Ficathon gifts round up
First of all, thank you so much to everyone who has aided, abetted and encouraged me in this truly mad undertaking. It has been so wonderful to have the chance to write for so many people, many of whom I've not really met before, and I couldn't have done it without huge amounts of help. I cannot possibly name you all, but know that you are amazing.

@what-does-a-man-do convinced me to make an assassins oc, so here you go! Robert “Robbie” Lowell, attempted assassin of Andrew Johnson!
Okok he’s getting a better backstory because I’m invested now
Backstory stuff:
~Born/raised in Delaware, only child
~Was conscripted 1863, at the age of 26
~In the army, met Albert “Bert” King, his best friend that he also kissed at some point but don’t worry it was an experiment that he only kind of liked nothing else
~During the battle of Jonesborough, he and Bert were both shot. He was shot in the leg, and walked with a limp for the rest of his life. Bert, however, was shot in the throat and died. He would develop PTSD from this incident.
~Majorly depressed and thoroughly crippled, Robbie was sent back home. He was incredibly mentally unwell, but maintained hope that the Union would bring justice to the people who killed Bert.
~Lincoln was killed just after the war ended. Robbie hates Booth with a passion.
~After Reconstruction began, Robbie realized that vengeance wasn’t going to happen. Disgusted, hurt, horrified with Johnson, he concocted a plan to shoot him during an 1867 speech. (making Robbie 30)
~He hit Johnson, ironically, in the leg. Robbie was immediately captured and sent to court. He was found innocent by reason of insanity, as his PTSD and depression were raging during the act and trial.
~Robbie was sent to a mental ward, where he was severely mistreated. He died three years later of malnourishment.
You don’t get a picture cuz I can’t draw.
