i wanted to weigh bad faith readings vs how clumsy the writing in Weapons Factory actually was to make people dislike luminara so much and. wow. she literally falls to her knees and despairs when she thinks barriss is dead.
Obi-Wan slashing open the left side of Vader's mask and Ahsoka cracking open the right side, but only Luke gets to fully remove the mask and see Anakin's whole face........oh I'm absolutely never recovering from this
i mean barriss being a muslim is a headcanon in itself but really i think headcanons, especially about religion, are really influenced by the culture that the person comes from. i don't really know a lot about mirialans in general so i can't say much about my opinions on how barriss practices islam because it does depend from culture to culture. i DO think that barriss probably teaches or talks a lot about it to ahsoka, who probably really loves listening to what barriss has to say. i also think barriss would be the type to mutter under her breath stuff like "astaghfirullah" or "alhamdulillah" whenever appropriate, because tbh most muslims do that anyway. i think barriss and other muslims would take long rests and meditate more often during ramadan, and i think the jedi council would approve of it and let people take time away from battles and missions for all those who practice as well. ahsoka probably tries fasting with barriss one day and fails so bad lmao. i also really like barriss' and anakin's dynamic- something about those two interacting is very special to me- so i think when barriss likes to tag along with ahsoka and anakin on missions, anakin is always very interested in listening and learning from barriss, and tries to be as respectful as possible and giving her space and looking away from her if her modesty is accidentally broken. barriss is just very special to me and i think her interactions with others is what makes her character so interesting.
episode 5 blew my socks off! we got so much from it and so did ahsoka, i can’t wait to see how the story progresses and iffff we get to see anakin again 👀
I'm sorry but the only contest anyone wants to see ahsoka and thrawn face off in is the battle of franchise tie-in authors' biggest babygirl ocs tumblr poll
okay so the way i know that star wars is def not perfect for so many reasons but. ughgughgughgguggbghghghg thinking so much about how much i love the clone wars specifically in how it went batshit with the lore. there’s a fuckign. godzilla that was sleeping under a planet for years. there was an ancient bug queen under the surface and she was hatching weird parasites that could control your brain. there’s a whole ass nebula that are full of space whales. there’s a whole clan of witches who keep to themselves in this red, misty forest. anakin, obi-wan, and ahsoka meet the living personifications of the force/guardians of the force themselves or whatever the entire mortis arc was on about. like. ughughughugh i just love when star wars remembers that at its roots, it’s very much so a fantasy and just has so much fun with it
one day i will commission someone to draw a comparison piece of fran walking up the steps in kirkwall for the first time, younger with bright eyes and determined to make a name for herself, contrasted with fran years later fleeing down the same steps, bleeding and drained of mana as her viscountess crown tumbles from her head
Ahsoka using the world between worlds to explore the different events throughout her life where she regrets taking a certain path…Thinking that she regretted leaving the order and seeing what would’ve happened if she had stayed… FINDING OUT THAT ANAKIN WOULDVE TURNED TO THE DARK SIDE ANYWAY BUT SHE WOULDVE HAD TO FIGHT HIM…AND PROBABLY DIED????
Remember her vision of her future self on Mortis? She was told that she “may never see [her] future if [she] remain[ed] his student.”
If they’re confirming that she would fight Anakin on Mustafar instead of Obiwan if she went back to the order, then she’s probably going to lose that fight. Let’s be real, Anakin at that point had accepted the dark side and had already become Darth Vader. He was always more powerful but I think at this point Ahsoka might have been too hesitant to do what needed to be done like Obiwan did. Obiwan only went because Yoda forced him to. He said he could not kill Anakin, but Obiwan is unique in that his dedication to the Jedi Code is stronger than his attachments. He let Qui-gon, Satine, and eventually Anakin go despite loving all of them. I honestly don’t know if Ahsoka at that point in her life would be able to handle Anakin’s betrayal. When Maul tells her that Anakin is Sidious’ new apprentice, she was in denial. I doubt she’d put all of her effort into the fight. If Anakin was willing to kill Mace Windu, younglings, Obi-wan, and force-choke Padme, then he would’ve been willing to kill Ahsoka too, and I believe he does in this hypothetical we’re gonna see in the show…
