There is blind posted in Deuxmoi about things between Zach Braff and Florence Pugh cooling off. I don't think that's true. She's been in London since mid to late March but that was to visit her family who she hadn't seen in over a year. She's also been working doing Black Widow promo and she's now in Ireland shooting a movie. They are saying Zach us spending time with Amanda Knotts but she is literally the Widow of his close friend who died on covid complications last year. Zach and Florence have been posting and reposting on IG stories supporting each others work the last few months. They are fine!!
Anonymous asked: HAHA sorry i thought you knew…said Flo and Zach are cooling off because he’s been hanging out with Amanda Kloots. She posted pics in his house, was wearing his jacket on insta stories and they are attending a premiere together
Anonymous asked: It just says that Zach is hanging w Amanda kloots and Florence and zachs relationship is cooling down aka Florence call me
yeah bye amanda is literally their good friend lmfao

What's everyone on the Omega's squads favorite books? Why?
Alright let’s do this
Lian’s is her (well worn) copy of “The complete works of Edgar Allen Poe.” She loves his works and
Mar’i’s would be a collection of Grimm’s fairy tales. I think fairy tales were a safe place between both Earth and Tamaran. Plus some part of her loves the fact in a good amount of the un-Disney versions, the princesses do more than just sing.
Jai and Irey love the Martian. They love the science and the writing and they have a lot of fun reading it together.
Colin prefers audio books tbh, but I genuinely think any Percy Jackson book would be his favorite. He loves Percy, totally understands having the weight of the world on your shoulders, and likes that Percy is a flawed hero. (He is and I will not take questions at this time.)
Milagro prefers poetry books. Her top three are “Milk and honey” by Rupi kaur, “The Mermaid Finds Her vocie in this one” by Amanda Lovelace, and “chasers of the light” by Tyler Knott gregson. She also reads everything by Maya Angelou and Mary Oliver.
Jon’s read “Fahrenheit 451” a million times. As the son of reporters, he knows how important stories are. Just...he loves the book, dude.
Damian’s all time favorite book is “Aristotle an Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe.” While the writing could be seen as simple, he loves the development of the characters and the shift from “I distance myself from people because no one understand me” to “I distance from people because I don’t understand them.”

Golden, shampoo, sapphos
Apparently I wasn't aware of how tired I was cause as soon as I laid down with E so he could fall asleep, I fell asleep. Oops. I'm finally getting through my now back log of asks. Which I really appreciate. I love asks. I don't know why. Someone could be like hey the grass grew today and I'd be like fhjslajshdl you thought of sending me an ask!? 🥰
Ok enough tired rambling.
golden - favorite stationary product? How could I ever choose just one??? I love my grid leuchtturm (green right now, that's where I keep my running list of Everlark authors to read), I have a weakness for cute notebooks. What I've really been wanting to get is a Scribbles That Matter notebook. And pens pens pens pilot/inkjoy/staedler/stabilo just give me all the colored pens. Something I haven't gotten around to but depeserately want is zebra midliners. It's gonna be my treat once I start back in school. I could just spend all day looking at stationary stuff. I've been chastised for spending too much time in those sections. Damn Target.
shampoo - favorite scent? Sweet. Anything sweet. I do not like floral other than peony or very faint notes. I like sweet and the smell of the earth. Beach or forest. The smell after it rains. Yeah, I can't ever just answer a question simply.
sapphos - favorite poet? Jessica Katoff. Amanda Lovelace. Leah Stone. Sarah Doughty. Nikita Gill. Lang Leave. Tyler Knott Gregson. Beau Taplin. Rupi Kaur. Margaret Atwood. Langston Hughes. Maya Angelou. But my absolute most favorite poem is by Finn Butler, "Saltwater". That is where the title line on my Tumblr is from.

You said Troy Engel probably torched my house Alena
Your people found out where my father had his money stashed and stole it. They ran it through your old name of Andrena Fisher. Was he the son of lila and king? The rat ass car salesman in paducah that works for the feds?
