Slap me I've been procrastinating but yay no more school,, I'll be writing for different fandoms so uh expect to see different things around the place.. but also, thank you so much for 10+ followers!! I'll be redesigning my blog and other stuff

I also realized I've based most of these situations on ACNH, so sorry about that! ACNH is the only game I've ever played so I don't know much abt the old games

Junichirou and Naomi Tanazaki:

→ THEY DEFINITELY SHARE A SWITCH

-> Naomi is probably the island representative and is the one who got Tanazaki into the game

→ they both play it on their tv so they can play together

→ Tanizaki is probably the one trying to save bells and Naomi spends almost all of hers

→ Naomi may have taken some of Tanizaki's for a Piano that probably costs 30k+ (acnh likes to give antique chairs a price over 20k 😔)

→ NAOMI AND TANIZAKI GO TO THE CLOTHES SHOP AND HAVE FASHION SHOWS TOGETHER

→ Naomi started it

→ they also probably light up fireworks together when it's a special occasion in kimonos and Yukatas (AND YES ACNH HAS THAT)

→ TANIZAKI CHANGES HIS HOME DESIGN EVERY WEEK AND THE DESIGN DEPENDS ON HIS MOOD

→ Naomi would maybe have a minimalist or light academia home

→ nAOMI HITS THE VILLAGERS WITH A NET AND TANIZAKI TRIES TO STOP HER

→ they compete on who can win most of the friendships with the villagers but Naomi would give up and hit them instead

Kyouka Izumi:

→ Atsushi and him play together and they both got their switch thanks to Fukazawa

→ KYOUKA WOULD DEFINITELY CHANGE THE SWITCH TIME JUST SO SHE CAN SEE WHATS NEW AT THE CRANNY AND AT ABLE SISTERS

→ also likes to listen to K.K playing music with Kenji

→ whenever Kyouka feels down and K.K is around, She would Listen to his songs and smile if K.K ever slips a CD of the song into her inventory

→ AAA SHE WOULD TAKE A LOT OF TIME CHOOSING WHAT OUTFIT TO WEAR/BUYY

→ Yosano, Naomi and her would definitely have fashion shows together

→ Also Ranpo and her would make one of her house rooms cafe themed

→ they would play around there and act as if it was a real cafe with most of the ADA

→ Kyouka loves it whenever she sees villagers getting along

→ would also get fauna as a villager because she's so sWEEETT but probably some bunny villagers thoo

→ probably Coco and Genji

→ also has one kimono similar to hers

Yosano Akiko:

→ AAAAAA SHE HAS PINTEREST BOARDS THAT INCLUDES WHAT SHE WANTS HER ISLAND TO BE LIKE

→ probably uses the cliff and river constriction stuff a lot and redesigns her island a lot

→ also hates Tom nook for his insanely high house loan prices

→ she still hasn't payed off her 3rd loan so she doesn't have much house space

→ would give away most of her old clothes/furniture when her storage is full

→ rANPO AND HER HAVE COMPETITIONS

→ WHO HAS THE MOST BELLS, BUGS, FISHES-- THEY COMPETE but for fun

→ also,, half of her storage is CLOTHES

→ and has lots of dresses, paths and designs from that uh place you need Nintendo account subscription and wifi

→ can't blame her when the designs are so pretty

→ I think she wouldn't stick with one aesthetic and change it from time to time so that's why her island looks different a lot

→ probably has one room that looks like her office

Fukazawa Yukichi:

→ cats, cats cats cATS EVERYWHERE

→ makes most of his furniture with the wooden work benches

→ I think he'd hold special events for the ADA, they'd gather together and put up fireworks to watch together. Dazai loves it.

→ he rarely plays tho but since Ranpo and him share the switch, he always comes back to New progress within the game

→ yk that fox guy that could 1 out of 3 scam you with fake paintings and statues? Yeah he always gets his cool paintings and stuff there, he doesn't get mad but rather disappointed that the guy's life is just scamming people lmao

→ also another one who hasn't payed most of his loans, mostly bcs he forgets, he still has a tent but he's fine with it bcs he doesn't need anything

→ Ranpo payed of his loans so he won't be,, roofless

→ I think they'd play together when they have the time, on the TV (yes it's possible)

→ I think most of the switch's storage is full of pictures Fukuzawa took around the island, especially on rainy days.

