a piece of world build for World of Alure.
there are spells that's method are notated in the papers discovering their use explain that they are designed with failsafes in mind so that if the spell breaks, it can still carry out the intended task.
the failsafe in mind, however, does not help patch the spell's command so that it still works exactly as intended (because that requires far more aether and concentration/skill to cast), but instead allows it to fail in such a way that it still results in the desired effect.
an example is, if you have a spell for starting a fire at a pointed location, and the spell breaks and causes sparks, those sparks are aimed at the target so it still starts a fire like you wanted.
its a spell that's designed so that if it breaks, it still gets what you wanted done anyways. low aether requirement, simple commands, simple shape, simple to cast on a whim.
this method of writing spells is called "tindercasting", named after the example above.

Eventually Conner is going to come back from a multiversal roadtrip and start E but in the meantime we have Kona Lar-El and Supergrrl. All six panels of them.