Anyway, you set me up. Thing is I recorded all of my calls. Like the one where you asked me to come to your house. The text where you asked me for my furniture to use after the fire. The video where you broke into my house. The video where you tried to steal my property at the Baymont Inn. The calls the night of the fire and the next day. The text of you and mindy talking about my retirement money. You has a court date set for Mindy and me for divorce that I knew nothing about, paid for on your debit card. The Wells Fargo Bank account info you had for Wells Fargo even though there was not a Well Fargo in Paducah. You even had me meet someone at the one beachside in Dayton Florida on Mason Ave, no one showed but guess you need a photo of me in the parking lot. Etc Etc Etc
You and Troy are career criminals who work in an organized crime syndicate out of Clarksville and Memphis, probably the Memphis Mofia or one of the bike clubs out of northwest tennessee. You know, like Paris Landing where your houseboat is docked. I am guess HA because of the info I am getting from Knott.
You two burn homes, flood homes and report losses for insurance fraud. You guys steal identities and fake death certificates. Like Dorthy Engel down in Memphis where you took me. Hell she died 16 years before you introduced us. You, Jade, Faith, Hope, Lila and crew set up people on charges, work for police and then get the guys to steal everything they own. Fraudulent VA home loans, sort sales to launder money, put the young girls out for prostitution, the strip clubs, the dope sales and informant work and finally the older women watch the kids and make more prostitutes. Even your sister Amanda was arrested for being a madam and chris mcwaters got caught up in it.
The one's who can't do the aforementioned simply train other and gangstalk the victims. They make sure the victims never can get to a place where they can figure out what happened. The gang stalkers protect the guys, the gals and the known associates by discrediting their victims and continuously report them to the police like your people did to me. It's one big symbiosis that help the criminals the law enforcement department. You guys are sick.

2, 9, 12, 27, 36 (most important ? Obviously), 44, 49, 55, 58
Thanks for fueling my lack of sleep! :D
Let’s see. Here we go!
2.have you ever found a writer who thinks just like you? if so, who?
Like, I think you can find sprinkles of your own thoughts in everyone, but just like me? Nope. I would take this opportunity though to point you towards Tyler Knott Gregson if you want some beautiful and short to read everyday.
9.what was the last concert you saw?
Would you believe me if I told you I’ve never had the opportunity? It’s the classic I can’t I have...whatever thing. Then after that, didn’t have anyone to go with 😭😭
I was supposed to go see Florence and the Machine for my birthday one year in undergrad but that didn’t happen for reasons and I’m still really damn sad about it.
12.what was the last thing that made you laugh?
This sounds so lame. The really nice guy at the post office who helped me not be a plebe and my dad who I called after. He’s in the middle of some remodeling and its more than a little entertaining.
27.what’s an inner joke you have with your friends?
Cindy. I’ll say no more. 🙃
36.what is your opinion of socks? do you like wearing weird socks? do you sleep with socks? do you confine yourself to white sock hell? really, just talk about socks.
Oh good one. Uh. I love socks? Different color socks. High socks. Low Socks. Patterned socks. No toe socks though. And I don’t know if I own white socks? Majority nike brand. Ankle/Crew. I can wear socks to sleep or not. Just depends. I can’t sleep AT ALL when my feet are cold. And....I’m also a gross who can throw vans on without socks and be generally fine. Just wash your feet regularly ya heathens.
44.do you like poetry? what are some of your faves?
Definitive Yes. TKG as noted before. Also Atticus. Bukowski (for some things). E.E. Cummings. Andrea Gibson. Sarah Key. Amanda Torroni. Lacey Roop. I’ll stop here but it continues on lol.
49.is there anything you should be doing right now but aren’t?
Sleeeeeeeeeeeping. Or school stuff. But, whatever on that I suppose.
55.do you like concept albums? which ones?
Concept albums....ya sure? I mean. I don’t go out like looking for them, but sure. I’m down. I guess I’ll just pick one? Marina and the Diamonds - Electra Heart. Which is a weird choice and not my usual music selection choice, but it’s a journey.
58.if you were presented with two buttons, one that allows you to go 5 years into the past, the other 5 years into the future, which one would you press? why?
I want to say 5 years in the future. But that’s BOLD. And realistically, I know I’d probably choose 5 years back. Get to start this adulthood thing over. Prevent some of my stupid fuck ups. Make some better choices. Tell people a little more what they meant to me before the after college drift. All the sappy stuff.
Well this got longer than intended but there’s that!

There are at least 43 Democratic black women running as challengers for U.S. House seats, but only one — Lauren Underwood of Illinois — has the backing of the national campaign organization.
Why it matters: Black women are a powerful voting bloc for the Democratic Party as they work to capture the House and Senate. In 2016, 94% of black women voted for Clinton over Trump. In Alabama's special election, they helped Doug Jones win — 98% of them voted for him, compared to just 34% of white women. Now they're running for office in overwhelming numbers, but some feel the party isn't investing in them.