→ Kunikida and him catch fish while talking abt work 😌

Game Review — Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The first new game I played in 2020 was Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and like many people, this game took up a huge chunk of my playtime this year, and in fact continues to take up a chunk of it each day. With all that said, it’s only natural that this is the game these reviews start on.

So let’s get started.

Overall Score: 9/10

I feel like it would be disingenuous to give a game that I’ve thus far clocked 545+ hours into anything less than a 9/10. (The actual playtime is probably longer due to a two Switches fiasco, but that’s another story for another time.) I’ve been a fan of the Animal Crossing series since the very first one released on Gamecube, and New Horizons met all my expectations and then some. While I know this game is divisive among some members of the fandom (though I don’t know too many details since I tend to stay away from the negative people), I personally feel like this is the best Animal Crossing yet, and I’m eager to see what the fall update is. With that said, let’s go into a bit more detail with some pros and cons. (Note: I recommend reading this in full on my blog, since bullet point lists now look atrocious on the dashboard.)

The Pros:

Obviously, there is so much to do. You’re essentially building the town from the ground up this time, meaning that there’s literally nothing on the island when you first arrive and you have to do everything to create a functioning society. (Even though it was supposed to be a temporary vacation . . . but that part of the plot is forgotten almost immediately.) While that may seem like a monumental task, what it really means is that a.) you have full control over your experience on the island, and b.) you have hours and hours and hours of playtime ahead of you. Particularly since a nasty pandemic in real life has made game development and release slow, New Horizons was perfect in this aspect.

The in-game tutorials don’t really feel like tutorials. Of course this means that you might have a bit of fumbling as you figure out how to use this or that new feature, but you really feel like you’re a newcomer to an island figuring things out rather than being slowly walked through a step-by-step guide on how to play the game. It made the experience feel more natural and immersive, which I really liked.

You are no longer punished if you don’t play the game for a while. This is a big one, mostly in the sense that although you do still have to deal with cockroaches and the like, never again do you have to deal with your favorite villager spontaneously packing up and leaving because you had to take some time off the game to study instead. While all this does lessen the “the game plays even when you aren’t” feeling a bit, I remember losing all will to play New Leaf when Freya up and left, on top of the Beautiful Town Ordinance making it boring since I never had to worry about weeds or anything like that again. The fact that villagers have to have permission to leave now really takes a load off your mind, especially if you took FOREVER to get your favorite (rather than using an Amiibo or villager trade to get them in).

You can place furniture outside! You can move buildings around! You can terraform! I touched on this a bit in the first bullet, but the fact that you can completely control what the island looks like through various tools is honestly the best thing Nintendo could have given us. I still remember how, in New Leaf, Paula plonked her house down RIGHT where I wanted to build a bridge, and so I had to wait for her stupid, ugly face to get out of my town before I could build it. And it took THREE MONTHS to do that. Now if something like that happened, I could just tell the villager to move their house and they’d do it, no sweat. On top of this, being able to place furniture outside makes the island look so much more natural, since it’s normal for people to decorate patios and the like, and being able to terraform means you can really have fun with the design of your island. It’s great, I love it.

We’re getting a steady stream of updates and events. Holidays are update-locked now, meaning that you can’t time travel ahead to experience holiday events and therefore ruin the game for yourself. Instead, Nintendo is surprising us with new content and updates, which I feel makes the game last longer and keeps it exciting. As I mentioned above, I’m excited to see what they have planned for fall. A Halloween event? Maybe a certain coffee shop opening in time for pumpkin spice season?! I don’t know, but I’m excited to find out.

The day-by-day nature of it also makes it a game that I feel like I can always have on the side, rather than one I complete and then never touch again. When I first got it I played it constantly, and then (due to a pandemic-induced game drought) I immediately did play by time traveling day by day, doing things, and then going back to the present to start the process over the next day. But now that there are other games out to play and I have a 5-star island, instead I play it as the first game of the day to do dailies, and then I save and put it aside. I pluck any weeds, water any flowers I’m growing, hit rocks, dig up fossils, talk to my neighbors, check which vendor we have, and then I save and end for the day. It takes me about 30 minutes to do my dailies, but it’s a nice little thing to do in the morning when I’m still in the process of waking up. One weekend morning I sat on my porch, drinking a cinnamon latte, doing my ACNH dailies. It was so peaceful and nice. ACNH is a great daily game, just a quick little thing to do before you move about the rest of your day.

