What I think will be sad and sweet is having Chase and Liam talk about the feelings and experiences of half-siblings along with absent parents.

Liam and Chase sat in their assigned spots in detention. The teacher had gone out for a minute to speak to the principal. Liam could hear them saying that they would phone the parents. The blonde had started the fight as he did most times.

Chase didn't throw any hits or even retaliated back. However when the teacher pulled them from the 'fight' Chase said he did. And that was the thing that irked Liam the most. How chase

Never did Liam thought he would have something in common with his enemy-

Chase Boxleitner.

As long as he could remember he held a grudge against the brown haired preteen. Wall not really a grudge. But moreso on the line of jealousy. Here Chase had both of his parents in his life. Except....

He didn't actually.

Liam had assumed all this time given by how many times he saw Chase with his family at the P.T.As and neighborhood cookouts. He even called the orange haired lady mother for Pete's sake! It just didn't make sense. There weren't actually related. Sure Liam's dad married Keen. But he didn't call him father.

It just did not make sense to him.

Then again nothing made sense about Chase. Liam stared at said boy who was holding the icepack on his arm. Liam looked away not wanting to feel that ping of guilt for hurting his classmate. Being soft meant people would pity him. And he didn't want pity. Still...he felt inclined ask:

"you don't feel replaced?"

Chase looked up at him with his mismatched eyes. They didn't hold malice however Liam could tell he was thinking things over. "No...not really. " Chase says. he paused before admitting. "Sometimes I do feel out of place though...like an oddball"

"you are one." Liam says rolling his eyes. His tone wasn't smug however. He was quiet for a bit before adding "I feel that way sometimes ..."

She was taken to a safe haven fire station a few days after she was born

Amazo also happened to be at that fire station at a meeting about updated procedures, performance reviews, and all that stuff.

He was the one who answered the door and it was absolutely pouring outside and there she was on the footsteps of the entrance.

Amazo took her inside and the meeting stopped so they could check her vitals and all that. She’s perfectly healthy, just cold and wet.

When they’re deciding on what to do next, Amazo offers to be the one to take her to the hospital to do the check ups but they have to wait until the rain stops

He calls Steven from the station and fills him in because he might be late from work and he’s just so captivated by this little baby he talks about how beautiful and tiny she is.

Steven knows it’s not his place to talk about wanting to see her because they have to follow the proper adoption procedure but he does daydream about meeting her and taking her home since they’ve been prepping for taking in a child and giving them everything they need and more.

Once the rain stops, Amazo goes to the hospital and they do the check up on her all afternoon and give her a bunch of stuff like handmade mittens and a beanie and a bunch of cute baby things.

The city’s adoption agency rep arrives and talks to Amazo, telling him they’re finding a home for her to stay and that he can leave if he wants to.

He says he wants to stay until her foster family arrives.

They says that they actually have a really good option for a family that could adopt her and they meet and excel in every criteria.

His heart sinks, thinking that he’ll probably never see her again after today and nods.

While he waits, the person from the agency lets him know they officially selected the family and that one of the members is on the way.

Amazo is dreading having to let her go after bonding with her all day and holding her but nods again.

The person from the agency says “one more thing, he wanted me to tell you the family we selected as you may know each other. It’s the Boxleitner family, guardians being Steven and Adam.

Amazo tries not to freak out and says he does know them and is happy she’s going to such a good home.

Steven arrives and he meets with Amazo and the rep and they introduce themselves formally and Steven and Amazo awkwardly pretend they're not literally married for a sec.

Steven: Before we get started, I need to call my husband and see his ETA so we can both meet her here and do all the paperwork

rep: good idea! we'll wait here.

amazo: "o-oh, was that a security alarm? i gotta go check that out it was lovely meeting you, bye!" he hands the baby to the rep and skedaddles, reappearing as adam a few moments later.