The big picture: Right now, there are only 19 black women serving in Congress. Only 67 women of color overall have been members of Congress since 1964.
Be smart: The conversation about the party's support of the black community — both as voters and candidates — is not going away any time soon. Just look at Cynthia Nixon's gubernatorial campaign in New York, where she's getting headlines like "Cynthia Nixon's Political Run Should Be Taken Seriously Because She Takes Black Voters Seriously."
Black women running say their enthusiasm isn't matched by groups like the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Even the Congressional Black Caucus is backing Michael Capuano, the Democratic incumbent in Massachusetts' 7th district, over his challenger Ayanna Pressley, who's a black woman.
There's been a focus on the progressive vs. moderate fight within the Democratic Party, making some feel overlooked. "I think some of the other groups [like progressives] have gotten more attention than any racial group," Kimberly Hill Knott, who's running for Congress in Michigan, told Axios. " I don’t hear the national party talking about an urban agenda."
But one progressive candidate who is also black, Kerri Harris, who's running for U.S. Senate in Delaware, said she's had no recognition from the party. "They can keep pretending like we don’t exist or come out against us as candidates, but they’ll realize the best way to uphold our Democracy is to encourage it."
One big challenge: Politics is driven by money. If you're not raising a lot of it, you're viewed as unelectable. But raising money as a first-time candidate and a black woman is often half the battle, according to the candidates interviewed by Axios.
They have ambitions to raise money, but $200,000 was the highest fundraising goal I was told.
Electability is not just about money, but the numbers are telling. Underwood, the Illinois candidate who has the backing of the DCCC, has raised more than $590,000 so far. By contrast, Alabama candidate Adia McClellan Winfrey has raised $8,756.25, and Alabama's Audri Scott Williams raised $25,352, per FEC filings.
"These are organizations that are meant to help make sure black interests are represented and yet everybody is looking at who’s more electable based on money."
-Alabama congressional candidate Audri Scott Williams
The other side: While some candidates want more from the national party, black women were praised at the DNC's annual Women's Leadership Forum this year, with Democrats like Rep. Maxine Waters and DNC Vice Chair Grace Meng calling them the "backbone" of the party.
The DNC’s Political and Organizing Director Amanda Brown Lierman said in a statement: “While the DNC does not endorse in contested primaries, we work with our state parties to make sure first-time candidates have the tools and information they need.” She added: “African-American women are the backbone of the Democratic Party, and we know we can't take them for granted. That's why we've made meaningful investments in our state parties in order to turn out and engage women of color.”
The DCCC didn’t address the number of black women on their Red to Blue list, but said they’ll keep working on diversity of candidates because it’s “crucial to winning back the House.” DCCC spokesman Kamau Marshall added: “The DCCC is proud to support the historic number of women and African American candidates running for Congress, who will bring a wealth of knowledge and cultural competence to the political table for Democrats.”

CBS ON THE AIR: A CELEBRATION OF 50 YEARS ~ Part 1
March 26 – April 1, 1978
Tumblr media
The origins of CBS date back to January 27, 1927, with the creation of the "United Independent Broadcasters" network. The fledgling network soon needed additional investors though, and the Columbia Phonograph Company, manufacturers of Columbia Records, rescued it in April 1927; as a result, the new network was renamed the Columbia Phonographic Broadcasting System on September 18 of that year. Columbia Phonographic went on the air on September 18, 1927, with a presentation by the Howard L. Barlow Orchestra from flagship station WOR in Newark, New Jersey, and fifteen affiliates. This was the birth of CBS radio.
CBS's involvement in television dates back to the opening of experimental station W2XAB in New York City on July 21, 1931. Its initial broadcast featured New York Mayor Jimmy Walker, Kate Smith, and George Gershwin. The station boasted the first regular seven-day broadcasting schedule in American television, broadcasting 28 hours a week.
Tumblr media
To celebrate its fiftieth year of broadcasting, CBS devoted seven nights to a celebration of their history – nine and a half hours of air time: “CBS: On The Air – A Celebration of 50 Years.” The goal was to bring together more than 100 network stars, past and present, with Walter Cronkite and Mary Tyler Moore serving as overall hosts. Other stars and personalities stepped up to host nights they were associated with. The event was produced by Alexander H. Cohen and written by his wife, Hildy Parks.