The Cons:

There are definitely quality of life improvements that I feel should be in the game, but aren’t, even after players have been mentioning wanting them online every month since the game’s release. These features include, but are not limited to:

Being able to craft in your house without needing to remove materials from storage.

Being able to buy multiples of an item by putting in the number you want to buy, rather than having to buy them in groups of five.

Golden tools NOT BREAKING, especially since they NEVER USED TO. (Granted, normal tools didn’t break at all in previous games save for the ax, but the Golden Ax never broke. That was the entire point of getting it. What the hell, Nintendo.)

Being able to group like items, such as manila clams, fish, or bugs in your inventory.

Having Isabelle announce which daily vendor is on the island in her morning announcements.

Being able to buy different color variations of the same item at once at the Able Sisters’ shop.

Being able to switch between crafting and customizing without leaving the bench completely and then going back into it. (So like, you craft an item, and then you can immediately customize it if you want.)

Being able to call villagers to find out where they are on the island so you can easily find them if you have to return an item to them, or want to give them something, etc. Why have a NookPhone if you can’t actually use it as a phone?

Letting you lay down paths with terraforming more than one tile at a time. Like let you choose how many tiles you want to lay down in a row at the start, and then immediately place them.

Similarly, make it so you can’t scuff away custom paths, and also let custom paths keep the shoes-on-brick or tile sound if you have brick or tile beneath them. And so on. Little tweaks that aren’t necessary, but would make the game more enjoyable if they were implemented.

Some of the updates are coming too slow. In particular, I’m thinking about how it’s only possible to upgrade Nook’s Cranny once at present. I have put well over 500 hours into the game; by now I should reasonably have a Nookington’s (or whatever Timmy and Tommy will call it), but I don’t. I could understand if it was one shop upgrade per season, but that hasn’t been the case and I don’t know what the hold up is. It’s a bit disappointing.

That’s about all I can think of in terms of cons, at least at present. Most of my gripes are with minor quality of life implements that they could reasonably do, but aren’t doing for some reason. Otherwise, I think it’s a fantastic game that I still get daily enjoyment out of. If you like slice of life games and are looking for something new and warm to pick up, I highly recommend Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

ACNH DIRECT RECAP 2/20/2020

There was an animal crossing: new horizons direct today! Here’s the biggest hits from it! Also, this post is very, very long and very in-depth (i spent well over an hour on it) so there is a cut in the beginning to save your dashboard!

First of all, you can pick your island (and further customise the terrain but I’ll get to that later)

And you can pick the northern or southern hemisphere! You’ll be able to experience all four seasons regardless of your pick!

You start off with two villagers! You then get an orientation from Tom Nook, Timmy, and Tommy!

You can pick where your villagers live!!! You can also see the borders of how much space the tents will take up.

Facilities

The plaza (the leaf on the map) has Resident Services, which is run by the nooks to provide, well, basic services. They sell tools, flowers, and medicine for wasps! There’s also a crafting table to make more stuff! And it’s open 24/7!!!

Crafting works by learning the recipe, and then gathering the crafting supplies to make it! You just make it at the crafting bench in the top right corner.

You can customize furniture really easily in this game! And, Custom Designs Are Back! (more on that later)

The Airport! It’s also open 24/7 and you can travel to other islands and send letter to your residents here! Also it’s run by the cutest dodo bird

You can have 8 people on one island!

Party Play lets you call residents who live on the same island as you for some local co-op!

Creatures found by the people you’re playing with are stored in the recycle box at resident services!

The Nintendo App finally has a gosh damn use! You can scan qr codes from happy home designer and new leaf! As well as talk to the people you’re playing with!

Ya’ll you can decide where your new residents will live before-hand! You can invite some residents to live on your island as well!

Island Customization is expansive! Rip homebrew bc there is no need anymore! We have easy paths, bridges, ramps, river customization, cliff customization, AND you can make your own damn waterfalls! (i’d recommend watching the direct starting at 20:49 to fully grasp this bc it’s a lot)

ACNH: Emidori Island

This is the tumblr that will chronicle my soothingly mundane days spent on Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Shortly after I began working from home due to the pandemic, I decided to get a Switch - mostly for the sake of playing ACNH. I didn’t want to splurge on the full system though, so I got the Switch Lite - I managed to find the very last one available at my local Target - and even in my choice color of yellow! You can see my ACNH passport as my blog banner image, shows my start date and all that.

