i'm very not normal about this song but i've never been able to be very articulate when i talk about why... regardless, i think it speaks to jamie's relationship with losing people in his life (mainly marcie) && also his gruff exterior, && the sort of lifestyle he has that suggests one of a wanderer (regarding his monster hunting) juxtaposed against the monotonous stability of his vice principal job.