Steven comes back from the hallway he was just standing in and pretends he just hung up and says adam should be here soon, which he is.

they do all the legal stuff and steven gets to hold her for the first time and adam pretends like he wasn't just hanging out with her all day and holds her too.

julia immediately feels safe and happy with adam because hes been with her all day and when they get home, steven sets up all the baby stuff he bought a few hours before. (he had a list of items he heavily researched for a bunch of age groups so he already knew what he needed)

they didnt have to name her when picking her up so they think about it for a few days, bc they weren't expecting a baby without a name to join their family statistically, they had overwhelmingly prepped for an older kid but they did so much research they were still very prepared for a baby.

they both take some time off to really get the house ready and find a good routine for their baby.

they end up deciding on the name "Julia" after their favorite chef and because the nicknames are cute like "julie" or "jules"

they learn they LOVE taking naps with her and she becomes a very cuddly toddler who loves being held and talked to

shes one of those kids that practices talking on her own and doesnt like to be watched while she talks until she can speak full sentences xD

steven takes a two year sabbatical from his university job to be with her (since adam cant really take that much time off) and he talks to her a LOT and she really absorbs what he says (steven loves infodumping and julia loves listening xD)

she is never told that amazo and adam are the same person but its very obvious to her like,,,, they smell the same, they talk the same, both are so strong, both have the same smile, etc.

steven is dad, and adam is papa (the baby version of those for the first few years)

they adopt that orange kitty from their apartment and a cute dog amazo rescued and julia loves them both a lot.

the orange cat is sometimes very loud and julia will take one of her other pacifiers and stick it in the tabbys mouth and it surprisingly loves it xD

during stevens time as a stay at home dad, he has urges to do dangerous experiements bc its his favorite thing but obviously cant. he opts for safer things to do around the house and to show julia like cooking and home repair related

He ends up renting out a space that he goes to during “papa and Julia” days and gets to do whatever he wants (within reason) without worrying about Julia being hurt or something. Also it’s nice to have some alone time

Adams schedule is very tight at first but after a few years when wordgirl enters the superhero scene, they split up the workload so they both have time for their families (this is an au btw like there is no two brains and amazo never leaves)

He LOVES being a dad and it means so much to him on a very personal level bc he’s being the dad he wishes he had growing up before being sent to earth. His earth dad is awesome! But the hurt and abuse he endured back home was enough to make him question parenthood even tho it was a personal calling he really wanted to do. He lets Julia do so many things and Steven helps a lot because sometimes his knee jerk reaction is to panic (at first) but he learns that it’s okay and things are different and better on earth

They love going to the park and taking nature hikes so they can learn about the different plants and see pretty sights. Adam usually carries Julia back and she falls asleep and Steven and Adam can talk about more grown up things like work and what’s for dinner etc.

The boxleitners and the Botsfords are coincidentally next door neighbors so Tim often babysits when both Steven and Adam are busy or going out for a date night.

Tim LOVES Julia and likes to tell Becky and TJ about what they were like as toddlers through seeing Julia. Becky TJ and Bob like to play with her and Tim handles the other stuff like feeding her and diaper changes and all that so it’s actually a fun babysitting time for the Botsford kids

Julia doesn’t really talk except for noises and pointing and nodding for a while. Steven and Adam do become a little concerned as to why she’s not speaking until one day they’re having breakfast together and Adam is reading the paper, filling everyone in about city stuff for the day, and Julia goes: “papa, can I read the paper today?” And they’re both like !!!!!! HELLO YOU CAN TALK?? They’re both so excited and he hands her the paper. She lays it flat on the table and stands on her chair and points at the pictures and starts making shit up from what she sees and not actually reading. They hold back their laughter and listen to her ramble for like 15 mins through the entire paper until she decides she’s given a good presentation and sits back down to finish her juice. They didn’t know they could love her even more and adam is trying so hard not to laugh like “what do you MEAN you think I just look at the pictures and lie???” XD Steven is thinking the same thing and they’re both on such a high from hearing her actually talk to them for the first time.

While stevens a stay at home dad, he doesn’t have much issue with carrying her around and she asks if he’ll carry her around everywhere forever. He says he’ll try as long as he can but he’s not very strong but papa will since he’s VERY strong. She gets so sad at the thought of one day he won’t be able to carry her places anymore so that night steven talks to Adam and tells him about it. He asks if Adam could help him in strength training so while Julia grows up, Steven can get stronger so he can delay that dreadful day as far as possible. Adam agrees and gets excited to have Steven with him in something he really likes (Steven does go with him sometimes but it’s really just to watch Adam LMAO)

Julia’s special interests from a very early age are astronomy and geology/archeology. She thinks it’s so cool that there’s so much out there and it’s beautiful and there will never be a day where there isn’t something new to see, especially with Adam telling her the most incredible things about the universe and Steven explaining the science in more detail. She also loves geology because it tells a story about her own home: earth. Everything she sees and hears about the universe and space is reflected on earth like formations of rocks and what’s in those rocks