My Switch friend code is SW-1261-8943-4808, which anyone is welcome to use :)

So I’m Lora. I’ve named my island Emidori - it’s a combination of the Japanese words for “smile” (emi) and “green” (midori). It’s a name I made up years ago when writing a story about a Shinto priestess whose shrine is dedicated to a juniper kami by that name.

So here’s me at the Emidori airport, where you can see the flag I designed. Looks weird maybe, but I think it looks “flag”ish, if you know what I mean - kinda like something you’d see on an old-timey heraldic crest. The inspiration - since Emidori is named for a happy green juniper tree spirit - is a tree with roots showing, its canopy made out of hearts. The blue and yellow bands at the side are just there because I thought the design looked too plain without it.

Here’s the layout of Emidori currently. We’ve come a long way since April! On my island (left-right, top-bottom) are Leopold, my roommate Deanna, Whitney, Biff, Huck, Shari, Broffina, Stu, Tucker, Piper, and Alice. Biff and Shari were my first neighbors. I’ve also had Portia and Audie (edit: and Bea! I knew I was forgetting someone; edit again: AND KNOX, geez, there really have been a lot!), who have moved away. My roommate and I have dibs on our favorite neighbors who, no matter what, are never going to be advised to leave. Her favorite right now is Shari. 

My favorite is Biff - which is unusual for me. I don’t usually like the jock types because I’m not really into fitness and they so often have those angry eyebrows that I don’t find cute. But he’s so fun and enthusiastic and encouraging. And I think in ways he reminds me of my boyfriend, because though my bf is not a jock, he is fitness-minded and likes to be active and tries to encourage me to be too. I’ll often screenshot Biff’s dialogue or letters and show them to my bf later and we’ll have a good giggle over them.

Here’s the outside of my house. I have the main room and two side rooms at the moment. I’m a little behind my friends and family as far as house development because a lot of time and money was going toward redoing the layout of the town - moving every island building into the arrangement that we have now. But I’m happy with the results.

I have a basic personal garden - hyacinth have a nice rainbow-range of colors, and I do like having grass to run around on and put furniture on. My roommate carpets almost every inch of her property in flowers - it’s quite a sight to see! But that will come later.

Pool, picnic table, and pizza oven seem a pretty ideal yard to me. There’s also an exercise bike out of frame to the left. I do that when I play Sims too - I like the idea of using exercise equipment like that outdoors. I put the clothesline in because I think it gives a homey feel.

This is the main room of my house, doubling as a bedroom and living room at the moment. I like to coordinate furniture, but I also like to take advantage of pieces I think are super cool, even if they don’t match everything else. 

That Girl with the Pearl Earring is a fake. I give the real ones to the museum, but I am actually equally happy getting fakes because then I feel more free to put them in my home. And from here, you can’t really tell it’s fake anyway.

I was ABSURDLY EXCITED to find that hamster in the store on one of my first days playing. I didn’t know there’d be pets of any kind besides the critters you can catch. And since I have guinea pigs IRL, the hamster is a great addition to my home :D His name is Mori, after my one boy piggie. (I have four girl piggies).

The pinball machine I got recently, and it’s extra cool to me, because it’s a baseball pinball machine. My bf and I go to these conventions where they have rooms full of pinball machines and arcade cabinets that are free unlimited play with price of ticket, and the baseball pinball is my favorite! And even more appropriate: it was a gift from Biff.

That’s the highest level workbench I have at the moment. My roommate has the bigger design, but this one is fine for me right now with the space that I have. (That phonograph is faced the wrong way around so that I see it from the front every time I enter the house).

I turned my first expansion into a kitchen. I’d already been collecting every cool kitchen gadget I could find. And I always like the idea IRL of a yellow kitchen, so that’s the basic theme I went with. I’m REALLY anxious to get more food items. I have so many fun food items in Pocket Camp, and virtually zero in NH. 

I only just last week got the Cutting Board and Ironwood Dresser recipes. I have had the Ironwood Kitchenette recipe for months now, but hadn’t been able to make it until just recently.

(That’s a vacuum to the left in picture two. And I don’t care that the boombox is blue, because I can’t even see it when I walk in the room anyway.)

The bathroom is the most recent addition to my house. It’s slightly eclectic, but I think the colors all look nice together. Yes, that is wedding flooring and wallpaper, and yes the toilet rug is made of cherry blossom petals. And that gold rose is from my roommate - she’s got a ton of black roses and has recently been trying her gold watering can on them.