The music for the event was written by some of the greatest theatre composers of the time with the main musical theme written by Leonard Bernstein. “Member of the Family” was written by Jerry Herman. “Cowboys and Clowns” was written by Jule Styne.
The event's announcer was Dick Tufeld.
The schedule:
Sunday, March 26 - “Night of 100 Stars” - co-hosted by Telly Savalas and Jean Stapleton
Monday, March 27 - “Have a Laugh on Us” - with Lucille Ball, George Burns, Arthur Godfrey, and Bea Arthur
Tuesday, March 28 - “Chills and Thrills with a Laugh Chaser” with Alan Alda, Garry Moore, and Phil Silvers
Wednesday, March 29 - “Dreams Come True” with Dick Van Dyke, Buddy Ebsen, Cicely Tyson, and Danny Kaye
Thursday, March 30 - “Join the Family” with Richard Thomas and the cast of “The Waltons”
Friday, March 30 - “We’re Getting Personal” with Lauren Bacall, Eve Arden, Bert Convy, Richard Crenna, Bonnie Franklin, Jim Nabors, and Linda Lavin
Saturday, April 1 - “A Rootin’, Tootin’, Hootin’ & Hollerin’ Salute to Cowboys and Clowns” with Carol Burnett, Carroll O’Connor, Art Carney, Isabel Sanford, Tony Randall, and Sherman Hemsley
Although CBS attempted to bring together as many of its stars as possible, a few were just unable–or unwilling–to be involved. According to TV Guide, Cher and Amanda Blake were sick, while ABC refused to allow Cloris Leachman to participate in a special on another network. Supposedly, Charlton Heston declined to give CBS permission to use his likeness.
Tumblr media
Lucille Ball, who helped bring the television network to prominence in the 1950s, was part of the celebrations on Sunday as one of the 100 stars, and on Monday, the night she ruled on CBS with her three sitcoms.
Like other network anniversary celebrations, “CBS: On the Air” has never been repeated nor has it been officially released on any format. However, The Paley Center for Media has more than 40 listings relating to the specials, including complete installments, clip compilations, and rough cut reels.
Although they are not near each other on stage due to the alphabetical order of entrances, this is the last time Lucille Ball and Vivian Vance would be on the same television show.  Vance would make one more appearance on her own before her death in 1979.
Lucy Ricardo: “What are you? The Cuban television network?” Ricky Ricardo: “Yes. CBS. The Cuban Broadcasting System.”
Tumblr media
Sunday, March 26 - “Night of 100 Stars”
The 115 (or so) stars were introduced to viewers by the night that they first enjoyed success, starting with Sunday. Lucille Ball enters during the second group (Monday) and is one of the first because the stars are introduced alphabetically. Vivian Vance ends the Monday night group. It takes nearly nine minutes to introduce all the “members of the CBS family.”
Here are the CBS Stars with professional connections to Lucille Ball:
Sundays
Tumblr media
Arlene Francis (“What's My Line?”) was a panelist for Lucille Ball's six appearances on “What's My Line?” from 1954 to 1965.
Alan Funt (“Candid Camera”) guest-starred as himself (and his evil doppelganger) on “Lucy and the Candid Camera” (HL S4;E14) in 1971.
Valerie Harper (“Rhoda”) was in the chorus of Wildcat (1960) on Broadway starring Lucille Ball. Harper joined Lucy on “Dinah!” singing “Hey Look Me Over” in 1976 and sang a musical tribute to Ball at “The Kennedy Center Honors” in 1987.
Ann Sothern (“Private Secretary”) was one of Lucille Ball's closest friends from her days at RKO. Ball would always say that she would hang around the casting office asking if there were any roles Ann Sothern was too busy to do. She guest-starred as her “Private Secretary” character on the very first “Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour.”  In return, Lucy appeared on her next sitcom, “The Ann Sothern Show.” Sothern played Rosie, the Countess Frambois, in several episodes of “The Lucy Show.”
Nancy Walker (“Rhoda”) did the 1943 film Best Foot Forward with Lucille Ball.
Mondays
Tumblr media
Beatrice Arthur (“Maude”) starred opposite Lucille Ball in the 1974 musical film Mame, recreating the role she created on Broadway. Like Valerie Harper, she paid tribute to Ball in song at “The Kennedy Center Honors” in 1987.
Lucille Ball (“I Love Lucy” / “The Lucy Show” / “Here's Lucy”)