In this au steven and Adam are SO DOMESTIC it makes me cry they love their little family so much AUGH-

They stay up late on her birthday every year to decorate the entire house inside and out so julia feels so loved and special

After battles (bc mr big is still a bad guy) he sends amazo home with the baby/toddler lines from his clothing company once he accidentally learns amazo is a new dad. Steven doesn’t know how to feel about their continued friendship (like b99 jake and the Pontiac bandit) and checks the clothing for mind control devices (finds nothing) and lets her wear it so she can match with papa xD

I’ll add more xD this au has overtaken my mind palace, there are baby toys and amazing cheese propaganda scattered EVERYWHERE

Somehow I ended up making this long enough to put under a read more.

I don’t really have favorites, per se? I love my friends’ blogs of course. Although I’d also like to give a shout-out to @kasuria and @toasty-coconut for inspiring me with their amazing fanchildren. (My fanchildren have been neglected lately, but my fankids and the pokeani fandom in general really are what inspired me to start drawing and writing again.) Their idol posts also made me curious about Love Live!, and I’m honestly so glad to be in idol hell. Aside from the catchy songs, cute outfit designs, and likable characters… Love Live! is overall just so positive in its messages, and that franchise has been so beneficial for my emotional/mental state. They lift me up and encourage me when I’m down. They calm me when I’m stressed. They provide excellent bgm for long car rides and fodder material for fanart.

“An idol’s job isn’t to smile. It’s to make others smile.” Nico said something along those lines, and she’s 1000% right.

So uh… this ended up longer and more sentimental than I originally planned, because I’m a cheese ball with a lot of feelings, and I’m very awkward about tagging people so I hope that’s okay, but I answered the question!

a buch of random doodles i decided to draw today.  Mus is technically blu’s half sis since they both share the same dad. just live in different universes/timelines. Kimi would probably get along well with Blu. Blu collects alot of random junk that she can use to play around with and fix up. many antics happen between the AU kids. Like his dad, Chase has a super hero alter ego. I think they would get along. Maybe Chase would as Dart if he knows about or has met any species from Amazo Guy's home planet. They would be great sibling friends. Also Chase is grateful that Dart's crush on Victoria gets her off his back.

They wouldn’t pay too much attention to him, not recognizing him out of his villain persona. Despite being rivals with amazo lad. He did at one point wanted to be friends with chase. (Yeah they don’t know each other’s identities)

And Steven having a crisis on how to be a good dad despite Blu being his third child. They have yet to tell her that her siblings are super heroes fighting crime that’s why she can’t hangout with them very much.

The blog mostly follows along a beck boxleitner au storyline as well as lore made by my friends and I. As well as featuring my redesigns of the canon characters. This blog does heavily feature a canon x oc ship (experimental cheese. Steven/Dr. Two brains x oc).

The three main characters you can ask are:

(occasionally squeaky. Yes the mouse is still around in this au)

You can send asks for other characters but the main focus will be on the boxleitner kids.

There will be a storyline I am trying to follow with this but however I can take random semi off topic asks. My content will sometimes include angst but will be properly tag with trigger warnings as I go along. Possible death -shrugs-- bc you never know.

Between chatting with @ninjastormhawkkat @liloskull343 and a few peeps on discord I have a few ideas.

Blu's a wraith. Pretty friendly and bubbly. Was very sick as a toddler before she passed away. Loves to play hide and seek.

Chase is a clone child of Steven and amazo/Adam in this Au too. And also shares the same were mouse curse as steven .

Ruben takes more so after his mom, miss question in looks. Except when you look at him you can't look away. He's very shy tho and tends to hide.

Liam is pretty much half of both of his parents - imposter Angel miss power and amazing rope guy who is just a regular human. Also reclusive. Knows the world will end someday, just doesn't have the energy to care much

Beverly and Simon are Seymour's adopted kids. (He adopted them around 50 years ago and turned them into vampires) Simon is a lol gremlins and loves to play pranks on people. Bev is more relaxed and calm tho she does try risky stuff like seeing how long she can stand in the sun without bursting into flames.

Rhea is an ice gargoyle type monster (can't remember what rhyme and reason were in this Au so I took some liberties) still has ice powers tho more concentrated

Paperjam is basically flat stanely. Or at least a mini version of him. He got created by accident after a copy machine went haywire. He calls Beatrice mom and the butcher dad (they dont mind)