👑Princess Party ~

Another post, my friends!!!!

Over the past weekend, I was invited to a cute little “Princess Party” in Animal Crossing New Horizons. 😱🌸 It was my first time going to an island with multiple players, and so of course I was hyped and nervous!

All of these pics (except for the last one) were taken by me on my Nintendo Switch, and decorated with my favorite app “Line Camera”.

So the excitement was obviously meeting new people and seeing the lovely island, worked very hard by twitter user Courtney. Very lovely person, and I was sooooo flattered to be invited to come visit her island! All the players had lovely and extravagant dresses on, and it was so nice being in an all girl group to do things with (unfortunately I don’t have many friends in real life 😭). I was late 😂 and so everyone was waiting for me before the “party” began! I was mortified! I was busy trying to grab gifts and get my dress, and drop off whatever I didn’t need before “flying” over!

So the island is simply one word: gorgeous! My jaw literally dropped! Miss Courtney really worked hard on her island, and it just came out sooo amazing, I’m so jelly but happy for her regardless haha! 💕 Here I am on a girl date with one of the lovely players (I couldn’t remember all their names! 😭), in one of Courtney’s tea tables near the entrance. All of us were just “wowed” by everything we were seeing! It was like really from a princess movie! You know with the big courtyards, flowers everywhere, and elegant furniture set up!

So Courtney led us to the main part of the event, tables filled with party favors to take (only took one lol), and they were wrapped in pink paper. The table cloths were all in pretty girly colors and patterns, and there was a cake, and plates and a jug of cut up slices of fruits! The detail this girl did for the party! I wish I had the time!!! Lol!

We did get to walk around the island led by her, and we were busy snapping pics and commenting, (I was sooo nervous I could not spell for the life of me! I’m 31 and I was spelling like a 4 year old, my goodness they all must’ve thought I was some illeterate human😂). This is by the beach where we tried to take some photos, looks like a whole wedding photo shoot set up!

There was also a stage, and we all pretended to watch Courtney sing, and I believe someone else was playing the drums. I loved the fact that we all synced together to do stuff, it was like we all connected lol. I love the Palm Tree lights it really gives off an island concert vibe haha (duh basically you are in an island 😂).

One of my favorite photos! I don’t remember this player’s name, but she was making me laugh sooo much throughout our princess venture! We both were sitting down at a little picnic area, and I guess she’s waiting for me to pass her the salt hahaha. Love the picnic blanket, I can’t tell if Courtney made it or it’s made that way for the game, but it’s so kawaii!

Another favorite photo of mine! We were playing musical chairs and so terrible about it! I lost immediately, (because you know I’m a noob), and so as the game progressed, the zelda player was mad because someone cheated or something and she lost! I could not stop laughing in real life! They’re all good people though, and I loved thinking how this would’ve played out in real life! 💖😂

Another part of the island that I loved was the “Princess Booth”. I love Sleeping Beauty aka Princess Aurora aka Briar Rose and so the pink dress in the background had me screaming with joy! It’s a straight replica from the movie! Courtney really thought of everything for this party! 👑👑👑

This was around the time before I left the island, as I had eating and studying to do. However, I wanted to take one last photo, and this was one of the last shots I got. My character obviously, (and I say obviously because she’s in every photo posted), is the one wearing one of my designs, the pink and yellow dress with turquoise hair. Look at all those cute booths tho! 😍

This photo was posted by Courtney who was the host of the party (she’s the one in the middle in purple with a rose in her mouth). Honestly, it was a fantastic little party, and I hope to join many more of different types of parties! It’s good to know there are people like myself that love to just game and love having fun! I didn’t know what to expect, but this venture turned out amazing! It was fun meeting new people as well!

**Beware of Nintendo Switch Scam**

    Everybody is cooped up these days--Animal Crossing: New Horizons has got so many of us intrigued--and Nintendo Switch demands are piling up. Admittedly, we all like some good fun and what better way to spend it than testing out the new beautiful god-smacking Animal Crossing everybody has been raging about? From those beautiful lavish interior design shots, to the diva-divine clothing lines, to the peaceful tranquil music lashed across in screenshots and play-throughs. Who DOESN’T want to get their hands on a Nintendo Switch right now? 

     I really wanted my own switch for these reasons. I am a die-hard fan of animal crossing. You bet I was making my ways as a Tom Nook slave since the Gamecube days. Ever since I heard about the new game for the switch I knew I HAD TO HAVE IT. The thing is, the timing was never right. I didn’t have a switch. 

