a better counterpart to mainline Reshiram and Zekrom than mainline Kyurem is, frankly.

I think New Adult is a completely unnecessary literary genre and I've been watching people on social media essentially try to "make fetch happen" with this age range for almost a decade now and it hasn't made any more sense as time has gone on. Frankly, if you're writing a character who is is 20+ years old, they should be in Adult. I don't think we need to create any more additional sub-categories for age ranges than what already exists: Children's, Middle Grade, YA, and Adult is perfectly fine. The age range NA represents is just 23-year-old teenagers. It's just YA with sex. Grow up and read adult books

I have 16 or 17 GCSEs but only opted into 4 subjects. the core curriculum is 3 additional subjects. my school seriously padded its exam results by:

- adding 3 additional mandatory-for-all-students short course GCSEs as additional subjects with fewer class slots (BACS/short course ICT, which I think was one class a week, Religious Studies, and one of Critical Thinking/General Knowledge/Applied Maths depending on set, which I'm not sure we did more than 2 classes of Critical Thinking because it was, frankly, a piece of piss, and my brother passed the General Knowledge exam without ever taking a lesson.)

- grabbing any additional exam options for the core subjects when they went by (I took triple sciences, which is normal and they decided that based on set, but I also took an additional Statistics exam as well as Maths, and since English Language and English Literature were also separate exams I got 7 GCSEs in the 3 core subjects)

-doubling up elsewhere by doing overlapping exams through 2 different exam boards (I'd have to check because as a result these are all on different transcripts but I think I have 2 Design & Technology GCSEs)

- whatever the fuck happened with Art (they decided a year into the 2 year course that it was too good of an opportunity to miss for us to also do the double-award Applied Art GCSE, so they coached us through bodging together 2 years worth of Applied Art coursework in one year while also still doing the coursework for the Art GCSE. to achieve this they made the executive decision that everyone had to do Pop Art as their chosen topic for the main Art exam so that they could double-submit the coursework from Applied Art, except my Applied Art coursework was in no way pop art so I did actually do 3 years of work in one year. anyway I have 3 parallel A* GCSEs in various art courses. 3/16 of my GCSEs are the same class.)

AND THEY WONDER WHY I SLEPT THROUGH LOWER SIXTH AND FAILED ALL MY AS-LEVEL EXAMS. RAN ME RAGGED M8

TRUE dan gan ron pa v3 haters hate the game because the ending is actually really REALLY good, gives the rest of the game's weird or bad elements actual watstonian context, and therefore makes the whole game worse because clearly they knew what they were doing the whole time and they did all that annoying bad shit on PURPOSE.

Retrieved all 30 pieces to Olimar's Dolphin in 20 days. No Pikmin lost in battle. No Pikmin left for dead in the night. Sprouted over 1000 Pikmin in that time frame. Difference between 1085 surviving Pikmin and 1096 Pikmin sprouted is that there are 11 left safe in the ground, waiting to emerge. Don't need to be counted as surviving when they've not yet emerged for the first time and are safe where they're at in the meantime. They will sprout strong flowers in their refuge as they await Olimar's return (and likely their Onion's before then, as they don't leave the planet with Olimar) in Pikmin 2: Electric Boogaloo (this applies because they don't introduce electricity as an element until then).

It's not what I imagined as a perfect score. Slight quirk. But, I'll take it considering that no Pikmin were lost. All the times I had to reload to achieve this score...all the specific, even intricate, actually surgically precise ways a Pikmin could die in my thorough efforts to keep all of them alive. I can confidently say I lost a Pikmin in a way I truly believe the developers possibly didn't intend, causing me to reload an entire day as it happened at the very last second...the horrors. Dangerous world out there for our little guys.

Hard earned score this one, lol.

Edit: But, most importantly...Olimar was spared the remorse and grief he'd have experienced upon having to record that he lost some of his devotional friends that were working on his behalf to help him get home alive.

The most gutting line of the Bachelor route must be "I am a human being."

The Bachelor always wanted to be better than human. He wanted to be more, the man who beat death, the man who figured out how to best nature and overcome its laws which all humans are at the mercy of.

Then, when told the truth, that he's a doll, nothing more than the "ugliest, scariest" toy in a children's game, he insists,

I'm curious; I've noticed some people like to play as their Azem(or Hyth!) when using my Emet-Selch Stardew Valley Mod... would there be any interest in a version that's more friendly to that sort of thing? (i.e., doesn't reference them as being other characters.)

It would change quite a bit of the writing and themes, and probably make it a more lighthearted thing about getting past him being abrasive and reserved, sans any sort of tired immortal baggage. Which would be an extensive retooling... but it is something I could think more seriously about doing, if people wanted it.