WHY WAS I SO DESPERATE? MAYBE IT WAS REVENGE? 

     When we did get it one Christmas, the game was set to launch MONTHS away. I had planned to call dibs on it during my birthday, or y’know Christmas. But no miracle happened. It was coming out in MARCH. 

     So, after deliberately DYING about the fact that I had no switch for my own and that I had no new Animal Crossing--my mother backstabbed me (perhaps unknowingly) and bought my 10 year old sister the game for her B-day. I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW, the BETRAYAL. This was a MAJOR loss for me being that now that meant she’d own the island. And we all know how we feel about this whole whose-is-what-it Island situation. There’s a whole lot of debates about it. 

I know it’s not the biggest deal, but the disappointment across my face was evident--more so than I would have wished. I gotta say it really upset me. It’s the feeling of hoping for something so dear to you being stripped out and patched into someone else’ grasp after passionately weaving it out in your pursuits. You know that it doesn’t stitch together as well as with the ones’ whose lap its been placed in, and yet it doesn’t necessarily belong to you either. And you’d think that it’d be obvious, and it hurts a lot, but you just have to accept that  sometimes you don’t get what you want even after talking about it like your life was depending on it. Yeah, I’m still salty about is, so what? That’s not even what matters! SHE owns the island. 

I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED, I NEEDED TO STEP MYSELF UP. 

I knew she’d grow tired and ditch ACNH after 1-2 weeks of playing. Still, that wouldn’t mean that i’d get to just re-vamp the island, or take it over, or *cough* *cough* destroy it. 

So I decided I’d get myself a Nintendo Switch and buy ACNH. Something about seeing someone HAVE what I wanted on their own terms just itched me to make it happen for myself, so I declared war. War on my wallet. 

SO WHAT WENT WRONG? 

      Now that I have bought a Nintendo Switch, I realize that along with God, the universe also doesn’t like me. 

Wanna know why? Well, when I first searched for the Nintendo Switch online the results for sights and their pricing was DRASTICALLY different to what I see now when I look it up. The website in which stole me of $99 of my hard-earned busting my ass off money, is NOWHERE to be seen anymore. It’s almost like it didn’t exist. The problem is: it does. You may be next. And you may be scammed. But damn, God, why did it have to be me? 

I know that my blog isn’t about this topic usually--but I just wanted to warn anyone out there who is trying to get a good deal on a Nintendo Switch. Because I just got scammed big time. Yes, now we’re finally getting into the actual exposé of this site after side-baring about how much of a Judas situation this manifesting Animal Crossing New Horizons into my life has been for me!!

     You see, prices on Nintendo Switches are CRAZY HIGH now that times arer hard. People want to overcharge for these things. It’s hard to run across a good deal near the original price of the Nintendo Switch. And when you’re desperate like me and you’ve had the raging hormones of i’ve just been et-tu-brutue’d by your mother you may just not hear the warning signs going off in your head and jump to the best sounding deal. 

But here’s the deal--there is no deal. 

     Yet just like flies, the lollipop caught mein google-eyed eyes and stuck me to its lies. When I saw this A-MAH-ZING $98.75 listing for the console from Solefiness.fun as the 1st website recommended to me from google--I freaked. 

Being offered right next to those sky high prices from websites like Ebay and Tecobuy(whose offers ranged from $350-450) Solefiness.fun was really bringing out the “I CAN DO THIS” in me. 

ALONG WITH BEING DESPERATE, RIDDLED WITH REVENGE, AND SLEEP-DEPRIVED, I WAS ALSO A THIRFTIE CHEAP CHAP

I love cheap thrills. I felt like a rat walking in to the cheese, who couldn’t see the trap. 

   I took no time into emptying my wallet. Which fair enough, I deserved it. If I’m stupid enough to jump right in the shark’s mouth CAN I really be mad that I got eaten? Who buys from a site which such low prices and no reviews and no sense of security? 

   Surprisingly, probably a lot of people(can’t confirm that)--maybe I’m the only one. Let’s say I’m not though. Well, who would be at risk? Other desperates, and of course those who like me, don’t know anything a dime about “finessing”. 

THE SCAM WAS HIDDEN IN PLAIN “SITE”. 

 And it kinda is my fault that I’m not “caught” up on all the latest terms since recently adulting into the world and having no chance to chase up to these new expressions, such as “finesse”. 

     If I knew a lick about what “finesse” meant then maybe I would’ve noped right out of that transaction. Hell, even dodged that site after it was recommended to me. How meta can this scam-site get? Cleverly naming itself “Solefiness.fun” as it slicks us away of our money. Maybe I should have listened to my brother and downloaded TikTok. I would’ve known what finessing was all about. 

AND YET, IT REALLY ISN’T MY FAULT. YOU CAN’T JUST STEAL MY MONEY. 

     But at the same time, NOBODY deserves to be scammed. After serving a bunch of Karens do you THINK I want to just hand my money over to some basement-boy Bobby whose “finessing” his way by breaking the hearts of little Animal Crossing lovers--Switch lovers--Playstation 4 lovers--and whatever else this crude prude “sells” on his/her site? 

     Bitch, you have a storm coming in wreaking my Nintendo dreams. I’m about to switch it up real quick! I don’t want non y’all to get finessed, so I’m about to spread the word about this baloney. 

If you’re wondering: how DID I not see the danger signs? Sure it might’ve been called finesse something something, but weren’t there others clues? OF COURSE.  I wanted to believe in this great deal, was all. It was the desperation--the spontaneous energy--and now the sober regret. I was so proud of cashing out for this purchase. So excited. But not for long. 

THE MOMENT I REALIZED IT WAS A SCAM, THEY’D ALREADY HAD MY MONEY. 

 Because I awoke the minute it charged my account and refused to complete my order. Why did it charge me AND still ask for a payment?  Why was my damn cart still full? Who the hell do you think you are charging my account under some new company name--which is now Chinese-and labeling my purchase under the category of “Construction”? 

Let’s not forget that USPS has not informed me of ANY packages and the tracking tells me you delivered it to me 10 DAYS before I even placed the order? What in the scam-oli?

Long story short, it wasn’t very hard to build a case against this site. Especially since the order # started with “idc” and followed with a bunch of randomized numbers and letters? Nice try finessing phineases and ferb fucker. 

I know order #s are VERY random but it had this randomness that just screamed imagined and randomized by a fucked up human scammer. It won’t bot-y or natural. It was orchestrated the house.

Arcana Island: Day 4

On Day 4, we welcomed Stu to Arcana! We also got to explore the newly opened museum, and my fiancé came to visit my island. He also talked me into getting the Nintendo Online membership, so I was able to add him as my best friend! Today wasn’t too eventful because we spent most of the day geocaching with friends, but I wanted to document what I did do today.

So day 4 started off with me immediately booking it to Blathers after Tom Nook’s announcement so I could donate the rest of my hoard of bugs and fish I’d accumulated over the course of the past day and a half. I was very pleased to see my newest villager, Stu, celebrating alongside us. I did manage to welcome him early in the day, but was so excited about the museum opening, that I forgot to take a picture.

Once I had donated the rest of my collection that was starting to take up a little too much of my storage, I decided to explore the museum.

I am a museum nerd. Near my hometown, there is the science museum of my state. It is my favorite place to visit because it’s so well built and is inside of an old train station. It looks so beautiful, and the exhibits are so fascinating. This museum reminded me of the science museum back home (’: One part was SO beautiful that I took a picture that I absolutely fell in love with (below) -- I had to make it my new sidebar for my blog!

After the initial museum exploration is when I took a bit of a break to geocache, after purchasing the yearly Nintendo online membership. After that, my partner and I decided to spend some time on my island, once he realized I was trying to fix my park (I decided I wanted to spend some more time worldbuilding and make things better... it is definitely the part about ACNH that I am the most worried about).

We found ourselves loving the museum for pictures! We also played some hide and seek in the exhibits, which gave us a few good laughs.

After we were done in the exhibits, he and I decided to go outside and have some more fun. We tried to jokingly annoy each other with a large setup of dug holes, hide from each other, and just enjoy each other’s company as we shared ACNH together another day and relaxed in our living room. 

We took some funny pictures of course, and I am so glad I am able to have this experience because of him -- he saved up to buy me a switch lite for Christmas, anxiously awaiting the release of ACNH -- the entire reason he wanted to gift it to me. If my assumptions are correct, Arcana Island should be seeing Carmen arrive tomorrow. 

In the meantime, I’ll just take a nap right here on this hay bed and hope no one sneaks up on me or anything!
